Loved my stop at Longfellow’s Coffee! The iced cinnamon dolce latte was amazing. It was the perfect blend of coffee to sweetness. The bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant was cooked perfectly. They make their breads there so I think I would have enjoyed a bagel better. But overall a great vibe and friendly staff. And they have this chart of all the baristas top picks which is cool - Definitely coming back!

We stopped in at Longfellow’s during our trip and were not disappointed! Their selection of house-made syrups is wonderful and not to mention delicious! I got the brown sugar cinnamon and it was so good. The food is so fresh and seasoned perfectly! Also the staff was very welcoming and helpful with anything we needed! I would definitely stop by again!

This place is so impressive. They make their own breads and pastries and syrups, they have creative smoothies and lattes, great omelets and sandwiches - if you get a breakfast sandwich you need to get it on their foccacia!! I'm very picky when it comes to cafes and this is high on my list. They even have a cash discount.

Color me impressed! This delightful coffee shop has a very hole-in-the-wall vibe as you walk in, but we were blown away by the service and options available! The breakfast and pastries were made it house (and delicious) and the drinks were perfection; I got a matcha date smoothie and others in my group enjoyed cold brew and a chagaccino. Best side of the road stop we could've made, highly recommend 🙌

This is the best coffee house my son and I have ever been to. The counter staff and cooks are all great. Sophie and Eleni are especially sweet and helpful. Sophie makes the best coffees and it’s nice to have good conversation. I also wanted to shoutout Dylan. He holds down the front counter on his own and he’s always polite. He makes a delicious chai with lavender. Which is one of my faves. Everything, I’ve had is excellent. The sandwiches are nicely made. My fave is the croissant, egg, cheddar cheese & Taylor ham. It tastes great and not greasy like others I’ve bought at other places. They also have a really good homemade chicken soup. Almost forgot to mention their scones and hot chocolate are delicious. Oh and my puppy loves their pup cups. It’s a small place but a nice lil coffee house feel. Glad, I discovered it. 😁

First time visit, stopped in on my way to a car service appointment. Drip coffee was excellent (smooth, flavorful, and perfect temp). Also got an egg and cheese on a roll, which was expertly made and delicious. Bonus points for having cheddar cheese. I wish this place was closer to me!

Very quaint and quirky place. Service was quick and the space is very inviting. Had a walnut banana muffin which was perfect! And the avocado on focaccia toast was delish. I added a friend egg on top and it brought it all together. I also had a veggie sandwich with salad and that was also very yummy. Coffee was good but nothing too out of the ordinary. And since I ate in would have loved to get my food in actual plates and not to go containers. If you’re in the area stop by.

Fabulous service. Good food, delicious smoothie. $13.50 for a sandwich and $9.30 for a smoothie... no sides. BUT $35 for lunch??? After they charged me 3.5% for using my credit card (without mentioning it), I stupidly added a 15% tip. And there ya have it. Maybe don't tip if you're being charged a fee for paying the way everyone pays in the 21st century-or just plan to spend too much if you want any food here. That said, food is delicious.

I absolutely love their house-made syrups (so many flavors). And trust me on this - order the bacon!!! It's this deliciousness of crispy and dry (not slimy/greasy). Hard to explain what makes it so good but they cook it in a two step process. You need to put it in your mouth. You're welcome. Plus the service is ultra friendly.

Coffee is good and like they offer a dark roast option. Decent prices and parking lot in front. We got a scone and it wasn't anything to write home about but to be fair I'm not a big scone fan. I will try their other options. Very small inside.

Absolutely love this little coffee and tea spot! I've come here multiple times now when getting my car serviced next door or just passing by for how conveniently located it is. My go to is a green tea with lavender syrup whether it's served hold or cold. Their iced tea lemonade is must try during the summer! I personally love their matcha latte and turmeric latte. Service here is super patient and laid back even when busy. I have yet to explore the food and pastries here but will definitely update my review once I have. The only downside here is how small the parking lot is and tight the spots are for all the businesses in the lot. Especially during the summer months when the ice cream shop is open very difficult to get parking.

Super friendly staff. A cool little place. Look for the Ice Cream store or you can easily drive past it. It shares the entrance with the dry cleaner next door. Great coffee and the Jerseyan egg sandwich was fantastic with scrambled egg and thick bacon. I am seldom in the area but would love to come back. I was tired and missed the specials board. Otherwise I would have got one of the seasonal specials. Sorry no pictures. This is one of the hidden gems I like so much. Now reading the other reviews I could kick myself for not getting a pumpkin latte... too early, too hungry after a long ride so not my fault. Thank you for the morning caffeine rescue!

A nice little local sweet spot for a cup of coffee or danish. They also have smoothies and other items on the menu. They do have a few small tables if you want to sit and enjoy some time to relax. Overall a good experience.

What a delightful discovery! We stayed at the Sheraton Crossroads just before Christmas and wanted to find a non-chain coffee shop nearby. A quick Yelp search brought up Longfellow's Coffee. Long story short, we went back for our morning coffee 4 days in a row! They offer espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, freshly-baked pastries, and more. The temperature outside was in the 30s during our visit so we only tried hot lattes - the espresso was smooth and easy to drink. But the peanut butter smoothie is something I'll try if we're back there in warmer months. We also enjoyed the freshly-baked-in-house banana bread and scone - both well-balanced and not overly sweet. Besides the tasty treats, we really appreciated the warm, friendly service and the hip little interior showcasing art by local artists. Do check out this cute local spot when you're in the Mahwah area.

I have a gluten allergy and ordered my sandwhich on GF cauliflower bread. Only to realize halfway through that it definitely wasn't cauliflower or gf bread. When i called all the women said was "sorry" and then told me that i should have specified there was a gluten allergy. she made the sand which on regular bread after paying extra for cauliflower bread and it clearly saying "GF"

Good coffee. Even better pastries. Get the apple crumb muffin! Super friendly service. I hope to come back again :)

As a long fellow myself... oh you Dawg... my qualifications to review this lovely shop are more than abundant. I'll preface this relatively petite review by sanctifying myself cleansed of any caffeine in my blood stream. Yes you read that right, I don't drink coffee. No tea. No need. I don't need it. I roll out of bed like an armadillo/jackal hybrid. Opportunistic yet conservatively defensive, beloved yet haunting, deceptive yet all aboveboard. Rapid and fortified brain once the sun rises over the demanding and historic Ramapo Mountains. Longfellow has done no wrong in my presence. I specifically would like to compliment a few of their items. I do so enjoy all of their baked goods (little known fact I am a feverish fan of scones and they make some lovely moist and fluffy ones.) Smoothies made so smooth and nutritiously with the choice to infuse some protein for my juicy and jacked up musculature. Such a strong boy. Their breakfast sandwiches are creative and customizable. But "Da Bell of Da Ball" is their lunch item customizable sandwiches. Great fresh mozz, pesto, caramelized onions... all at a coffee shop? Stop! Don't tell me what to do. So sick of it from the peanut gallery I should just hang it up, no appreciation on this app anymore... anyways! The cauliflower flat bread is a goooooo-toooooo. Hashtag Health, Hashtag yet still so dang delicious. Focaccia! I can't (you can) go wrong... (my food combos and overall taste are unmatched and I don't trust you all to not mess around too much with all these endless possibilities.) Impressive spot, especially for it's stature. Now I shall tap two fingers to my supinated elbow and hit a high pitched Sheeeesh to signify my approval and allow my review to be relatable and retained but all generations. Hip. Whatever. Get out of here I'm so sick of you all, enjoy this certified elite content.

Great place to work and delicious sandwiches! I spent 2 hours here and the staff were kind enough to make it a easy place to take a long work call.

Having lived in the area for almost six months, I'm not sure what took me so long to visit! I really enjoyed the comprehensive yet easy to read menu, where you can bulls your own sandwich, choose from a variety of smoothies, or just grab a bagel and go! But, I preferred it toasted with cream cheese, delicious! And if you're looking to go outside your box, just try a barista pick! Thank you, Lika, for the delicious oatmilk chai with lavender and vanilla and thank you, Tara, for your wonderful customer service! I will definitely be back, and look forward to trying many more wonderfully unique combinations!!

From the outside I for some reason was not expecting much from this place, but it is fantastic. We had coffee and egg sandwiches on a weekend morning. The coffee was very good, as you might expect from an establishment with "coffee" in the name, but the egg sandwiches were freaking awesome. They have a ton of unusual (and largely very healthy) options for sandwich additions, like sautéed spinach, fresh mozzarella, pesto, even squash. Many bread choices, too. The food is made to order- no dry microwaved sandwiches here- so you have to wait a little bit, but it's well worth it. (For something quicker, the oatmeal looked really tempting, too.) The people who work here are also ridiculously nice. (Like what-kind-of-happy-pills-are-they-on-because-I-want-some kind of nice.) If I lived nearby I would 1000% be a regular.

This is a small coffee shop in Mahwah with a hipster vibe. The shop is nicely decorated and plays nice coffee shop music . The employees are very nice. Drinks/pastries : eh not crazy about the drink I got. I ordered a caramel macchiato and it was very watery & for a small $5. I wouldn't order it again. It wasn't bad enough to order a new drink but not good enough to order again or make me want to visit again. I had a blondie with the coffee and it was very dry. Again not something I would have again. I would be willing to give other things on the menu a shot. While drinking my coffee I noticed a sign saying they have CBD in their products. Honestly everyone has their own opinion on this. Not sure how I feel about their products having it. I do wish they would be more clear about which products do and don't. The sign is clear that it has great benefits but can also cause side effects. Honestly to each their own but I would rather not have it in my coffee or pastries if it is not necessary. Again considering Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks are less than 5 mins away I would probably go there instead but I would be willing to try something else to see if other things are better.

Pay attention, or you may miss this place as a first timer, cool , creative looking place with nice people behind the counter. Ordered the Taylor ham and cheese on half baguette,it was well toasted & melted but a bit dry & skimpy for my taste. Next time, I'll ask for the bread to be buttered and more meat! They do charge extra for each meat when building your own sandwich. They seem supportive of other businesses, which showed in display all over shop. They sell homemade products and display business stickers & adverts from others. There is art for sale from locals and a sticker wall encouraging your uniqueness. Oh yea they have board games!. Chai latte actually pretty good just wish it was stronger ( Chai and espresso shot). In my short time there was clear they have regulars and I can see why. In the end, would visit again

Not clean, baked goods not fresh, no pace to sit comfortably. The cappuccino was ok. I wouldn't recommend for meeting anyone.

This place is fantastic. We had breakfast this morning of The New Yorker and Avocado toast plus smashed potato. Everything was well above what i was expecting. Masterfully done breakfast sandwiches. Well worth the price for something you can take out. We will definitely be back. Cheers to the chef.

Just was visiting the town and wanted to stop to eat brunch. I saw this place had great reviews so came in! I did assume it was a little bigger with some tables to eat but mostly just a small cafe (it's completely okay though!!!) My chai latte was absolutely delicious and comforting. I ordered their New Yorker and my friend has the Jersey, both sandwiches were so good we devoured them and did not get a single photo. I thought they were big and so flavorful. Might drive back just to stop here again! Service was great and I even bought one of the paintings they had on the wall of local artists! Very cute place!

First timers! Here for a wedding ... decided to stop by and grab some food and coffee. Read the reviews and everyone seemed to be raving about how it's their go-to spot instead of DD or Starbs. And I completely understand why! We got the cold brew with a shot of espresso with strawberry cold foam. I got the smashed bowl which was FREAKING AMAZING!!!! Craving it as I type this out and you can add anything to the bowl, highly recommend. We will be back on our next visit to Jersey. Service was great- I love how the workers know all their local customers. Very friendly. And the coffee shop gave a great hipster vibe. And I love how they played Taylor swift for the first 20 minutes of us being there

Very nice place, the bread pudding loaf was very good, the employees were very kind, and my drink was made very fast! Nice location and the topped lavender outside is very decorative.

We customized our bagel sandwich and it was amazing! They had a ton of options to choose from and the ingredients were very fresh. The bagel was delicious! Just be prepared - there's not much room to eat there so you'll likely have to take it to go.

This place is amazing. The food is fresh and delicious. The coffee is outstanding and there is GREAT variety. Wow, just what Mahwah/suffern needed. If you're tired of the same old breakfast route you've been going down every weekend for the past 30 years, then this is THE PLACE to shake it up for some great quality, relaxed food. Try them. Let me start off by saying this place is amazing, my favorite drink is the Caramel Cheese Cake Smoothie. What I love about this place more is that the staff always seem to educate me about certain products they sell. When I wasn't to sure about something, they will help me by giving me recommendations. The only thing I wish if the place was bigger, if they have events like comedy night. But overall I love everything about the place. I usually call it Hipster Starbucks instead of Long Fellow's Coffee

This place is super good!! Really cute inside and huge menu! Food is great and when it comes to coffee they can make you literally whatever you want! The staff working there was SO friendly and polite, 100% will be back!

Heard about this hometown favorite that we knew we had to check out and were glad we did. The service was great with call ahead and reasonable times. Easily the best breakfast sandwiches in town. If you go try their home made syrups. The lavender was awesome!

I walked in and was behind 1 other person In line but was basically ignored while the attendant socialized with the other customer for 5 minutes. The customer had to mention that she should take my order.

Cute new place in Mahwah. Comfortable atmosphere. Very attentive staff. The medium roast coffee is just a good honest, straight forward cup of joe. Bagels from bagel train are a nice convenience. Not your typical pretentious, high brow coffee house. It has all the upscale coffee drinks of a Starbucks with the comfort of a Dunkin. Kind of like those two companies had a child, and called it Longfellow's Coffee.

My husband came across this place. Next time he brought me. I am honestly addicted to this place. It's a small version of Starbucks but not the price. It's our new spot to go to for coffee.

I'm really excited this place opened nearby me. The Cinnamon Spice Lattes are deliciously cozy and the bagels are so fresh! The customer service is great and welcoming. Hands down best coffee in town!

I've been searching for a good local cold brew other than Starbucks. Service was fast and friendly and the nitro cold brew it's exactly what I've been looking for!!! The price was right and their menu looks great, I know I'll be returning to try more things!

Great coffee. Asked for 2 eggs and cheese on a roll. They asked how I wanted the eggs and I said not runny. What I got was the exact opposite. It was a mess. I was the only customer at the time. If I wasn't in a hurry I would have brought it back

We were in a mood for a good breakfast sandwich and Longfellow's truly fit the bill! The sandwiches were delicious and every combo we ordered was perfect. The staff was friendly and prompt! A great find! Look forward to visiting in the future.

Ordered a grilled chicken and fresh mootz on focaccia. I received rotisserie chicken on a very tiny, very stale panini. Not close to worth $11. Very disappointed.

Nice people, but the food and drinks are sub par. Ordered a large cappucino, 3/4ths of it was just froth. Girlfriend bought a tea and it was straight milk. Egg and cheddar on croissants were disappointing. I'm sure it's a nice place overall, but I wouldn't recommend those specific items
