Celebrated a retirement here and it was perfect! The staff was great from the moment we arrived till the end! The event coordinator was on top of it and very helpful. The catering menu food was delicious! The atmosphere has a great feel, cozy & cool! Highly recommend.

The holiday drinks were great, we need to come back to try more of them! The chili was crazy good and the cornbread was very unique and delish. My kids even liked their food which is rare… good job. It was our second visit and we will always plan a stop when we visit town. Thanks!

We came in on a Saturday evening, 7 of us and had made reservations online but honestly there were plenty of tables open when we arrived. We sat in that table in the front, left corner, which was nice since it was warmer there and less noisy. We were greeted right away and was told to sit anywhere we wanted. Absolutely delicious drinks, wow! The smoked chocolate old fashioned is a must. Two of us did their shots and were super impressed with them that one of us ordered another one! Food: chicken wings, hot honey chicken sandwich, BBQ Mac, chili. Chili was my least favorite item but everything was pretty amazing. Great quality and very flavorful. Dessert: home made apple fritter - OMG. It was tiny but DAMN. Prob THE best apple fritter I've had in my life. Just wow. So glad we decided on this place! A must visit if you're in town!

I love the drinks here. I haven’t ordered food here for awhile and decided to get buffalo wings. I was disappointed because in no way was this spicy like a buffalo sauce. It tasted like soy sauce and brown sugar. When I questioned if this was the right sauce, the bartender asked the line cooks and apparently 3 of them told him this was their buffalo sauce and that they put honey in it. At that point, I just ate them (well half of them). I informed my bartender that I have a health condition in which I’m trying to be good and cut sugar and carbs. Thus, I ordered protein/wings and one drink with no syrups. But now, I’m eating soy-sugary glazed wings instead of buffalo. (Not his fault.) And the wings were good. But a word of caution for anyone ordering off this menu. Question the ingredients prior to ordering, especially if you have a health condition. (Do you think these wings look like buffalo to you?)

My partner and I were in for a holiday party on Friday and we had a blast. There were only a few staff working, with our size group they were truly impressive. Travis took care of us all night, not only was he attentive and charismatic (and had great style) but he was very professional in the most hospitality forward way. He gracefully cut people off with respect while holding his ground. The food was impeccable, and the drinks as usual, were superb. We would definitely recommend for any private event.

Google
Very unique establishment! We first went on a distillery tour where we were taught all about their process. You can tell that they really care about authenticity and safety. Our tour guide was super friendly and charismatic. We had lunch here afterwards and the food was absolutely phenomenal.

Keep coming back for the amazing list of seasonal cocktails! I would especially recommend coming during Christmas time as they decorate the inside beautifully!

TLDR: Amazing cocktails, scrumptious apps and delicious entrees make this place a favorite for my friends and a place I’d definitely return to.😎🍸 I enjoyed a lovely dinner here with a friend. We both ordered the Pathway Tropics cocktail 👙🌴😏 which was very tasty- she got a second one! It is served with a smoke bubble- the first time it was served, the bubbles had popped before they got to the table, but the second time, her bubble was still in tact! The smoke adds a nice flare to the libation. 🤤 I ordered the Flower Farm for my second drink, which was fantastically floral without being too sweet, and the rosebud garnish added a beautiful aroma, complementing the taste of the gin and raspberry liqueur. We split the charcuterie board- if you follow me, you know I don’t eat meat, but my friend said it was pretty good- the cheese was delicious, but the highlights for me were the pickled veggies and mustard spread! 🤤 Because the charcuterie was fairly filling for the two of us, we ended up splitting the fish and chips. The fish was delightfully crunchy, the chips were perfectly salted and the malt vinegar aioli was a perfect addition replacing the expected vinegar or tartar sauce. The atmosphere was pleasant and although busy, our server was very attentive, kind and hospitable. I’ll definitely be returning!

Yelp
Long Road Distillers is a great place for a festive holiday cocktail. They decorate for Christmas each year and have a special drink menu, some of which come in fun Santa glasses. I made a reservation for the weekend before Christmas for dinner and drinks. The space isn't huge so reservations are definitely recommended. We were seated right away and our server checked our IDs before giving us a complimentary sample of their mulled wine. It was a nice cozy way to start our visit. I was really excited for the food because everything sounded delicious, plus their sandwiches are all served with fries (fries are my favorite). I got the smoked mushroom sandwich and Nate ordered the LRD hot brown. We each had two drinks as well. The food looked great when it came out, but I was really sad because the fries were just not good. Unfortunately they weren't fresh so most of them stayed on my plate. The sandwich was good but I don't think I'd order it again. I had some bites of the LRD hot brown which I liked. Our drinks were delicious though! Service was a little bit slower but I figured they were short staffed. While this wasn't a 5 star visit for me, I have been to Long Road enough times to know that this was probably just an anomaly and will be back in the future.

Yelp
Love this place! Fabulous bar for drinks! There is something for everyone on this menu! The delicious beverages are also aesthetically pleasing! This bar is beautiful inside and have a small patio during the warmer months. The service here has always been spot on! Everyone is so kind and treats us super well! Absolutely love it!

Yelp
Went with colleagues for the Thursday night special which was a cocktail with a burger and fries for $20! There were certain cocktails and burgers to choose from. I opted for their Pride drink and the peanut butter burger. Our waitress was so attentive and accommodating! The cocktails around the table were all presented so well and delicious. The burger was meaty with a great balance of flavors. We met up between 4:30-5p and it was pretty chill but as it got later the crowd picked up for sure. They indoor and outdoor seating which I thought was great. I shall return!

Emily J.

Yelp
Swung by Long Road for holiday cocktails, and happened to be burger night! We were sat at the bar right away, but all the tables were taken. We ordered a couple holiday cocktails. They were super cute (see the Santa cup haha) AND they were BOOZY. I was surprised by how strong they were. We also ordered burgers and draft cocktails for burger night- I love their draft cocktails. Very tasty and refreshing! The burger was great too, but tbh their fries are the star of the show. Super crispy and fresh! Some of my favorite fries in GR.

David G.

Yelp
Good food and great experience. There are fun holiday drinks. Ryan is the best bartender. Thank you!

Carol P.

Yelp
We always enjoy stopping by here and have been here many times. Excellent cocktails! I change it up each visit and I have enjoyed each creation. The food is made FRESH and we have enjoyed every dish we have had served to us here. We have had the fish and chips, tempura fried mushrooms, Mediterranean plate, house cut fries, and white chicken chili. Our service is always on point and it's very clean and comfortable here. This is a go to place often for us.

Allison B.

Yelp
I had a great time here this past Friday. Our servers were great and attentive and very accommodating. I also appreciate that they were very allergen and dietary restriction aware as well. I loved the decor in here, a very nice vibe and mood. I'd say it's trendy but inviting. The still room is fun to look at too! The cocktails we tried were all very tasty. I loved the Polish Falcon the most. The ginger in the ginger beer was nice and sharp - if you enjoy mules you'll love it! They have some of their cocktails to go in canned form, we took home a four pack of th falcons for about $14. All of the spirits used were well executed. The fries to share were good, but I wasn't a fan of the aioli, too viscous for me. The fish and chips were good. The batter had an almost pretzel like taste to it and the fish itself was wonderful. Definitely a good bang for buck choice. Tried the salmon with asparagus as well and holy moly was it divine! Very well balanced, not a large portion though - so if you'd like a really tasty meal that's light I'd recommend it. I definitely recommend this place!

Bri K.

Yelp
The drinks are fantastic tasting and at a reasonable cocktail price. The atmosphere is chill and nice, making it great to meet up with friends or for a date night.

Sandy T.

Yelp
It was quite lively on a Friday night in this small dark distillery. Was seated promptly and given paper menus; so nice to not scan a QR code for a change. The food menu is small; but the drink menu is large. Ordered duck confit nachos and hot chicken sandwich. The nachos was heavy and tasted very one note, but the jalapeño salsa it came with was a good, fresh contrast. The hot chicken sandwich was not hot at all and well overcooked; it was physically hard to eat. The accompanying fries were on the softer/soggy side too. Did not try their drinks, but hopefully it's better than their food.

Sydney K.

Yelp
Long Road has been a go-to of mine and my friends for quite awhile. I love that the menu gets updated periodically, but still sticks to the amazing basics. Their Aquavit is out of this world, and I end up leaving with a bottle half of the time. The tasting flights are great, especially if you're not exactly sure what kind of cocktail you want to order! Burger nights on Thursday are an awesome value as well! And the confit nachos are I learned recently that their upstairs venue space is also really beautiful! Also, the service is impeccable. I'd recommend this spot for early phase dates. Little plants on the table and moody lighting! It feels sort of dressed-up casual, so you can impress without it feeling like overkill ;)

Yelp
Amazing cocktails. Killer french fries. Great service. The cocktails here are stellar. Grab a seat at the bar with a friend and watch them mix you up some fabulous drinks while you munch on their fresh housecut fries. Their presentation is great and their bartenders are very friendly... I've never once had less than perfect attention or service. Their "morning paper" "queen bee" and "in transit #1" are three of my favorites. Their cocktails are ever-rotating by the season, so you'll always have something new to try, plus a few of their classic staples. If you take home a bottle I recommend their gin or raspberry liqueur! Their spirits are excellent. This will always be a favorite of mine in Grand Rapids! Pro tip - stop in during happy hour for some endless fry deals and a few dollars off your cocktails!

Ryan F.

Yelp
Good drinks and I like the vibe of the place. I like that they tend to rotate their menu and have quite a few options.

Meg E.

Yelp
Not that busy on a Friday night. Took forever to get our drinks. She forgot one of the drinks. Ordered a drink that was supposed to have a smoke bubble on it and came without. When asked where the smoke bubble was we were told that the machine isn't working but hopefully will be getting another one soon is what we were told. Two tables of six walked in and didn't get waited on and both walker out. Drinks were disappointing at best.

Robert S.

Yelp
"Ambiance" nothing to write home about, generic bar seems about right. Not too loud when busy. Service was great. Cocktails were very poor, 3 out of 4 were watery. Appetizers were great (tempura cauliflower, fried mushrooms). Salmon burger was meh, Farrotto was good. Bread pudding was perhaps the worst I have ever had . Will not return.

Yelp
Long Road Distillers is such a neat restaurant/bar. The decor and atmosphere was really cool and the staff was really friendly. I had the Michigan Metropolis which was similar to an old fashioned that wasn't super sweet. It was really good. My husband had the American Swizzle which was a whiskey drink with kiwi that was very refreshing. We shared the smoked chicken nachos which were really good. The queso was mixed with the chicken and the homemade chips had a little bit of seasoning on it. We also shared their house salad with shrimp and red wine vinegar dressing. The shrimp was grilled to perfection.

Gary A.

Yelp
The food is of the best in Grand Rapids. They distill bourbon that rivals Kentucky. Highly recommend.

Amber M.

Yelp
This was my first time at this place and it did not disappoint! They have a great selection of specialty cocktails and infused liquors. The staff is very knowledgeable on the drink selection and can describe the different flavors really well. I had the Teta's lemonade which was sweet but tart! Very refreshing! We also had the loaded fries. I wasn't a very big fan of these. They almost tasted burnt and were missing some need flavor. The atmosphere is really nice and set up with ample seating! I will definitely come back again for drinks.

Yelp
We are fans of Long Road for the following reasons: - Fantastic Service - never had bad service there. Most of the time the owners are also there working behind the bar/throughout the space and they will come chat with your table to see how your experience has been. - Great Atmosphere - we love the distillery vibe they have going with the windows to the kettles in the back of the building. The decor is rustic and creates a nice feel to hang for dinner/drinks with friends. - Menu - their new paired down menu post covid is still plentiful. We were recently very impressed with their duct nachos (better than Vivant!! truly) as well as their steak entree that was prepared perfectly as requested. I did provide my feedback that the sauce (that lined the bottom of the plate) should be served on the side - it was much too sweet for my taste. - Cocktails - craft cocktails that are expertly made... what more could you ask for?! - Parking - the restaurant is located on the edge of a neighborhood and there is lots of parking downtown side streets. There's also parking along the Main Street (Leonard). Or, just Uber or use the SPIN scooters! There's a sparking box for the scooters just down from the entrance to the building. Super fun!

Yelp
Favorite spot in Grand Rapids. Great drinks, amazing food, fantastic ambiance. We always stop when we are in town and usually bring home a few bottles too!

Rodolfo B.

Yelp
This is the whiskey place to be in ! The location, decor, cocktail options, staff, bartender knowledge, menu..just a great experience!! While I was there, noticed the place had an upstairs space which had a rehearsal dinner. Bartender said it's been very popular this year. Also, there's parking at an empty lot next to the small building. I would revisit this place if in Grand Rapids again!!

Courtney L.

Yelp
The holiday cocktails alone are worth a stop. Loved the vibe inside too. The feature of aquavit was a nice addition, even if I wasn't a big fan of it myself. The other liquors are phenomenal.

Lucas L.

Yelp
I really do want to love this place. The food is great, the booze is phenomenal, the staff are amazing people, and it's a cool brand with a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, all of that can't overshadow the reality that the owner, Jon O'Connor, who is also a city Commissioner in Grand Rapids, has been hands-off and deafeningly silent about critical issues in our city, most recently, the GRPD murder of Patrick Lyoya. Customers and employees of Long Road all have a stake in this and other issues, and he does a dishonesty and disservice to his community when he refuses to do his job. He should resign and focus on this business, instead, so that experiences at Long Road won't be tarnished by his contribution to degrading our beautiful town by being a bad leader. When he one day chooses whether he wants to mind his own business as a proprietor or can balance that with government leadership work, perhaps I can begin to again patronize his lovely establishment. For now, I can't stomach giving business to a guy who'll handle his constituents like you see in the video below. What does that mean he does to his employees? What if you have a customer service issue? Will he just cuss you out and walk off? Sad to see a great spot brought down by an owner with so many conflicts. https://youtu.be/No1L4Qi4970

Yelp
SERVICE: 5 FOOD QUALITY: 5 DRINK QUALITY: 5 ORDER TIME: 5 AESTHETICS: 5 NOISE LEVEL: 5 MENU SELECTION: 5 OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 5 Been wanting to go here since I walked by the window after going to the mitten. The reviews are always wonderful. Our power went out so I decided it was time to finally go. The inside is very welcoming. A very large, modern, interior that says please come enjoy our delicious menu. I started my evening with a, Rival the Last Word, gin cocktail which was delicious. Was the perfect mix and a beautiful presentation. After having a cocktail I ordered the loaded fries which had such an amazing seasoning. These fries were cooked to perfection. Not too soggy, and not too hard. Was the perfect pre meal snack. For dinner I had the BB chicken sandwich. It was tasty with a hint of heat. My only gripe was that the chicken was really thin. I would of liked an option for crispy chicken as well. I've been on a quest for the best chicken sandwich in Grand Rapids and I would rank this as #3. After eating my sandwich I ordered the tee bee dee for my dessert. The brandy mix was delicious. Very sweet, and smooth. It was the perfect after-meal drink/dessert. The overall experience was everything I was hoping for considering my expectations from the reviews. This is a must eat and drink!

Yelp
We came for happy hour (who went from 4-7, not 4-6 like a few websites stated). We only did a small plate and drinks, but it was enough to make me want to come back and explore the menus further! Shots were $3 and cocktails were $2off, starters were also at a reduced price. The shots we had (Aquavit + Basil) were smooth, but too sweet for both of our tastes. Not to worry, there's plenty more options on the menu for next time. Our drinks were great - flavors blended well, aesthetically pleasing, and reasonably priced (especially with the happy hour deal). The Fried Biscuits - AMAZING. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, with a jalapeño honey drizzled on the bottom and a delicious pimento cheese on the side left our tastebuds satisfied. It's seat yourself but he hostess was quick to pop over and get us menus (although it was pretty empty around 5...filled up closer to/around 7). Our waitress was knowledgeable about the beverages and friendly. The app was brought out and "presented" to us by another staff. Definitely check this place out for its happy hour, especially if you want more than cheaper beer and burger. I'd love to go back and try one of their main plates next time.

Ashley M.

Yelp
Gin Cocktail Heaven. Long Road is well known for their excellent award-winning spirits, including their Gin which is not to be skipped over. A smaller intimate space with some larger "community" style tables alongside private seating options. A great place for both a date or time out with friends Offering an extensive seasonal cocktail list, there's truly something for everyone. The cocktails are wonderfully balanced and not over priced. Happy Hour runs from 4-7 which is unheard of with $3 shareables (that're delicious) and $2 off cocktails, etc. One of my favorites in GR.

Aaron H.

Yelp
Not bad, not bad at all. Extensive cocktail menu. The drinks are kind of sweet for my taste, but I only tried a couple. I'll have to try some different ones next time. Limited, but effective, food menu. The burger was surprisingly really good and unique. Lots of flavors and a delicious Parmesan crusted bun. Way better and more interesting than a lot of dedicated burger places, like the one downtown, the one centered around a celebrity. Not a lot of gluten free options, and not sure the gf fries were really gf. Nice ambience. It's a good comfortable space with an easy atmosphere.

Marya T.

Yelp
Drinks are to die for as long as you like them strong! Nothing sissy about this place ! Great atmosphere

Kristi S.

Yelp
Stopped by on a whim after dinner, wish we would have eaten here instead! Menu items looked delicious! We did end up sharing the wonton and crab dip. The drink I ordered (old fashioned) was a bit strong for me, and they offered to make me something else and remove that one from my tab....I've never had that happen before! Our server was very friendly and helpful in choosing drinks and appetizer. Decor was really cool and inviting. Relaxed atmosphere. Will be back when I'm in town!!

Kelly T.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite place for happy hour. Their craft cocktail game is a rotating mix of favorites and new items and I appreciate that I find something new to love every time I go. Each ingredient is prepared in house and they are passionate about using products grown in Michigan (sorry, no tequila or rum, but you won't miss them!). Their happy hour features cheap appetizers and $ off plates, mini martinis and $ off cocktails. When releasing new spirits, they create all new cocktails to showcase their product. The day of release, specials on tastes or cocktails with the new item is my favorite way to see if it will earn a place in my home bar. I've also attended four of their cocktail classes. They are well organized, informative, and a whole lot of fun! If you want to take your at home cocktail game to the next level, it's a must!

Sal B.

Yelp
I've been meaning to check out Long Road for quite some time. Tonight was finally our night to give it a try. We arrived on a weeknight for a late dinner and drinks. The establishment was about 60% full when we walked in but quickly filled up. We were also happy to see there was live entertainment. Our server was pleasant and checked in with us often. She took time to explain some drinks. My wife loved the burger. She gave it 5 stars and thought it was great. The poppy seed bun was a nice touch. Fries were pretty good. Maybe 3.5-4 stars. My turkey rueben was good, I'll give it 4 stars. I wanted more smoke for the turkey. Overall a good sandwich. BTW, the smoker out back smelled really good. Whatever you had on the grill smelled delicious. Our drinks were good. We tried the Polish Falcon and The Fitzgerald. I'm not an expert on distilled spirts but these drinks were tasty. I would recommend Long Road to a friend. Whether for dinner or just drinks. Neat little place.

Robyn J.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! I have been coming here for years now. All the employees are extremely friendly and kind. I have not had a bad experience or time there in all the years I have gone. If I am unsure of what cocktail to have, I ask the bartender to surprise me. They know me well enough to give me something that I will like. I can not express how much I enjoy going there. I just took the tour and had a lot of fun doing that.

Jae K.

Yelp
Update: the owner addressed my concern, followed up with his staff, and sent me a reassuring message as follows: "Our oysters arrive fresh in the early afternoon every Tuesday oyster night. While we do begin shucking oysters right before we open to accommodate the initial rush of patrons, we then continue to shuck them throughout the evening service on demand to ensure our guests all receive fresh shucked oysters as they are ordered. All of our oysters are held in a refrigerated environment to ensure their quality and freshness. I have followed up with our kitchen staff to go over our food safety practices as it relates to the serving of oysters. I hope that the batch of oysters you received was an anomaly in taste and quality. We have worked diligently with our fresh oyster provider to ensure that the quality of oysters we get each month is the best available." It takes love for what you do and a dedication to customers to follow up on a Yelp review as John (the owner) has. I apologize for my previous review. Perhaps the batch I got was indeed a fluke. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the sandwich. What more could you ask for? I will absolutely return. And maybe even try the oysters again :)

Ian M.

Yelp
Originally went there to take the distillery tour. I went there with my girlfriend celebrating something I can't put in this review. We started off with two of their specialty drinks and the mushroom and artichoke spread. I had the Free, Fall, Crash and she had a Starting in 1906. Both drinks were really good and the service was excellent. The tour was great. One of the owners took us through the distillery process and was very entertaining and really liked what he was doing. The tasting was one of the best we had been on. The gin and vodka they make is an absolute must to try. I would recommend to everyone to try the place out.

Nick N.

Yelp
The experience was fine. When entering the restaurant, we were told there would be an hour wait for the bar and and hour and a half wait for a table. There were clearly open seats at the bar. We were fine with wait and my wife headed toward the bar to get a drink. She moved toward the bar and the hostess awkwardly stopped her and explained there was no standing at the bar. When we questioned the hostess about the open seats at the bar, we had quite a difficult time convincing her the open seats were available. Despite the weird experience at the host stand, we had some decent drinks and on par food. Nothing to write home about. The bartenders and staff were excellent. Very cool to see them make complex cocktails from the bar. A word of unsolicited advice for long road - update the drink features for the current season. it is March and your drink menu is catering to fall flavors.

Danielle F.

Yelp
I ordered pork tartine. Tartine means bread with stuff on top which was accurate. Fluffy grilled uncrusted bread as a base that reminded me of Texas toast. Next there's a layer of what's better described as bacon than pork, finally a pile of Slaw with fresh pickled cabbage and spicy mustard, then covered in a spicy mayo sauce. There were fresh mandarins slices for Sweetness or a palate cleanser. It's about 3/5 spicy so be warned! I thought it was delicious! Top marks for both taste, presentation, and even a healthy helping of vegetables. It's in the small plates menu, but I wouldn't describe it as small. It was larger than my boyfriends chicken sandwich. For appetizer the loaded fries were tasty and filling. The fries are both soft and crispy which is my favorite. It's a lighter creamy sauce not melted cheese. Drinks: also ordered the absinthe suissesse ( I'm an absinthe girl) and thumbs ups! Came with perfectly frothy egg white topping, a hint of the almond milk and a strong but appropriately watered absinthe flavor.

Yelp
Long Road is a treasure to the Westside! The vibe of this place brings such a cool atmosphere to Leonard Street that was MUCH needed. My husband and I have purchased Long Road liquors in local stores, but this was our first time at the actual distillery. We sat up at the bar for the sake of something different, and it was very inviting. We usually steer clear from sitting at bars because it tends to be very loud and crowded, but the bar was much more welcoming here. I also LOVE how their cocktail menu changes seasonally. Their branding is super on point; very modern yet rustic all at the same time. I'd love to come back sometime and dig in to some of their food!

Travis J.

Yelp
I changed my review based on a visit for the Barrel Aged Maple Syrup release. My group of three was there a total of just over 3 hours. It took almost 30 minutes to have our drink orders taken. Two of us ordered a cocktail and a coffee, the third ordered just a cocktail. An hour later our food order was finally taken. So an hour and a half into our stat we finally had the chance to order food. We each ordered a meal. I ordered Pancakes and a shareable of the donuts. Roughly 40 minutes later our food came. We have now been seated approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes when we were served. Up to this point we sat with empty glasses minus a girl that refilled our coffee once. When our food arrived a second drink was ordered. Due to our waiters complete ineptitude to due his job he never entered the drink order. My two companions seamed to enjoy their meals. My pancakes were horrible, over cooked dry and flavorless. My companions at the table all a agreed. The one bright spot in the visit were the donuts, they were very tasty. To highlight my discussed with our service I watched our tall waiter pay more attention to his friends chilling at the bar. To make situations worse, there were many customers who came in after us, enjoyed several cocktails and their meals and left well before us. The only thing that made the day good was going across the street to The Mitten and enjoying two flights of beer. We wished we had not wasted our time and money on subpar food at Long road when we could have gotten pizza flights from the mitten. I am sad to gave to write this as I have had good experiences in the past. The general vibe was we are to cool to wait on you. When the bills came they were basically dropped on the table without a thanks. If I could have given zero stars I would have. I expect more from an establishment with a very high dollar menu.

Michael T.

Yelp
Long Road's always have great deals going on every now and then which is nice to take advantage of. The two times I went were for the $1 Oysters and Seafood broil. The Oysters were amazing! I'm a big fan of oysters and they were rich, flavorful, and fresh. They came out on a dish of 6 each order you put in. They wait is quite long although each event is always packed. If you don't come early, expect a decent wait. The seafood broil wasn't that great. The amount you paid for a small dish that was meant to be served for two people wasn't filling at all. The seafood to vegetable ratio was half and half, so the amount of actually seafood wasn't much. The seafood itself had a weird flavor that didnt taste great with the amazing seafood served. The corn and potatoes were flavorful under the broil though. Good thing it's a distillery though because the beer and drinks at the bar was great! Awesome local brewing and wide variety of different cocktails and spirits. Would come back just for the bar and awesome service that was given.

Yelp
I want to live here so I can try all the drinks. I was so impressed with my cocktail here and every drink on the menu looks so good. The waitress informed us that all of the ingredients are made in house. The ambience is cozy, but beware that Monday night is jazz night and it may be difficult to have a conversation.

Yelp
Was extremely fortunate to find LRD before Covid came to town! And can't wait to go back!! The spirits were terrific and the mixologist must be a genius, of course after trying a couple of their specials he might have been a magician What really surprised us was the food in this corner pub!! Gourmet all the way. We started with the homemade fries drizzled with a creamy garlic aïoli. I had the perch and my friend the duck and... wow. Staff was friendly and fun. Love the building! Definitely going back as soon as we can.

Yelp
This may be my favorite of the trip! It's Whiskey time! We had the fresh made doughnuts with orange syrup, Whiskey flight, Coconut Telegraph, Crab Cake Benedict, Creole Croque Madame. Everything was fantastic, flavors and presentation were breathtaking. This is an awesome place for breakfast and cocktails! The surprise for the visit was the Aquavit, it is a flavorful botanical from Scandinavia, also made here. We loved it!

Yelp
Awesome bartenders, really great liquors and all housemade mixers as well. Had a few different drinks and they were all fantastic! Also a very cool little spot, although some nights there isn't any room, so there is a wait. Oyster nights are awesome, brunch is good as well.

Yelp
Went for Saturday brunch with friends to celebrate a birthday. Our server was prompt and knowledgeable, and the food was excellent. The liqueurs we sampled were wonderful- lots of variety. For food I recommend the roasted potatoes, the eggs Benedict, and the friendtoast. And try the Nocino! It tastes like Christmas and is excellent by itself, or in coffee. We visited again, recently, and the seasonal items were excellent. The fried biscuits were delightful, and the shrimp and waffles were tasty (but a bit heavy/very filling). We'll be back! :)

Yelp
Excellent cocktails and food with almost everything made in-house! This place is a great go-to to take out of town friends. Perfect cozy spot for happy hour or grabbing a late night meal with outstanding service. We love their deviled eggs, fries and bacon wrapped pork tenderloin.

Yelp
Have never had a bad meal here... Our first visit we did the distillery tour which was very educational and the tasting afterwards was fun. The bartenders here are first rate. Their cocktails are works of art and absolutely amazing. The food is excellent and the service is always friendly. Will come back again and again for the great food and drinks.

Yelp
We popped in for happy hour and had the oysters. They were small but fresh. The drink selection was creative and we both enjoyed our drinks. Drinks were made with fresh ingredients and the only liquor they sell is their own. I was sad we couldn't take a bottle back on our flight but may order from them directly.

Yelp
Disclaimer: I am an amateur spirits enthusiast at best, so I won't be able to describe to you in an expert way why I liked or didn't like a particular drink. I came here with some east coast visitors who were in search of some good bourbon. We were not disappointed by the overall selection of spirits, food options, atmosphere, and service. I tasted their Straight Bourbon and their Wheat Whisky. Both were very good, but I preferred the Wheat Whisky since it was a little more mellow and gave me a better opportunity to enjoy the flavor. Straight Bourbon was good too, it's just that my taste isn't quite refined to comment beyond that. They have a large list of cocktails. I really like that in addition to ingredients, the menu also gave you a 3-4 words describing the flavor of each drink. That was very helpful. I don't remember the cocktails' names, but I tried two different whisky base cocktails and finished my wife's vodka base cocktail. The whisky cocktails were great with very rich flavors. The vodka cocktail was refreshing. They also have a food menu, but we did not eat. We were there on a Jazz Night and there was a live Jazz band that was great. Staff was helpful in describing cocktails and drinks. I'd come back to work on that Straight Bourbon taste, and give a few more cocktails a try.

Yelp
This place is great. We ended up coming here for dinner on a Friday when Mitten's wait was over an hour. We got seated right away at the bar and the bartenders were awesome. The food and drinks are phenomenal, so good in fact that we came back for brunch two days later. We've ordered: Dinner... - stuffed dates (incredible) - beet salad (so good, I should have ordered a full one and stuffed myself) - chicken tostada (crunchy and flavorful) - roast beef sandwich with the chef's side (husband licked his plate practically) - a vanilla AND chocolate pot de creme (worth it. SO WORTH IT.) Brunch... - cold brew coffee on draft (we're from Seattle. this is the tits.) - Bloody Mary (horseradish perfection) - huevos rancheros (spicy, crunchy, creamy, awesome) - breakfast sliders (will eat again) Make sure to try the ginger beer. It's nonalcoholic and possibly the best thing I've drank in Michigan, which when compared to all the amazing beers in town says a LOT.
