I was here for an event at the Nassau Coliseum, which is literally right across the street. If you're considering this for the same purpose, you'll find it to be incredibly close and convenient.||I paid for a larger corner room, and as a Marriott Gold member, they upgraded me to a corner with a balcony, which faced the NC. Very nice of them to do, and the balcony was great for me. ||The lobby is big, and contains the onsite bar/restaurant. There are a lot of conferences here, so there are plenty of places to meet, gather, and hang out inside.||Now the rest of the story. ||The room itself was fine. It was big, and appeared clean. The bed was comfortable, and I slept fine. ||The door handle on the sliding door to the balcony was broken, and was missing a screw completely. Not a huge deal, but it was like that before I got there and looked like it had been broken a while. The biggest thing for me was the shower and bathroom sink had no hot water. Not "oh this water isn't quite warm enough," I'm talking zero hot or warm water whatsoever. ||I was only in town for one night and was just traveling home on day 2, so not having a shower wasn't completely the end of the world for me, but I don't know how much help I was going to get at 5am if that was a work day. I let them know on the way out and they said they'd tell maintenance, but didn't offer anything but "sorry."||I booked here despite the reviews below that talk about mechanical issues, specifically for the location, which did not disappoint. I didn't have a car, so I don't know how close anything is, but there were plenty of doordash options, so I ate well in the room.||My only advice is to check the hot water upon check in so you know if you'll have a problem before it's too late.
