Very accommodating spot as we sat in patio with our dog. Great ambience with picnic tables and umbrellas by the river. Great fried pickles and good beer. Inside also very authentic.

My girl and I came down from Waterbury Vermont to try something new! This place is quaint and fun and clean. The outdoor seating is so Vermont and the river out ack is open to all the patrons to sit in, play in and just be. There is a corn hole set too! Ali, our host, so cute and kind. Said how nice we looked ❤️ showed us right to our table by the river! Food is really good. The blackberry wheat BBQ sauce is something I have never had! It's amazing. I wish I had it in a bottle. 5 chicken tenders rolled in this sauce was super good. Nice tender meat and cooked perfectly. My girl got the steak and cheese and she equally felt her meal was excellent! Garlic aioli was delicious she says 😁 bread was soft and not like a boring plain sub roll, so it hugged the contents really well and kept the sandwich from falling apart! All the fries were fun and crunchy... I liked this. All the food came out hot and fresh. Shout-out to Bob our server, Ali out front and Hillary in the back 🤗 Great job you guys. Will come again.

Opens at 12 pm. We arrived at 12 pm. There were already more than 10 groups ahead of us! 😅 There is an outdoor seating area where dogs are allowed.

Great vibes, great beer and great bar food! This was such a gem we stumbled upon while visiting the area during a ski trip. A local merchant in Woodstock, the neighboring town, suggested this spot for casual dining and good beer. It did not disappoint! There was table seating and high top tables and bar seating, something for everyone. The staff was super friendly and took great care of us! Don’t miss this spot if you’re in the area and love a brewery!

What a great meal. Had salad special Stick Season Salad and everything was fresh and more than enough to eat. Calamari lightly breaded and tender. Dipping sauce not my favorite but a light spray of fresh lemon was just as good. Hot dog was good, plenty of crispy French fries and the cheddar beer sauce made it even better. Service quick. Tried the Trailside Lager. Would highly recommend with a meal. Free parking in lot front of building.

We got lunch and some beers during our visit; a serene place to dine and sip on beers. The parking lot was huge. Their food and beer menu is seasonal but there are year-round beers. For lunch, I had a Long Trail cheddar burger; this comes on a round roll with Cabot cheddar, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and special sauce (almost like spicy mayo). Wow the burger was perfectly made and so scrumptious. I didn't need to put the sauce on, I used it to dip my fries, also good. As for their beers, I tried out the Blackbeary Wheat and the Harvest maple brown ale; both were great. The food and beers were delicious and my family and I enjoyed our time there. Our server Alyssa was friendly and attentive! After, we walked along the river and relaxed at the beer garden after, such a cool place.

Do stop and have a beer here, many on tap and lots of Vermont brewing swag in a cool atmosphere. Skip the food, it’s overpriced and not very good. The servers are pleasant and attentive. There’s plenty of parking and the outdoor seating areas are dog friendly.

What a neat place!! Wish we were in town a wee bit longer, as we would surely return. Jordan did a wonderful job taking care of us. She and the rest of the staff were all welcoming. Our dinner started off with a fantastic corn and haddock chowder for me, a white bean chili for husband. Wow! These could have been a meal all their own. Delicious! Husband tried the four beer flight and found a new favorite. The Double Bag beer was a huge hit. I had a terrific burger, husband enjoyed the Black Beary Wheat Grilled Cheese. He really enjoyed his also. There was music playing on the deck which was so good. The grounds have games, chairs on the lower level and a stream running right out back which you can walk in. Short drive from the heart of Woodstock and we would HIGHLY recommend it! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Yes, yes, and yes! Long Trial edges to 4.5, maybe more imo. Came here after snowmobling adventure on xmas eve. Our waitress was Ally (Al Pal) who was freakin awesome. So already we are in a good spot. I got a flight. I was blown away by nearly every beer I tried was a real winner..like I would drink each one as a pint. Amazing flavor, truly. If I was forced to pick the winner it was Vermont Hazy. Wow, that good. We ordered a soft pretzel with their sauce, and their buffalo spinach dip which was incredible (Served with nacho chips). We loved the vibe, the beer for sure...so good I had to memorialize it with a t shirt. Score!

This place is very lively. The staff were friendly and really took care of us. I sat indoors but the outdoor seating looked great. They have a great selection of beers but also have root beer floats and wine. The fried pretzels were good and the sauce is spicy. I really enjoyed the root beer float. I will definitely come back when I visit in the winter.

Hard to beat the location on the deck, along the Ottauquechee, with a trail down to the river, and a few yard games set up. Really nice inside too, with a big inviting bar and cool decor. Obviously all of LT's finest brews on tap, and a nice variety of food for a brewery. I wish it were open a little later Sunday-Wednesday; 6pm is pretty early to wrap it up for dinner. I'll be back!

Stopped by long trail after a day on the mountain at Killington. Always a great time. Easy to park, quick service, and great food and drink. We ordered a Rueben and cheeseburger both came with a side of fries. The food was delicious and fresh. The limbo IPA is a must try. After all the years of coming to long trail this is my first time reviewing them and you will not be disappointed. The service is great everyone is friendly and just so laid back. I do recommend on weekends making a reservation as it can get busy after the mountain closes for the day. Pricing is fair for Vermont nothing too overpriced. Parking is super easy as they have a very large lot outside. Only complaint I have is they did not sell the limbo IPA by itself and it only comes in a mixed variety pack. Otherwise long trial is a must try!

Riverside dining. Really good food and service. I enjoyed the VT IPA, and the haddock po boy. Highly recommend

Stopped in for lunch while driving around, had a bit of a wait but everything there was great. We tried the blackberry wheat beer and the homemade root beer. The blackberry wheat bbq sauce on the wings was amazing! I had grilled chicken panini, which was excellent and my husband enjoyed the bratwurst sub. They have an outside seating area and a big area inside, I think they have live music. Would definitely recommend stopping in!

One of us a big fan of Long Trail beer so when we were in Vermont, this place were a must place for us to visit. The staff here were very friendly. Our waitress were great. She was polite and friendly. The food were pretty good. It's a great place for you to eat and have a beer with friends especially if you are a fan of their beer.

Long trail was a pleasant surprise! We grabbed our stout and IPA and found great seats right by the river in the back! Watched as adults and children skipped ricks and put their toes in the water! It helped that the weather was great! No music but nice vibe with porch seating and a corn hole area.

Beers are good but the server needs to work on being more engaged with the customers I would go back for the beer but be more aware who is serving the beers

Naww. I have watched this place go from great to mehhh. The Ambiance is always consistently great. The food and menu are okay. The beer selection has gone downhill. So in the food and drink dept they are overpriced. The service and ambiance make this a good place to go. I would say that if I were traveling with kids it's the best kid friendly brewery/pub between Rutland and West Leb. Being on the river makes Long Trail stand out. The service has always been really good.

Wait staff poor wait for order one and half hours plus onion rings good sandwiches average but maybe based upon how long we had to wait noise level over the top

Mac and Cheese was great. Also ordered Nachos with Chili on top, nachos were so-so; definitely not the best I ever had and I probably wouldn't order again. Ordered a flight of beers; all very good. Service was excellent and fast. We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. A little loud inside, but it was extremely busy and the noise can be expected.

I continue to love Long Trail Brewery and usually stop by when I'm visiting my sister in VT. The taproom has plenty of seating. There is an area outside overlooking the River that is particularly pretty and very relaxing. There is also a larger area in the front of the brewery with picnic tables. We've sat at the bar several times and had stellar service from Roger. The food continues to be top notch. And, of course, the beer is very good. There is frequently live music. The menu has recently been expanded and I am looking forward to trying some new deliciousness while sipping a delicious brew. There is plenty of parking. The restroom is clean. If it wasn't for our server Ian this would have been an easy 4 stars. Ian really set this place apart from a lot of other breweries. His recommendations were amazing and he even mentioned that he makes the sauerkraut in the bratwurst sandwich (it was delicious). The brewery itself is nestled in one of the most beautiful places I have seen for a brewery. Between mountains and a small stream with views of all these from the outside eating area. Really really special. The IPAs here were spectacular also. The Hazy Juic'd IPA was so good that we almost went over our baggage weight just to get a 6 pack home to Fort Lauderdale. The pretzel doesn't come with a beer cheese like most breweries, HOWEVER, they have a cheese soup on the menu that was heavenly. Paired with the pretzel, crazy good. A must try combo for sure. The brat was good too, the sauerkraut on it really shined. Plenty of parking too!

My family and I recently visited VT, and stopped by here to try some local brews. We got 2 flights with all different brews so that we could try lots of different flavors. We all shared and voted for our favorites. The winners were the hard cider, limbo IPA, shed mountain ale and the long trail ale. Honestly all of them were good. It was fun trying a variety. For food we got the pretzel and the hummus platter. We brought our dog along and got to enjoy our food and drink in their sugar shed. We got to stay for 2 hours and played cards and games with each other while enjoying the treats with our furry friend. If you're in the area I would definitely recommend stopping by!

This brewery is so cute on the outside and inside. The aesthetics very much blend in with the surrounding mountain towns. We walked in and there was live music. There are also sugar huts you can reserve for small parties. The beers we ordered were pretty good, however, the food was awful. The queso was grainy and barely warm, served with extremely hard tortilla chips. DO NOT order the "charcuterie board or summit spread." The menu describes it as a selection of meats and cheeses, BOTH plural. We got a measly plate with 3 stale crackers, 1 grimy meat, a handful of craisins and pumpkin seeds, and 2 cheeses. That's it. The board cost a whopping $22 for rabbit food. Was very disappointed with the food considering the mountainside atmosphere and potential of surrounding area. Overall, this establishment had extreme potential, but fell very short to the expectation we had.

Big IPA guy here. Long Trail was on our way over to Killington for the annual Spartan race. We stopped here because it is dog friendly, the food looked (and was) great, and it has an outdoor patio right on the Ottouquechee River. We both got sandwiches to go with our beers that our server helped us pick out for both our full pints and our flight. 5/5 on the jerk chicken sandwich!

Stopped here for lunch. Ordered a beer tasting flight from the seasonal menu. I usually like the wheat beers, but the blueberry Wheat was didn't impress me. Really liked the Harpoon Cider and Double Bag, as the Cider was not too sweet and the double bag was double the malt, not as I thought was double the hop. Bought a pack to take home for the Hubby. Food wise, our teenager said it was the beat burger ever (he had the Long Trail Burger with cheese). His mom liked the arugula salad and I liked my chicken wings with Yaki Sauce! They will have live music on Thursdays from 5-7. Kitchen is closed by 7pm so get your act together!

We we planning to have pitstop over here but ended up having a great and memorable time! The brewery is located at the bank of a sallow river with a big deck seating! They a huge seating for guests with pet! My toddler couldn't stop playing with the water! Hahah! But we had a great refreshing IPA and drinks. The food is pretty delicious and everything comes in family size portions live music added to the experience! What else you would ask for. Pretty reasonably priced good food ! A perfect place for a perfect summer day

My oh my has this place grown! If you like craft beer then you must stop by. Long Trail has some darn good brews with their IPAs being king. There are other options for you non-IPAers and ciders to. If it is a nice day order from the outside bar and head to the river. It was hot the day we visited and we really enjoyed standing in the cool river enjoying our beer. There is also a large covered patio. Hungry? There are dining options. Be sure to pick up some Long Trail swag on the way out.

Foods great, a pub menu. They should bring back the cheese soup and also the bratwurst meal! The inside is a fun atmosphere. Outside they have covered seating at picnic tables. Next to the river is an area with tables and chairs with umbrellas that are designated for dogs. That was great! The beer is always great!

Great ambience both indoors and outdoors! Reliably savory food and excellent service!! I came here 6 years ago over the summer and enjoyed outdoor seating by the river, played some lawn games. It was the perfect quintessential backyard setting. I recalled I had the wings that were so crunchy and meaty. Had to get them again this time and they didn't disappoint! My group split a couple cheddar ale soups (a bowl for 2 people was perfect for us). So creamy, almost like a cheese fondue. Had some carrots in it too. Yum! It was a great starter that paired really well with my beer (a lighter beer on tap with coffee notes...can't recall the name though!). Service was very accommodating and didn't rush us. I had our baby with us and our server was always one step ahead to help out, whether hanging up my coat on the coat rack or getting the high chair ready. This will surely be a tradition each time we're in the area!

Great spot!! Stopped in here while in Vermont at Killington. The service was excellent. Really nice and attentive server. Knew the beers well and gave great recommendations. Food was great too. Pricey place but worth it! Their beers are excellent, but my favorite is still the original amber!

We've gone here twice - once pre-COVID and one just this past month (Jan 2022). Pre-COVID I recall enjoying the food and vibe around dinnertime. However when we returned to Vermont this year, we discovered they closed at 6:00 so we had to squeeze in a quick trip after skiing in Okemo during the day. The menu seemed slimmed down or different than what I recalled. A week later, I honestly forget what I got but I think it was a burger and fries that were fine but not memorable. The primary reason to visit this spot is the beer - they have a nice variety and great IPAs. It is a bit off the beaten path, but it's worth the trip if you are a beer lover and want to check another brewery off your list.

super cute spot. very very nice employees. we stopped in for drinks. i wanted food but not one else was hungry yet. the food items looks very good and are reasonably priced. all food items i saw other guest eat looked great !

Visited many times in the past. No issues with the food but I did have an issue with arriving at 2PM on a Friday and needing a reservation to sit. I don't have an issue with making reservations but I do when it's a brewery in the middle of the afternoon (during the week). I guess long gone are the days when you can just arrive and enjoy. We were able to be seated (thank you) at a table in the tented area but when we asked about moving to an outside table that was empty ( there were many) we were told they were reserved. We sat through the meal and when leaving most of those table were still empty. Based on this I probably won't return as I don't travel with that much focus on arriving at a scheduled time (outside dinner). Sorry but you lost me when you became a place you need to book ahead on a weekday afternoon - you aren't that special....

Our group was there this past Saturday and the hostess, Ali, was amazing!! So nice with our walk up group in getting us a great table outside despite how crowded it was on a fall Saturday. Thanks, Ali - and our favorite beer was the Vermont IPA!

Overall I had an okay experience. The highlights of this place is the location and the servers and people working there. We had a very friendly server who was very helpful walking us through the beer and food menus. The guys working behind the merch counter were great. They did an excellent job explaining all of the products and the differences/uniqueness of each beer. The food was just okay, which shouldn't be a shock at a brewery. We started with the Pretzel with Cheese Sauce. The pretzel was nothing to write home about, but the cheese sauce was good. My wife had the BYOB. Her burger was "fine" as she described it. Nothing spectacular, but tasty. I got the Fried Chicken Sandwich with Buffalo Sauce. The chicken was fine, but nothing really stood out about it. My wife had the CBD Seltzer that was recently released. She enjoyed it, so much so, we bought a couple of 4-packs as we were leaving. I tried the sampler and got the Double Bag Ale, Summer Ale, Barrel Aged Triple Bag and Blackberry Wheat. All were good beers. The Barrel Aged Triple Bag had the full scent and flavor of the Bourbon barrels they were aged in.

Ian gave great service! "Ski The East" came out recently, make sure you stock up (limited supplies), luckily it's also on tap (so bring a growler)! Freshness guaranteed! Appetizer: Fried Pickles are delicious with the Sriracha Mayo (CAUTION: this is ONLY for spicy lovers , which I highly recommend) but you can substitute if needed. COVID: Mask mandate, reservations are highly needed

Pretty cool place- tons of parking and somehow I missed the upstairs lookout where you can see the production down below. That would've been cool. Also it was the dead of winter so we couldn't indulge in the beautiful riverside location (can't blame the brewery for the weather/seasons). We were seated fast and couldn't decide what we wanted to try, so of course a flight is always the best option. Bummer is you can only pick their 2 flight options- no making your own, which was kind of annoying. We were lucky the gose wasn't currently on tap (only can) so that was replaced with another. However for not being a fan of gose-style beers, my grandma received a free sample (from a mistake) of the gose which was actually pretty good! Didn't have any sour finish and was sweeter than expected. My husband and I shared 2 flights, which I am still bummed I couldn't choose my own. Overall the beer was good but not anything special, something else I was bummed about. However, we bought some B.A. Unearthed to go and woa it was amazing!!!! Pint-worthy. For food, I got the falafel burger with cheesy ale soup, my husband got the fish and chips and my grandma the loaded nachos. Mine was okay- nothing too crazy and not a whole lot of flavor- the soup was delicious and rich, though. My husband and grandma loves their meals. The portions were great. Also, our waitress was awesome. Very friendly and outgoing and on top of it all. There is a "store" on the way in/out and you can buy beer by the singles or packs, other souvenirs and fill a growler.

Nice, airy brewery and restaurant. We put our name down for lunch, and we got seated about 30 minutes after. There is a constant flow of people at the bar, and many are waiting to be seated for meals, but I appreciate that we didn't feel rushed at any point. Maybe a bit packed in at some point. Lots of families and groups. It's a comfortable spot where folks can stay a while. Even in the late fall, they had a heated area that maintained a good overflow of people waiting to sit in the main dining areas. They have about 12 beers on tap, with two permutations of 4-beer flights. They were pretty generous about letting us taste the beers, too. I got the chicken tenders. Sure, it's pretty hard to mess up chicken tenders, but they were good!

Wonderful rest stop and leg stretch on our road trip from NY to NH. 10:10 would recommend this cheerful, laid back brewery. Very chill folks here from diners to employees. We made a reservation but they are not required.

Limited menu. Cheese was piled on just one layer of nachos so thick it didn't even melt. $18 chicken Cesar salad had nothing to it, pale lettuce one small chicken strip cut up. Good beer, terrible food

We had to have gone on the busiest day in history. Since it was my first time, I just assumed it was always so busy but even the employees looked like they were scared. We ended up just drinking here and not eating because of the two hour wait times, but this was my favorite brewery that I visited. Maybe because it was my first one in VT and I had a great time with the company I was with. Hell, I couldn't tell you what I drank, other than I was feeling alright after 3. The staff, even though they were all rushing around were all very pleasant and happy to help. I had to elbow some folks to get a beer a couple of times, but it was worth it. Cheers Long Trail! For making what I thought was going to be a miserable wait for a table to an awesome day drinking session!

I ended up at Long Trail with a huge group of friends (about 16 of us) after a day at Killington. The host seated us almost immediately (we just had to wait for some of our group to arrive) and everyone from the host to our server to the guy selling swag was incredibly nice. We waited at the bar for our friends to arrive and the bartender allowed us to taste beers before ordering. The beer menu is a bit IPA heavy which isn't my favorite but their other ales and winter specials were really good. We also tried their CBD seltzers which were delicious (the jury is out on how much it helps anxiety though)! I ordered the cheddar ale soup which was really good but definitely very rich. It was like drinking a bowl of melty cheese, which is delicious but heavy. But what else do you expect from cheddar ale soup? Gotta get that Vermont Cheddar! The soup came with oyster crackers but I would've loved it with some bread. Other friends had the poutine and wings and said positive things. Fun night! Would definitely go back.

Long Trail in central Vermont, brews some hefty - the buzz will creep up on you like an avalanche - type beers. Brews thick not dark, like a Guinness. Most are IPAs or lighter, but it's the IBU alc% that kicks you over the edge! It's Vermont - I forgot how hard Vermonters and New Hampshireites drink. Rebel view: 4 star K.O.

I've been here a few times over the last few years. I've always enjoyed hanging out having some good food and beers. I could see where beer geeks might not like the vibe of the place. There's no real tour. It's self guided and there is no insider information. To the craft purists, they probably view this as a larger brewery and the establishment. It's never stopped me from having fun there, personally. The brewery is set on an excellent piece of land. There's a gorgeous stream in the back that you can wander off too. As a matter, I've removed my shoes and gone right in. They have outside seating where you can enjoy a beer of your choice and a full menu. For me, the beer is good but it's also the experience. It's a really nice outdoorsy, Vermont experience. You're not stuck inside an old factory or pin shop. It's a beautiful open space and a great experience.

Now 5 stars for 1 beer may seem odd, but I've been here many of times and just don't have any pictures. this place is awesome for a delicious brew. All beer lovers, calling your name! I've tried a few but have fallen in love with the 9year bourbon barrel aged stout, which had so many complex notes that came together to craft the most tasty drink. Sweet notes paired with light hops, a deep flavor and silky texture made for a seriously good beer. I should have purchased some to go, because now that I'm home in Jersey it's all I can think about! Super cool place to hang out and enjoy the river view or even weather permitting hang outside by the fire. It's gorgeous. You can even walk into the room where they make the beer and take a small tour to learn all about it. They also have some great merchandise, and lots of parking.

A great spot not only for beer but for food too! We came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was hopping. We started with an order of nachos, which were tasty, but nothing to write home about. My boyfriend had a flight, which was a great way to try four different beers. I ordered a Cranberry Gose sour beer, which was delicious and refreshing. For our entree, we split The Vermonter -- a turkey sandwich with stuffing, cheddar and cranberry aioli made from the Cranberry Gose. The sandwich tasted like Thanksgiving -- it was awesome! We loved the service and the atmosphere too. There's a stream that runs behind the brewery and you can enjoy a drink outside or inside. Highly recommend!

This place is huge. They have inside seating, outside seating and observation deck. The beer pouring station is really cool looking. A great selection of beers and 1 we ended up taking home in a 6 pack. We had the wings which had 4 different heat selections. They we so tasty. Great place to pullover for a beer and food after a day of skiing.
