My dear friend Jordy has been visiting Nashville from Pennsylvania every summer for the past 11 years, and Lonnie’s has consistently rolled out the red carpet for him. Jordy is blind, but that has never been a barrier here—in fact, the staff go above and beyond to make him feel welcome, safe, and celebrated. They graciously let him sing 2–4 songs at a time, guide him on and off the stage, and never let his Coca-Cola run dry. The atmosphere is spotless and easy to navigate, with clean bathrooms, great seating, and a warm, nostalgic vibe that feels like stepping back into “original Nashville” with just the right touch of modern sparkle. The service is unlike anywhere else I’ve been—Mr. Lonnie, Mr. Jo, Miss Brittany, and the rest of the team set the gold standard for friendliness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. Just last night, Mr. Jo spotted us in line and personally brought us to the front, clearing a safe path so Jordy could sit near the stage. When it was time to leave, Mr. Lonnie himself came out with a flashlight and had the crowd part to ensure Jordy exited safely—while Miss AJ, the new karaoke host, kindly asked everyone to give him space leaving the stage. These small acts of kindness mean the world, and they happen here every single time. Lonnie’s Western Room isn’t just a karaoke bar—it’s a place filled with grace, joy, and heart. The staff here aren’t just good at their jobs; they’re good people. Their energy is unmatched, their love for what they do is obvious, and their dedication to creating a safe, fun, inclusive environment is truly rare. Thank you, Lonnie’s, for making every visit unforgettable and for treating Jordy (and everyone who walks through your doors) like family. Nashville wouldn’t be the same without you!

We had a great time!! Lonnie's is always a fun place and this time we were able to take our 11 year old daughter. We went on a Thursday night and it wasn't as crowded as usual. Our daughter even got up there to sing too. Great time!!

We stop at Lonnie’s every time we’re in Nashville. It’s got a little bit of everything for everyone and the karaoke hostesses are awesome. No one cares if you can hold a tune or not. It’s all about having fun with friends.

All the servers were great but AJ (karaoke hostess) is a superstar! She kept the flow going, the mood positive and encouraging, not to mention the girl's got some pipes!

Loved Lonnie. My wife and I stopped in for a few drinks and had a blast. The young ladies running the karaoke and bar were awesome. Probably going back this evening

Last night I encounter a racist bar tender who threw my debit card across the bar and refused to serve me. Me and my friend went to get a drink he said he was paying, and that he owed me because I got him one last time. This bartender served 6 people who came to the bar after us before saying anything to us, acting as if we weren’t there. When she finally acknowledges us she asked what we wanted. I told her and she says “well you know it’s $16 right” as if we couldn’t afford it. Then she attempts to take the drink back out of my hand as i’m waiting for my friend to pay. I pulled my arm back and said what is the issue?? (After she tried to snatch the drink out of my hand) She says “I need payment first before u can have it” She asks for the drink back and says “He’s not gonna pay” My friend says to her ma’am I am paying right now I jus put the money on my bank card. Then she says “he doesn’t have it” and asks for the drink back claiming he’s not gonna pay. She puts her hand out as if I’m some child and asks for the drink back. I said to her “you didn’t do anyone else this way” she said “what do u mean” in a very angry tone. I said ma’am every else here who ordered a drink u just gave it to them and they payed after now all of a sudden you need our money first before we can’t get our drinks , and mind you she didn’t give my friend what he ask for either she’s waiting on payment which she didn’t do anyone else like that as we were the only 2 blacks in the bar area. So I finally said you know what it’s all good just take my card it is no problem at all i’ll pay for it. She then takes my card snatched it from my hand winds back and threw it across the bar!!!! She also slams the drink in the trash can and began to yell at me saying get out get out now. I responded asking what is wrong with you why would you throw my debit card across the bar she claims “I will not be talked to that way” get out now. We were both extremely respectful to her to whole time and just question why were the only ones who had to pay before we were giving the drink unlike everyone else who she jus swiped there card after there drinks had been open and sipped and all before they paid. A little old man who works there then comes up to me saying she never has any problems so if you guys wanna bring trouble we can and call the police and told me to walk away from the bar. I told the man you have seen me come in here for years i’ve caused no problems in here. He still was telling me to move away from the bar that’s when I explained to him it was shoulder to shoulder and there was no room Id love to move but can’t. He said he doesn’t care and figure it out. At that point I said you know what Im leaving , they also were not gonna let me look for my card lucky a guy saw what happened brought it to me and asked if I was alright and asked what the bartenders problem was. I went somewhere else and had a better night somewhere else anyways! Lonnie’s hires racist staff and I will never be back. The bartender was an older later 40s-50s not the usual younger lady who works the bar. Regardless of what ever happens in service you never throw sometimes debit card !!! That’s common sense and who acts like that especially at 50 years old! She was clearly racist and got called out on it and threw a tantrum. Lonnie’s will never get another penny from me!

Not recommended. Basic alcohol... nothing for us under age folks but soda and water. Very hot and high humidity inside. No fans or AC but a lot of sweat. Then you leave. There is a 5. Cover. The sound system is muffled and it is missing a lot of the music. The DJ likes to experiment so much that the sound is missing too much music and volume and base. I think there is only one speaker. And the main screen for singers went off.

Loved my night at Lonnies on Thursday. I'll be back to see the newest talent, Thank you for a great last night spent in Nashville on Printers Alley; Lonnies Western Room will be again a destination visit on my return on Printers Alley.

Lonnie's is an awesome dive bar that I just discovered. The karaoke stage is elevated and behind the bar, making it for a really unique experience. The pizza wasn't good, but if you're drunk, you won't even notice!

They selling pizza by the slice for 4 bucks lol we out side the bar eatting my homie tells me wtf this taste just like little Caesars pizza and we turn they forgot to close the trash can lol it is little Caesars pizza WTF DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND JUST ORDER A WHOLE PIZZA FOR FIVE BUCKS FROM LITTLE CAESARS I mean I can't hate on them for hustling, just thought everybody should know.

This was an interesting place! We went later at night for karaoke. It's not as crowded as a lot of the other bars downtown. But that's what we like! The emcee taking care of all the karaoke people was great! Bartenders were friendly! And I liked the way they had the seating around the stage to where every spot was a good spot. Very smart!

Best off Broadway to sing karaoke!! I like that they charge a cover it helps keep the place not so crazy like other places where you can't get a drink or a chance to sing.

We LOVED this place. We just happened to stumble upon this great gem in Nashville, a bit off the beaten path of tourism. Open til 3am, the singing only gets worse as the patrons get obliterated and it gets later. Fun to watch when you aren't the one on stage. Love the owner. She is full of wisdom and years of age, but still hustling trays of mediocre beer (no alcohol here). She's sharp, sassy, and adorable. Worth the trip just to see her. Bathrooms are just as stated...not the greatest asset of Lonnies. Close your eyes, aim, get your business done, and wash your hands. Next. Go here, you might be the next Nashville star.

Terrible service! The only bartender left the bar to ask for tips after I already tipped her. After I said no I already tipped you, she snatched my drink that was full! She then proceeded to take my friends drink and pour it all over him after he did not tip her. Then I went back to the bar to get another drink and she would not sell to me because I didn't tip her!

Bartenders are stand-offish, on a power trip and are jerks from the get go. They expect tips for opening bottles. The best part of Lonnie's has always been just getting drunk and singing but they wouldn't let my group sing because we "didn't tip" but I literally put my change In the tip jar. Bartenders were asses to us for no reason other than maybe racial discrimination. Don't give this dingy, dirty, run-down "bar" your time or money.

My 5 other girl friends and I went here on Saturday night & have never left an establishment so upset. We put our name in for karaoke and waited over 2 hours for the karaoke hostess to call our name. She called up the same people multiple times during this 2 hr. time period, making eye contact with us while doing so. My sister went up to ask when our song would be played and the girl rudely replied, "we don't have your song & we are doing our last song right now." That means, we actually waited for 2 whole hours for absolutely nothing. Plus it was only 1:20 am & the bar didn't even close until 3 am so this was most likely a lie. After hearing this, I went up & explained the situation to her and told her we would happily do another song & she replied in a very hateful manner. I honestly think that the staff was so rude to us because we all chose not to drink just because that's not something we are interested in. Thus, we weren't shelling out $300 drunk tips for rude service. Anyways, to top it all off, when we stepped out of the door, the karaoke hostess started playing the song we had asked for that they said they "didn't have." I understand now why there are so many 1 star reviews. You would have to be completely wasted to have a 2 star experience here.

I go here almost every weekend! I love it here its can fit a lot of people. The staff won't but up with anything. The staff knows me by name which is amazing. To me it shows that they really care about me and having people come back. They are so nice there and actually like their jobs. I finally got to met lonnie and I was so excited about how nice he was!

Management was so rude. They kick people out for "being in the walkway". The owner/bouncer is extremely rude and called us terrible people for waiting in line to sing at his bar without ordering an extra drink. Very rude and awful people.

We were told this was one of the top ten karaoke bars to go to...we went for about 20 minutes and were completely disappointed. It was FILLED with college kids in which most used fake IDs to get in. They were openly flaunting it so I'm sure the business just wants the money. It was way too many people in there, way more than the building is fit to hold. No masks were worn and you could barely move. Absolute trash...do not recommend.

This is a very quaint friendly karaoke place with good karaoke. However, you never know if they're open unless you show up there. I went here 3×2 of the times they were close no one downstairs it says they've been open for 6 o'clock 9 o'clock the doors are still closed. It was one of my favorite places to karaoke. But after looking at their website which says they're open from 6pm till 3 am and the little green open on their site. I paid for Uber to take me up there at 7 pm. They are not open. I'm standing on the sidewalk waiting until 9:10 pm and they did not open. Nothing posted on the door about being closed. I called the phone number and each time it cut me off. POST something on the door! POST something on your website! Let your customers know what the hell is going on or just close your doors permanently. Once a fan of this club this second time they've done this has soured me on Lonnie's . My rating is only reflective of their unpredictability.

This is one of the only 18 year and older karaoke bars in Nashville. Good vibes all around. The bar was mainly college age kids. But there was older couples here having a good time as well. If you are 18-20 yr old. You don't get a wrist band. If you are 21 or older you get a wrist band. This rust and allows you to get drinks. The bar tender will not serve you if you don't have a wrist band. The girl Incharge of the karaoke was really accommodating. Most of the music was country. But we did sublime love it what I got! They had a sign that said the place was voted in the top 10 college bars in America 2008. Part of me doesn't believe this but who knows. The vibes and drinks were reasonable. The staff would come around to clean empty bottles off of tables. After 2am they had pizza and food outside to purchase. The only issue I had was they charged me for water! They gave me a water bottle for $1 like water should be free. Overall. I will def be back here everyone was friendly. Big college vibe here. If you are looking for a good time check this out.

karaoke you get up on stage - and sing in front of a lot of audience members. You would go if you are really inebriated. The sitting area is kinda dirty and drinks are spilt in many places I have updated my review and will keep 2 stars / 5. The service is good and the hot dog girl is really nice and frequently asks if you need more drinks or food or hot dogs for 2 bucks. The songs on this particular night were mostly country but there were a few pop songs. Some of the singers are really good. The complaint I have though, is that they now have a cover and you never know where you are on the karaoke list which is really annoying. If they can just have one of the TV screens show the current lineup that would be ideal

I wish Lonnie's would reopen. It's 18+ which is great because college students don't have to use fakes to get in. Karaoke is fun and the atmosphere is wonderful. It's always PACKED. I wouldn't go if you're older. It's for younger people for sure. They stop serving alcohol at 11.

We had so much fun at this little bar when visiting! They don't serve real alcoholic drinks, just beer and bootleggers. Karaoke was so much fun and it's nice that they offer it to the public! A younger crowd for sure. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because we did have to pay a $5 cover charge upon arrival. The owner was outside and very personable!

Pretty fun karaoke if you're feeling up for a honky tonk night. $5 cover. Bottled beers- kinda pricey as other have said $3-5, not terrible. The place grew on me the longer I sat in there. A couple friends sang karaoke and we all had a good time. The staff was pretty friendly, the older lady at the bar took good care of us even as it got super packed. Definitely a younger crowd as the night went on, be prepared to see some sloppy songs sung. A classic Nashville time.

Oh Lonnie's. You are a riot and I love you. It's one of my favorite places to take tourists because it's a nice mix of good singers and those owning it and having fun. The Lonnie's host girls are a good time and can always sing. I only have two gripes.... it's beer only and they don't like cursing on stage. I mean, sometimes the mood just takes you and you need to let loose (as long as it is within context of the song). Lonnie's always has a fun cast of characters, and I'd recommend it for locals and tourists alike!

I. LOVE. BETTY. We got there around 10:30pm and was able to secure seats at the bar. Betty was so attentive and fun. My girlfriends and I sang a couple of songs. Place was filled with people of all ages. Low key dive bar...such a nice change of pace from Broadway. There is a 5 dollar cover. We booked another trip back to Nashville because we had so much fun at Lonnies! We will stop by to say hi to Betty!

Gave Lonnie's a shot on a Friday night and honestly cannot understand how this place stays in business. Appears to be run by several folks in their 70's+ and the sparse crowd was a cringe-inducing gaggle of misfits - and not in the "so bad it's good" way. Even worse, there is a cover, and in no way does this place merit a single dollar for entry. Avoid at all costs.

We were going to go see what's happening at Lonnie's because my brother was visiting and wanted to sing some karaoke in Nashville- we got there around 11. There was a $5 cover charge per person. It was PACKED. Standing room only. No one was wearing a mask, maybe 4 people. When we walked back out and asked for a refund they wouldn't give it to us (We we're inside for maybe 4 seconds). We ended up getting a refund after 5 mins of arguing. Absolutely ridiculous. Trash bar for trash people.

Great little dive bar off the beaten path in downtown Nashville. About as classic as karaoke gets... no books, no #'s just write the song in a post it note and stick it to the bar. They only serve beer and wine and we paid a cover charge of $5 bucks a person when we were there.

The elder female servers (75+ years old) manning the front of the bar are rude. Rude is an understatement, especially the 85 year old bar server with short grey hair. They yell at you to get out of the front of the bar because they can't easily move around to serve guests. My friends and I were yelled at to "get out of this area" (the whole lower bar area because we weren't buying alcohol). I understand that we were in her way at times, so we made a conscious effort to move out of her way so she could move more easily. BUT COME ON, it's a bar for crying out loud. It's going to be busy, it's going to be crowded. How can you treat customers so rudely?! This woman was horrible. We asked for glasses of water, and she came Back with bottled water... Meaning that would cost $3 or so rather than being free. She immediately was pissed off from this miscommunication and aggressively tossed the brand new untouched bottled water into the trash! She was extremely rude, I hope they fire her or she smartens herself up.

Awesome spot in downtown Nashville. If you aren't rating this place highly, your expectations of a dive bar are set too highly. Great crowd, service, and karaoke.

This place is truly awful. Nowhere I've been in Nashville charges a cover but Lonnies charges a $5 cover to go into a over crowded "bar" and watch people drunkenly butcher some of my favorite songs. They only serve beer out of bottles which is also over priced. All around not worth it and my friends and I will not be going back.

We had so much fun at Lonnie's last weekend! It was very crowded but everyone was great. Tony is the best he makes you feel right at home and Betty keeps the beers coming she can keep up with the crazy crowd. Can't wait to go back again.

This was a wonderful karaoke bar!! All ages allowed! This is one of the only karaoke bars in Nashville that does not require you to be 21 and over! They are mostly country karaoke, but the hostess and bartender are very sweet and supportive!

My friend and I travel to Nashville every year and Lonnie's is always a must on our trip. The staff is friendly, but they do not put up with drunken behavior; this is something in particular that I like about this bar. They only serve bottled drinks and a few, specific types of shots. The cover is $5 to get in. There is no foul language allowed, as the karaoke is streamed. All you have to do is put your name and song on a sticky note to get on the karaoke list. It's a fun time!

I am a huuuuuge karaoke fan. I'm from nyc and I have to say this might be my favorite karaoke experience ever! From the outside it looks very average but don't be fooled. As soon as you walk in you get it. Stadium type seating! And the stage is basically the bar top!! I love it. It's an elevated stage, slightly behind the real bar, so it makes it look like you're rocking it on top of the real thing. The stage was funnnnn. Great lighting and you really feel like a country star. Nashville has some gooood singers too, so bring your A game. Oh! The one thing is there's a female karaoke host who stands on stage with you. ....in the most awkward way everr. It's so awkward that I promise you'll laugh if you see her. Great spot. I sang redneck woman...yeeeehaw

Lonnie's is super fun for a casual night out on the town or for a tourist! They have a wide range of song options, however, it's not the cleanest (not that anyone expects it to be more than it is. Also, they sell fake, over priced shots. It is very reasonable to get in and a good time every once in a blue moon.

Came here this past Monday night and had an awesome time. I hate karaoke but I even got up and sang two songs because the vibe was so chill and unpretentious. The hostesses were great, filling the spaces when no one was ready to sing. It had a great dive feel with beers by the bottle without feeling like a skeezy place. I would definitely recommend this for some good Nashville karaoke where you can have a good time without feeling like you have to impress people.

I wish there was an option for zero stars!! The owner is a joke!! I asked him why I paid $50 to get in without live music. He responded by putting his hands on me and pushing me out the door. I was called a fag and then he called the police to say I robbed him. You can't make this up, there are so many better places in the town.

my friend and i intended to go sing our hearts out on stage because we're under 21 and lonnie's is publicised as an 18+ karaoke bar. we found out by a rude employee that it's no longer 18+ and you have to be 21 to enter. we weren't even allowed to use the bathroom so ... just know it's only 21 and up now.

Rudest staff I've ever seen. My group all went to the bar and bought beers and tipped but seconds after didn't put money in the tip bucket when they walked by with it, they yelled at us and told us if we can't tip then we don't need to be there. The atmosphere included a bunch of belligerent high school looking kids screaming on stage. Unless you drank so much before you walked in that you can barely stand avoid this place.

Lonnie himself greeted us at the door and because we weren't under 30 (or underage drinking for that matter) charged us a cover of $10/person... Everyone else (later to find out they are likely 21 and under were charged with $5 cover or no cover at all) Regardless of the legend this place holds in town, there are friendlier and more ethical places we want to support as Nashville continues to be the "IT" city. What a dive. They have music in their listing that someone wanted to sing. After the song came up the bouncer didn't want it sung. Some old guy stopped the singer. So lame.

I see a common theme starting. I've only wrote one review before and it was a few years back,but after my experience last night I felt compelled to share. I was walking with a friend to Printers Alley we are both born and raised in Nashville and have been down there many times ( Blues Bar has always been great btw ). My friend and I were deciding which bar to go and I said "I want to sing karaoke!" Well there was 2 patrons outside the front door,plus a 70ish doorman. One of the patrons spoke up stating: " This is the best karaoke bar in Nashville! It has some great singing." To which I replied in a normal friendly tone: "What if you're a shitty singer?" The guy didnt hear me good,and asked what i said. However the doorman was already replying (to a conversation he is not a part of) "Ms.Kellis around the corner". I dont pay it any attention and respond to the patron repeating my question. To which he laughs and says that he is up next and he cant sing and we should come in. The doorman in the meantime has already repeated his statement a second and third while we was talking. I'm wondering why he keeps talking to people who arent talking to him, but pay it no mind. The patron seemed like a good dude and seemed so passionate about us coming in I didnt want to say no. So I said we will come in,but we are going to run up here for a second. After seeing Printers Alley was dead (Sunday) we decide to return to Lonnies. When we came out of the Alley and started that way (you're about 60 yards away from Lonnies door at that point id say) the old man sees us coming and immediately gets up off his stool and disappears inside the door, only to reappear in about 2 seconds. He had removed the doorstop and pulled the door. I sense his obvious disapproval, but still think surely he wouldn't turn us away as we were not drunk,loud or rude. I walk up to him and ask can I go in because he is blocking the door. He stammers and mutters something about full capacity. To which i look in and the place being generous is a 1/3 full, closer to 1/4. I then ask you really dont want us in there do you? He again stammers for a b.s. excuse saying something about closing in a few minutes anyway (it was around 12:30 and they close at 3a.m.) Knowing full well I would be a fool to waste anymore oxygen on him, I just chuckled in the kind of manner of disbelief and chagrin and walk away. So as you see this guy is a mfing cock turd whore fuck, like the majority of reviewers have stated already. Now I know who cares, it's whatever right. Well I cringe at the thought of tourists visiting "The Athens of the South" and getting such dicksnot service and concluding that Nashvillians are all urine soaked shitty pussies slut dicks. When the truth is aside from the abundance of great music, Nashville is known for its courteous polite citizens that exemplify Southern Hospitality. So if you see this morose salty ball ass cunt whore masquerading as a doorman, let him know that when I left and screwed his wife. We came here with 11 of my girlfriends for my bachelorette party weekend and had an amazing time! We arrived around 7:30 and we were able to sing many times as individuals and duets. They had a great music selection and the set up of the room makes it very easy for everyone to pay attention and have fun while you're singing. The bartenders and waitresses were very nice and helpful the crowd was very friendly and we had a wonderful time. I highly recommend Lonnie's if you're going out for karaoke in Nashville! They only serve beer and wine coolers so we were a little upset we couldn't do shots with the bachelorette party but otherwise we had a wonderful time! Prices for drinks were really reasonable too!

We were in Nashville for 1 night, on the coldest day of the year. People were begging those of us on the streets to come in to their establishments. I've never seen such an empty city! We turned down most offers because we were cold, and trying to get back to the hotel. Lonnie's was right by our hotel, and my husband really wanted to go in... he loves karaoke. The manager was outside asking those of us passing to come in, and bonus, no cover. We were literally the only 2 people in the bar. Waitress was friendly, the karaoke hostess was nice, and they were accommodating to song requests. My husband was able to karaoke 5 or 6 times... I lost count. We were joined by 4 regulars, and the occasional passerby. One disadvantage of this bar is the lack of liquor or wine. They have a small beer menu - the American staples (Miller, coors, Budweiser), 1 cider choice, 1 IPA, and an assortment of Mike's Hard and Smirnoff Ice's. They did have Fat Tire, so that was my drink of choice. I think this is marketed to a college crowd due to the drink choices and the signs (voted #10 college karaoke bar... or something of the sort). Overall, a good time. I'd go back.
