The hotel staff from Glen to Adam was very helpful, accommodating and was able to assist when I had issues. They went above and beyond my expectations, especially Glen to make my stay here enjoyable. My stay was enjoyable, and I will be back again. They have been professional, courteous, and accommodating. They definitely deserve 5 stars. The room was also nice and clean, this is what a hotel experience should feel like.

I spent a weekend at the Long Island Marriott Hotel with my family as part of our family adventure trip, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Although the rooms are smaller compared to other Marriott properties, they are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, ensuring a restful stay. The service provided by the staff is good and attentive. However, one notable downside is that breakfast is not included, and the cost for the paid breakfast is quite high considering the quantity, taste, and variety offered. The location is a strong advantage: the area is safe, convenient, and offers a pleasant view, which adds extra value to the stay. In summary, it is a good choice for those seeking comfort and a strategic location, although there is room for improvement in terms of value for money.

I have been traveling for business to this area and have been staying at the Long Island Marriott frequently since the end of September. My experience has been great, and many of the staff have exceeded my expectations. Karishma (apologies if the spelling is incorrect) has been the front desk agent that warmly greets me by name and checks me in the majority of the time. I appreciate her professionalism and pleasant demeanor, as well as the upgrades she is able to provide, if available, due to my loyalty status. Karishma's customer service made an excellent first impression.||The rooms I resided in have always been clean. They are a bit dated, however, renovations are underway. If you stay in a junior suite, you will be able to enjoy the balcony depending on the time of year you visit.||I usually visit the Concierge Lounge and both the morning and evening attendants are always very attentive, personable, and professional. Breakfast for the lounge is provided from the buffet, which has a nice selection. The hors d'oeuvres and desserts served in the evening are a satisfying snack. ||The bar and restaurant staff have also been kind, attentive, and always greet me warmly. The drink prices are a bit steep, and charging an additional fee to take it to the room makes it even more expensive. Therefore, I don't visit the bar often. So far, I've purchased wings, French onion soup, and a chicken quesadilla from the restaurant. Once again, it was a bit pricey, but the food was good. There are stores and restaurants a short drive away if you desire less expensive options. ||Overall, my experience here has been wonderful. I intend to obtain the names of the other front desk agents and staff that have allowed it to be so in order to update my review. The only undesirable issue I've had is getting stuck in elevator 3. The first time I was stuck for about five minutes, so I avoided it on my next visit. However, I decided to try it again on a subsequent visit and got stuck in elevator 3 for 20 minutes. It appeared it was under maintenance the next time I came because it wasn't operational. That being said, apart from this hiccup, I have enjoyed each of my stays and recommend this hotel when you are in the area.||

We stayed there for 1 night and the alarm went off at 4 am twice! Ruined our sleep. The annoying part was the it was not even mentioned when we were checking out! The management should fix the issue instead of sending multiple messages over the microphone at 4 am! The message was: nothing is wrong with alarm, "resume normal activity"! How could normal activity (sleep) be resumed when you wake us up! The other cheap part of the service was not giving water to us during check in although we were "welcomed as honor members!" This is a cheap management for saving $2 per customer by not giving water to them! Seems like it has become a norm in most hotels in the U.S.! which is terrible, everything is about money, no customer satisfaction. Terrible valentine experience! Terrible management! Never coming back.

Google
This place is amazing! I work for an agency that takes care of mentally disabled people, and we were being displaced for the weekend, due to renovations on the group home, and they were able to accommodate us. They were so welcoming. Nicoleta and Glendon were beyond helpful and made us feel more than just a guest! The continental breakfast was great and helped us on saving money. The beds were super comfortable and the tv's had just the perfect selection to keep everyone entertained. If I could spend every weekend there I most definitely would.

Google
I have always stayed at this Marriott whenever I visit NY and I have never been disappointed. My last stay 2 weeks ago was no exception. The decorative Christmas display was outstanding. Gosia, who waited on me when I first arrived, was the perfect host. I highly recommend staying here.

Google
Please avoid staying at this hotel. Every guest should be treated fairly especially when checking in. Such a horrible experience when checking in. It was a very rude, condescending, in-welcoming experience. This hotel does’t represent Marriott’s brand. The hotel is extremely outdated and the rooms terrible. Considering how expensive it is, you would think it’s a better experience from the customer service to the rooms. They made it seem as if we are liars. I will never stay here again!

Google
Positive: The handicap accessible room was sizable and good for my father. Carpeting looked new in the hallways. Negative: There was mold in the bathroom with hairs scattered about from the previous guest. The wallpaper was patched. Felt very old in the room.

David H.

Yelp
This hotel was very outdated and not very modern. It was priced very high for the location considering we weren't in New York City itself. We ate at the bar and had several cocktails and the service was decent. We did have one issue where the hotel provided us a late meal and we sat in the bar area to eat it but then got in trouble from the bar in for eating outside food at the hotel . We had to explain ourselves before he calmed down. Not the best experience at this hotel

Crystal B.

Yelp
What a stark difference in stay this time around as opposed to my time here here 2018. The bed was horrible and the room less comfortable. Last time I was on the 11th floor and there was a VIP lounge. I believe this hotel is undergoing some extensive renovations which is why some of the rooms were less than ideal for a JW. I won't complain because the service is always excellent and the food is top tier. Can't wait to visit again once renovations are complete.

Yelp
Ok , so I just had a baby and I live in Long Island . I really wanted a nice night out and honestly i probably would have had one had I booked any where else ! So after booking I realize check in Was pretty late and being that I had a party to go to that would not work , I begged for an earlier check in and received a pretty cold no ! Ok fine I show up around 6 ready for a relaxing night and this is what I see ! Bugs covering the entire balcony that I spent 450 bucks on ( my husband wanted a view so I paid extra ) . Stepped in and closed the door just to have to kill a huge roach INSIDE the room ! And I mean big ! I went down stairs immediately bc roaches travel and there is no way I can sleep some where with roaches ! After declining an offer to another room they gave me a full refund ! Apparently they are always packed bc of their location so they have no need to update nor clean their rooms ! Good luck if you plan to stay here .

Donald J.

Yelp
The catering personnel were great , they were really friendly and made sure your beverage glass was always full. the roast pork had a nice flavor but was on the tough side as was the chicken medley.the grilled red snapper was pretty good and so was all the veggies

Sharon J.

Yelp
We went for my girlfriends retirement party. The venue was beautiful. I loved that the rooms are sound proof because there were several events happening at the same time and you couldn't hear their music. They needed a coat check because it was December. The food was ok the meats were dry. The inside was decorated beautifully with Christmas decorations and musis softly playing. The parking lot was dark not well lit at all a safety hazard because it looked like construction was going on making it difficult to navigate where you were walking.

Gus F.

Yelp
My family and I rented two hotel rooms at this Marriott for a wedding. We got there at midnight after a 6-hour drive to find a room that stunk to high heaven of BO and had SIX cockroaches both in the room and on the disgusting uncleaned balcony. We turned around immediately and asked for a full refund. The hotel staff were not surprised at the state of the room and said sure but never actually issued the refund. We were forced to find another hotel for an additional $700 we weren't planning on spending and the hotel offered no help at all. I filed a complaint with both the hotel and marriott and no one ever got back to me - It's been two weeks. 0/10 stars. Worst hotel i've ever stayed at and i stay at hotels for work more than 50% of the year. STAY AWAY! Marriott should remove this one from their portfolio!

Sandra N.

Yelp
Bad Experience!!!! BEWARE!!! I was here for a function in the ballroom. The staff were rude and unprofessional.

Deanna J.

Yelp
Worst experience!!! Air conditioning is broken. Sewer poop smell in room. Items stolen out of closet. Horrible customer service. Old. Worst quality hotel room, cleanliness and worst customer service I've ever experienced.

Caitlin E.

Yelp
In Vegas, I feel like I'm in a jail cell because there's no comfort in the rooms. No coffee, tea, water or room service because they want you to go down to the casino and gamble. One of the comforts I always love about the Marriott's is room service. It's a big part of my vacation. Not only do they just NOT do it anymore, they offer no QR code in the rooms or even paper to write on. I get it, I'm a gen Xer but jeez, I'm not in Vegas. There's a restaurant downstairs but that ain't my vaca. And I guess Marriott won't be where I spend it anymore.

Angela V.

Yelp
The hotel is simply "okay." I wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay but it's decent and clean enough for a single night stay. It is conveniently located by a highway and there are a few eateries nearby (including a Starbucks) so it's the perfect place for someone who's looking to get in and get out. That's exactly what I was there for so it was habitable. The hotel looks pretty antiquated, the carpet was dingy (not dirty, just worn), my tub was clogged, and the room phone didn't work. If I was there for longer than one night, I'd check out early. But for single evening, it served the purpose of somewhere safe to sleep.

Verner R.

Yelp
Very large. Had to walk forever from the elevator to get to my room. Very dated hotel. Room smelled like a bordello when I walked in. Staff extremely friendly, which was a plus. Nearest ice machine wasn't working, necessitating an even longer walk past the elevators to find another one. Housekeeping o.k, but they didn't replenish the coffee pods or the creamer. Alarm clock flashing the wrong time and unable to be set correctly. Breakfast wasn't included, which seemed like a rip for what I was paying. All in all, not worth the price and not recommended.

Missfrasier1 ..

Yelp
The crop and kettle restaurant. The food and service is superior. Please ask for waiter Henry he's great. Tip him well.

Kat M.

Yelp
We arrived at 6-7pm and had booked a room with a king bed. Receptionist told us there weren't any rooms with a king bed available and asked if we wanted to wait or get situated in a room with two double beds. Not really much of a choice here. We opted for the double beds. Got our keys and headed towards the room. Room wasn't ready and we had to wait outside. Night time came and cue the intermittent rumbling noises that started after midnight and continued late in the morning. It sounded kind of like a loud motor from an elevator or drill. Not sure but I didn't get any sleep at all. Morning came and husband needed to take a shower. No hot water. Called lobby - said they were going to send a technician up. Nobody came. Check out time - staff offered extra points for our troubles. It's been a month and still nada

Yelp
Very deceptive hotel at first appearance you think oh this might be nice. People were friendly but clearly over over worked and are just trying to get through the day. Food- $22 dollar teriyaki salad with no meat that is extra. Shredded broccoli and Brussels sprouts were dried out and had three large stems that could not be eaten. Grub hub

Megan C.

Yelp
Ooof these reviews are brutal. I actually hadn't taken a look at this spot on Yelp prior to booking since I was a part of a hotel block for a friend's wedding. We had a really nice two night stay. No issues, comfortable rooms, nice bar, spacious lobby, cozy beds, smart TV, easy parking. We even utilized the fitness room and enjoyed that very much as far as hotel gyms go. Every staff member we encountered was fabulous and I appreciated the free flowing bottles of water. This is a very large hotel with many events coming in and out all the time. There's some updates that need to be done in rooms but I felt the price matched the quality I was expecting. A fine place to stay if you're looking to conveniently travel the Island. Catch the LIRR at Carle Place to travel into Manhattan. Enjoy!

Michael B.

Yelp
Overall I would not recommend staying here if you have other options. Location. It is not in walking distance to any bars or restaurants (hotel bar aside). If is, however, perfectly situated next to the Nassau Coliseum. Price. It's on the higher end for the area. Condition. Very very dated. Also, a good portion of the first floor was very musty. It was as if there was substantial water damage at the hotel that was not properly remediated. Service. So so. While we only checked in once on a 6 night stay, the line for check in was 40 people deep with substantial waits for at least 3 straight nights. Online/mobile check in was not an option. Hotel Bar. The service at the hotel bar was great. The prices, even for NY prices, are out of control. $20+for a straightforward mixed drink at a hotel bar. There are plenty of places nearby in Westbury or Garden City that will offer a much more relaxing stay.

Eddie M.

Yelp
The heating system here is probably the worst in the states. Worst hotel temperature ever. I gotta wake up in 2 hrs but can't sleep because the heater has a mind of its own and it just shoots up, their solution is to open the window, I see, so it's my job to keep the room at certain temp? This isn't normal. This isn't how others hotels operate. This place is a dump in other minor areas as well. Why does Marriott adopt these POS properties that only devalue the brand?

Darryl S.

Yelp
So Friday I came to my Hometown for my best friends moms Homecoming...being that I now reside in DE it was nice to stay about a mile from the hospital I was born in and could see from my balcony...that being said Saturday morning we were greeted by an extra amenity in our room...complained to management to a tepid response so hold This Tonya Jamal...assistant GM..

Paul B.

Yelp
I reserved two double beds, and when I got to the front desk (after a 45 minute wait) I was told the room I reserved was not available and I could have a room with one king. When I told the clerk that I wanted what I reserved she stated that all they had was the single king, that if I wanted a room that was all I could get. At least I was in better shape than the family checking in next to me - it's just me and my son. They had 5 people and were expecting 2 double beds and a roll away, and got the same "single king or nothing" offer that I got. The rooms look old and dated. This is definitely not one of Marriott's flagship hotels.

Amanda G.

Yelp
I'm not sure why the reviews are so bad. I'd say maybe the parking lot was the worst experience because you have to park around back and then walk back to main entrance late at night. They do not offer room service but you can go downstairs and order food to take upstairs. The restaurant is always empty but at night the bar is crowded. The laundry room had two washers and two dryers that cost roughly $2.50. The soap dispenser was broken though. -_- so you have to get soap else where. A store is conveniently located next to Concierge and it's open late. Housekeeping comes by everyday to change linens and towels, so I can say they have a good cleaning service. Staci works the front desk at night and she's the sweetest person working there. The entire staff at the front is awesome but her I remember because she definitely was really warm and helpful when I needed anything. It's a really nice place to stay if visiting that side of the island.

Nala S.

Yelp
I am staying here for a 5 night stay and for my first 2 nights here I am very disappointed. On the first night of our stay we came in pretty late from the airport and the night went fine until the morning came and my family and I had to take showers and there was NO HOT WATER! So we had to take cold showers, and finally after having to discuss with the employee a couple of times about moving to a suite, we were moved. The rooms are very dated with tan carpet that looks dingy and a choice of red leaves on it. The hotel is deceiving with a modern and fresh outside and lobby. The hallway itself is also dated like the rooms. The sheets also have minor stains. And worst of all, the smoke alarm randomly went off at around 10pm. The hotel manager came on twice and said it was under investigation as too what's happened, but after those two updates she never ultimately announced what caused the smoke detectors to go off. The fire department came with the firefighters in their suits and the lobby full, but still no update, guests had to come down for themselves to see what was going on! VERY POOR SERVICE! I am quite disappointed with my stay at the Long Island Marriott, come here at your own risk!

S B.

Yelp
Management lied to us. They had the audacity to tell us that the kitchen didn't have a freezer. Never heard such nonsense. My wife has to use cold packs for various ailments. We asked if we could freeze them in their kitchen freezer as we always do when we travel and we have been traveling all over the country on vacations for years. Never had a problem until we came to this particular Marriott. The refrigerator in the room had no freezer component. The refrigerator also made so much noise so we had to have it disconnected. Poor service - we will never ever stay there again. Marriott should be ashamed to have such employees. If they worked for me, they'd be fired without question. S. Berger, MD

Maureen C.

Yelp
The rooms are pretty outdated, but the breakfast was amazing. The employees were very nice and accommodating as well.

Ela S.

Yelp
I stayed at the Marriott Long Island for two nights for a work trip in August 2021 and really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel has a nice lobby/check-in area where people would generally gather. The on-site restaurant was nice and most importantly, the room was clean. The location was in a convenient location in relation to my work meetings. It is located right next to Hofstra University and there is a large stadium nearby as well. I would recommend staying at this Marriott location in Long Island if you are able!

Jenny M.

Yelp
Pool was filthy, jacuzzi is closed. Bugs in the room and found a huge water bug in the main ladies restroom. As shown in picture. Told the manager Shareen about my experience and showed her the photos I took of it and she did nothing to help. & the restaurant in the lobby food was horrible and over priced.

Jerry L.

Yelp
Please just save yourself the trouble and don't go to this Marriott, I wish I read the reviews first. Reservation was under my name but unfortunately I could not make it; I called but got the whole workaround by staff to call another number which directed me back to them. My parents got to the location and get turned away. We try to get them on the phone and the staff at the front desk refuse to talk to me. This is the first Marriott location I've been too which has been so inflexible and unaccommodating.

Adrian B.

Yelp
Not the worst hotel I've ever stayed at (that one had blood stains on the carpet), but this is way way worse than what I expect from Marriott. Had a cold shower twice while I was here. Rooms are old and run down. Restaurant is slow and unreliable. Avoid this hotel if you have any other options.

Damian S.

Yelp
Where do I even begin. This is 100% a honest opinion of my experience. 1. The rooms are very tiny with little to no room for the price you will pay. Several lights in the room did not even work. 2. The water takes forever just to get hot, only to get cold. 3. The hotel food and beverage service is ridiculous! I was charged $50 just for a salad and chicken quesadilla. 4. I stayed for 4 nights and was not once brought fresh towels nor was my room serviced to be cleaned. 5. The looks are focused on the lobby and nothing else. I would strongly recommend searching for another hotel.

Brian B.

Yelp
A perfectly typical and average Marriott. Nothing too exciting, but nothing bad either. Modern lobby. Ok rooms, very average, but not terrible. Our suite was gloomy and it had the most horrendous looking lamps (see photo). Yikes! Restaurant menu (see photo) has been stripped down from years past and the food is mediocre at best. The property is very remote, it's in the middle of a giant stadium parking lot. Not easy to walk anywhere. 25 minutes to JFK.

Tessa S.

Yelp
One of the worst hotels out in Long Island, front desk staff is extremely unhelpful. Got two important packages delivered and they were signed off on and the hotel lost one and then claimed UPS lied on their email, the mail room is extremely unorganized so do not try to ship anything here unless you want to spend $10 picking it up and have it be in poor condition. As other reviewers shared, the lobby appears nice but rooms are not.

Malisa R.

Yelp
Giant Marriott located on Long Island. This must be the largest hotel on the island. Easy location to get to, only 15 miles from JFK! Check in was great! I wish I could remember you checked me in. What a sweetheart. There was a lot going on when I got in too. Wedding, law convention, and so much more. Literally right next to a huge venue, Cradle of Aviation, and Hofta University. The facility is a little older, but clean. That's all the matters to me. I checked out the gym, which is in the basement. It's open 24/7! There is an indoor pool and jacuzzi, which have set hours. I checked out the restaurant on-site. Pretty decent for hotel food. My waitress was extremely nice, however I had a weird experience. After dinner, I returned to my room around 9:45pm. I got a call from my waitress asking if my hotel stay was ok and if I need anything like extra pillows. I travel a lot. Like a lot a lot. I thought the gesture was nice, but definitely left me feeling awkward since it was so late and it was my waitress calling. It felt like she was confirming that I was a hotel guest since I charged my dinner to my room. I hate making assumptions, what that is the only thing that makes sense. Would I stay here again? Yup! Next time I'll pay with my cash instead of charging to my room.

Tom B.

Yelp
Shame it's a Marriott as they have no customer service and two different rooms had roaches !

Daniel N.

Yelp
This hotel is the reason I want to ditch my Marriott elite status and ditch Marriott completely. I do not believe that managers actually work at this hotel. It's all people who claim to be managers but are just regular staffers. Managers usually respond to multiple outreach attempts, especially after calling Marriott corporate and opening a case w/ case number; all i've gotten so far are crickets. Complete and total silence. To start, booked this hotel for a wedding, check in is at 4 pm, get there after 6 pm, no rooms ready. Then, after rushing to a wedding event, getting a room 5 minutes before, I get back at 3:30 AM to find we have NO hot water. I call front desk; no one answers. I go downstairs to see someone else screaming about being denied a room because they were oversold. Front desk asks if I want engineer to come up at 3:30 AM. I say no... I have others in the room who enjoy sleeping at 3:30 AM, but they can come tomorrow as i'll be out most of the day. Next day evening after an ice cold morning shower- still no hot water, call front desk again, no one answers (keep in mind I let the phone ring at least 80 times each time I call) Then finally get connected with someone who claims to be a "director of front desk staff", apologizes, says they'll take care of compensation, nothing happens. Day of check out, lady takes my room and name down after STILL NO HOT WATER. Are you surprised that no one has called me, and they've charged me full price, sent a receipt, and the charge has now moved from pending to posted on my CC? I'm not. Apparently this is how this hotel operates. They don't value elites, don't care about customers and ignore the flaws within their property. Also, the rooms look like they're from the 80's and the bathroom is just plain gross. Save your time and money and frustration and go ANYWHERE ELSE. I fully believe i'd have been better off at a Motel 6. Should someone from this hotel ACTUALLY read this. Reach out to me immediately. Also, your billing team can't even respond to my voicemail. Case NO: 381144503

Tamika P.

Yelp
The pool was freezing! I love the water and can swim in lots of colder water but the pool was so cold. Multiple people came, tried to swim and had ti leave. The cleanliness was not great in the common areas. The shower in the pool had a used towel on the floor. The lobby tables had glasses on them so you couldn't just sit and have a drink. I know getting good labor is hard but this is ridiculous.

Michael P.

Yelp
I can't believe this hotel is actually associated with Marriott. I booked a king suite on an upper floor (I was told above floor 6) two months in advance, for a wedding nearby. When I arrived to check-in I was told that the hotel had booked not only all of the king suites but all of the king bed rooms too. The only rooms that I was told they had available were double beds. I was given a double bed room on the second floor, after paying for a king suite on an upper floor. I received no rebate or refund. The room itself was subpar. The wall covering was peeling off some of the walls, the room was not clean, and the bathroom looked like a college student housing dormitory bathroom with no working lights. If I wasn't on a strict timeline to get ready for the wedding, I would've sat and waited until the hotel figured out a way to get the room I paid for, ready. As someone who is a Marriott rewards member who stays with Marriott when I travel, I couldn't imagine that this is how Marriott treats their rewards members. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Porchia T.

Yelp
Lobby is a Marriott, Rooms are "Dollar General". This was probably the worst Marriott I've stayed in and I've stayed at many. The rooms are extremely outdated. Just look at the pictures of the other reviews, it looks just like that but worse in person. I saw the pics and was like it can't still look like that, let's just see. I totally regret that decision. Had to request more towels because three out of the five we had were stained. We needed a hotel stay for about 13 nights and checked out after the first night. Will not return.

Robert C.

Yelp
charging $10 to receive a package you have delivered... and we have over 60 rooms booked for the the night... with some for 2 nights. Thanks for the hospitality!!!! UPDATE... after chatting with the hotel via the app reservation i was told "it would be reviewed" following day my reservation was no longer to be found and unable to chat with them...

Mary B.

Yelp
This hotel should be given 300 stars for cleanliness! It is considered a three star hotel, and that is a shame. Everything about it is superb. I was not happy about going to watch. I've been considered a three star hotel, but we were in Merrick for a party and wanted to stay with everybody. I live in Manhattan and could easily have gone home, but decided to stay. The room was spacious and absolutely spotless! I love that you were able to open a window even just a little bit, the staff is very friendly and very helpful and very anxious to please! At home I sleep on a Tempur-pedic. I didn't think anything could be better. I don't know what the mattress wise but it was so incredibly comfortable. I didn't want to get out of it in the morning! had a little breakfast. Delicious bagels. Didn't know you could beat a New York bagel. The only thing I didn't enjoy was they did not have freshly squeezed orange juice. If you find yourself in the area, definitely give this hotel a try.

Jonathan L.

Yelp
This is my third time staying here. First time we went to our room they left the balcony door open overnight and there were birds and crap all over the room. Honest mistake and the manager made it right by gifting me points. 2nd time the room was somewhat clean and bearable. The hotel was short staffed so I understood the problems and they were apologic which I understood. This time though I though was discussing I am a platinum member and stayed at plenty of Marriott properties. This is probably the most dirtiest Marriott property I have stayed at. Went into my room and there were fruit flies flying over the bathroom. Now I have a huge roach outside on the balcony window. It's Around 1.5 inches. This is my third time staying here.

David G.

Yelp
Be careful booking here. They don't have a clue. And the bar upcharges your bill after you leave. Check everything before you pay. You can't pay your incidentals without checking out.

Dave D.

Yelp
Solid 4 stars! Those who follow my hotel reviews know the 3 "C's" - clean, comfortable and convenient. This property hit all 3. Very nice staff at the front desk. Pleasant and professional and got me checked in quickly. They have a good size bar and dining area in the lobby and the food I ordered was pretty good. I had the Clam Chowder and Shrimp Cocktail Salad Sliders. Washed it down with a cold beer. I wish they offered valet service as it was raining pretty good when I arrived and had to park fairly far away from the entrance. Room photos are for a complimentary room upgrade so I'm not sure what the standard rooms look like but the 3 c's would still apply.

Yelp
We had arranged for early arrival at 2pm instead of standard 4pm. When we arrived at 2:15pm our room was not ready. My son gave me his room, which was ready. He and his family waited around the lobby until 4 or later. Another son's room was still not ready at 6pm and he had to change for an evening event in the pool locker room! Our room was adequate and I noticed a tear in one of the bed sheets. There was no hang tag to request privacy, nor was there a hang tag to request room cleaning. The water for the entire hotel went out one night! My son said the pool and hot tub both had scum around the edge. We had a light lunch in the restaurant... I asked for decaf and it was warm but not hot. Overall the service seemed below par which is why I gave this hotel 2 stars.

Yelp
If I could do ZERO star I would. Flew in for a wedding. Staff was unprofessional, water did not work (could not brush teeth wash face shower etc) check in was way past 4pm.

Yelp
Check in. Go to room use the rest room no water. Was not informed there is no water. Used our check in gift of water to wash hands Informed water would be off midnight -4 am. Get up at 5:30 am to shower. No water 6:05 am fire alarm goes off after a few minutes speaker goes off "ignore fire alarm this is just testing" So now no water no fire what's next a sinkhole for no earth? And I've used all my points for three days of this

Yelp
Let's start with the positives. When i arrived the staff was very pleasant, friendny, & accommodating I'm sensitive to air freshener & mold, so I asked the front desk lady if i could see the room first. I had to wait a few minutes for the manager who took me to three rooms. I found one that was air freshener free & seemingly safe for sensitive people. The manager was very nice, the front desk woman was terrific. Now for the negatives. 1) If an industrial hygienist tested the air on the ground floor, he'd likely find way too much mold in the air.. . 2) After i checked in i turned on the a/c & went out to get something to eat & water to drink. I came back & the room had mold in the air- it was coming out of the a/c duct 3) When i showered that night, there was only scalding hot water. No matter what i tried, there was only scalding hot water 4) When I showered the next morning there was only scalding hot water. When i checked out i told the woman at the desk about the shower. She asked if i would mind if she gave me some Rewards Points for my Bonvoy account for the inconvenience. I reminded her that the room has a serious problem that must be addressed. 5). The price for the room was supposed to be 189 + tax= 210.17. 5) The price for the room was supposed to be 189 + tax =210.17. Shortly after i left i looked at the receipt &saw i was charged 199 + tax =over 222.00.I called the hotel & the woman i spoke to was kinda rude- told me i was told it would be 199 + tax. That is not true. I actually was told it would be 189+ tax. Before i drove to the hotel I looked online, the price was 189 for Bonvoy members. I called the hotel to make sure they had single king rooms available, & to verify the price. I was told yes they had rooms, & that Bonvoy members would pay 189. When i arrived at the hotel i gave the front desk woman my Bonvoy account # when i checked in. She never told me a price, but again, i had been given a price for Bonvoy members online & on the phone, i had given the front desk woman my account #, so why the hell was i charged what they charge non Bonvoy members?I left the manager a message, he has not returned my call. 6) The North West side door entrance does not open with your room key. So after 10 o clock you can;t get in through that door. I was freezing cold when i found that out after midnight. I had gone out to the car to get something, & did not bother to put anything on over my shirt. Why should i? It was 20' to the car. Of course, I ended up spending a lot longer outside & freezing my ass off cause the doors don;t work.

Yelp
Recently at this venue for the SASS Event, the 24th annual symposium for Breast and Ovarian Cancer awareness. Staff work effortlessly to help out the vendors and provide any supplies or directions needed. The continental breakfast stations were well placed and once the event got rolling and guests mulled about, the staff and crew had everything cleaned up and re-set up where needed. My colleague and I sat at the bar in the Cork & Kettle (ironically a yelp event took place here and I knew we'd have great service) mimosas helped make the afternoon seem just a little better but let it be known, for a Hotel bar/restaurant, you will be blown away. The venue is convenient to the formerly known as Nassau Coliseum, Hempstead Tpk, Hofstra University, Nassau Community College and of course Roosevelt Mall. Stylish decor, very clean and super-helpful and friendly staff. *I've never stayed at the hotel itself so I cannot comment on the rooms.

Yelp
I stayed here for two nights. It was an enjoyable stay. The check in process was easy, my room was very comfortable & spacious, and the amenities were just fine. While I won't be remembering this in my top 10 best hotel moments, it was very convenient for me at the time. I was working an event at the building just across the way and I was able to walk there. Location, itself is not ideal because there are really not a lot of things to do. More of an industrial area. There is a fitness center, a salon, an indoor pool and hot tub, and a lounge area. Overall, this was a fine stay and if I needed to return for another work event, I would definitely consider this property.

Yelp
I stayed at the Long Island Marriott one evening during a recent business trip. The Hotel was fine, and staff courteous and accommodating. I also had no issues with the room which was clean and function. I was not crazy about the very hard pillows, but that may just be a matter of preference so I cannot complain too much. Where I did, and still have an issue is the hotel not providing me with a receipt at checkout, not emailing me the receipt as promised, and responding to my complaint on this matter by 'escalating' my negative feedback but still NOT providing me with the receipt I require. It was astonishing to me that they would send me an email saying how they were sorry for my disappointment but NOT send the receipt. What is wrong with these people? Is my request so unusual that they are not equipped to respond? This shows a systemic problem with their operation, management, and customer service.

Yelp
This was my first stay at the LI Marriott. I was in town for a sports tournament and used points for my 2 nights there. Currently, the main lobby is under construction. Generally speaking, that's probably a good thing as this Marriott has been at this location for a very long time. Sprucing up is good. The temporary lobby area - which used to be the restaurant - is a little bit awkward - but still spacious and functional. I'm a platinum member and was acknowledged as such. The young woman at the front desk was exceptional - friendly, engaging and helpful. The woman that helped us at breakfast both mornings was also terrific. Speaking of breakfast, the upgraded breakfast buffet is more than plenty. A wide variety of choices including an omelette station, french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, turkey sausage, breakfast potatoes, fruit, cereals, breads, bagels, oatmeal....etc. A pot of coffee is brought to your table and a choice of juice is provided. If you're up for a hearty breakfast, the buffet is a good choice. There's a menu to order off of as well if you'd prefer to remain seated and have something custom from the kitchen. Regarding the room - it was upgraded and a very nice space. It was basically clean (there was a lone raisin on the floor in the sitting area and a stray, long hair in the bathroom...neither of which belonged to us....)...but the soaps/amenities were very nice and made up for those issues. Overall, I would stay at this property again if I'm in the area for another event.
