A friend and I were visiting from Dallas, Texas and decided to get a Tragus Piercing. We called several shops; however, there were not many that took walk ins. We called Long Island Ink Lil 5 and was told we could come in the same day. My friend and I arrived at the shop around 3:10p and completed all necessary paperwork. By 3:20p, we were told to have a seat while the artist setup. There were no other customers in the shop and it appeared as though we were the first customers. About 25 minutes later, we were still waiting. We asked the artist how much longer it would be because we have a flight to catch. The artist (a lady) said she's almost done; however, she did not appear to be in a hurry, despite us telling her we had a flight to catch. Five minutes later, we requested a refund as waiting any longer would cause us to miss our flights. With an attitude, the artist said she would have to charge $20 per person for a setup fee. Did I mention the piercing was already $80, where other shops were charging $50. We went ahead and paid but expressed our displeasure when she took her precious time setting up. Furthermore, there was no signage that says there's a $20 setup fee if you decide to not get the piercing. Overall, I would NOT recommend this business. They are overpriced and have poor customer service.
