Ordered here from Grubhub because they use stock images and try to hide the fact that they make zero effort, low quality trash. They claim to serve Mala chicken, but it’s just chicken with vegetables made a bit spicy. Total frauds not serving authentic cuisine; they just stir fry up whatever crap they have on hand.

Real good flavor and great spicy food!

It's been awhile since I've been to a Chinese takeout, and I hadn't been to one in Tallahassee until I came here. When I walked in, the place is small like your usual takeout place, but it was pretty clean. I ordered the beef and broccoli combination and an order of sweet bread, which is kind of like large donut holes in a way. I was pleasantly surprised with the freshness and crispness of the food, and it was still hot when I got home to eat. The sweet bread was really good though, very fresh! They gave me a good bit of food for the price, which was nice. I will say that the fried rice seemed a bit lacking in flavor, and the beef and broccoli wasn't great, but it was good. However, none of it was bad, so there's a plus. If I'm in the mood for Chinese takeout again, I might give it another go!

Google
Best Chinese food spot in town. I sometimes order here twice a week. Same amount of food in the lunch Peckham as in the dinner combo and the dinner combo general tsps chicken with the can of Dr Pepper is $15 even. Always worth it

Google
My roommate and I both had the same opinion… this was one of the most bland general Tso’s meals I’ve ever had. The people seemed nice, and I’ve only been once so it could have been that batch, but it was about as flavorless as any I’ve ever had. Now, the bright side is that it didn’t taste bad! And they gave a pretty good portion, but it definitely didn’t light my world on fire.

Google
First time ordering here. Service was great, food was great. I can have 3 meals with the portions! Thank you!

CPL KRATOS

Google
Ordered the Singapore noodle meal and after opening the tray of food and mixing around, realized my dinner was spoiled. This is definitely old food from a previous order sold to me. Disgusting !

Google
Great lunch and dinner choices from $6.50-$8.50 entire combo. Drink extra, they carry coke and Pepsi. Must try the veggies, beef and chicken. I love the egg rolls too.

Yelp
I love the food here! my favorite dish is the beef w/broccoli and white rice! Service is great and doesn't take long at all! Ambiance wise the establishment is take out only which is perfect

Omar G.

Yelp
Great food, super fast preparation, friendly staff. You're not supposed to dine in but they let me do it sometimes. My only complaint is that they don't serve diet soda. They've got bottles and cans but nothing diet. I don't like to drink my calories, even if I'm going to be hungry again 20 minutes later /s

Yelp
I have been eating here for awhile and the prices went up like crazy. The krab rangoon and sesame chicken wasn't that good for $30. The krab Rangoon had no krab, it was strictly cream cheese. The lo mein noodles had no vegetables in it like it used to and it was cooked too long. The sesame chicken was also cooked too long. Great Wall and blossom kitchen is definitely worth the price

S H.

Yelp
Food was great. Hot and fresh. The egg rolls were great. And crunchy. The beef and broccoli with plain fried rice hit the spot

Yelp
First the good.... The appetizer of mushrooms was incredible. The mushrooms are shredded and sautéed and sort of browned in a soy sauce reduction that is savory and great. I'd love this on steamed rice for my dinner. The shrimp and broccoli was off. It had a smell that had me concerned the shrimp were not fresh. It tasted so-so, and I didn't get sick. The egg foo young was ok, but the sauce was off. The egg rolls are good - maybe not great but decent. It's worth a look. It's on par, or maybe slightly below, normal Chinese takeout, but I hope to find better in the area.

Yelp
Long Garden is my all-time favorite Chinese Takeout, I have a system when trying new places I always get lo mien/chow mien whichever available, as i base if i go there again on how good their noodles are! Their lo mien is to die for my favorite meals to order are the chicken and broccoli and bourbon chicken both come with egg rolls! My boyfriend who is a picky eater loves their bourbon chicken and beef and broccoli. I usually don't like fortune cookies either there tasteless to me but whatever kind of cookies they get are so nice there not too sweet but just enough! I hope this business stays open forever I would hate to lose them. Regarding Customer service I've never had any issues with the employees in fact my food is always hot and ready and if there were any mistakes, they would remake my food immediately and quickly!

Jack L.

Yelp
Really good food. The lo mein is excellent and the service is super nice. Just a family owned small business trying to do well. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
We are regular customers. I love their honey chicken and sesame chicken, and my husband loves the lo mein. Also they have good service-One time we received food we were not happy with (just personal preference) and they made us a new dish for free.

Yelp
I ordered the beef and broccoli with regular fried rice and the steamed dumplings. Overall, I would give the order 3.5 (rounding up to 4). I don't recommend the beef broccoli, the sauce it's made in was too salty and the beef was flimsy and chewy which made it unappealing. I enjoyed the steamed dumplings and the fried rice was probably my favorite part of the meal. The order came with an egg roll that I also really liked! SN: There was a sweet sauce that came with the order. I didn't use it much but there was a film that developed on top which was not great to see.

Yelp
Best Chinese food in Tallahassee for the price. I literally order food once a week from here and I'm sad to graduate because I'm leaving behind my favorite restaurant. Long garden is a small family business and they know how to cook. My boyfriend has tr almost every meal with meat and I have tried every meal with tofu. Absolutely no complaints.

Yelp
The best Chinese takeout restaurant in Tallahassee! Their bourbon chicken is *muah* chef's kiss ‍

Yelp
If I could only get my Chinese food here I would. They're the only ones that use white meat chicken in sesame chicken and it just tastes so good. They're always fast and prices are good as the portions are enough to have leftovers for days. I've been eating here for years and will continue. The family is super kind too!

Stears I.

Yelp
I've eaten here a few times & have ordered the same thing- hunan chicken. Oh my gah, it's so good. You can also step up the spice level if you request it. This is what you would think of as a typical Chinese takeout experience, but I should add, that this is my FAVORITE Chinese takeout place in Tallahassee. If I'm not having it delivered, I call prior to arriving so that I don't have to wait, and they usually have it done by the time I get there (6 min). It's always fresh, tasty, and exactly what you would want & expect from a Chinese restaurant. The lunch special is a deal & also about $2 cheaper than the dinner combo for the exact same serving. I believe lunch specials are served from 11am-2pm. It includes an egg roll- can & bottled beverages are available for about a buck & a half.

Yelp
I hate to give any restaurant a one star but seriously this was probably the worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life. It even smelled dirty and old. There was a ton of it and it was hot but it was not good. My stomach hurt after and I will probably never eat Chinese food in Tallahassee again because of the experience. I ended up just throwing it all away. A complete waste of money.

Yelp
I've been ordering from Long Garden since I was a freshman in college. I have tried all of my favorite Chinese dishes, and they've done a great job every time. Long garden serves your American style Chinese cuisine. From sweet and sour chicken to beef with broccoli and fried rice to lo mien, you want it, they've got it. I always call in my to-go orders, although you can also order online or eat in. The food is always ready pretty quick and I have never had to wait once getting there. The portions are huge and cheap! I usually order one of the combination platters, which comes with the entree, an egg roll, and fried rice. This is enough for two people or to have left overs for your next meal. I have never once even come close to finishing my meal. The steam dumplings are amazinggg! I can rarely resist an order. It comes with 8 large delicious dumplings. The egg drop with wonton soup is also one of my go-to's. Sometimes I'll just order a large as my dinner. The egg drop provides a thick broth base to the tasty wontons. Long Garden will continue to be my trusted spot for great Chinese pick up.

Yelp
Pretty standard Chinese takeout. Always happy with anything I get from here. The Lady that's always working is super pleasant.
google avatar

Timothy M.

Yelp
Long Garden is a typical Chinese takeout restaurant, but they do it well. I often order delivery and they arrive quickly and the driver is always friendly. Their food is always tasty as well as fair in pricing and portion. This is my go-to Chinese takeout place in Tally.
google avatar

Vanessa S.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I ordered take out here via. Bite Squad. We ordered a vegetable lo mein, and fried rice-- My lo mein was amazing. Flavorful, and didn't taste too greasy but the ratio of noodles to items (veggies, protein, etc.) was uneven, more noodles than items for sure; minor complaint. The main reason for the two stars is my boyfriend chicken fried rice. It doesn't even look or taste like regular chicken fried rice. It's super yellow, no flavor/bland, and the chicken was UNDERCOOKED (slimy and raw!!!) overall, do not order the chicken fried rice.
google avatar

Mary Kate B.

Yelp
Love long garden! Always good food and nice staff. Short wait time never fails. I eat here for dinner multiple times in the week.
google avatar

Shannon R.

Yelp
Only okay. The wings at this place were good, but the rice was overly salty and kind of wet when we went to eat it. The sesame chicken was one of my least favorite in Tallahassee, but the boyfriend liked his happy family well enough. There was a lot of good and bad that balanced out for a 3 star total. Probably wouldn't go back with all the options in Tallahassee
google avatar

Yelp
This is the second order from them. First one wasn't bad. I got the bean curd. Asked for it extra spicy and rather than spicing it up, they seemed to have left any "hot" out and left it to me to add the heat via a little container of pepper oil. Tonight I ordered the SZECHUAN MALA TRIO. for $13, the portion was pretty unimpressive. But that isn't my big gripe. EVERY bite I took there was grit from veggies that were not properly washed and prepared. Nothing shuts me down quicker than when you get that "crunch" from dirt between your teeth. It is not pleasant.
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Chinese food places in Tallahassee. They are very quick and take only about 10 minutes to get your order ready for you. I have heard delivery takes a little longer than normal, but I only have done pick up because it's so close to where I live. My favorite thing to order is the honey chicken. It is so good, it's very saucy and not overly fried. There is a lot of meat and not a ton of breading which is the best. I get the noodles and an egg roll on the side which are also very good tasting. All together the full meal is only like $10 which you cannot beat for the amount of food you get. So if you're looking for a cheap good Chinese meal then I recommend you try long garden.
google avatar

Thais B.

Yelp
Best sweet and sour chicken in the world. Got the big plate and had much to spare. The yellow rice was also incredibly delicious. I was very impressed with the high quality of the food and the fast delivery. I was completely satisfied. I recommend this restaurant to all Asian food lovers out there. Thank you for the great service !

Yelp
I am very, very upset with this restaurant. Spring rolls are supposed to be vegetables only. At least at every other Chinese restaurant on the planet it is. It's a good thing that I didn't give one to my husband. He wouldn't be breathing. We'd be at the hospital, with him being in anaphylactic shock. Shrimp galore. I called and asked why this was not on the menu, stating that this can kill someone, and the per the person who answered the call, promptly put me on hold to take an order. I hung up. She called back and said the owner has been in business for 20 years, and it's always had chicken and shrimp in them. It does not say that on the menu. Please for the love of God, put on the menu that you put shrimp in there. BEFORE you kill someone.

Kelden C.

Yelp
The reason I am posting a review is because my food from here was a complete failure. I ordered chicken fried rice and beef fried rice and what I received was actually uncooked food. So if you want uncooked food. By all means please try this place.
google avatar

Vanessa S.

Yelp
I always get General Tso's Tofu from here, it's great. They're very consistent and generous with the food.

Yelp
I'm going to surmise that this place is hit or miss. For us it was definitely a HIT!! We ordered sesame chicken combo platters, an orange chicken combo platter, shrimp pad thai, beef and broccoli, egg drop soup, cheese wontons, and a honey chicken combo platter. They threw in those sugar biscuits for free! Portion size: Very generous...combo platter can feed two people. Customer service: The lady was very patient with me in placing my order over the phone. She politely answered all my questions about the menu. Delivery took a little over an hour but the food was worth the wait. Everything was hot upon arrival and was still warm by the time we had finished eating. Value: We fed 7 people for less than a $100. Could have fed for less had we realized the portions were so big! The combo platters come with fried rice and an egg roll. This was the best Chinese we've had in 3 years (we've been in Hawaii); even the fried rice was good! Everything was fresh and flavorful. If we're ever in Tallahassee again we will definitely be back. I could go on about the food, but it's time for me to go heat up my leftovers from last night ;)

Kiana D.

Yelp
I ordered General tso chicken with fried rice and an egg roll. The egg roll was less than appetizing and hopefully I can replace it with something else in the future. The chicken was spicy and tasted really good and was the best thing in my order. Also, don't go by the prices on yelp or on their online menu because they differ. On yelp, my meal was 8 dollars but went I went in to pay, it was 9.25.

Julie W.

Yelp
The honey chicken was pretty good, but everything else was lackluster at best and gross at worst. The egg roll tasted like cleaning solution, the beef was undercooked, and the fried rice had no flavor.
google avatar

Yelp
This IS THE BEST CHINESE FOOD RESTAURANT IN TALLAHASSEE,FL!!!!!! don't go anywhere else. Im a college student in FSU and well believe me when I say this is the place to go for Chinese food. The lady is super nice and they make the food quickly. Now is not fancy tancy like a restaurant its more of a cafeteria but honestly there are no fancy tancy Chinese restaurants. Im from Miami where Chinese buffets are a dime of dozen and there amazing the ones here are NOT!! just order from here!! its clean, food is rotating not just leftover and no creepers and NO bugs thank god!

Jacob R.

Yelp
For a Chinese takeout I personally felt ripped off. The only decent menu items were overpriced yet the food doesn't look like it's presented in pictures. The Food itself tastes subdecent, and I have no idea whether they use MSG but you can def taste a weird flavor. The chicken you'd expect to be cooked properly but it seems like it's reheated chicken nuggets literally from McDonalds overly sauced with whatever sauce you chose. The rice tastes like bland cafeteria food yellow rice, they say they give you the same portion of meat but really 60% is rice. One thing I disliked was the takeout box which would fall apart just getting into the car, it's very cheaply made and really disappointing if people are delivering/taking out. There are very few good Asian places to eat in Tally, I suggest the Chinese buffets if you are willing to spend the same range but not get ripped off, maybe if they lowered prices or brought up better food quality then I'd return otherwise, can go to Panda Express
google avatar

Sara F.

Yelp
They've always been my go to delivery Chinese restaurant. Great service, fast delivery, and fresh food. Even with just pickup, they've had a smile on their face and my food ready when I arrive.
google avatar

Zoe P.

Yelp
Food arrived faster than accepted, great service, and generous portions! No complaints here!
google avatar

Zury G.

Yelp
The worst food I have tasted. The Orange chicken was horrible and the rice hardly had any flavor.
google avatar

Katie L.

Yelp
This was honestly the worst chinese food I've ever had. Looking at the chicken in the chicken fried rice turned my stomach, it was white and slimy. I could just be extra miffed that this was my cheat meal and it disappointed, but I've ordered from lots of places in Tallahassee and this has been my least favorite thus far.
google avatar

Jonathan H.

Yelp
Long garden is my favorite Chinese place to eat during lunch. For $5.55 you can get 2 meats and fried rice or Lo Mein noodles. The helpings are huge, and the staff is very courteous, along with offering very generous portions. The black pepper chicken, Lo Mein noodles and General Tso's chicken are my go tos!
google avatar

Diego G.

Yelp
I don't know if there's a big difference in food quality between getting it delivered or for pick-up, but needless to say I was still extremely disappointed. This was the first legitimately bad Chinese restaurant I've ever gotten food from. Me and my roomate ordered two orders of orange chicken and fried white rice. Simple request right? What we got was some something that cannot fit into description of what chicken is supposed to feel and taste like, yellow rice with vegetables, and on top of that, they didn't even provide us with utensils. Being new to college, I guess it's good to have experiences like these in order to really know which restaurants are worth going to and which ones are not.
google avatar

Ken B.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I've decided never to eat here again because I got sick after eating a plate of General Tso's. I will admit it was pretty late in the evening when I put the order in but never the less it should not have affected the food quality. I have other cohorts who have also had a less than desirable experience after ordering here. It's sad b/c the owners are very friendly. May I suggest that they step up their quality for the safety of their customers.
google avatar

Avery D.

Yelp
Very typical "New York style" takeout, which means you will expectedly feel terrible all day from consuming so much monosodium glutamate in one sitting. The sweet and sour chicken is 'meh', the fried rice and egg rolls are again 'meh', but everyone knows the holy grail of these type restaurants are the "chinese donuts" or sweet breads as they call it. Now I can look over some of the discrepancies in their entrees considering none of these places are usually consistent anyways, but when it comes to the fried canned biscuits I have EVERY expectation. When I pay the extra for Chinese donuts I expect the experience to be nothing less than the gods showering me with their holy nectar itself. But when I received my donuts today, I was rightfully p'd off, I could tell the cooking oil was very old and burnt, the donuts were just not appetizing at all. I felt betrayed, bamboozled, what am I? Some kind of baboon? And with that I curse thee long garden, and shall never return. DoNOT/10

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE Chinese take out. If this was someone's first or only experience with this cuisine, one would think it is the worst food in the world. This was just AWFUL. I ordered dinner to be delivered from Doorstep Delivery. I haven't had any of my favorite take out since I moved to Tallahassee. This was the only place that delivered. I had some dumplings, a spring roll and Hunan Chicken. The spring roll came with no duck or cherry sauce. I let that go. Someone had microwaved the container with dumplings and there was some sauce with it in a plastic container. The sauce container melted, so the liquid leaked out into the bag, not leaving enough for the dumplings, which had a pungent, sour flavor. The biggest insult, however, was the Hunan Chicken. I paid $8 for a big container of rice. The Chicken was three small pieces. This wouldn't be that bad if it were not for the fact that there was not an abundance of fresh vegetables. There were two pea pods, two carrot strips and about three big hunks of green pepper. The dish had no flavor and was NOT spicy hot at all! In fact, the meal was lukewarm anyway. This was the most disappointing and nasty tasting Chinese meal I have ever encountered. Moreover, I will never call upon them to satiate a craving for Chinese food again! BLERGH!
google avatar

Sean T.

Yelp
Typical chinese take-out spot that's done right. Reasonable prices and they are quick. If you live close, and order for pick-up, your food will be ready in 15 minutes tops. I've always gotten fast and friendly service there. And compared to other chinese fast-food take out joints, this place has better taste.

Logan F.

Yelp
Ordered the Beef Lo Mein lunch combo, the Mala Chicken, and a shrimp roll. The shrimp and egg rolls were both nice and crispy. The Lo Mein was good but the fried rice was a little bland. The Mala Chicken could've been spicier.
google avatar

Alexis C.

Yelp
Decent food, but management is the WORST, messed up my delivery that took FOREVER to get here. Then said I was wrong. Mj order here all the time too, welp that's the last time
google avatar

Alex F.

Yelp
I'm a huge chinese food lover..so one of the let downs about Tallahassee to me personally would be the lack of a good chinese place. I resorted to getting the publix chinese until I saw this place open up.. I was hoping for a good meal (ordered the most basic sweet'n sour chicken).. Lets just say my stomach did not enjoy the meal whatsoever. I'll stick to the limited publix selection..at least it is quality chicken. 2/5 stars for service...the lady was very nice

Kim S.

Yelp
The food is good but their price varies. I order the same thing every time & have been charged between $13-17 for the SAME thing. The lady is rude & likes to act like you are bothering her. She does anything to charge you more like giving you an egg roll when you did order one. The food is good but not enough for them to play on people's intelligence & believe me it isn't a one time thing. I created an account just to write a review.

John Y.

Yelp
Got a large order from this place and everything was there and correctly made with free sweet bread. Food was really good even the next morning it kept its taste.

Yelp
Just moved back to Tally, and wanted to have some Chinese takeout. Did a search for somewhere close to home, and randomly picked Long Garden. We ordered plain lomein noodles, special fried rice, egg rolls, beef with broccoli, and general tso's chicken. We were not disappointed. Is it the best Chinese you will ever eat in your life, probably not. But, it was fast, fresh, portions were amazingly huge, and the price is great. Service was excellent, and leftovers were as good as the day of. Did I mention we got a free order of donuts? Yum. Will definitely be ordering again!

Andrew E M.

Yelp
Long Garden is my favorite Chinese in Tallahassee! My orders are always fresh, hot, and delicious! I ordered from the Yelp app, paid online, and it was waiting for me. I recommend the egg foo young.
