Longdan Shoreditch

The girl at the till did not have the right attitude. I was only asked her to help me find the item. it was 16:02, when i was at the till, incase you (the manager) need to check the cctv. I dont think shes enjoying the job.

This is the second time Im buying tofu from longdan that is off. Its sourt and when you touch the tofu block it feels like slimy.

Called in hoping to find some seitan but could'nt find any & the staff had no idea what it was . I might have bought some tempeh but I thought that the chiller cabinet was barely cool & I did'nt like the look of the tempeh. Fairly scruffy interior.

Been walking by loads and not sure why I never went in to explore. It’s like candy shop for Asian food enthusiasts. I am by no means pro in choosing Asian foods but store is good size and well organised with labels in English to understand what things are. Staff was not intrusive and let me wonder through the isles and explore variety of each products. Lots of instant noodles, spices and essential ingredients as frozen goods and small section of fresh veggies for cooking at home. There is a small section with utensils and little bowls for serving ramen and such. Definitely returning!

decent stock but prices are not the most reasonable and customer service is really poor - cashier is on the phone the whole time I was checking out and just crosses his arms and doesn't bother helping to pack items :S

Nice supermarket. Impressive selection of asian food and every condiment you can imagine. Found a wide selection of frozen dumplings and got myself some Korean dumplings which I’ve had overseas.

I love Longdan, it is my go to for any sort of East/South Eastern Asian groceries I need. Also, if I ever need help with something the staff is always happy to help and very friendly. My one issue is that the prices can be pretty steep when compared to other similar supermarkets. Updated review (3 years later): dropped from 4 stars to 2. There has been a noticeable change in this Longdan. There is always stock thrown everywhere making it difficult to traverse through and there is no clear pricing on a lot of the items, so many have no labels at all or are mislabeled. Also, for many items, when you check the online stock it indicates they are available at this location, however, when you go in they don't have the items. The entire shop is in disarray and the newer staff have no clue about any of the products. I've stopped going there now as often as I used to.
