Stopped by here for the first time today with the family. I got the (vegan) pineapple whip and it was indeed delicious and hit the spot on this hot afternoon. My wife got the black ring coffee and I must say, that I think it was probably the most delicious coffee flavored ice cream I've ever had. Our kids got chocolate and both loved it. We'll definitely be back.

Just wanted to stop by and say the two guys working tonight have EXCEPTIONAL customer service skills! The way they explain each flavor and greet everybody that comes through the door with such welcoming energy is unmatched. Please give these guys a raise !

Love their fresh, unique and seasonal flavors. Staff is always wonderful. You can try multiple samples before deciding which flavor you want!

Google
I had high hopes for Long Beach Creamery, but sadly, it did not live up to the hype. The ice cream was underwhelming—lacking the rich, creamy texture and bold flavors you’d expect from a specialty shop. Some of the flavors tasted artificial, and the combinations felt more experimental than enjoyable. To make matters worse, the service was slow and indifferent, which added to the disappointment. The portions were small, especially considering the high prices, making the experience feel like a poor value overall. Unfortunately, this was not the treat I was hoping for, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a great ice cream experience.

Google
Holy cow, so many amazing flavors. It is always difficult making a decision. They can make you cones or Sundays there, they have pints if you need more of this, and you know you do. Take it home, hide it in the back of the refrigerator because your family will straight up steal your ice cream.

Ivy K Davidson

Google
Best ice cream in town because of all the local ingredients and collabs, unique and fun flavors, try before you buy samples, and plenty of seating to relax and it enjoy it there!

Right Way to Eat

Google
This place has some of the most unique ice cream flavors. Made in the place everyday. Test out the samplers or flight to get a bit of everything. Highly recommended their seasonal flavor that is only available for limited time. My favorite ice cream to get is their homemade blood orange. You can get some of the flavors in a container if you wish.

Google
Everything is delicious here and the service is excellent. Innovative flavors and they let you try them all! The lemon blue black ice cream was my favorite. They also have baked goods: get the ube butter cake… you will not be disappointed!!

Yelp
Just on service alone, this place gets an automatic 5 star. I was immediately greeted upon walking in and told right away that there is unlimited samples. Not only that, but I was given detailed descriptions for each of the ice creams I tried. Both workers at the front were like this for every party. The ice creams itself is SO GOOD! I had the Cabernet brownie and the Love Potion No. 9. Both were delicious. The Cabernet and brownie flavors mixed so well together. And the Love Potion No. 9 was equally as good! I will definitely be back to try the rest of the flavors! The shop is small but has a great outdoor seating section. The parking lot is on the smaller side but there is ample street parking right next to it.
google avatar

Clarissa T.

Yelp
I love this place! The parking lot sucks but it's worth it. If you can avoid the parking lot, street parking is better. The staff is super friendly and the flavors rotate regularly so there's always something new. If you sign up for their text message alerts you get a list of the new flavors every month.I find the flavors here to be pretty unique. I don't know anyone else that has a cashew fennel chip or saltine dream flavored ice cream. They also have three to four vegan flavors. I also love that there is no upcharge for a split scoop here. There are a few tables to eat at outside so you can sit and hangout for a bit.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 (this time!) Ambiance: 4/5 I have to be honest - the first time I came here, I never wanted to come back. Granted, it was during Covid, so we weren't allowed get samples, which is 90% of the standard ice cream shop experience, and we ended up getting a flavor we didn't like. We also had gotten unpleasant service from the woman working there at the time. BUT we had friends visiting out of town, and this is the most famous ice cream spot by far in Long Beach, so we thought to give this place a second chance. And we are so glad we did!! I wish we had gotten his name, but we received excellent, cheerful service from a staff member who encouraged us to try every single flavor - and he gave us big scoops! I was shocked that almost every flavor we tried was delicious - a rare experience. Saltine Dream was the universal favorite.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream! They always have new flavors or rotating flavors! Definitely give them all a try. They have pints, scoops, cups, cones. The servers are always helpful and cheery. Cozy ice cream parlor, check the website for new flavors!
google avatar

Brandy H.

Yelp
My go to ice cream shop. It is an expensive pint, but you won't find better quality or more interesting and delicious flavors. The staff is always wonderfully nice and patient with customers. The butter cake is amazing and saltine dream is their best always available flavor. It is a cute shop and you have to go to their Ice cream for breakfast day at some point. Now if only I can get them to make ice cream cakes...

Yelp
Gosh all the years I've passed this creamery and never stopped by really upsets me ! Was craving ice cream and thought I should try something new and they did not disappoint! Long Beach creamery located in a very very small plaza along 3 or 4 other businesses, with a parking lot right smack on lbc Blvd and like San Antonio , can't miss it creamery is the one at the very end. It seems they are daily making flavors , this is no ordinary creamery they have selections of flavors you won't find anywhere else ! I selected the midnight oolong and another flavor that I forgot the name of but resembled a mint n chip type of style . YUM I really enjoyed both of the flavor along with the other ones I sampled ! Most of all I really enjoyed the service here ! Everyone was so nice the fella helping me pick out the flavors was so nice and patient on explains the flavors and the different notes on them ! Definitely a top notch creamery ! I will be coming by more often to try more flavors :)
google avatar

Meredith R.

Yelp
Go here immediately if you love wonderful service and spectacular ice cream! Wow, nicest staff! We had the Cabernet dark chocolate ice cream. Incredible! The mint too (fresh mint).

Yelp
This had good reviews so I decided to give it a shot. I went with their Ice Cream Sundae. They let you try their ice cream beforehand which is good (and it doesn't seem like they limit you like some other places). I ended up going with their Cookie Dough and their Black Ring Coffee. I had to the option of doing a waffle bowl or waffle chips; I opted for the latter. I also got to choose a topping which included Oreos, Rainbow Sprinkles, or Almond Brittle; I got Almond Brittle. I don't think any choice would've been a bad one here. Everything was made well and prepared well. The servers were kind and gave positive energy so I felt welcomed. The parking lot is kind of narrow and may be difficult when more people are around, so larger vehicles may want need to be careful. The lot is free so that's a plus. Overall, great experience and definitely now only my list of ice cream parlors.

Yelp
This review is long overdue, but I stopped by here with a friend close to closing when I was visiting Long Beach. After looking at the flavors and talking to the friendly staff who said that the midnight oolong is actually just chocolate (disappointing to me since I like tea flavored ice cream), I opted to get a single scoop of ube ube (not a typo, it is indeed the word twice). I thought the ice cream was pretty good, and single is a decent size if you're just looking for a small dessert. Although their ube isn't as deep purple as some places, it still tastes like ube. I got the sense from the shop decor and the workers that it is hopefully a pretty LGBTQ friendly shop as well, which was nice.

Yelp
osei made my day! tysm for my yummy tasters and for my ice cream. love the mango and chocolate sorbet!

Yelp
UNLIMITED SAMPLES?! I'm in! As a first time customer who sticks to the basics like cookies & cream, I found myself overwhelmed by the flavors I had not seen at other ice cream shops. Thankfully, I was able to try them. The employee was super kind and inviting! He explained all he flavors in detail. I felt extremely welcomed. 5 stars for superb customer service on a Saturday night, 30 mins prior to closing! :)
google avatar

Nadya S.

Yelp
Very helpful and friendly staff! I really like the cutesy design on the wall, very demure! lol The ice cream we got was really good too, it's creamy but not too heavy, just right!
google avatar

Yumi T.

Yelp
This place is one of my favorite ice cream shops to visit! They have their usual staples but then they have seasonal flavors every month and there isn't a single flavor I don't like. The service is always really great, they explain what's in each flavor and how they flavored it. The store is also small and cozy, cute hand drawn chalkboard menu. Local favorite of both me and my boyfriends! We almost go there weekly
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
Long Beach Creamery I's fun and delicious to have ice cream,. We stopped here a few times in the summer, and most likely. I also order numerous flavors that I like Little expensive here, but good ice cream. People are nice here, and I will be back for more.
google avatar

Yelp
Yo, I can't believe I never tried this place before my OC friends recommended it to me. I can literally rollerblade to this place in about 10 minutes! Long Beach Creamery is legit! My favourites thus far are the pineapple swirl sorbet, lemon bar, coconut sweet lime, strawberry shortbread, lemon blue black, lemon lavender, and cocoberry, but angels & dragons is also solid! The midnight oolong tastes like rich chocolate that is not too sweet and perfectly balanced. My buddy always gets his black ring coffee and says it tastes like his morning coffee! There are rotating and seasonal flavours, so there are plenty of reasons to visit frequently! One of my homegirls ordered a soda once, and we all enjoyed it. It was solid! I have friends who really enjoy the butter cakes, but those things are crazy rich and way too much for me to handle. Give them a try if that's your thing! Seriously, everything tastes fresh here, and it has become our go-to post-climbing dessert. I'm fortunate to live so close to this deliciousness, and I am always happy to bring friends, family, and acquaintances to enjoy it!
google avatar

Chad K.

Yelp
This location is always a bit more chill and slightly more friendly than the DTLB location. We love both though! They are known for their signature flavors like Black Ring Coffee, Cashew Fennel, and Thai Tea. They have some seasonal and rotating flavors that are always awesome like s'mores and today I had something called Snack Foods which had caramel and candied pretzels and Cheetos in it! Don't knock it until you try it. It was actually very, very good. I am always impressed with the quality of the ice cream and professionalism of the staff any time we are here. The prices aren't super cheap, but you get what you pay for. We'd rather pay more for better ice cream made in-house than less for mass produced stuff and other ice cream stands. A true LB staple!
google avatar

Thuy L.

Yelp
Staffs are very friendly and opened to giving us samples. The store itself is not big but it serves its role well. I visted twice; each time was on a Sunday evening and the store was not busy. On both visits, parking was easily located but if it was during the day, it would have been harder because the parking lot itself does not have plenty of spaces. My favorite flavors are Whiskey Vanilla and Burnt Caramel. The vanilla flavor tastes different than other places. Highly recommend! The store offers self-served iced water too!
google avatar

Amy L.

Yelp
Stopped by Long Beach Creamery with some friends after dinner and it did not disappoint! If you're looking for a solid spot for that sweet treat (which you deserve) definitely come here! I really love the creativity behind all of the flavors and it's nice supporting a local business that also supports other local businesses :) I was fortunate enough to sample so many different flavors and really liked how the server explained each flavor so thoroughly. They make everything in house themselves so they are all knowledgeable in case there are any allergies you may have. I ended up getting a split scoop of their Lemon Blue Black and Cashew Fennel Chip! It was so difficult for me to make a decision because you really can't go wrong with any flavors! The Saltine Dream is also delicious and I can understand why that's their best selling flavor! There is something for everyone and the vibes are great :)
google avatar

Jordynn B.

Yelp
I got the mint chip ice cream and also the mint and cookies and cream ice cream. I never had those two mix and it is such a incredible combination. There was a lot of people here here, but it was a Friday night so I guess that makes sense. It's a small little shop and they have outdoor seating. The employees were very sweet and helpful. And also the other the customers were very nice as well.
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of those IYKYK places. Great local spot for gourmet ice cream. If you like Salt & Straw, you'll like LBC. Their waffle bowls are fresh and crispy, their toppings are always good and the specialty flavors change from time to time. Definitely a place that stays in rotation for my family. Oh, and the service is always great. Really nice people.
google avatar

Natalie N.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The customer service is delightful from start to finish. Providing samples to explaining their in house ingredients, it was an inviting and knowledgeable experience. So many unique and good flavors also sourced locally, while all of the pairing suggestions were great. I decided on the honey chip and the banana bread chai. Absolutely delicious.

Yelp
Back again and OH MY WORD THIS ISH IS SOOOOOOOOO GOOD! I sampled a few flavors before settling on a Split of Pineapple and Lime Sorbet. The fennel, saltine, corn, & oolong ice creams and the chocolate sorbet made me shout in the middle of the shop, "OMG this ish is GOOD!" Lauren helped me out, she was super nice and informative about their rotating flavors and how they're all homemade. This was an awesome experience. Like, honestly, this is the best ice cream I've ever tasted in my entire life! Seriously. It's off the corner of Carson and Lb blvd at the end of the small strip mall on the west side of the street. There's a small parking lot, as well as street parking off Lb blvd and Claiborne. Prices are reasonable, serving sizes make sense! There's no mix ins (you don't need them anyway), but they do have some toppings (fudge, sprinkles, candies bacon, saltines, nuts, chocolate cookie crumbles). They sell some pints to go, they also have ready to bake items, chocolate chip cookies and a small selection of refrigerated drinks. Nice little tables out front and along the side to enjoy some fresh air while you live your best life eating this ice cream. 10 stars LB CREAMERY! Y'all DID that!!!!
google avatar

Leina S.

Yelp
I've been a regular here and have always loved their Saltine Dream flavor. However, my recent visit left me disappointed. I purchased a scoop and also got a pint, but unfortunately, both tasted off. The flavor just isn't the same as I remember. It's disheartening because I used to look forward to this treat, and now it feels like something has changed. The weirdest part is that the scoop and the pint also tasted differently from each other. The date at the bottom of the pint showed it was made a couple days prior, but does the taste really change that much? Also, the ice cream is super soft from the pint even after overnight freezing and I'd like my ice cream to be hard! I hope this could be addressed, as consistency is key for loyal customers. I'd love to see the quality return to what it used to be.
google avatar

Yelp
When you confidently offer unlimited samples, you know it's probably gonna be good. It's a sign that they knew that after you tried their homemade ice cream, you'd want more. And we did. We stopped in because we were in the area and just needed a pick-me-up. The lady behind the counter was extremely kind and patient in explaining what goes into each flavor we asked about, and she was more than willing to give us samples of each. We settled on the saltine cream and the cookies n' nibs - and it was some of the best ice cream I've had in recent memory. Creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor. I don't know how to praise ice cream effusively, but I'd give this place the highest respect an ice cream shop could get. Long Beach Creamery deserves it.
google avatar

Christy D.

Yelp
Service 10/10 They all made us feel welcome, answered all our questions and explained the flavors with such detail and enthusiasm. The ice cream speaks for itself so delicious we've tried so many over the years and it's always spot on with the flavors. A few Favorites Lemon Bar is #1, but tried the cookie dough last night and it's a close tie. It's their homemade vanilla with chocolate chip cookie dough bites and brown butter caramel swirl so good. Also a fav The saltine dream (Aka Long Beach crack)
google avatar

Raúl R.

Yelp
This place has some delicious ice cream. I am a vanilla lover and that all I really want. But they do have different flavors. I had whisky vanilla and burnt caramel. Service was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. The place is a bit small but they do have outdoor seating so you can enjoy your yummy treat.
google avatar

Amy J.

Yelp
Came across this place while looking for some dessert after dinner, and was pleasantly surprised. Service was beyond amazing, everyone behind the counter was very helpful and friendly. Interior space was large with plenty of seating. My favorite flavor was the vegan dark chocolate, which was recommended to me by the staff. They informed me that it only had three ingredients. Despite that flavor not having any cream or milk, it was some of the creamiest ice cream I've ever had. Will definitely be returning!
google avatar

Tamara T.

Yelp
I'm a Salt & Straw Stan, but my cousin casually mentioned she went here with a friend and it was so good. We were at dinner and she wanted to get ice cream locally at a Foster's Freeze and I said no, we're making the drive to Long Beach Creamery cause you can't just tell me about this place and we go to wack a$$ Foster's Freeze instead. They're located in the Bixby Knoll's area and its in a super cute corner location with a small parking lot. I pulled up to the parking spot out front and heard the front lip of my car scrape so first tip is to back into the parking spot if you drive a low car. The shop itself is small, and like Salt & Straw, they have grab and go pints in the freezer and they allow you to sample their flavors. They have THE BEST coffee ice cream flavor! Black Ring Coffee beats all other coffee flavors I've tried elsewhere and their cashew and fennel flavor is also to die for. I went on their Instagram page and saw that they make ice cream bread from any unused ice cream which I would love to try next. Definitely better than Salt & Straw!
google avatar

Kim T.

Yelp
What a cute creamery filled with such helpful folks! It was my first time visiting and the customer service was nothing less than stellar! I got to sample almost everything lol (that didn't have peanuts in it) and everything was divine. The burnt caramel was my fav - ultra creamy and buttery with a strong aroma of burnt sugar/caramel and touch of saltiness. Ugh, so good. I also really enjoyed the smoothness of their sorbets - the boysenberry pineapple was also a delight! I will definitely stop by again the next time I'm in LB!
google avatar

Brenda L.

Yelp
The good: I tried the burnt caramel, fennel chip (vegan), honeycomb and midnight oolong chocolate ice cream flavors as well as their waffle comb! Wow! I was impressed. The flavors are sophisticated and definitely caters to an adult palette. They weren't too sweet. I loved the slightly bitter flavors in the honeycomb ice cream. I loved the dense texture and creaminess of the ice cream. It felt like high quality ice cream packed with a lot of flavor without being too much. The cone tasted homemade and had a slightly chewy texture to it that was reminiscent of a stroop waffle. The interior was spacious. The workers were really friendly. My husband wanted more ice cream after we finished ours. We agreed that we'd like to come back and try more flavors. The vegan ice cream didn't taste vegan. It was super creamy and the chunks of seeds inside added a nice crunch. The bad: There's only one sit down table inside that seats 2 but they do have 3 communal standing tables. The interesting: They make their ice cream in-house.

Yelp
I dont have an option to give this place a million stars but if I could, I would. This ice cream store has a wonderful selection of unique flavors, some in monthly rotation, others such as black ring coffee, are in collaboration with other local shops in the Long Beach area. The service here was very lovely, the two women my friend and I encountered were really nice and friendly, they offered us flavors of anything we wanted to try. But because this wasn't my first time visiting, I went straight for a split scoop of my go flavors to which was whisky vanilla and midnight oolong. midnight oolong tastes like chocolate with a hint of oolong tea - its surprisingly very delicious and addicting. I have been craving this since late July. I need to go here more often. This location is a little smaller than their downtown Long Beach location but they have lots of outdoor seating and there were couples and families and friends outside enjoying their ice cream. all in all, if you want good authentic, fresh, ice cream, this is where you need to go. As I am writing this, I want more ice cream
google avatar

Vanessa T.

Yelp
Had some tasty fun flavors while I was here. Their location is a bit sketch since I was alone but they were so nice and made me feel safe once I went entered.
google avatar

S Z.

Yelp
Vegan sorbets are decent. The real winner here is the ice cream. I bought a pint for my mom since she eats dairy and I don't. She loved it. It was a rotating flavor and had cookies and chocolate with a vanilla base. I hope one day they offer more creamy based vegan ice cream flavors.
google avatar

Maggie Q.

Yelp
This is my favorite of the 3 Long Beach Creameries (one closed though?). They carry the full selection, have an immediate parking lot, and the staff are always nice. They used to have seating inside, which is why I went on a rainy day, but unfortunately it's only outdoor seating now. Of course, the prices have increased over the years but it always feels like such a treat. The staff are always kind and patient with all the samples. Something for everyone whether you like the chocolates/vanillas or fruity/floral. They offer a variety of vegan ice cream as well. As a chocolate gurl my go-to is a split scoop ($5.50) with midnight oolong and burnt caramel. LB crack is the best when it's in season! Experiment with all the textures through unlimited toppings with Yelp check in! On this rainy day the associate said it's unlimited toppings for everyone and gave me the most waffle chips I've had there. They said unlimited toppings could be a whole cookie or brownie, too!
google avatar

Hazel Anne E.

Yelp
What's not too love about their cream... especially when their flavors are always spot on. I don't go to many ice cream shops, but this is one that I visit very frequently. I always get a scoop of Saltine Dream and then another scoop of one of their rotating flavors. All have been suuuper yummy. Whenever I visit, the workers happily greet you, and they're always so patient with customers, esp while taste testing. This shop also sells pints of their current ice cream flavors, some frozen goodies that you can warm up at home, and for the vegan folks, they do have a small selection of vegan ice cream. The shop is on the smaller side and is always well-lit, but because their floors are white, you can definitely see the foot traffic. I guess that's a good thing though? Parking can be a little difficult since it's located in a very small plaza along with other businesses, but there's also street parking. As long as you don't go on National Ice Cream Day or on a hot afternoon, where ice cream is on most people's mind, you should be able to find parking just fine.
google avatar

Cristina R.

Yelp
Although, I don't frequent Long Beach Creamery too often I always enjoy my experience. Yesterday, I stopped by thanks to their inviting texting campaign for National Ice Cream Day! They had me at "2 for 1 scoops" When we arrived the line was almost out the door. We were greeted warmly. They have a new monthly flavor, Passionfruit honey, it's delicious! They let you sample flavors before you order. There's a life's tables and picnic style benches/tables as well to the side. We sat outside and enjoyed the breeze as we ate our ice cream! If you have never been definitively recommend stopping by! Everyone is also very kind and make great recommendations.
google avatar

Menghai T.

Yelp
Very tasty ice cream. I got a split scoop of caramel and coffee and they meshed well together. It's a nice little shop , staff was very friendly. It was ~$6. A good place to come for dessert!
google avatar

Brandon L.

Yelp
long beach creamery. the gold standard in ice cream. been coming here for about 8 years now and everything I love about this place hasn't changed a bit. from the smell of fresh waffle cone's hitting you as you open the doors to the warm welcomes from the staff & unique seasonal flavors waiting to be sampled, it's all wonderful. my favorite thing the creamery does is they collaborate with other local businesses to make interesting flavors like my favorite (blueberry donut) love the sense of community I get every time I visit. no seating inside but there a few park benches outside to enjoy your ice cream, plenty of street parking and they have their own lot.
google avatar

Raul N.

Yelp
This was our first time here and let me tell you that their ice cream is delicious! All of their ice cream is made their at there place. The flavors are yummy and perfectly made. Customer service is beyond nice! They will gladly give you samples without haste.
google avatar

Erika J.

Yelp
Be still my heart! I was temporarily silenced when I took my first bite! The flavors walk circles around the competition. Absolute win.
google avatar

Norma S.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday around 12:50pm. No line we got to taste test all the flavors we wanted and the service was good. They had vegan options. Plenty of seating outside. We got the Pineapple Whip Sorbet and Chocolate Malt Crunch both were really good. For two scoops it was almost 9$ so on the pricier end but for taste it is worth it.
google avatar

Winnie C.

Yelp
First timer! Randomly Googled for desserts nearby and I was pleasantly surprised by their ice cream! I initially had doubts about the saltine dream just from the name, but it tastes similar to hot chocolate. Workers were very friendly and gave the description of the flavors you were interested in. It kind of gives old school ice cream shop vibes, very small and cute shop. They also have a butter cake that I didn't get to try this time, so definitely coming back to try it the next time around!
google avatar

Maley L.

Yelp
Creamy, creamy, creamy! One of the best creameries I have every tried! I am a sucker for ice cream and this place has perfected the formula. (More than perfect) The burnt caramel is out of this world! Really, it is amazing! I couldn't not have enough! You will find hand made waffle cones, toppings, pints and eco friendly ice cream cups! Staff is friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. Treat yourself to some calories, you won't regret it!
google avatar

Rosy M.

Yelp
Everything was amazing and delicious! Definitely recommend! Ice cream was delicious! Had the vegan chocolate and I will have again and try all the other flavors too!
google avatar

Jenina M.

Yelp
We LOVE Long Beach Creamery! Their customer service is always spot on AND their various flavors are always unique and fun. We will travel miles and miles to get our LBC fix!
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
This is absolutely the best ice cream I've ever tasted! All made in house and it's just too bad I live so far away. Customer service is and I will be back.

Cassidy M.

Yelp
Wow the best ice cream in all of Los Angeles county. 10x better than everything. Yes it's the best of the best.
google avatar

Mareo R.

Yelp
Very good ice cream and I love it, the employees are very social. Has a lot of drawings around the walls showing what kind of ice cream it is. 10 out of 10.
