Sometimes when you hear about a legendary place, it’s because it did something great in the past. Longhorn is currently a legendary place to attend a live performance with an unbelievably good sound system. If you’re coming for a live performance, you will be very happy you did. The dance floor is directly in front of the stage and large enough for a good amount of people. I would estimate that we had 30 to 50 couples out dancing while Aaron Watson was on stage. It was impressive place to hang out for the evening.

More cowbell!! I'm not a country person, but this venue was great for a rock group. Very easy to get to from Arlington. Easy to park. Walked right in and straight to the concert. I did GA standing. No issues. Had a great view of the stage, easy access to drinks from the bar. Leaving was so easy. BTW, I parked on the street (Westside), and there was no charge. Definitely would attend another event here.

I love this small venue. Doesn't matter where you sit for sidelines, they're all good. For sound, when you buy seated general admission, the talking from the bar bounces off the walls so you hear talking during the performance. I've seen two concerts here now, one with 2 openers and it's so intimate! Parking is easy $17 via QR code onsite and no need to walk anywhere weird.

Google
The venue is cute and intimate. There isnt a bad seat in the house. The acoustics are great and everyone we encountered was friendly. They don't offer food (although there is someone selling chips and salsa as well as fritz pie?), but sometimes have food trucks, and there are restaurants near by. They do have a bar where you can get beer, wine, mixed drinks, sodas, and sparkling water. Parking is easy. They have their main lot and another just behind it. There is a QR code to pay for parking which makes it easy. I'm sure pricing depends on who is preforming. We saw The Wilder Blue, yesterday, and VIP parking was $25 and the lot right next to it was $17.33. If you have the chance to walk backstage, you can see all the pictures of different artist who have preformed there. It's pretty neat.

This is a great venue. It was closed down, but remodeled and re opened. The interior is very classically modern and cozy. You outside is very organized and much security. There is a lot of memorabilia all throughout the venue. I would definitely recommend catching a show there.

I loved the The Longhorn Ballroom. Celebrated their 75th anniversary April 19 2025 at the Jubilee. I liked the museum. The amazing history behind this venue. Every Texan should come to visit and be proud of what it stands for. I am an avid concert goer, and this was my first visit. Very good atmosphere and plenty of room to move around. The outside area is large and good for intermission. Felt like I was in a fort outside, the complex surrounds you. I got a selfie with my new favorite soul singer Abraham Alexander from Fort Worth. Can't wait to go back.

Google
The Longhorn is a unique, historical Texas gem. It’s loaded with an amazing collection of memorabilia from legendary artists who have performed there over the decades. The sound is amazing. They have an eclectic list of acts that perform and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Google
My first show at Longhorn Ballroom. We saw the Old 97s and it was a blast. The venue looks great. Especially the new photos and displays of people that have performed there! It was a good sized venue but we still felt close enough to the stage even though we stood in the back. Loved the merch and the lines for the bar and the bathrooms were short and fast! Can’t wait to go back! I’ll wear my boots next time!

Yelp
Awesome place to see live music. Good parking options. Big venue with great views. Employees are all very friendly and helpful. Interesting history with a lot of memorabilia.

Yelp
Love the venue and the wonderful job they have done to preserve the unique Texas musical history. We have seen so many "Texas bucket list" bands there in the last couple of years. So grateful to have it back and growing. Saturday night we tried the Longhorn Rita - the best thing I can say about it is to describe it as "soapy water"......other than the horrible drink, LOVED it!

Yelp
Great intimate venue in the South aide of Dallas. Seats are not reserved although there are different seat levels, it's first come, first serve basis. Hint: better to buy parking ticket online that pau using the app for 17 bucks! They dont serve food only drinks but you can order food thru DoorDash. i ordered mine from the nearby Rodeo Goat!

Yelp
Built in 1950, this venue has wonderful history. This is a great place to see a band. Place is nice size and there is no bad seat in the house. We attended the Randall King show. Venue was configured for seats, tables, standing room section, and a dance floor. Open layout for easy bar access. Sound is good. Loved the wall of fame and history as you enter. This is a fun place that allows you to get close to the performance which is always exciting.

Yelp
I recently caught a show here and the historic venue is back and in full glory. It's unique to Dallas, because it's part venue part local music museum. You'll notice a lot of pictures of artists that played at the Longhorn in its original glory days. The list is long and distinguished. There is also an area that has some artist memorabilia to gaze at. It's curated very nice and is glass cases. Depending on the set up.. it could be a seated show and/or it's standing. Either way the sound is great. Ticket prices and beverages are reasonably priced. No price gouging like the large corp venues. Cheers!! Staff: The staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking: There's a parking lot on property and it's $15 to park. Uber/Lyft/ drop offs are designated front & center of the venue. Which is easy to pull in and out.

Yelp
Oh yeah! Talk about Dallas history and a true honky tonk. This is it. Legendary and most of the Country Western legends played the place at one time or another. It's been closed for awhile but not forgotten. More importantly it hasn't been demolished to make room for one more high rise housing building. Hopefully it rises from the dead one day.

Yelp
We absolutely LOVE this venue! The staff is always great and service is fast. Drinks are reasonably priced for a concert venue. We've probably seen 8 shows here and always had a great time. Part of the venue showcases memorabilia from artists who have played here through the years so it's fun to explore all the historic artifacts. They have great murals highlighting various artists as well. Plenty of parking - QR code to pay. Clean and well serviced bathrooms. Must visit to see some amazing live music!

Yelp
It's ok. The vibe is kind of un inviting if you are under the age of 40. It's a clean venue, bathrooms are clean and well stocked, bar is fine, drink prices are average. Came here with my sister in law for a concert she wanted to see. Never been to a show like this with a 20 minute break for the band lol. Over all it just wasn't for us.

Yelp
I was at the same show that Scott was. It sounds like he unfortunately got some bad information. There were plenty of seats i doubt anyone would have played Ticket Cop if you wanted to sit. As far as the restrooms, they were just trying to keep lines to a minimum so they started asking the men to go outside and let the ladies use both restrooms inside. I never heard a VIP anything. The renovation is beautiful and this is an excellent small venue for live music with an amazing history. We had a great time!

Yelp
The Longhorn Ballroom in Texas left a lasting impression on me with its rich history and vibrant atmosphere. As soon as I walked in, I was captivated by the timeless charm of the venue. The spacious dance floor provided the perfect setting for an evening of music and movement. What truly sets the Longhorn Ballroom apart is the commitment to live music. The energy was palpable as the bands took the stage, delivering a performance that resonated with the soul of Texas. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just looking to enjoy the music, this venue caters to all. The staff deserves commendation for their warm hospitality. From the moment I arrived, they were attentive and friendly, ensuring a seamless experience. The attention to detail in preserving the venue's history while maintaining a contemporary vibe is truly commendable. Huge shoutout to Stephen too was a very cool bartender. The Longhorn Ballroom is not just a venue; it's a destination for those seeking a genuine Texan experience. I can't wait to return and immerse myself once again in the magic of this iconic establishment. If you're in Texas and appreciate good music, welcoming ambiance, and a touch of history, the Longhorn Ballroom is a must-visit.

Yelp
My first visit to the historic Longhorn Ballroom had me extremely impressed by how organized and well-kept the place is. Had a great time walking around viewing the exhibits of historic performances before the show. The bars were clean and orderly. Plenty of buffet tables and counterspace in the standing area. Lots of staff keeping the place clean and taking away empty bottles and cans. Ample trash cans to clean up litter. They even had water stations with plenty of cups and bowls of individually packaged earplugs for anyone who needed it. I can't think of a single other venue I've ever been to that cares for its guests the way Longhorn Ballroom does! I would love to come back for another show soon!

Yelp
This place is great for small concerts it's not to crowded that you lose yourself. Only thing I would change is to have some snack items available as I am diabetic.

Yelp
Fantastic staff. Helped me out with a bum knee. Very caring, went way above and beyond.

Yelp
I came here for the Morgan Wade and Lucero concert. The venue was fine. Where I took massive issue with it was in two ways: - Restrooms: you use a ratty porta potty if you aren't a VIP. I attempted to use the public restroom and was told I didn't have VIP status so they dispatched me to nasty overflowing porta potties outside. There was liquid waste all over the ground and they reeked. I can pay $12 for a can of basic domestic beer, but can't use indoor plumbing? - Ticketing and seating: we were told we only had general admission tickets without a seat. However we saw many people with GA tickets in seats. I would not go here again.

Yelp
Approached the box office to see if we could get last minute tickets to a sold out show. Received the BEST customer service we have ever gotten from venue staff. Can't rave enough about the staff at longhorn!!!

Yelp
Great relaxed venue... Staff were the nicest experienced at a concert, ever -- and security was excellent in supporting everyone's fun time!

Yelp
terrible street, stood outside venue and got cat called 3 times and the middle finger from a stranger, in broad dayligh. then as we were leaving about to have made up for the bad start i get shouted at by staff to throw away the water bottle i brought in, for what ? what danger is there taking my water bottle outside after the concerts over ? total buzz kill

Yelp
We went tonight for a concert and the venue was great. Intimate space, good acoustics, memorabilia to occupy some time and clean bathrooms--would return!

Yelp
What a blast from the past. The owners are tryin to bring this place back to life and I for one hope they do. I remember this place from a long time ago and it was the most happening place around. The talent that has past thru here is incredible and I hope they come back to play on this stage again. The Longhorn Ballroom should be on the historical register, if it ain't already.

Yelp
The reopening of this historic venue it coming to life! Really a fun place and worth checking out!

Yelp
You nailed it Jay LaFrance and family! What an incredibly fun venue and night! Thank you for letting us be a part of the celebration to reopen a magnificent part of Dallas's history and future! Can't wait to see what treasures you continue to "unearth" in its corners and crevices to refurbish and allow all of us to enjoy. I, for one, want to be there when you crack that old safe that you found! Congratulations for a job well done. Look forward to many fun events, parties, and boot scooting... Cheers #longhornballroom #stetsonsandstilettos #dallashistoryreborn

Yelp
This is the original and historic Bob Will's Ranch House, what a cool place, amazing it's still standing and being currently restored to it's former glory, don't pay attention to the haters on yelp. Bob Wills is still the King !!

Yelp
Utterly disappointed. Purchased and paid extra for guaranteed seated tickets this past Saturday night to see Asleep at the Wheel but the staff had no clue as to how to funnel and seat said ticket holders. The venue had a charity event beforehand that apparently did not end on time, so we were forced to wait outside way longer than the posted opening time of 9:30pm while they broke down the silent auction display tables. The staff was completely unprepared to direct the incoming crowd and the whole official door opening was total chaos. After a long wait, with out much direction from the young staff, people just started to storm in and help themselves to whichever open table they could find. We were forced to do the same and found that the rest of the folks who shared the table we grabbed were general admission ticket holders. Why charge extra for guaranteed seating when there was really none. Needless to say, I will not be attending another public concert at this place.

Yelp
The historic Longhorn Ballroom, once again, is a truly amazing venue. I attended the grand re-opening on September 9, 2017 and believe it's a 'must see' for everyone who loves Texas history and American music. Thank you for such a momentous and significant restoration and for giving us all the chance 'dance a little longer...!'

Sandy O.

Yelp
I attended the Grand Reopening of the Longhorn Ballroom. What a charming event venue that captures the essence of its origins with modern conveniences. When walking up to the main entrance it is as if you are entering the past, then you are treated to a photo wall of legends who have graced this place. The place has several bar areas, a large stage and dance floor surrounding by plenty of area for seating or mingling. Whether a wedding, corporate party, or music event, this is the place to go. Congrats to the owners for reviving this Dallas Legend!

Yelp
We went here for New Year's Eve to see the Old 97's. This is apparently a very famous live music venue in South Dallas. I looked for information about it online and I could not find anything leading up to the show. As we pulled up, I saw a sign that said cash bar only and that you could bring your own liquor into the show. I brought cash, so that was not a big deal, but it would have been really nice to know about the BYO option for my friends who like liquor. Now once we got inside, we saw the line for beer and it looked really long. The capacity was 2500 people and there were two bars and only like six people working. We stood in line for over an hour to get beers. I bought 12. Once we had beers, the show was very enjoyable. WHoever runs this place should be flogged publicly for being so ill-equipped for the crowd. I was really mad and I think that a lot of people probably left. The Old 97's should be embarrassed that they subjected their fans to this.
