The 10 Hottest New Restaurants in Madison, Wisconsin

"Madison is a beer town, and the owners of Brasserie V on the near-west side have capitalized on that thirst a second time with Longtable, a casual “beer cafe” in neighboring Middleton. Longtable features enough communal seating to please a Norse god, scores of bottled beers, and a well-curated tap list. Snacky dishes serve that communal spirit, as do generously portioned shareable meat and cheese boards." - Kyle Nabilcy

Google
The owner of the Airbnb where we are staying for 2 nights recommended this place for drinks and dinner. We are so happy she did. This is a fun place with the largest variety of beers we have ever encountered and a good choice of food. Our waiter, Alex made the experience even more enjoyable. He was attentive and charming.

Katherine M Malmquist

Google
Solid food, good environment, decent service, nice beer selection, love the outdoor seating, decent music choices. I had the mussels, which were good but not great. We tried the smoked trout sandwich as well, it was very good. If you’re looking for a quiet meal, this is not the place for you. If you’re looking for a solid meal for a good price, I think you’ll be happy!

Jerry Murphy

Google
First time at Long Table. Jason was our server. Very attentive. Had a couple of good burgers and a trout sandwich after an appetizer of cheese curds. Also had beer cheese soup and seafood bisque.

Alex Baker

Google
The goat cheese puffs were amazing! However, I think the rest of our food was less than fresh. Bangers and Mash and Banh Mi sandwich both tasted a little bit off. Other than that, the service was great and seemed like a cool place to hang out with a beer🍺

Justin Jones

Google
My friends and I came here for trivia one week day night it was a lot of fun! Our server was really nice and the chick peas and cheese curds were also really fantastic. The beer wall where you sort of pick your own is a fun and interesting concept.

Google
This was a really fun place. Great service. Great beer. Great food. I got the open face brisket with beer cheese soup. Absolutely amazing! Right combo of onion, pepper, & carrot chunks. I had one of the tapped beers (Golden Strong Ale) and tasted 3 others from friends. Tons of others there. A double wide fridge of various beers. Buy 4 get 30% off all 4! Had a really great time with friends. When we come back to Wisconsin we'll be there.

Lucas Kostecki

Google
Amazing fries and chicken pesto sandwich is to die for. Great beer selection too!

Brandon Brooks

Google
The vibes were awesome and the service was very good! Beer selection is amazing and delicious! Fish fry was solid and fries and dipping sauce were great. The lone downside was very subpar Brussels sprouts. Flavor was not good at all and they were undercooked. Maybe best to avoid veggies here, but everything else was great.

Yelp
The beer cheese soup is the best and I've had my share of this soup! Made with Wisconsin Hooks Cheese and Ale! The wings -- oh my --get yourself here to try the wings! Frites were a good alternative to fries! The beer selection is EPIC! Mostly local everything! Staff is welcoming and helpful! Thanks, Justin, for serving us!

Yelp
Stopped in on a Wednesday night which was nice as it wasn't too busy. I was seated right away and had great service. There are so many options for beers so you'll definitely find something you like. Choose from a large selection of non taps or check out the tap list. They also have wine and on Wednesdays bottles are half off. Better yet...you can buy and take with you or have a glass and take with you. The longtable burger is very filling and has a nice melted cheese and cream sauce. If you don't like pink y out r burger you may want to ask for it to be cooked to your liking. I also enjoyed the refreshing side salad even with arugula in it.

Yelp
A decent place to eat across the street from the Village bar in Middleton. Parking can be hard to find on the weekends but do-able. Not a full bar but lots of beer, wine and soft drink choices. Brisket Mac and cheese was good and great burgers at $18 bucks a pop! The waiter was very competent and friendly. For me, the lighting was too bright and the picnic tables not the most comfortable but ok.

B W.

Yelp
We bought some drinks in cans tonight thinking we were going to take them across the street in the park type area. We received 30% off a 4 pack. We ended up staying there at a table. The owner yelled at us and told us we couldn't drink them inside because they were take out. So we got up and he said we couldn't leave because the cans were now open. He said we were being sneaky. We were mortified. He was a jerk. We will never go back.

Katie S.

Yelp
I absolutely love it here! Would recommend to anyone. Their goat cheese puffs are amazing. Today I had the veggie sandwich that I always order and it was not the same. The only reason I'm writing this is because I miss the original. But change is always good just my feedback that the OG was a winner.

Kate W.

Yelp
The owner or who seemed to be, had no customer service skills... at all. Was very rude to my group, and did not care that we were paying customers. This was my first time going to this cafe and I will never again.

Yelp
Great casual vibe and beer. Food is good but not excellent. Friendly staff. Would definitely go again for a snack and a great tap list but food menu is not anything to write home about
google avatar

Jen J.

Yelp
If I were to come here again, I would go only for beers and the soft pretzel. The service was good and the staff was very friendly but the food was not great. The Brussels sprout appetizer was more like boiled Brussels sprouts in a vinegar sauce. Not a fan of them but they were very interesting. I got the baked cod fish fry and the fries were great but the fish was very over cooked. I was unable to eat it. Overall, cool place for beers and snacks as their beer selection is insane! They had tons of options!

Yelp
This place is quite the gem! I can't believe it took us over a year to redeem a gift card! We've been missing out. We came for a birthday lunch so they were slow but the server was so attentive and kind. I totally dig the rustic long tables and brick, industrial vibe. The tap list is carefully selected and they have a wall of open fridge to take home craft brews. You can tell they really focus on local ingredients and breweries. Burgers were cooked well-- lacking some topping options like LTP, gluten free bun was decent. Frites and sauces were probably our most favorite part of the meal. Paired with Young Blood Friot Punch Sour-- can't be beat!

Yelp
Cute spot! The inside is very nice, lots of seating, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Most people at my table ordered the tacos, which were pretty good! I got the veggie and chicken tacos. The veggie were really good, a nice bit of spice to them. The chicken weren't as good but I'm also not a big chicken person either. So take with a grain of salt. Lots of drink options, loved the variety!!

Yelp
Honestly, not the best but not bad? I tend not to like impossible burgers, so I opted for the veggie sandwich with fries. It was pretty good (never tried beet hummus so that was cool) but nothing extraordinary. I was thinking about getting a cider at the time, but didn't end up doing so because I don't think they had a plain apple cider (there was a cherry and a pear?). No complaints about the atmosphere or service though (both were good), but just a heads up that the kitchen does close at 9pm. Anyways, not bad, pretty decent.

Laura T.

Yelp
My husband and I have eaten at Longtable several times, which we first sought out after Brasserie V closed, in the hopes of finding a similar vibe (or at least a similar quality of food and the same menu of Belgian beer). Our experience of the menu has been generally good, although the service has varied from okay to poor. This evening, we were greatly disappointed when the host, who previously served us as a stressed and distracted waiter, clearly did not want to us to wait for a table and, had we decided to wait, wanted to make sure we did not move (for 40 minutes) from our position by the front door. His attitude was both unhospitable and condescending. We then walked over to the Free House Pub where we were greeted with warmth and respect. Maybe hire more women?

Christine L.

Yelp
This is Wisconsin and this is a beer bar. Far too pretentious staff. Yes, server Cassie sometimes I like to drink my beer straight from the bottle so stop rolling your eyes and lose the attitude. Too many other places in Middleton to go to, skip this one. Nice selection but so not worth the attitude.

Yelp
I meet some friends here for lunch because we always do the place across the street and down the block so I suggested let's try it out and they were cool about it. The place is a different model because you can be served or you can self serve from the large open cooler or have a tap beverage. They have long communal tables and a patio and we chose the patio. The menu is small and I chose the taco trio on corn with bbq brisket, smoked chicken and beer battered cod. The smoked chicken was dry white meat and not very Smokey at all. The beef brisket was moist/tender but not smokey either. The beer battered cod was my favorite and the winner. My friends liked the brisket the best but they don't really do bbq whereas I'm a bbq junkie and I do bbq all over the country so I feel the bbq was below average, bar food quality. The corn tortillas were absolutely horrible because the were hard and chewy like a fall leaf and you had to fight for each bite like a baked and left over. I can't imagine doing back because there are better options in the area for food but beverage wise I would definitely go back because of the nice selection.

Yelp
This place is a lot of fun! Wonderful atmosphere, accommodating staff, endless selection of drinks and a solid spread of food. It's a great spot to catch up with friends or stop by to show people around Middleton. Will be back again!

Yelp
Great place to get dinner and a beer! Awesome selection of beer on tap and in cans. Wine, seltzers, and nonalcoholic options available. We got a burger and pulled pork sandwich and both were good. Longtable has good options for vegetarians and vegans too! Lovely atmosphere with plenty of seating and all of the staff and employees were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend if you're in Middleton!

Yelp
Food was pretty good pub fare. Cheese curds we're pretty good a little greasy and giant but the aiolis were creative. Fries were perfectly crispy. Veggie tacos were delicious and filling, presented well. Ambience is so fun for a chill summer hang the windows all open and it's airy. Food came out quickly and server was attentive huge beer wall

Yelp
My daughter and I went there for lunch on a Friday. After waiting 40 minutes for our meal, I approached the counter. As soon as I started talking, the waitress said the kitchen had lost our order ticket. She handed me menus and said I could try and find something else to order and she'd put it in for us to wait again. She had not come to our table to tell us this, but waited for me, the customer, to seek her out. No compensation was offered, no free drink, soda, nothing. When leaving I spoke to the man I thought was the manager and explained the situation in a perfectly normal, non-heated voice, he just looked at me and didn't say one word, merely stared like I was invisible. The waitress did apologize, but that was all, and that wasn't enough. I hear the restaurant has decent food, but I will never go there. I don't patronize places that don't care about its patrons. My daughter did say that she and her husband had difficulty one other time with service, but they wanted to try it again because they thought the food was okay. Apparently I'll never find out. Don't eat here. 0 stars

Yelp
Very nice area and cafe had windows open on a nice day. They had lots of beer, wine and cider options. Food was very good. I got the tacos and they were filling and delicious. Server was very nice and helpful. She did get very busy and overwhelmed with about if people.

Yelp
I am in search of a good Philly Cheesesteak in the Greater Madison area and it has been a struggle. The Philly Cheesesteak had shaved ribeye, Mushroom Mike peppers, onions and mushrooms, Longtable cheese sauce, and Clasen's sub roll. The cheesesteak was not bad it just wasn't what I was looking for. It was more of an artsy fartsy cheesesteak. I wouldn't order it again but I would definitely try something else. On the side were frites which was really good.

Penny C.

Yelp
Awful people! We came in, 2 of us, just for a beer... They wanted us to be seated to do so. What? Couldn't stand by the small bar and just have a beer. Lost our business. The hostess/bartender was a witch.

Yelp
Visited longtable for a quick drink on a weekday night. The venue was lively and the ambiance was very nice and warm. I was instantly greeted by a host and directed to a table. I appreciate how you're able to get craft draft brews at the bar and enjoyed pre-bottled drinks on their refrigerated wall (full of ciders & beer). The triple jam cider I got was delicious -- it was full of flavor and really well priced at $5 for 16 oz. Overall, I was only at the venue for an hour and didn't try the food, but the vibes and drinks were on point from my visit!

Yelp
Tried this place out tonight after a day at the CrossFit Games and it was awesome! We were planning on going to a spot around the corner for noodles but found out it's carry out only. Food was great. Quality was good. Absolutely amazing selection of beer. Atmosphere at this spot was really laid back. It's set in a residential area with commercial spaces on the first floor. Very great vibe sitting on the patio. All in all this wasn't a 5-star situation to me because of the quality of the food and the organization of the place. We showed up and were told 10 minutes and ended up waiting just under 30. We never got water or utensils. Most of our food was easily finger food - would've preferred utensils if they were provided. It feels like one of those spots where you use your server visits strategically to prevent waiting around for quite some time - even though we ended up waiting around anyways with the check at the end. The quality of food is okay overall. The cheese curds here are the best I've had so far. We ordered them with beer cheese. I fully regret not capturing a photo before destroying them. YUM! Everything else was pretty lack luster (charcuterie was overpriced and nachos were generic with dry brisket). All in all a good spot for a date night but not somewhere that feels like the menu is priced fairly.

Yelp
This was definitely the worst meal I have had in 2023, maybe longer. Probably. While I'm sure many people appreciate the beer, if you are here for food, think twice.

Elisabeth A.

Yelp
Sour beer lovers, this is your spot. they have a great selection and the food was great. I love how you can pick a beer when you walk in to open and enjoy while you wait for your food. Comfy, easygoing vibe.

Yelp
I tried out their restaurant week meal with a friend and that for $25 total was a pretty good deal. There have some outdoor tables by the restaurant but when those are full there are picnic tables in the area (beware of mosquitoes)! The meal itself was good. I liked the beans the most but wasn't crazy filling. We ended up ordering fries afterwards which were very tasty. The extra saltiness and crunch you desire from fries. The aioli pairing was delicious too. They do have a lot of beer selection which is great too. The chocolate stout I had was great! You can order at the counter and masks are required.
google avatar

Yelp
Cheese curds are AMAZING! Homemade soups are delicious for that rainy day. Soft pretzel is soft and fluffy, not heavy at all. I went with the stone mustard dipping and it is a strong one that pairs well.

Yelp
My family and joined at Longtable for dinner and beer. They do not take reservations on the weekends but it wasn't hard to get a spot for 6 people. It is a very casual environment. We were greeted immediately and served ice cold beer. My husband and I had the hazy IPA and it was so delicious. We ordered nachos to share which were so cheesy and full of toppings. My husband ordered the brisket grilled cheese which was to die for. I almost stole his other half of his sandwich. I had the smoked chicken bowl which was okay. It was lacking flavor and it was a small portion for the price. Overall I would definitely come back for the beer, nachos and brisket grilled cheese!

Chris L.

Yelp
We've heard great things about Longtable and this was our first visit. The beer selection is amazing! They had some of my favorite local crafts at the ready. However, we were one of the first groups to arrive but last to receive our food (3 appetizers). He took down our orders without writing anything down. We gave our waiter the benefit of the doubt. We had to ask him for an update to which he responded, "you never received your food?". He would've known the answer to that if he had checked in on us for refills. It took over 30 minutes to receive 2 orders of frites and the trout spread. Additionally, I had to walk up and ask for my tap beer that I had also ordered. If our waiter accepted his fault and made up for it, I would've given 5 stars but sadly he seemed unapologetic.

Kevin G.

Yelp
First time eating at Longtable. Only good things to say. Staff were friendly, beer selection is crazy plentiful for all tastes and the food was tasty. The price point was acceptable. I liked the vibe.
google avatar

Ashcon L.

Yelp
Not sure why this place has only 3.5 stars - other than a bit of a wait (35 minutes estimated wait when there were at least two tables open the whole time we were waiting, and we ended up being seated at one of those...?) The food really hit the spot. The curds were some of the best in Madison with a pretty thick batter but still had a good crunch and they have 5 different dipping sauces to choose from - the beer cheese sauce went shockingly well with the curds and the honey sriracha aioli was super good. All three of us liked our meals- the burger seemed to be the least favorite, but not bad. The taco trio is great for people like me who can't decide on what meat they want in their entree! The brisket was my personal favorite, though. And of course, they have an incredible drink selection so they really have something for everyone! A busy spot that we'll definitely be trying again soon.

Yelp
Went here for Madison Burger Week to try out the community burger and then also ended up ordering the brisket sandwich. The community burger was very good! The mint yogurt and tomato-chili chutney played nicely with the beef/lamb combo burger, providing a coolness to the sandwich. The bun was also perfect for absorbing all of the juices of the burger and sauces. I also got the coleslaw as my side, which was kind of soggy. The jicama slaw that they used to have was much better. The brisket sandwich was piled high with meat and giardinara. Some pieces of brisket at the top were a little dry, but the pieces on the bottom were juicy and had a nice smoked flavor. Overall the food was pretty good, but it feels like they are pulling back from the originality when they first open. We do miss the jicama slaw and the chickpea sides. Also we really miss the sausages!! These were are favorites here and really made the place feel like a beer hall.

Yelp
Enjoyed a cheese & meat board as well as a beverage. Newer place, long tables, short bar - nice patio spice. Great beverage selection.

Yelp
I am so glad I stumbled upon this place. It is so unique and fun, just a great place to get a drink and hang out! They have garage door type walls that they open up when it's nice out. They have plenty of seating and an ungodly amount of beers/ciders/seltzers to choose from. They also serve food (I did not get to try any of the food). Great unique place if you are adventurous and want to get out and try something new that you've probably never had before! You can carry out these beers/cans too like a grocery store. Give this place a try!

Yelp
First time there. Ok but not amazing. Seating is physically uncomfortable--benches, bar stools or uncomfortable outdoor chairs--but I get the draw for people that want to be social and drink. Nice wide drink selection. Tried two different tacos. Despite the option to try different types of meat, all the shell styles have to be the same when you order a plate (or a plate +1), which seems odd. I had fish and pork while my partner had the beef. Fish was good--note, it's fried--while pork seemed greasy. Beef had a nice flavor. Liked the soft wrap. Despite all the reviews saying you have to wait to be seated, we were ignored by the staff (literally one was socializing with a group of people five feet away) when we lingered in the doorway, so partner just went to the bar and asked if we could take a seat. Our server was pleasant enough, but I'd say the indifferent reception on a non-busy weekday night merited the three stars.
google avatar

Taylor D.

Yelp
Cool, casual spot with a huge selection of beer. To no surprise, the space is full of long tables and a very open atmosphere. This is a great place to go with a group of friends. We enjoyed a few beers, and I delighted by the endless choices on the wall. The group ordered the brisket sandwiches, cole slaw, cheese curds, and beer cheese soup. It was my first time trying beer cheese soup and it was not for me, but everything else was tasted! Looking to try some new beers or a casual spot to hangout with friends? This is a good pick! The place fills pretty quickly around dinner time, so beware of tight parking. I parked down the street in a free lot.

Yelp
Surprisingly disappointed. Our large group came for a friend's birthday celebration. I'll be honest---they do have a great selection of beer and wine. Lots of different options. Kids menu looks great too! Many of us ordered the community burger. I ordered it because of Nueske's bacon. It's my fave. About 5 of us ordered our burgers Medium. They came out super well done and dry. What a disappointment. Fried shallots were good and bacon was perfect. Goat cheese puffs were fantastic. Unlimited Mussels on Tuesday. Fantastic. Brussels....not so much. To quote my friend, "there's no taste." So...don't order the burger. Plenty of seating. Food comes out slow but it was busy for a Tuesday night. They ran out of mussels....so get there early.
google avatar

Bret D.

Yelp
Good everything... food, beer, atmosphere, and service. It can be noisy some nights due to the room (primarily during winter when the bay doors are closed) but it's worth the visit if you have time.
google avatar

Trevon H.

Yelp
WOW! Had the best experience while I was at Longtable. Went to hang out with a few friends and the service was impeccable. Liz, our server, helped me decide my drink and made me feel at home while I visited... She is AMAZING!!! Will definitely be coming back to visit.
google avatar

Connie L.

Yelp
Heard good things about this place! The beer selection and cheese curds were fantastic as I was told. The atmosphere was also very chill. As the restaurant name implies--- long tables so good for groups if it's not too busy. Just snag whatever seating there is..order at the register. Besides the cheese curds, the food was pretty average. Had a selection of the meats.. wings meh, briskit seemed dry... Or at least needed sauce. Pulled pork also dry and needed some sauce. I'd come back if I was in a larger group and wanted a chill, easy place for all.
google avatar

Chad H.

Yelp
Ordered a burger without ketchup and mustard. They served me a burger with ketchup and mustard. I sent it back. They then served me the same patty with new bun having tried lazily to wipe the ketchup and mustard off. Haven't seen that bush league move since the 1980s at McDonalds. Also the cook who pulled the move was the only employee not consistently wearing a mask. They did refund me the meal when I brought it to the manager's attention. That's how they earned the one star.

Yelp
Long table beer cafe is an interesting new spot out in Middleton offering a modern element to classic Wisconsin foods like brats, curds, and beer. Definitely a much needed addition to the neutrality that serves as much of the restaurants and hang outs in the downtown area. Walking in to this place there is a very communal feel alongside a smoky scented atmosphere (though the actual air isn't smoky!). The music is loud and laid back. To the left is a private tasting area and to the right is an open refrigerator filled with at least 100 beers, a deli fridge with charcuterie options, a place to order, and finally a bar with taps and seats. No hard liquor at the bar; just beer and wine. The tables are long. The menu is focused with a few appetizers, sandwiches(including sausages and classic sandwiches but no standard burger), snacks, and charcuterie boards. Classic options like cheese curds and French fries are present. The cheese curds have no option of simple classic accompaniments. In other words, no ranch!Near the counter a community burger where proceeds are given to charity, a nice touch. I decided to order a brat and cheese curds. The curds were breaded in a corn meal better that tastes light and crispy. The brat was initially celebrated for its awesome bun to meat ratio but fell short in that it was under cooked and under seasoned. Literally the inner half of the sausage was pink and cold to taste and therefore it was thrown out. Overall a cool new spot but some of the fundamentals should be improved upon.

Yelp
Food was great, but the service needs a little work. I called in for a pickup order and they said it would be 30 minutes. No big deal, I'm happy to wait. When I get there 30 minutes later, they say that it's almost ready and that they'll send me a text when it is. Again, not a big deal, I'm happy to wait. 45 minutes later, I don't get a text, but I'm tired of waiting so I go up again. My food has been sitting out and is pretty lukewarm. Even cold, the cheese curds were fantastic. Definitely interested in coming back, but I'll plan on dining in instead.
google avatar

Helena R.

Yelp
We came hyped about their curds only to be disappointed. It's an interesting place but may be a while before we visit again. I ordered the beet salad - nothing specials about it except the deep fried goat cheese. At least we tried it out

Yelp
I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the concept of this place. I'm not usually a big fan of the communal table cafeteria feel, and when you walk in there's a huge cooler full of canned/bottled beer that definitely added to that feel. However, all of that information is pretty much in the restaurant name, so I more or less knew what I was walking into. The restaurant was pretty busy for a Wednesday night, but there was more than enough room for our group of 4 to sit comfortably without feeling like we were shoved up against people we didn't know. I was very happy with the wine selection, you don't see red Wollersheim options on many menus so I definitely took advantage of that! We put in an order for goat cheese puffs and a meat and cheese board and found our seats to look at the menu further. When the apps came, I was in heaven! I am a goat cheese FREAK, and those puffs were everything. The cheese was melty inside a flakey pastry type dough that had a subtle sweetness to it. Probably one of the best things I've ever eaten. The meat and cheese board was good too, it was served with lightly toasted triangles of bread and crackers. Pretty self explanatory, but delicious all the same. After we ate our apps we popped up to the cashier to place our dinner order. I ordered a special only offered on Wednesdays, the loose meat burger. I used to love going to Maid Rite on Odana Rd when it was still open, and this burger was spot on! I had fries on the side with a chipotle aioli dipping sauce. The fries were great, and the sauce was awesome! They actually have many sauce options which I loved. It takes a typical order of fries and makes it unique. My friend got a curry ketchup and my husband got a garlicky aioli that was SO GOOD. My husband loved his community burger, and our friends loved their food as well. I'm so glad we gave Longtable a chance, despite the cafeteria concept not being my jam. This place wowed us for sure.

Yelp
Terrrible service. Middle aged men who seem very miserable with their life. Take your business somewhere else.
google avatar

Patti T.

Yelp
As of the end of August there is no indoor seating available. They have a half-dozen or so seating options outside on the patio or you can order take-out and sit in the park across the street. The staff is wearing masks and gloves and all surfaces are sanitized between customers. Additionally, guests must wear a mask unless seated. They do have access to the indoor bathrooms for customers. The menu is just as good as always. I got the italian sub sandwich and it was huge and delicious. They're also offering all of their tap and bottled/canned beer, so there's an extensive drink menu to review. All menus are single use. Everyone was super friendly - including the other guests. We had a fabulous time and will definitely check them out again soon!

Yelp
THIS IS NOT TAKE-OUT. You order online, choose the 15-minute time range for pick-up. And when you get there, they say, "What's your name? Perfect. We'll start your order for you." Um, NO. You can drop my fries when I get there. You can even say, "I'm sorry -- we're about 10 minutes behind." But under no circumstances should you say, "We're starting that now because you just got here." The person manning the patio counter said the exact same thing to the three people who came after me, so I know mine was not a special case. If I choose a time for pick-up, please have it ready within that timeframe. I ordered at 10:27am for pick-up between 12:00-12:15pm. I arrived at the patio counter at 12:01pm. I got my food just before 12:30. So to have driven out from Cross Plains and having waited outside in the cold for half an hour (and to have given over a 30% tip when I ordered online), I was pretty disappointed. No "sorry for your wait." No "thank you for ordering." I'm not interested in waiting a half an hour for take-out ONCE I GET THERE. I hate giving low ratings. But each time I've come here I've been EXTREMELY disappointed. The first time? The male bartender ignored me so many times, the stranger who was sitting next to me spoke up because I was passed over for three men who arrived at the bar after me. I'm 5'10" -- it's not like he didn't see me. Super not cool. I wanted to give them another chance. I'm regretting it. Mr and Mrs Van Nest, please instruct your crew that this is not how to run a business interested in repeat customers.

Yelp
Take-out with patio pickup, ordered at 4:30 with a 5:00-5:15 pickup time. Called ahead to make sure the pickup time was right (because the order slip said to pick up at 4:30 which is when I ordered. A glitch, they assured me.) It's 5:28 and still no food, not even an acknowledgement they are late and breaking their promise. I asked for an update, and turns out, the food's been ready and sitting there for "about five minutes." Wow. Again, no apology or anything. It's a shame. The food was good, though a bit cold. But the service was terrible.
