Longer Than Summer is one of Hanoi’s most unique and intimate hidden bars. Discreetly tucked behind an unmarked door, it feels more like discovering a secret world than simply going out for a drink. The interior is moody, elegant, and effortlessly cool perfect for a quiet night out or a special date. There’s no printed menu here instead, the bartender will ask a few questions about your preferences and craft a personalized gin-based cocktail just for you. Each drink is thoughtful, beautifully balanced, and presented with care. It’s a refreshing change from the typical bar experience. The space is quite limited, so reservations are essential. If you’re looking for something refined, intimate, and unforgettable in Hanoi’s nightlife scene, Longer Than Summer is a must visit.

The persistence it took to find this little gem tucked in an alley by St Joseph’s Cathedral was well worth it! Thank goodness AB (the owner) left corporate to start Longer than a Summer. The cocktails are well dosed and yummy, and the vibe is vibing. Do drop by if you’re ever in Hanoi!

Had a pretty awesome night here. They were spinning vinyl records. Felt like they owned every classic album ever made. The music vibe? totally spot on. There was a long-haired bartender who was super chill, cracked a few jokes and somehow knew everything abt music and booze. The drinks were great too. They asked me what I liked and gave really good suggestions 👍 All in all, 10/10 night. I walked out feeling super satisfied 😎

A great place if you seek for an intimate bar. It's not just about the drinks, it's a lifestyle, a culture. They have a great collections of vinyls, great taste of music. P/s: They will have dresscode there, shorts, tank top, flipflop/sandal are not allowed. Make sure to send them a text before you come.

A very much hidden place! Do text them on Instagram or Facebook to reserve and check for seating before going and they will guide you in. Do note on the dress code requirement and that smoking is allowed indoors. The almost perfect drinks made up for it and of course the warm hospitality and sheer delishhhhhhhh of old fashioned and bees knees. Just wow

This place is a heaven for me personally. The ambience is great (super dark, not everyone will like it) and they have a few rules you need to follow. But this place has been added to "must visit" places in Hanoi. Please, if you love music and drinks, I beg you please visit once.

There’s a dress code: please dont wear shorts, slippers, flip-flops or sport wear. They only accept cash or bank transfer. There’s no menu. Pls respect the space so talk softly and no wifi so talk to each other. We enjoyed ourselves here and the music. We went at 6pm so we have the space to ourselves. They introduced us to Vietnamese music and bands but at 730pm, they will start to dim the lights and play jazz music. Though it is not easy to find, we truly enjoyed our time here. Fantastic drinks and conversation with the bartenders. We will definitely be back again when back in Hanoi.

Best bar in Hanoi so far - great atmosphere and great music. Foreigners friendly but this is not your tourist spot. Do not expect a rowdy bar just for good drink, you are in for the smokes, the darkness, the style and the atmosphere. Drinks are excellent.
