In an era saturated with trendy hipster bars, sophisticated wine bars, and exclusive ultra lounges, it's hard to deny the unique charm of an authentic neighborhood dive bar. I'm completely drawn to these establishments, which still exude a genuine, old-school American atmosphere. Even a few rounds of pool transported me back to the bar scenes of the mid to late 90s. Having visited twice already, I see no reason not to become a regular. *As an added bonus, alongside the standard bar fare, they offer surprisingly delicious Vietnamese cuisine – I believe the owner is Vietnamese.

Google
Great service!! I walked over from TA truckstop. I had tacos and wings... very good, they definitely don't skimp on portions or sides. The tacos were fried, and the shell was kind of like a chalupa. The wings (medium) were AWESOME with carrots, celery, and blue cheese... VERY GOOD ..I wish I wasn't working because I would have liked to stay there and have a beer. GOOD VIBES!!!

Google
Nice atmosphere, food was ok. Waitress rush through explaining what exactly the dish was. Sounded good from what I gathered. Dish was served over noodles (hate noodles) and came with a sauce to drizzle over the dish. The sauce ruined it, I ate 3 bites, pushed it away. Told the waitress I couldn't eat it. She carried it away. The appetizer of fried shrimp was so great, cooked nice and crispy. Got finished, received my check, it was full price (35.00). Never even got asked if I'd like something else. Place is set up really nice, music was really good, and the location is great. Being a trucker,I was able to walk down from the truckstop.

I can't knock this joint. I've only been here the once, had the beef pho, and sang karaoke on a Wednesday evening. There was a good crowd with high energy.

Google
Great place. I can't wait to come back. The lamb spring rolls and crispy chicken wings are Spectacular. The dipping sauce for the spring rolls was amazing. The pool tables were awesome, Nothing like a bar room quarter table The karaoke was funny. Bartenders were engaging and fun. The local bear on top was very nice. The blood orange. Thank you for good memories.

Google
Claims best pho in town. More accurately best bar pho in wheat ridge. Broth is beef only and if you're used to the gargantuan bigger than your head sized large bowls on Federal, the large here is more like a medium. Basil, sprouts and cilantro were fresh. Jalapenos added enough heat and chicken was tender. Service was excellent, never had to ask for more water it was always there. If you're jonesin for pho and near I70 and Ward, you won't be disappointed.

Google
Came in for a bachelorette party. Our attire was a little unorthodox. The bar was slower than usual so the bar manager and his crew hyped us up and helped make the night fun. Thanks so much for being good sports! What a nice young man and the bartenders were just the sweetest 🧑‍🦳

Google
Louise loves stopping by this place whenever I visit Colorado. Love the diversity in food. You get your choices of American food or Vietnamese. Really enjoyed their hot and sour soup and their wonton soup. Plus there, rice, vermicelli, vegetable and pork bowl. Prices on beer or a good. A place that I will always visit.

Yelp
Tried this place out for the first time. The vibe is definitely of a dive bar. The inside is fine it's very dark and have some cute decor. The food is mid as well. I ordered the shrimp pho. It was extremely salty and I love salt but it was too much for me. We also got some wings which were meh. And then a noodle bowl which was fine. The prices are what you expect and the food is fine. The server was kind and attentive

Yelp
Best pho in the USA. It puts pho in Garden Grove, CA to shame. It's better than my wife's and rivals any you can find in Vietnam. Kitchen is leased, operated and staffed 100% by Vietnamese personnel Outstanding!
google avatar

Laura F.

Yelp
It's a very typical, western type sports bar. Pool, darts, shuffle board, TVs. BUT ALSO, super delicious Vietnamese food! We ordered a Vietnamese sandwich on Texas toast, a grilled pork bun bowl, and steak stuffed grape leaves. Everything was really good. Meat was grilled well and plentiful. More I'd like to try. Will definitely return. Service was attentive. Food wasn't cheap and the bun bowl was a little small, but quality was on point.

Yelp
First time here - came to enjoy the Blues Jam. Great food, great drinks, great hangout!
google avatar

Robin B.

Yelp
Probably the best dive bar in the metro with a party in the front, business in the back kind of vibe. Pro Tip - Order the Pho!

Lisa F.

Yelp
Amazing sports bar and restaurant. The restaurant is leased so it's not your normal run of the mill bar food. This food is amazing! We tried multiple things on multiple nights and it was all crazy good. Highly recommend

Yelp
Long shots is a "dive-type" bar with some decent food options. Sat at the bar on a weekend during NBA and hockey playoffs...only to see the NFL draft, women's softball, and some other e-golf type game. Obviously no one was concerned about sports. So, while deemed a "sports bar" be sure to ask for what you want...though in a somewhat crowded place, I am not sure how they decide when to change the channel. Ordered the pork egg roll noodle bowl - and was pleasantly surprised. Reviews I read mentioned the Pho, which my husband ordered. He got the beef (3.5 stars) - and thought is was good (though he is used to a more traditional variety of Pho with tripe and other odds and ends). I tasted the broth and thought it was great (and even spooned some on my noodles...yum). Hubby went back on two different occasions tried the Shrimp Pho (3.5 stars...shrimp were big and plentiful) and the Pad Thai (1 star; not traditional...noodles are bigger...spices "different" with too many veggies - including, surprise! Brussels sprouts...and it was 20 bucks!). Service is cheerful and quick.

Yelp
The perfect place if one wants pho and another wants a burger. The food is self was really good, the spring rolls were the best out of everything. Could have eaten a whole order myself. The place has a dive bar vibe with pool tables and live music. The bar tenders seemed to be taking care of all the tables but did a great job! (It was only a Wednesday night) would def go back if i am in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
This neighborhood dive bar has a surprising menu of Vietnamese food as well as standard American burger type standards. The staff is quick and we'll-informed. This is a casual place so wear your rocker T-shirts and jeans!
google avatar

Elaina R.

Yelp
Great food in a fun bar atmosphere, can't be beat! This was some of the best pad Thai I have had in a long time.

Charles R.

Yelp
Such a cool ambience. Billiards, touch tunes, plenty of decor. The Vietnamese food is unreal. Depending the day, live music. What's not to love.
google avatar

Yelp
Don't be fooled by the name, Long Shots serves up amazing Vietnamese food. I loved their vermicelli noodle bowls! I opted for the beef and pork vermicelli bowl and it was full of flavor. We ordered them to-go and the entire process was seamless. My only complaint is that it was $17, which is slightly pricey compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I've visited. I definitely recommend this to others and will be back!!

Charles R.

Yelp
Great service, great food, great pours for what looks like a truck stop bar. Shawtell is the best also and helped me out with what to order when I didn't know what good.

Yelp
Stopped in at long shots to meet girlfriend for lunch she told me they had wonderful noodle bowls they have Pho there, I've had it before so I decided I'd go and try this kitchen / chef my girlfriend suggested that I just get the noodle bowl with veggies no meat so I did surprisingly enough I really enjoyed it. It was also served with an eggroll which was delicious as well. I don't know if you all have been to long shots but it's set up very nice pool tables on one side they have an outdoor patio as well which is really cool and then they have on the other side of the entrance to the right side more seating Without the noise of the pool tables. And of course they had TVs everywhere with different types of sports and news and other topics on the screens which was pretty cool, they had music playing in the background which wasn't that loud and we could actually have conversation and not have to scream over the music lol. So They Do Have A Pho Menu But there is a large variety of other things on the menu as well to be enjoyed. It got pretty busy in there as we sat and enjoyed our noodle bowls. It's nice to see return customers the bartender seem to know a lot of the people by name I like that that's a thumbs up for me. So if you're ever out in that direction, stop by check out the menu have something to eat have a beer or a cocktail. Thanks for the read. Until next time. !

Yelp
We went to this "hole in the wall" bar and grill on our daughter's suggestion, and it was awesome!!!. We had the Saigon delight and the shrimp stuffed lamb and they were both just out of this world tasty. We had a great time afterwards just hanging around and playing pool. Will definitely be coming back.
google avatar

Cole T.

Yelp
Really good food! Their summer rolls are seriously legit. They were so good that I ordered as my appetizer and again for my entree the first time I was there. Lots of options for bar games, TVs, etc. Very spacious inside with friendly bartenders, patrons and cold drinks.

Yelp
SO... my husband and I have this establishment as a routine stop whenever we visit Denver (once upon a time, while residing in Denver, this gem got our attention - 'Vietnamese American Cuisine', at a place that clearly looked like a typical sports bar/truck stop. We've not turned back. Once side of the menu is American standard fare (burgers, deep fried apps, even more) I can't forget when I first flipped the menu to discover the Vietnamese menu. It made everything feel just right. My favorite is the veggie/tofu Pho (and yes, as it says on the menu, the "Best Pho in Town"). My husband experiments with the menu, but especially enjoys the noodle bowls. (The service is very good ;the food service timing is just in time for a second drink - fine by us) I recently noticed on the restaurants FB page, the owner also supports local food insecurity especially among children. It's the only place we've been back to regularly in the Denver area.

Sharon N.

Yelp
Who would have thought that a bar could do Vietnamese food, burgers, and green chili well? We were ALL happy with our food and the service. And we had a blast playing games- darts, shuffle board, foosball. Fun!
google avatar

Yelp
Somebody I work with insisted that I try this place and I was as skeptical as most of the other reviewers. The place looks like the worst kind of dive bar. Turns out it's better than the best dive bar I've been to! Service is friendly, they've got great tunes on, and the Vietnamese food is amazing! I had the egg roll noodle bowl, which is my go-to first dish at any Vietnamese place. It did not disappoint! The egg rolls were crunchy and flavorful, and the noodles were a perfect texture mixed with the crunch of the veggies. The beer selection is great for a dive bar, decent for a regular spot. Don't ask for anything fancy at the bar. I tried asking for an old fashioned, but it's not that kind of bar - they don't have all the ingredients. Stick to beer and simple Cocktails and you'll be in the right zone. Great lunchtime spot, I'm sure I'll be back!

Yelp
Service sucked, food is sub par!!! We asked for hot mustard and settled for suracha and received no sauce with pho. Just frustrated with the stuck-up wait staff.
google avatar

S A M.

Yelp
Not even sure where to start this review.... Been here a few times over the last few months. While the food is damn good (the main reason for 2 stars)... The service needs A LOT of work. Wait staff that can only take 1 single solitary order at a time. While this isn't the busiest place I have ever been. While this wait staff worked fast with that one order. Others patrons in the same are would be ignored for long periods of time. The most recent time patrons were missed and got angry and complained. The Bar Manager... Told this patron that they were really busy on the other side of the bar and the 3 servers were all overwhelmed..... Maybe if the wait staff wore something other sandles/flip flops they could work faster. I am utterly disgusted with this establishment and will NOT be back.

Yelp
For anyone that has not tried this place for lunch, you are missing out. It's unassuming and appears to be a pretty healthy dive from the outside. Inside it appears to be your basic bar. However, I've been there several times for lunch over the past few years with a friend that is a fellow foodie, and I have to say that the noodle bowls are absolutely awesome. The stuffed wings and the egg rolls are some of the tastiest I've ever had! I've never had one of their burgers so I can't comment on that. Pair the noodle bowl concoction of your choice with an Alaskan IPA, and you have a meal fit for a king or queen however you roll!

Yelp
Surprisingly great food for a dive bar. Cooks are Vietnamese hence, probably one of my best experiences as far as Vietnamese food. We had the green chill as an appetizer and it was great, the correct amount of heat and temperature (often soup and stew are more room temp). Overall a great choice lunch.

Roland H.

Yelp
Food is expensive for what this place is. Service ok. Vibe decent overall - think "pricey dive bar"
google avatar

Evan M.

Yelp
Very good wings and a great blues jam. I wish they'd get something darker on tap, but no complaints. Good vibe and fair prices.
google avatar

Eric B.

Yelp
Walked in to a very nice bar n grill, American as they come. Asked what kind of food the have, surprised to be told they were known for their Vietnamese food! I opted for the burger n onion ring. Food was very good, beer was cold n never got empty. Bartender was awesome! Will definitely return when I roll through.
google avatar

Catherine H.

Yelp
This place is great!!! Everything we would want...pool tables, darts, good music, enclosed front patio to smoke great decor lots of wood, lots of TVs, GREAT food and GREAT SERVICE!!!!! We will be back when here in Denver!!!!
google avatar

Pedro G.

Yelp
It's basically a large country dive bar with games (pool table etc), well chosen music and pretty good Vietnamese food! Seems to be a popular place. Service, prices, food and drinks were all good. My only complaint is that they made a minor error on my food order and handled it the wrong way by taking the plate away, bringing it back 10 minutes later 'corrected' but with the meat all cold. They should have simply left the plate with me then brought me a side of rice on a separate plate. I still like the place and will be back.

Mary D.

Yelp
My son and I love to come here for pho, and have for years. It's an interesting and idiosyncratic place, a neighborhood bar that does excellent Vietnamese (and white people) food for a mostly-white clientele, with fun and funky decor. It's often crowded, and sometimes the bar is a bit understaffed, but they're always friendly and working hard, competently, and intelligently. We most often have Kelly helping us, and we appreciate it! She is reliably cheerful and observant. She remembers our preferences (extra noodles, no cilantro, please), and notices an empty glass awaiting refill. We're always glad to see her. When you see a place that signals a fusion between, say, western bar and pho restaurant, you tend to figure it'll either suck or be great. We have always found Longshots great.
google avatar

Arline S.

Yelp
Great food, great service, free drinks on your birthday! Server knows if you drive a semi or not, which is hilarious. Gives you custom attention like thst!

Don B.

Yelp
I have been coming to Longshots for about 3 yrs on every Thursday to listen to the blues and have a extra special meal. I have tried about everything on the menu without a failure. Vietnamese selection is great.

Brion L.

Yelp
Love this place. Last place you'd expect to find dank Vietnamese food. Try the lamb noodle bowl. Shawntell is literally the best. Live music absolutely shreds. Merm is cool too I guess. If you're not sure what to order, ask because this place slaps!
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
Just as awesome as it's always been!!! Still one of my fave hidden gems... what could be better?! Dive bar + the BeST Vietnamese food!!! Arguably in Denver... So so glad it's here when I'm passing though the ole stomping ground... memories Love this place SO much!
google avatar

Yvette K.

Yelp
I ordered the shrimp stuffed lamb for my dinner and it was fabulous! The lamb is spicy and juicy. It is served with cucumber slices and a yummy sauce as well as fresh peppermint, lettuce leaves and parsley. My DH got a cheese burger and onion rings. He wouldn't share , which means that it was magnificent. It's a worthwhile hole-in-a-wall.

Tom C.

Yelp
Long Shots is a relaxed location for lunch and an occasional dinner when working late. I have brought groups of two-to-four employees along from my small company for no-work-talk meals to break up the day. The noodle bowls and other gluten free Vietnamese dishes, together with more traditional American high calorie foods are great because everyone can have a delicious lunch they are really happy with, despite any dietary restrictions. Everybody can come. The music choices vary day to day, but classic 70's rock is always at least on deck. All of the waitresses are very nice and attentive, but in a relaxed way- all of them. We never feel as if we are being rushed. Kelly always has something nice or something really funny to say and she remembers our usual food and drink orders from visit to visit. She is part of the reason we choose to go there. We have been going to Long Shots for about two years now and we're happy we discovered it. The only hard thing is having to go back to work after lunch. Tom C.

Yelp
Came to the bar today and I saw a guy crying in the parking lot. Pretty random. Besides that I had great service and delicious burger five shots and two beers. For one day my life was better than the guy in the parking lot.

Dani P.

Yelp
Way to go longshots. Getting rid of your best bar tender for what? Bring Kelly back we miss her! She has the friendliest attitude, knows what you want, remembers your order after the first time. Wtf? I only went in there for her because you can't get a drink being a female in that bar with the night time crew. Been that way for years. Good job.

Manger A.

Yelp
Chicken Pad Thai since there wasn't any photos before I ordered ...............................................................
google avatar

Heather C.

Yelp
This place is amazing. This is a has the best Vietnamese bowels in Colorado. It's a hidden jewel. Cook has been their for over 25 years.
google avatar

Jeffrey C.

Yelp
The service was great the lady's look great very on top of things at all times good food two pool tables rookies invited
google avatar

Chuck S.

Yelp
I like this bar. The staff is friendly. The prices are reasonable. And the food is good. The Vietnamese sandwiches and the fried green beans are great. The problem is the cranky old cook. I ordered Pho with beef and shrimp and the waitress told me, "he won't do that." "You can only have beef or shrimp even though you are willing to pay the up charge." He apparently has a bunch of other unusual, quirky rules.
google avatar

Roy D.

Yelp
It's my first time here, and this place is awesome!!! The bartender welcomed me as though I was a customer coming in here for years.... the drinks were great/.. the food was good.i absolutely recommended this place to anyone looking for a friendly place to hang out at...
google avatar

Joseph C.

Yelp
I decided to try this place instead of eating at the nearby truck stop restaurant (I'm a driver), as it's barely a five minute walk away. WOW! A great selection of local, national and international beers (although they did seem to be a bit low on my favorite brown ales). I had the "Vietnamese Sandwich" with fried green beans, along with an order of fried mushrooms. All of it was excellent, but I have to point out: LONG SHOTS MAKES THE BEST FRIED MUSHROOMS ANYWHERE ON THE PLANET! Also, good, friendly service and the juke box(?) selections were uniformly perfect. Good beer, great food and service and a friendly atmosphere - I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Tyra T.

Yelp
Great freakin food and even better people!! Kelly and Susie and Brandy and Drew are AMAZING. I had the best time and will definitely be back!!
google avatar

Laurie L.

Yelp
Great food! We've recently added this to our lunch rotation. Their Vietnamese menu is awesome -- their tofu noodle bowl is stuffed with soooo many yummy veggies with a lovely, light sauce. Hamburgers are awesome. Lunch special Pho and noodle bowls are a LOT of food for a reasonable price. And happy hour is all day until 7 pm! Great ambience, friendly bartenders, clean. Eat and drink here!

Ben T.

Yelp
Drew is the shit!! my long time favorite place to eat, I don't care for all the extra service charges but you can't beat Drew and his staff!! I would give them 10 stars if I could. recommend just about everything on the menu for sure. I only have 7-8 things I truly eat but I have never had a bad experience when I have had something different.
google avatar

Tina M.

Yelp
Went here tonight at recommendation of a friend and it was some of the best Vietnamese food I've had. We had the stuffed chicken wings, pho and a noodle bowl. The lamb is really spicy but good. The stuffed wings were unique and tasty. The place was clean and waitress super friendly. Will come back soon.
google avatar

Azlima S.

Yelp
I live down the street from this bar, moved about 6 months ago. Now it's our fave neighborhood bar to go play pool or grab drinks. Food is awesome, especially the Vietnamese menu. Hard working kitchen. Fave bartenders are Chantel, Susie, Olivia, and Kelly Ann. The music is always on point also. No need to go to Denver for a great bar when you live in Wheat Ridge!
google avatar

Dennis P.

Yelp
Awesome bar and grill within walking distance from the west TA in Denver. You drivers that are too lazy to come check it out, don't know what your missing!!! Bartenders that are easy on the eyes and dynamite food as well!!! Best kept secret in wheatridge!!! Love this place, longing to be there again soon!!! Y'all take care, Mr Clean( aka Dennis) said hello !!!!
