Long Beach Airport is one of the easiest airports to travel through. It’s simple to get to, parking is a breeze, and pickup/drop-off is quick and hassle-free. The terminal is clean and well-organized, making both arrivals and departures smooth and efficient. A great alternative to larger airports in the area

Google
If you’re flying in or out of LA, Long Beach Airport is a hidden gem. It’s small, super easy to get through (security in five minutes or less!), and has a relaxed, open-air layout that feels way more like a resort than an airport. There’s cool art and murals all around, and for its size, it has a solid lineup of food options too. It’s also incredibly easy to get to if you’re staying in Long Beach or nearby. Honestly, once you fly through Long Beach, you won’t want to deal with LAX again!

Mackenna Taylor

Google
This airport is small but beautiful. It is very easily walk able with no stairs (that I encountered) and a short walk to passenger pick up/drop off. I flew in late and left early in the morning but will absolutely use this airport again. The food options were not open when I arrived but when I left, the bakery stand was running and the doughnut I got was very very good. The staggering was warm, helpful and pleasant to engage with and both times boarding went very quickly. I flew Southwest, as a reference for airlines

Google
Long Beach is my favorite LA area airport by far. On and off straight to the tarmac. Super easy security. Kitschy vending machines. What's not to love. And it's super fast to get on and off the plane when they board and deplane from both front and back doors.

Russ Dahlberg

Google
This is definitely my new favorite way to fly. Our last few flights have been out of Long Beach and the stress levels were almost non-existent! Drop off and pickups are a breeze. The only caveat is if your layover airport is having weather issues and your flight gets cancelled, there are a lot fewer options for alternative flights. But for how fast the deplaning and luggage collection and arrivals pickups are, LGB is the best.

Dani Mai

Google
First time flying out of LGB. The boarding process is impressively efficient, thanks to the ability to board from both the front and rear of the plane—this really speeds things up. The airport itself is small, which means minimal foot traffic and a more relaxed atmosphere overall. The waiting area is a nice touch, offering both indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff were mostly friendly.

Google
My husband and I usually fly Delta, United, or American out of LAX for domestic trips, but this time we scored a great Southwest deal: LGB-HOU-MSY. It was perfect since it flew out of Long Beach Airport, which is so much closer to home and way less hectic (just thinking about the Memorial Day crowds at LAX was enough to say nope). Even though we had to connect in Houston, the layover was only 30 minutes, and we got to check in 4 bags for free before 5/28/2025, can’t beat that, so we booked it right away! Self check-in, dropping off luggage, security, and baggage claim were all super easy. If you want a hassle-free airport experience in Southern California, I’d definitely recommend flying in and out of LGB.

Lonnie McDonald

Google
Long Beach Airport- Long Beach California Clean well lit and very simple to navigate with 4 gates. Surprisingly the onboarding ramps still roll up to the planes and the ones I used were not covered. Handicap entrances to the terminal and gates as well as seating in the gate area. It was interesting that so much of the airport is outside.

Yelp
For those who are trying to get to Disneyland, I highly recommend this airport over LAX which is a friggn nightmare. This is a wonderful place that processes everything so quickly whether you are departing or arriving. Luggage Tip: Whether you're flying Hawaiian or Southwest, check in your bags on the Kiosk before getting in line. You just print the labels out, slap it on the luggage, and once it's your turn, you just drop off the bags and go. Check In Lines: Far left of the Gate Entrance is the regular check in and the far right is the Pre-Check TSA. Although PreCheck is obviously faster, you get in lickity split regardless of the lines! The food here is alright. Because it's such a small airport, there's very limited choices. I would recommend eating before coming here. Possibly Porto's!

Yelp
I love everything about this airport. The easy parking, the small manageable size, the beautiful outdoor zen garden space. When I used to drink, I would zip over after work, have a glass (or two) of Chardonnay at 4th St Vine and relax before flying to visit my folks. Paradies Boathouse is a great place to get a sandwich. My husband and I split the Boathouse Club $18. If you haven't booked a flight at LGB and are still going to John Wayne or LAX, save yourself the headaches and money. Come to this sweet little airport where you can still walk on the tarmac and board the plane in the front AND the back.

Yelp
Never had the chance to visit this airport until a few months ago. I used to think Burbank was my favorite airport in California, now I think LGB is! Super convenient and very fast. I don't need for the place to be very extravagant, or with lots of walkways. I don't ever buy things at airports, I don't eat or drink at airports, so those don't really apply to me. What does apply to me is to be able to get into the premise very quickly, with TSA very close by the terminals, and to be able to The rental area was just across the street, unlike Burbank where you need to basically take another airplane (joke) to get to the rental area (a plethora of flat escalators and regular escalators as well). Never visited Long Beach before, it was nice! It reminds me of Oakland on a good day (a really good day I should say). I grew up listening to Summertime in the LBC by The Dove Shack, having never been there before. You bet I was playing it when the plane was landing and I was walking out!

Yelp
After booking a deep discounted ticket with Southwest to Las Vegas, I was excited to fly out of Long Beach airport. It's been such a long time, I opted to park in the covered lot B which is $20.00 a day and just a short walk to the terminal. The airport really hasn't changed much and it's super convenient and efficient to check in bags and to go thru TSA. I really despise flying out of LAX since it's a nightmare getting there, going thru Tsa and parking is a pain. It's been especially painful since the airport is under construction with no end in site. I'm making it a point in the future to fly out of LGB as much as possible since its less stressful and super convenient.

Yelp
First time flying into Long Beach Airport & I'd do it again in a heartbeat!!! Due to its smaller size compared to LAX, coming and going is such a breeze. Things are much more simplified here. Immediately after arrival, baggage claim is just a hop, skip, and a jump away. Our party of 3 then took a few more steps to the car rentals building and was on the road before we knew it. Extra points because the dining options weren't too shabby and the ground crew were some of the most friendliest staff I'd even encountered!! 5 stars but I wish I could give it MORE!! I highly recommend coming and going through LBG if you are interested in smaller crowds, prompt service, and friendly encounters. Nothing compares!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Easiest check in, TSA security is fast and the employees are really friendly and helpful. The restrooms are very clean and there are plenty stalls for women. There restaurants for your convenience and stores for last minute shopping. I love flying for Long Beach!

Yelp
Long Beach Airport: the cutest little airport you've ever seen, with a vibe like someone thought, "Let's do an airport, but make it charming." It's small, it's cozy, and you're through security in about five minutes - which is great, because if you're flying Southwest, you'll have plenty of time to admire the place. They seem to treat "on time" as more of a suggestion than a rule. So settle in, enjoy the breezy outdoor seating area, and get comfy... you and Southwest are in for a bit of a wait!
google avatar

Yelp
Really enjoyed my time here. I had to meet someone and needed a little assistance. Everyone i encountered was super helpful and I loved to therapy dog that was roaming around. Just a great experience and big thank you to the southwest team!.

Yelp
Easy in easy out! Great small airport for flying into, However we always fly out of LAX since there are limited flights out if any delays occur
google avatar

Nancy V.

Yelp
If only all airports could be this quick and easy but prices can be expensive if not booked in advance. Minimal choices of restaurants but they work considering you don't have to arrive so early because going through TSA and luggage is always so fast. Parking is walking distance and a weekend probably cost about a 1 way Uber trip to LAX. Boathouse is always my go to when flying out from here.
google avatar

Chantha S.

Yelp
Small airport, easy parking, what a breeze check in. Definitely recommend. Terminal was easy peasy to find. Mini market to grab snacks and water.
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
I travel a lot and this is probably the best airport in regards to efficiency. Rental car, check baggage, TSA, gates, all within a super short walk. Love this airport.

Yelp
Have been flying, pickups/drop offs from here for many years and never thought to do a review until recently! I dropped off and then picked up my friend. Drop off was easily. It was early in the morning, so there were other people there too, but it wasn't too bad or congested with cars. Upon arrival, I noticed how the little LBC airport I have known for many years has expanded and a lot of upgrades have been added inside and outside of the airport. You can still see the original building structure and it brought back a lot of nostalgic feelings. Remember JetBlue there anyone? Pick up, I got there early and decided to park at their cellphone lot, which made waiting more convenient and less stressful. Pick up was a lot busier and more crowded! Not impossible like LAX, but just be more aware because there's a lot going on all at once! Overall, great little airport.

Yelp
Seamless process unlike LAX. However, 2 people have been caught lacking, one lady lost her Starbucks gold cup, and one lady lost her phone and both items were given back, but they woulda ended up in the lost and found if not. TSA is okay but you can't bring plastic bottles with you but you can bring HydroFlasks or Stanley cups. Other than that, the pat down lady was nice. She complimented my Olympics jacket and asked where I got it from! Overall, the seating area to wait for the plane is cool and clean, pulling up was easy and boarding the plane it's a 30 delay. Other than that I believe this ticket cost was like $ IDK, because my sister offered to pay! Other than that, everyone's on their devices or chatting.

Yelp
I'm a frequent flyer, and I refuse to fly out of anywhere in LA County besides Long Beach Airport! It's always a breeze navigating this quaint airport. I love its size and how everything is conveniently close. They've also made great improvements, like moving the baggage area indoors--no more worrying about wet luggage! Even when it's "crowded," TSA and check-in agents are fast and efficient compared to other airports I've been to. It's always calm and quiet here, despite the usual airport chaos. Plus whenever I need to leave my car there, it's always been safe and untouched. The rates in the garage to leave cars are also cheaper to most airports I've been in. Long Beach Airport is definitely the best!
google avatar

Judy L.

Yelp
Never flew into this airport before and I am not wondering why not! It is small but so cute and quick to get in and out of. My friend said it is easy for her to pick us up from and drop off too.
google avatar

Edwin R.

Yelp
Very easy airport to fly in and out. Limited selection for eats but there's a couple of good sit down place on both ends. The middle is an open space and you get to enjoy the nice Long Beach weather. Always nice and breezy and never too hot. You can also hear and see all the planes land and take off. What a treat. Cheers!
google avatar

Jocelyn O.

Yelp
Excellent experience participating in the Long Beach Airplane Pull for Special Olympics! Together with other organizations raised $180,000 for a worthy cause. Each team of 25 people had to see how fast you can pull the 62 ton plane for 12 feet. First place to LAPD south teams. Second place went to UPS Base team and third place went to LAPD SWAT team! Thank you to all to those who donated, the volunteers and the participants!
google avatar

Trinh V.

Yelp
It was a nice and easy airport to get in and out of. Sometimes the flights allow you to leave the plane from either end (the front or back), which was different and nice to dilute traffic. Baggage claim was quick and easy as well, and bathrooms were nearby. We were in and out pretty quick and it was easy to find our way out.
google avatar

Yelp
This was my first time at Long Beach Airport, and I loved it! It's small, but I really enjoyed the outdoor areas. There's no jet bridge, which adds a unique vibe to the experience. The Southwest terminal was busy, as expected, but overall, it's a great airport. Plus, it's only about 30 minutes from Disneyland, which made the trip even better!
google avatar

Yelp
It's one of my favorite airports to travel to and from. I travel a considerable amount for professional and personal travel. I must say Long Beach is one of my favorites. Disclaimer: I am not considering international Airports, they are in a category all on their own. Let's jump right into this review. Pros 1. Small, quaint - if you are looking for less airport drama, that includes parking, getting through security, bag drop, and super crowded areas, Long Beach is a great option. 2. Outside eating area with beach vibes. During the summer months, this is an amazing option to sit out, catch some sun, and/or a breeze while you wait to board your plane. 3. On-site parking is only $20 per day, $29 if you valet per day. Compared to LAX $50 per day, you are winning here. 4. Cell phone waiting lot for those who need to pick up travelers. There is no charge. Say what! A lot of airports don't have waiting areas. It's a short drive about to get to the entrance where most travelers wait for rides and/or Ubers. 5. Clean. If you are a frequent traveler, then you know some airports are just disgusting. 6. Friendly staff. 7. You board your plane from the front and back. Sometimes you can deplane the same way. It makes for a quick getting on and off. 8. Baggage claim is a short work from the main terminal (the only terminal), which has ample seating and restrooms. Cons 1. Limited food options but given the size it is expected. 2. If something goes wrong, equipment challenges, delayed flights, etc - it makes for a complicated situation. 3. Only three airlines at Long Beach Airport - Delta, Hawaiian, or Southwest. When I can, I fly out of Long Beach Airport. The cost of an Uber one way is more expensive than parking 4 days at the airport. If I'm traveling for an extended period of time, I opt for self parking. For me, going right to my car and home with no waiting on an Uber is worth the $20 per day parking fee.

Yelp
I love this airport. We used to try to fly Jet Blue, and we now use Southwest when we can. The drop off and pickup each saves at least 1-hour of time, and we don't get the stress associated with traffic mess in and around LAX. The security check is sooooo much faster than LAX. The open spaces and outside courtyard between terminals are much more pleasant than the enclosed terminals at LAX.
google avatar

Zabrina W.

Yelp
I love the Long Beach airport for travel. It is small cute and not intimidating. Staff are generally friendly and helpful. The walk to the departure gate is not far and there are a few places to eat in the event you are hungry. This is the best little local airport
google avatar

Emily A.

Yelp
Absolutely love this airport!! As soon as you step off the plane onto the ramp to the ground you feel a humid breeze of vacation air. The rustling palm trees, the open air baggage claim, and the small cozy atmosphere make this one of my very favorite airports. Last year we were stuck for hours here due to our plane losing its front wheel on landing. Everyone was gracious. Only complaint is some of the restaurants lack customer service but unfortunately that's the world we live in these days. Construction seems to be done and it turned out so lovely!
google avatar

Ted J.

Yelp
One of the nicest airports I've ever been in. Mostly outdoors and that's wonderful. Great video wall too
google avatar

Angela G.

Yelp
If you have to go to the airport, this is how you do it. This is one of the few LA airports where you could arrive 30 minutes before (during non peak seasons/times) and you can probably make your flight. Going through TSA was quick and easy. Then it's a 5 minute max walk to your gate. The staff can be hit or miss. But no one was overly rude and plenty of people were friendly. Parking in the lots is $20 (lot B) or $25 (lot A) a day based on proximity. Also tickets were cheaper here than other area airports. Keep in mind that they only have a few airlines that fly out of here.
google avatar

Dave H.

Yelp
One of the most pleasant airports we have visited. So much better than LAX. Much of it is open air, which works in SoCal. You go into a building to check in and drop off bags. You go outside to get into security line. You go outside to board your plane, even a 737. Why not 5 stars? Because the dining options for early travelers are so limited. I got some tacos and the eggs were not seasoned and my wife waited in line a long time for mediocre coffee. This airport was not designed for Southwest. The bollards with the sequence numbers are in the same aisle passengers have to navigate to get to the restrooms or gates.
google avatar

Cecille C.

Yelp
I lallaalala love LGB!! It is a small airport but so fast and convenient. Flights out of here can be a little expensive but if you can find a deal then it is worth it! The Tsa line can get a little backed up since it is a smaller airport. But if you have Tsa pre check then there should be no issues as it runs way faster. I like how they have an outdoor area in case you need fresh air. It is conveniently located next to the bar, so you can grab a drink or even a mimosa if its earlier in the day! I will keep flying out of here every chance that I get.
google avatar

Hector G.

Yelp
I wouldn't exactly consider myself a world traveler by any stretch of the imagination, but I have been to a lot of airports across the country. This is an example of what it is like to be in Southern California. The airport is an outdoor, open, airy, chill location that is so much nicer than flying into LAX. To catch a cruise ship or drive down to Irvine for work stuff, this is the airport for me. I live in Northern California, and my home airport is SFO. It's a hot mess. Down here, they do things simply and quickly. it doesn't hurt that they have a limited amount of carriers at this location, but that's the beauty of it. We walked through the TSA check in less than 4 minutes, on a Sunday afternoon, with various cruise ships unloading peeps curbside all day long. They also have the coolest gift shop, with Long Beach t-shirts, coffee cups, etc. All the swag is pricey, and that's to be expected. The dining options are not the greatest, but each will get the job done.
google avatar

Jennifer Nicole G.

Yelp
Quaint airport located in the upper east side of Long Beach, accommodating Southwest, Delta and Hawaiian airlines passengers. LGB offers TSA precheck, CLEAR and has on site car rentals. The airport is in the process of upgrading and has been under construction for several months now. Checking bags is super simple with multiple self check kiosks. Inside the terminal post security is very nice. I particularly like the outdoor courtyard home to a variety of native plants and birds. It's my favorite place to sit at the airport. Unfortunately once you're inside the terminal near any gate, the seating is scarce and it's super stuffy inside. There is never enough space during the boarding process and it's always very cramped. Boarding the airplane is different than a traditional airport. Boarding takes place outside and you often board from the back of the plane or both doors. Overall, this airport is a great option if flying into the area! I'd pick this over LAX any day! Just wish the terminal was a bit larger because there's never seating and very crowded when lining up to board.
google avatar

Sharon H.

Yelp
This is such a convenient airport. It is easy to get in and out. There is one place to drop off and pick up so that can get crowded. Much of the airport is outdoor which is great for enjoying the SoCal weather. There are not a lot of airlines or flights in and out, but it is a good alternative to LAX.
google avatar

Trina W.

Yelp
Direct flights to and from Reno, wasn't navigate, on site car rental and less than 30 minutes from Anaheim?!? Need I say more? This is a great little airport. I have switched from SNA to LGB any opportunity I get.
google avatar

Cindy T.

Yelp
My airport is better than yours. (If you're not using this airport, of course.) This is absolutely the cutest, friendliest, and happiest airport! This year for Valentine's Day, they had a poet with an old fashioned typewriter creating individual poems for people. https://fb.watch/qIQNSNl9VS/?mibextid=Nif5oz For Christmas last year they had a TSA caroling group (that was shockingly good!!!), a local high school jazz band, and who knows what else. All for the lucky patrons of this tiny little airport with eleven gates. https://fb.watch/qIQUwH7XP9/?mibextid=Nif5oz https://fb.watch/qIQVX_Iohv/?mibextid=Nif5oz

Yelp
I LOVE this airport, which just gets better and better over time. The new check-in areas, spacious terminals, outdoor post-security patio, fair pricing local food concessions, and new open air baggage claim -- all a five star experience. This place will be near perfect once the car rentals move out of their sad but functional trailer and into the historic Art Deco terminal building under renovation now. Grateful for the SJC-LGB SWA nonstop, connecting two of the state's most efficient and pleasant airport operations!
google avatar

Melanie T.

Yelp
We prefer flying into Long Beach airport versus LAX because it's a lot calmer and people are generally nicer and not yelling at you for no reason. There's a nice outdoor area with the palm trees so you don't have to stay and wait inside with everyone. It has a small cafeteria if you're hungry. And it's not as crowded and much lower traffic capacity than LAX. This time when I flew in, I was shocked. They finally have a proper baggage claim area with actual screens to display there status of bags and there are two baggage claim stages. It's pretty nice. It used to be just out in the open so nice to see it look more legit.
google avatar

Samantha V.

Yelp
I absolutely adore this little airport!! I almost want to wish they had a few more flights but fear of it turning into a mini LAX and I so I shall sit back and be thankful. Have been able to fly to LGB from Buffalo NY (with a short stopover somewhere) direct to Maui, and direct to San Francisco. I am usually willing to pay a little more for a flight if it means avoiding LAX. There is a parking garage but we have always been happy to uber here because it's affordable. Check in is usually a breeze no matter what time of day, and there are some great places to grab a small bite or drink before take off during the day. There are usually minimal options for seats, but I have never had trouble finding a spot to sit down and the flights are sometimes not full either, leaving it to chance you'll get an entire row. Waiting for a luggage can take a little bit of time, but the brand new area for that and carousel are really nice. As long and I am a Long Beach Resident, I will try to find flights out of here!
google avatar

Armando L.

Yelp
If you have the option to depart or land at this airport, do it! You won't be disappointed. Way better than LAX! Long Beach airport is small and runs smoothly. Not that many options for food but they have the basics. I like that fact you go up the stairs outside to board the plane and when you get off as well. When Hawaiian airlines started their routes from and to Long Beach, it has been super convenient! For Baggage claim, there's only 2 carousels. Although this airport is small, they've been slowly renovating to become modern.
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
Yes! Yes! Yes! This airport has been on my top for a long time! Small little airport in the heart of Long Beach. So many memories landing here from my young days traveling with friends and family to Disney and concert trips. This past week we travelled from Long Beach to Albuquerque and were delayed 6 hours, If you ask me I was so happy! (We have all the time in the world when traveling) This means leaving the airport for a nice beach walk, shops and eating! For others this would be a huge disappointment! As soon as we found out about our delay we grabbed our stuff and left airport for a nice beach day! When we came back security line was a breeze (5 min max) got to our gate in less than 2 min and boarded plane in no more than 15min! Friendly airport every time!
google avatar

Jewelia C.

Yelp
Middle tier airport. Never had an issue but I prefer larger airports with more amenities especially with all the delays/cancellations lately. Don't really like airports that have an outdoor baggage claim.
google avatar

Natasha C.

Yelp
Easy to get in AND out. Convenient airport that has food in terminals and there's an amazing healthy vending machine by baggage. I like this airport better than SNA John Wayne & LAX for the OC area. Technically LGB is LA county but if you're flying in to vacation in Disney or LA this is a great option to avoid traffic getting out of the airport. Love how you can enter aircraft from front or back. You get to breathe the fresh West Coast Best Coast Air the minute you step out the aircraft. My fav airport is SJC but I hope this will grow to have a special place for me.
google avatar

Yelp
It's my turn to express my feelings for Long Beach Airport and the convenience and friendliness of the airport staff that it provides. We prefer to travel to Hawaii on Hawaiian airlines which departs out of Long Beach instead of going to hectic LAX and walking a mile before getting to the gate, at Long Beach it's just a hop and a skip away from the check in counter. The counter agents are wonderful and give you a sense of Aloha even before your trip begins. The TSA staff are TSA staff what more can I say about that. The restaurants and gift shop located in the facility after TSA check point are nice and clean. The waiting area seating is nice and clean as well. It really provides the traveler a sense of ease and enjoyment without any stress. The baggage area ( two carrousels ) are big and operational. Restrooms in the facility are bright and clean.
google avatar

Vanessa S.

Yelp
It was my first time at this airport for a work trip. The airport is small and has some grumpy employees at the gates. I'm not sure if that was just a Southwest thing but there were people working there that seemed to be unhappy. The good news is that the employees working at the coffee place that I stopped at was very helpful, nice and cheerful. Because of its size there's a lot of people standing around waiting at their gate and not enough seats for everyone. The airport is very small but has some nice seating areas both inside and outside. The baggage claim area was nice and clean. This airport is also the type where you walk outside and go up the stairs into your plane which was nice. It was different experience!
google avatar

Angel H.

Yelp
It's a lot smaller and a lot less congested than LAX. That's for sure. As with all smaller airports, everything is more centralized so you don't have to walk as far to board your flight. The car rental return is right across the street. You go into one building to check in your bags and get your boarding passes. You go into the next building to get through TSA and the boarding gate is right behind that. This airport is so small that they don't even have boarding tunnels. You just have to hike up the ramp from the ground to get to the door of the plane. However, I'd rather do that than to deal with all the people and traffic at LAX.
google avatar

Shane A.

Yelp
Newly renovated, clean, nice airport. Food prices are ridiculous a the airport restaurants so I'd highly suggest bringing food with you. Going through rental car and TSA was a breeze.
google avatar

Miny V.

Yelp
Love everything about this airport. Long Beach Airport is by far the easiest and most convenient way to fly from. From 1 terminal, you're pretty much in and out and on your way to your destination. Traffic conditions are really low compared to LAX! The good thing about this place, they have car rental literally across the way when you exit the terminal to catch a ride if you need one. Besides requesting an Uber/Lyft, usually less time waiting for one. They recently remodeled the parking structure. It holds many more vehicles or motorbikes. They even have overnight parking or monthly parking if needed. Don't forget to stop by the souvenirs shop inside the terminal when you're inside for departure or arrival. Quite a selection of stuff to choose from like clothing, shots, glass, post cards, etc... If you're lucky, you might even see a really close by sheriff, helicopter landing or taking off.

Yelp
I will fly out of this airport whenever I can!!! It is small, but mighty. I usually fly Southwest, so it's a no-brained to use LB airport instead of LAX. I'll even pay extra, if I have to, to avoid LAX. Long Beach Asha's great staff, a decent selection of food, good coffee, a couple of bars, and they are EFFICIENT. If you are flying in or out of Southern CA, use this airport. Seriously. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Technically John Wayne is closer to me so convenience wise majority the time I fly out of there..... however, whenever I need to (or can find a great deal) from Long Beach I take it because it is easy to drive to, parking is usually plentiful, and I simply love how they have an indoor/outdoor Airport. It's a vibe and when you get to visit it truly is a cutesy vibe.

Yelp
I fly out of here every time it is an option as it is one of the easiest airports HOWEVER.... It seems like the bag drop off and security check lines tend to back up quite often, fortunate to have TSA today, otherwise I would have missed my flight. Also, food options, service and quality are deplorable eat before you get here. Servers are rude and the food quality is poor at best. I wish they would have chain restaurants or some of the better local options.

Yelp
Long Beach Airport (Daugherty Field) is an airport that actually makes air travel something to enjoy. Efficient and compact, this airport hosts a small list of airlines with Southwest Airlines being the anchor airline. I highly recommend that you consider making this airport your departure city for the following reasons: * Quick TSA service * On time departures/arrivals * Almost hassle free check in * Quick baggage claim * "Old school" boarding on aircraft * Low cost parking structure that is within walking distance Yes, you might have to pay a bit more and may not have a great variety of direct flights, but you will have greater peace of mind when with regards to your travel plans. Don't forget the great views when you depart (Orange County) and arrive (Cal State Long Beach pyramid). Enjoy your flight!
