"Lined with vintage lamps and stained glass windows, Petworth’s lived-in Looking Glass Lounge has a surprise downstairs bar that opens to a heated, wood-framed patio. Trivia nights, weekend brunch, rare domestic brews, and $10 beer-and-shot combos are all part of the charm. Try the chili and half-smoke. In what many called a holiday miracle, the bar was able to renegotiate a lease with its landlord in late 2023 and not close after all." - Tierney Plumb, Eater Staff

Great date night spot with live bands on Thursday nights!

Stopped in for happy hour with an old friend. The place was empty and not too loud. Perfect for catching up. We shared the enormous portion of appetizer nachos, and had some cocktails. Definitely worth it! Service is great. Vibe is chill. They play old school hip hop - the classics! Shortly before we left, the crowd came in for the trivia. So perfect timing for us! A nice neighborhood spot!

Google
attempt not to go here or the neighborhood. They count how may race goes in this place. Security is the worst! You will get your car break in. And you will get no help. Worst place ever. No star if possible.

This review is specifically for Nic, who usually bartends downstairs. She’s great and personable and while this bar is far from me so I don’t make it out here often. I won’t come back unless she’s working! (Joking kinda) thanks for letting us hang and talk your ear off! The lemon pepper wings were great 👍🏽

The bartender rude she put half our order in wrong and gets mad at us and didn’t wanna fix the order she said oh they not making it over we just going take it off which we wanted the food not for it to be taken off she in a customer service environment it’s no way she that rude

Found this little hole in the wall because the first Bar I went to had me ready to leave D.C all together. Music was good ,vibe was crazy and drinks was everything hidden gem in the DMV #JayandKiraapprove

Do you live in the neighborhood? Then don't come here unless escorted by a Park view resident, please. Also Wednesday burger deal is the best and brunch is the least packed best deal in the city!

Yelp
Fun bar with great curly fries. Tasty mango hard cider Full Transparency. Want to come back to bottomless mimosas next time.

Yelp
I find the name "lounge" misleading, as it's really more of a dive bar. When I think lounge, I think dance floors and pleasant atmosphere for table service and quiet conversations. This was none of that. The menu on Yelp does not match the QR code menu on the table. Just FYI. Do not rely on that menu. They seem to have a limited alcohol offering and a limited kitchen offering. I ordered a drink I didn't particularly want, but had no choice but to get as they had no ciders on hand. I then ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich specifically for the mushrooms. It's not until he takes my order and puts it in that he comes back 15min later to tell me they don't have mushrooms and actually they don't even have onions. Like wow, you couldn't tell me this earlier? You couldn't cancel my order? You're just giving me an "FYI" like I'd want a Philly cheese steak without onions? Outrageous. Then I got the food and it was soooo salty. Not tasty, just salty. The bun was very thick and I thought it could've had more cheese (in additions to the onions I would've wanted). I couldn't even finish eating it. Would not come back.

Yelp
I love this spot! Idc, idc...whenever I've popped in here (often on a rare Sunday outing) it's a total vibe. I'm not sure if it's because I come with a lot of my industry friends but whatever it is, whenever I drop in I feel cozy, comfortable and always have a great time. This is laid back dive bar, a neighborhood favorite and a gathering spot for many locals. The music is always great and there is usually an eclectic and fun crowd. Twice I've ended up here after black tie events and although I stuck out like a sore thumb, literally no one cared. You can be whatever you're in the mood to be like here and no one cares as long as your respectful and mindful of others. Don't be surprised if you see people stand up on the bar and dance- just embrace it. And if you get sprayed with a champagne shower in your finest garbs while sipping a Miller High Life...that's okay, embrace it.

Yelp
Late night bar vibes. Love that there's an outdoor patio/bar down the steps. Came on a Thursday night and there was an edm dj who rocked the house all night. Mixed crowd. Drinks will for sure make you friendlier

Kate M.

Yelp
Crappy hole in the wall. Back patio was small and disheveled. Place was empty for a reason. Service was good. Didn't order food so not sure.

Shani L.

Yelp
Suitable to be called "local bar or neighborhood bar". A block south of Georgia-Petworth station is the perfect place to hide in plain sight. You will find an eclectic group of people, some great beers on tap, strong Tito's mixed drinks, yummy fried pickles and an awesome playlist where everyone in the small front bar sings along. I had a very good time. It's not a place to meet folks and be seen. Throw on some jeans, bring your group to enjoy the tunes or come alone and watch a game. Pros/Cons *Neighborhood after 8pm was filled with men (3) asking for money on the walk up to the bar. *vaccination card required *Good prices on drinks and bar food. *Fun playlist and lively energetic crowd.

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Looking Glass is a solid local joint with tasty bar food and a good DJ when available. The wings are a must and the fried pickles are tasty too. Two thumbs up!

Chris M.

Yelp
One time I came here trashed but they have a time machine at the down bar so I had a few more drinks and went in their time machine to when I wasn't trashed but I went back in time too far to that time I saved my mom from getting hit by a school bus except this time I couldn't act in time and she got hit by that bus and now she's in the big stinky wiener in the sky. So I don't have a mom anymore but I was able to get trashed again and order some combos and wings. I love you mom.

Yelp
This is a chill hangout spot to enjoy happy hour specials until 8 pm, good food, and good company. There's $2 off draft, liquor, and wine every day. We came here on a Friday around 6 pm and it was surprisingly empty. I sat at the bar and watched some headlines on tv and sampled some beer until my friend arrived. They also had some great jams playing in the background. Through all of these stimuli, I was able to catch up with my friend who I hadn't seen in over a year. We were both starving so I got the veggie tacos and my friend got wings. This bar has a lot of other food options. I wanted to try the veggie chili since I haven't seen it on a menu before but I'll do that next time. The tacos and wings were both really good. I just wish the tacos had a bit more filling in them; I could probably have eaten three more tacos since I was super hungry. The menu said there would be carrots and avocado in the tacos but it was sparse. That being said, they were still tasty and I'd get them again when I'm not a hangry woman. Perhaps the other tacos are more substantial. Anyways, I decided to fill up on beer instead. Drinks were nice too, I started with a beer but switched to a margarita with my choice of tequila. Shoutout to Jamie for the great service and crafting delicious margaritas for me. Also a patron had spilled her wine and I heard Jamie say "that's what the rag is for" and I thought that was really nice. Also bonus points for being eco friendly and switching to cardboard straws.

Yelp
Except for the Doorman, this visit was a customer service fail. I walked in an hour before last call wanting to change my attitude about DC in terms of late night life (I lived in NYC for many years and have not given DC a chance to be its own thing vs a constant comparison to NYC). The vibe from the guests is so fun! The music is lit. The Doorman friendly...the bartender GARBAGE. Seen this basic b*** vibe before. The second he clocked that I wasn't a customer interested in knocking back shots and taking pictures with him for my IG feed, he stopped serving me. I had one glass of wine and was never able to get that second one--oh, wait! Not quite true: the bartender came over to me, poured a red wine, then said "oh, you wanted white," then drank the glass of red in my face in one glug, and then put my check down to get the eff out. He then proceeded to stagger around, clearly wasted. WOWWWWW. I will say, that bartender does match NYC in terms of jadedness. LOL. I'll try happy hour next time. 5:00 pm is probably that bartender's wake-up time anyway, so I can avoid him. Shame. I really felt welcomed by the music and that Doorman.

Melissa G.

Yelp
Had a great time for my first visit at this "dive bar". I ended up here on accident when my original event didnt have food. It was a Tuesday night which is also trivia night. I only participated in 2 rounds but it was fun. I ordered the shrimp tacos and some wine. The tacos were waaaaay too spicy for my pallet but would be good for those who like their food with a little kick. Great lottle spot to check out. I plan to go back on Thursday for bingo.

Yelp
Happy hour until 8? Check. Happy hour during the weekend until 8?? CHECK. An entire playlist of old school hip-hop?! CHEEEEEEECK! I wish I caught the name of the bartender, but his playlist was of the utmost fire. I was banging my head to literally every song he played. This bar is nothing fancy, but it's just what you need. I also appreciated that it wasn't crowded at all. I wonder what it's like on weekends? Anyways, their happy hour is 4-8 everyday (or 5-8? There's a discrepancy on different menus) and it's $2 off wine, liquor & draft beers. For rails, that means they're $4 during happy hour, and wines (at least the Malbec) is $6. I don't know how much the beer is, since I don't drink that. I was extremely hungry, so I decided to order some food. They have a lot of things, but I saw jerk chicken tacos!! I couldn't help it, I had to order those. They were DELICIOUS! That was some good jerk chicken, I was impressed. So I enjoyed those and just hung out at the bar until I had to go. I wish I could've stayed longer. I need to get the name of the bartender with the hip-hop playlist and the other woman who took care of some of my stuff. Both seemed like really cool people and I would definitely look forward to coming back here.

Charlize T.

Yelp
If I could give no stars I would. Manager trash. Downstairs bartender cool until time to leave. When someone tips well (or at all ) they shouldn't be cussed out to leave. Service subpar would NOT recommend as a bartender in DC who you almost have to stab in order for us to review at all. NOT the move.

Jaisal N.

Yelp
Hey so in response to this review by Derek D, From my experience I have to say that I had a very different view. 1. This place is a great local spot that everyone I know in DC knows and respects. 2. The music being 20 years old means nothing in itself. It's had the best music Mixes from my experience from any bar in the area. 3. Their signs are really something

Yelp
I lived in D.C. for 3 years and the Glass will always be my favorite bar. I spent numerous nights meeting new people, doing cross word puzzles up at the bar, attending D.J. dance parties, and even winning BINGO. I understand that Covid has put a strain on everything and that's why I wanted to come and defend the good name of the Looking Glass - it's definitely the best bar in the neighborhood with multiple levels and an outdoor area. After going a collective 50+ times I'd say there's the right vibe for everyone here (except those who want to complain, or think they are at a restaurant). This is a neighborhood bar, if issues arise contact management directly.

Yelp
Chill neighborhood dive with surprisingly tasty food. The nachos ($12) easily fed two, and these bad boys were loaded with delicious beef chili. And to our delight, they nailed the chip to topping ratio, providing plenty of coverage for all of the chips, a rare feat. How many times have you ordered nachos, worked your way through the toppings, then had 20% of the chips left to eat all sad and bare? Thankfully, Looking Glass will save you from that regrettable fate (na'cho fate here am I right?). Once we worked our way through the nachos, we found that it's a solid spot to enjoy a beer, as well. As with most of the cool bars in the Park View neighborhood, they have a nice patio out back for your great day drinking (down some stairs that during our visit had a pink neon sign overhead reading "F*** Trump." Theirs didn't censor, though). It is sort of hidden though if you are not looking for it, so pass the bar on the entry level to find the stairs. We enjoyed a drink inside at the bar as well while watching the Preakness with the rest of the patrons, who were a nice mix of 20s, 30s, and beyond in age. Around 5 on Saturday, they had a happy hour deal with all drinks $2 off, beers and liquor. Nice.

Yelp
This past weekend I visited the Looking Glass Lounge, a place I have frequented before so I decided to take my friends who were visiting from out of town. I am sharing this review and photos as an opportunity for this business to improve and elevate it's self. Myself and a group of friends visited for drinks and latenight eats. We were first approach by an unfriendly staff whom appeared he did not want to seat us. I then notice a seat in the looking glass window was available and mentioned it. We were seated after the table was cleaned where then shortly after another patron who was clearly heavily intoxicated started arguing with the female bartender where she began to exchange explicits with him. This same patron began to argue and fight a women who was leaving the bar who was also drunk. They began to argue and fight in front of the business during our short lived experience at the looking glass. We then were told to hurry up and order. We ordered mixed drinks and wings, fries and two sandwiches. The photos were taken in real time with extremely burnt wings when we shared concerns about the burnt wings the server said "yall not even going to try them" the food was visibly distasteful. He offered no suggestions nor offered an alternative. Our friends from out of town attempted to try their food and as you can see in the photo of their sandwiches that were taken before we left, they were not pleased with their food either. I hope the looking glass takes our experience and will enhance their customer service and ensure their kitchen staff can execute the items of their menu in a fashion that will be a bit more visually appealing.

Yelp
I for one am very glad this lounge is coming back and trying to stay open during this unfortunate period in our lives! We must all try to maintain the true nature of this local place and its contribution to our neighborhood. We all enjoyed it for a long time. We should continue to do it!! And have this eclectic location become part of the local experience again!! Miss the great variety of music and people serving behind the bar and the restaurant. Always made for a lovely place to meet after work!! Exceptional in most ways as a bar and hangout! Lets bring them back!!!

Armando F.

Yelp
They still let me in. How is that possible? They must really like me. How is that possible? Beer good.

Ameerah S.

Yelp
I came here on a late Monday night, not really knowing what to expect. It's definitely a chill dive bar with plenty of draft beers. The ambiance was dark and cool with a lot of unique things to look at. I'd definitely come back and check it out on a more lively night when they're having a comedy show or a quiz night.

Joshua S.

Yelp
For someone who used to love this lounge I'm sorry to say that Covid has reduced it's customer service immensely. I called ahead knowing the hard times may have affected its menu as it has with many of my DC watering holes. I was told to come and that there was plenty of space and that all food on the menu was available so I popped in for a quick dinner and a takeaway for my bf. As soon as I arrived I was greeted happily and ordered. My waiter said he was out of the order I came for due to a shortage of bread-no problem, these things happen in the industry. "We've already had people just try to order like 5 of em as well." Great. I promptly put in a few orders of tenders and curly fries and a beer and waited, kind of bummed that I was told they had everything on the menu and that I wasted time coming(even if my waiter confirmed that he was the one I spoke to on the phone), but I was hungry at that point. The food arrived rather quick and I was given it nicely wrapped to go. I took a bite and ate. The tenders were average, as were the fries. #Divebartings I expected, but with this places reputation I hoped for more. Humbled by the universe. Throughout my meal I couldn't help but to notice that a staff member of some sort was intensely staring at me, from inside the bar like I had done something wrong. They stared, and stared, and drank, and stared, and took a few shots, and stared again. It was one of the most unsettling experiences I've had while eating at a restaurant. I quickly went to pack my food and ask for the bill knowing through my own work experiences that drunk staff do not make for an efficiently run business and what's worse is that this person seemed like a manager. No wonder they had no bread shipments. Upon receiving the bill though my waiter kindly informed me that they had buns and burgers as I pointed out that a table next to me had a sandwich...with bread. *audible gasp* Buns are a type of bread... and they claimed to have everything when I called and was beckoned to visit...and then they claimed to not have it when I got there. Now I'm learning that it's just white bread they don't have, and with the intimidating staff and rubbery tenders I just wanted out. I was perplexed. They could have easily substituted the white bread they claimed not to have for the buns since walking two steps to the Safeway next door for missing ingredients clearly was not an option. All the staff standing around drinking shots and shooting me a dirty looks for ordering something they claimed to have on the menu were clearly overwhelmed, and after chugging my beer and rushing to book it out of there, so was I. I get that we're in tough times right now, but it's not really looking good for the future of this place.

Molly B.

Yelp
Neighborhood Hidden Gem I was pleasantly surprised that this small spot had such a powerful punch. The owner (Jeff) was really cool. The food was DELICIOUS. We had Nachos with vegetarian chili. I cannot rave enough how I didn't even notice the chili was missing meat. That's how good it tasted. They do have the with meat option. Shrimp po boy with fries. My friend had theTequila sunrise -said it was pretty strong. My other friend had the fish tacos. While chatting with Jeff I found out they have trivia nights on Tuesdays. There's a DJ who comes out on the wknds. Music is played on the main floor and a basement level. We liked it so much we are going back for my friend's bday in 2 wks. *Going to sleep now, because I'm so full.

Yelp
Decent happy hour. In an strip with a few bars back to back Looking Glass Lounge doesn't do much to stand out from the pack but doesn't mean it isn't a good place to grab a drink. The happy hour deals are good for the neighborhood. Service was good, they keep the glasses filled and were friendly throughout my visit. An assortment of fried foods were on the menu and adequate for bar food. There are better bars on the strip but a good time can still be had at Looking Glass as well.

Desi W.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and each time is never a disappointment. The drinks are well made and reasonably priced. Right near Petworth metro along Georgia Ave. The place has a upstairs and downstairs. The downstairs has a read that is beautiful and quaint all at the same time. The music upstairs is dope depending on the bartender. From wutang, Beyoncé, to a little evanescence. Looking for a cool place to chill and grab a good drink, definitely stop by. Nachos aren't bad either

Les D.

Yelp
I always wander here each time everything else in the neighborhood is closed. Need to start showing LGL a little more love. Each experience here has been rewarding. Primarily it's the food. LGL just serves really good food. Haven't had one bad item from the menu. Caesar salad is a big, fresh salad with peppers and even a few anchovies tossed on top. I'm not into anchovies, but thanks for classing up the dish. I'll just set those to the side. I had a first rate meal (salad, wings, beer) for around $15. That's a great deal. Always an interesting assortment of beers on tap. I think Sunday evening at LGL is one of Georgia Ave's best perks. That they serve terrific food (salads, chicken sandwich, fries, etc) better than most full service restaurants in the neighborhood is worth noting. That they exhibit that quality on a cold, dark Sunday night in January is 5 star worthy.

Yelp
Nothing was open on this strip, a friend of mine lives walking distance away, we go here because it's the only place open after 11pm. This is not just a good dive with cool laid back people, but a place where bartenders drink after hours. Plenty of free street parking. The DJ was really good-disco/ retro/ throwback tunes this Friday. It wasn't too crowded. If you're seated by the bar (not at the bar), you have to get up and place your order. We learned that after about 10 minutes when no one stopped past:0) My martini came back as a shot with all top shelf alcohol. Then after the bartender realized he got my French martini confused; as it was more like a Remy Side Car. He swings back past our table and gets us a 2nd round on him; this time he attempts his hand at a most successful take on the French in the same potent fashion of a shot. He got it wrong first, but got it right twice-if that makes sense. I luv a low key spot off the beaten path. I plan to come here again and again and......yup

Hall W.

Yelp
We came here to watch the Presidential Debates (round 2 for GOP). The Pros: 1. Great bar food options - everything from the calimari, fries, and pork bits, were delicious and rather surprisingly well made. 2. Drafts - not that much to choose from, but enough to make everyone happy. 3. OMG great tv options.... 4. The owners and servers were super friendly and helpful and really did give shots with their creative Donald Trump bingo The So So 1. Making reservations were actually rather painful. I had to e-mail and call and check a few times. Not the most responsive system 2. Their sound set up isn't that good. There lacked clarity and it was mis mosh of noises.. Overall.. Great for large groups going for an outing!

Jennifer V.

Yelp
Was bar hopping on a Thursday night (who am I) and ended up at the looking glass lounge! The decor and art in this place was pretty cool I had a couple good laughs about the smoking Mother Theresa piece. Thinking back...I think I only had a shot of tequila but clearly it did the trick lol. It was a generous size I remember it took me three sips to finish it , although I don't think that's how it was supposed to work. Anyways...I had a great time! Timothy (Tim) the bartender was great! Super friendly and accommodating and did a great job managing the whole bar and all the customers. They even let me bring in some pizza since the kitchen was closed. What more could a girl ask for! I'll deff be back here! Super chill environment to catch up with friends.

Marcus L.

Yelp
The last bastion of diversity in the District...(and Reynolds) But this "Constantinople" of Petworth is my stomping ground and pride whenever I decide to emerge from underneath my rock. The bartenders are attentive, management is cool and the crowd never disappoints! So if you're looking for a quasi-blue collar to non-Capitol-Hill-prententious-vibe AND you have common sense, come to the Glass. Trivia nights on Tuesdays are great, as are Monday vinyl nights (bring your own 33/45s). But the coup de gras? Sundays, bottomless mimosas (seriously, you will NEVER see the bottom of your glass) and $10 wings + beer combo (best around IMO) are the stuff of champions! I love this place so much it isn't even funny!

Heather Marie V.

Yelp
A neighborhood gem! This bar has a divey feel while looking quirky and upscale. The porch is fantastic for the warmer weather, and the food is delicious. The fries are always crispy and the portions large. The black bean burger had good heat and makes you forget you're eating a vegetarian meal.

Andrea S.

Yelp
This is a great neighborhood bar. It's not overly fancy, nor does it pretend to be. They host lots of fun events like bingo and trivia, and they have some good happy hour prices. Come here if you want a casual place to hang with friends a grab some bar food.

Gladstone P.

Yelp
Great place to avoid microbrewery themed places and faux gastro pubs with a good selection for all and few frills. I miss bars like this. Has a neighborhood ambiance but welcoming to all. Bartender was friendly but not in our faces. Beer was COLD - believe it or not, not always a priority for some establishments. A bar's bar. I only knock down on the chicken fingers which were way overcooked. But food isn't really why you go here and the wings were actually pretty good. Music was awesome at first (old soul, funk and eclectic new wave/punk) then got less appealing. Minor beef. Free country still - even under Trump. Solid and I'll be coming back.

Libby F.

Yelp
Looking Glass Lounge is not a place I would come to if not for a justifiable purpose. I actually took the 70 Metro Bus all the way from the Silver Spring Metro. It was a rainy night, and not knowing the neighborhood, I did not want to risk driving. It gets a bonus point for being a block or so from the Petworth metro stop and near a bus stop too. The exterior does not give any clue as to how cool it is inside. It appears to be a great place to hook up with friends. My motive was Yelp Trivia, of course! It happened to be relegated to the basement bar, which was way too small for all the folks who showed up to partake on this Thursday night (I guess Lost was a rerun.) Service was hard to get once the crowds rolled in. Several people in my group ate upstairs before staking a claim to a table in the dungeon. The menu, which was quite pricey did not impress me. Someone at the next table had something very garlicky-- maybe the mussels for $13. I'll wait and sample them at Bistrot Du Coin, thank you very much. The beer selections are impressive; some only offered upstairs, drat! I stuck with the not-on-special $5 Staropramens from Prague, ah Prague...I wish I were there right now! As for trivia here... it was fun and entirely too easy, but did we conquer? No!! We would have/should have had it not been for that ridiculous "Georgia Ave. of Petworth" round. Come on! It would have been nice to get $75 (not a typo) off our tab! We did however win favorite team name (as judged by the bartender who's bootie we kissed up to). We earned $15 off our bar tab, plus a few extra "adjustments". The trivia hosts should of used a microphone. It was hard to hear over the music and talking. But, I forgive them because they passed around some pretty tasty homemade cookies with candy coated pieces. Brain fuel! I'm not sure if I'd return. As Randy Jackson always says on American Idol, "It was just okay to me".

Boobie D.

Yelp
had a great time with friends just hanging on the patio for a few brews. tooooo excited because they actually have fried pickle spears - yes, spears. that meant the world to me because the hunt for them has been real! thank you && i will for sure be back soon! all cost were great too - almost felt like happy hour all day there !

Ed H.

Yelp
Great neighbourhood place with good beer available. Decent menu and decent food - not outstanding bar food, but good enough. They used to have more "meal-like" meals, but have switched now to be mostly pub food: chicken sandwich, burger, chicken strips, etc. The wings are good, and the burger is good. There's a nice patio out back for the warmer months, with a bar down there, too. And a Shepard Fairey HOPE poster doesn't hurt. Great jukebox, wonderful selection, although every time I play something it screws up and skips half my songs.

Tiegan Y.

Yelp
I've stopped by this place a few late nights after work, yes I left feeling really good thanks to the bar tender.. However, they are not the most friendliest and it is a bit dark and gloomy. Depending on who's the bartender music determines the music genre.. There is one bar tender who is semi-friendly I suppose which is the African American guy with the beard. Weirdly enough you get used to the atmosphere quickly though lol . This is a neighborhood dive bar and from my understand that's how they are. It's something for everyone I suppose. I will say the few times I have stopped by it was rather empty which is what I prefer.. Therefore it was a sense of intimacy which can be serene.. I can live with or without this place honestly... I have never had food there only beverages (strong ones) at that.. Not saying that I won't ever come back however, not saying that I have a desire to come back. Customer service is everything... Overall, the staff is interesting and not very welcoming. However, after a few shots of tequila I am happy and nothing matters from that point anyway LOL Neighborhood bar, walking distance from where I live and really good drinks.. I'll give it 3 stars

Yelp
I decided to stop in while I was waiting on food at amber by Resturant. I'm sooo glad I did!!! I grabbed a seat at the bar, the bartender was very welcoming as well as the lady next to me named Kara! They have a FULL BAR, with great prices! I had the Jim beam Natty Bo combo! It was a healthy size pour! The ambience was nice, they were playing a combo of hip hop some snoop in the background. It was some of his slower songs so it made for a laid back yet chill type of atmosphere, you could definitely bob to the music, the buzz of conversation was and music was perfect! I checked out the menus which looked inviting as well as seeing what people were eating. There was a variety of people eating salads burgers. The bartender Amir was nice he explained there beers on tap. I look forward to coming back to this local spot, it's inviting, mixing of culture and people! This is definitely a place to visit!

Yelp
We went on a Saturday around 1pm for the bottomless mimosa brunch. It was a great deal for bottomless mimosas- $12 for all you can drink! And none of those tiny champagne flutes, the mimosas were served in pint glasses. (It looks pink in the picture due to lighting.) Definitely great bang for your buck! Our server was attentive and had a hilarious sense of humor. The vibe of the place was a bit eclectic, a tad dingy but not gross or too dirty. Some of our seats were folding chairs but they also had unique bar signs on the walls and awesome velvet wallpaper. The food was meh- nothing to write home about. I ordered the breakfast plate which was an egg, some toast, home fries and a morsel of brown avocado (I'm going to guess that they were almost out and scraped what they could onto my plate). The home fries were by far the best part of the dish. Our group had ordered veggie chili nachos to start off with and I would recommend that over the other breakfast dishes. We called ahead before we went and they do not take reservations, however, there were only two other tables there when we arrived and getting a table was not a problem. Overall, a great economical choice for a bottomless brunch with an eclectic/divey ambiance and halfway decent food.

Yelp
The goat. Combos. Turkey clubs. Half smokes. Wings. Simply put, DC's greatest. Whether it's for brunch, dinner, or an afternoon snack, you are hard pressed to find a bar with better service, more chill vibe, and substantial food than here. I've been going here for over six years and still find new reasons to revisit old favorites. 11/10 the best in the biz.

Yelp
Came here to watch the World Cup game and the service was STELLAR. Vee and Tim were so attentive and did such a great job. We got bottomless mimosas and there was literally never a time that my glass was empty. They made us feel super welcome and we had a great time. Also, the black bean burger and old bay fries are delicious AF. This place is divey and dark and amazing. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Stopped in for happy hour with an old friend. The place was empty and not too loud. Perfect for catching up. We shared the enormous portion of appetizer nachos, and had some cocktails. Definitely worth it! Service is great. Vibe is chill. They play old school hip hop - the classics! Shortly before we left, the crowd came in for the trivia. So perfect timing for us! A nice neighborhood spot!

Yelp
Of all the times I've been here (and it has been a lot of times), this has been my worst experience here. I have avoided coming on the weekday bc of this one waitress who seems to always have an attitude. I don't know her name, but she's kinda short and has curly blond/black hair. She seemed to have an attitude from the second we sat down. It may have to do with the fact that we didn't order drinks at first. Either way, her demeanor was unacceptable. It's not like we HAVE to order drinks, right? We ordered a good amount of food. So after about 10 min of waiting for our food (after it took her a while to ask us if we needed anything) I ordered a beer and got it shortly after. After about 30 min of waiting for our food and her not checking on us even once, my friend asked what the hold-up was with the food, since we had seen a lot of ppl get their food, but not us. She says, "I don't know what's going on with your food. I haven't checked." Really? Hmmm So eventually, the food comes and the order is wrong. She doesn't even come to check to see if everything is okay. We had to flag her down to tell her that the order was wrong, only for her to defend herself saying she heard differently, even though everyone at the table agreed that she heard wrong. She leaves and we only see her pass by to help other guests, never returning back to our table. I'll stick to the weekends or ordering at the bar to avoid her from now on.

Yelp
Dive bar . . . But, super cool. The people are the best. Who knew the place was an awesome place?

Yelp
Looking Glass Lounge is a chill little spot with good vibes. It has solid drink specials offered for HH and throughout the day beer/shot specials for around 7 bucks. It's a neighborhood bar with the occasional walk in. It can get a little packed but for the most part when I've been here the crowd is on the lighter side. I believe there is a DJ on Friday/Sat nights for those looking for music. The burger is pretty good. They also have a little outdoor space in the back which is nice in the summer time. Looking Glass fits the mold of a neighborhood bar, good combo prices, a good burger and laid back vibe. Another good local DC watering hole.

Yelp
That hunk Jeff behind the bar does it all. If you are thirsty he will quench. If you are hungry he will sate. If you are lonely he will excite. If you are sad he will gladden. Thank the Lord for Jeff and the Looking Glass Lounge. V is pretty cool too.

Yelp
You wouldn't think a bar on Georgia Avenue would have good food, but the food here is awesome! You definitely won't be disappointed. Everything I have had here is good. The curly fries with garlic or cheese sauce are soooooo good. Burgers and chicken fingers are great. So yummy!
