I have been coming to Longhorn for years... not once have I ever complained about anything, asked to speak to a manager, etc. In fact, I NEVER make negative comments on food or service ANYWHERE that I go.
However, last night, I ordered a steak for takeout. When I got home, I noticed it was COVERED in white hair. I drove back to the restaurant to show them, and although the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, the manager was very rude. He clearly didn't care about my situation, given that he blamed me, treating me like I was a child - saying things such as "looks like you dropped it on the ground," "you must have a cat," etc. No, I don't have any pets and no I didn't drop it, but it sure does look like y'all dropped it on the ground. He looked at me suspiciously during our entire encounter as if I made all this up, and never apologized or offered a refund. And, not once did I raise my voice, cause a scene, or act angry with him or any of the staff.
After waiting in silence for 15-20 minutes (I had no updates as to what was going on), he brought out a newly cooked steak with my original sides. Although I am appreciative of a new meal, the last thing I wanted to do was eat.... my appetite was gone.
Maybe I just happened to catch the manager on a bad day... but the way I was treated was not right.
