L'Opidom

"You only have to take a look at chef Jérôme Roy’s star-studded CV (Gagnaire and Troisgros, together with a star earned at the Couvent des Minimes at Mane-en-Provence) to know he has an ambitious roadmap! Born in Loches, he has returned to his homeland in the company of his spouse, and together they have created this smart, trendy venue. Jérôme deftly crafts modern, creative fare that keeps pace with the seasons and is meticulously sourced from top producers: slivers of duck foie gras, seared oysters from Saint-Vaast, horseradish and ginger with an almond milk dashi stock; seared slices of scallops, roe stock flavoured with herbs, finely diced Jerusalem artichoke, confit of dried lime and Aleppo pepper; segments of pink grapefruit marinated in spicy mulled wine and served with ice cream, meringue and fresh coriander." - Michelin Inspector

Absolutely amazing. Inventive and delicious. The wait staff was perfect in suggesting pairings and providing guidance through each dish.

Michelin-listed Restaurant — Review Introduction: - We dined here as a party of four, and every point below represents a view we all shared. This is our collective experience. ______________________________________________ Pros: Fairly clean dining room... ______________________________________________ Cons: 1. EXCESSIVELY LONG WAITS BETWEEN COURSES. You will spend most of the evening just staring at empty plates, wondering when the next dish will show up. 2. Ear-splitting noise. The room was packed and so loud it became downright unbearable—any sense of atmosphere simply vanished. 3. While the waiters are polite, their answers are cursory and the dish descriptions are minimal at best. 4. The food itself was a disaster. We ordered the ten-course tasting menu and liked only the final two desserts. Everything else ranged from brutally salty to bitter, sour, or simply flavorless. Portions were small, yet we still left most of them unfinished. Even the bread tasted stale. By the fifth course we all just wanted to walk out. 5. Shockingly expensive for such dismal quality. The bill was an unpleasant surprise on top of an unpleasant meal. ______________________________________________ Conclusion Yes, this place appears in the Michelin Guide; honestly, we have no idea why. Our unanimous verdict on the evening is DISGUSTING. I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy. It is, without question, the worst meal I have had at a restaurant of this supposed caliber. One last irritation: at the register the waiter feigned astonishment when we explained what we disliked—it came across as mockery. Repulsive.

It's a 2.5 hour tasting menu. Good flavors and balance. Staff is friendly and we're able to explain all the dishes in good details. The wine pairing also went along very nicely which included restaurants made digestive at the end. Overall a great experience

Fantastic dinner, beautifully presented, and a great welcome by the staff. We took the recommended wine, which included some unusual choices like a fantastic local Vermouth. Definitely worth a try. Will be back next time I'm in Tours

Enjoyed the five course tasting menu with wine pairings. The restaurant is simple but elegant and deserving of its one star. A couple of the dishes were a little too complicated. The service was good but a little hectic at times.

Dined here on a Friday evening and had mistakenly not realised the lunch/evening week menu at €38 was unavailable and it was the next one up at €59. The food was high quality, varied and creative with beautiful presentation but portion sizes were extremely small and overall, we felt the offer was some €15-20 overprcied. Wine selection also overpriced. While staff were friendly and service was efficient, the decor was also dated with an early 2000s feel which sadly added to the slightly pretentious ambience of the place. Among the offer of similar quality restaurants in the Tours area, others do equally as well for a good wad of bucks less.

Great service and a lovely meal which catered really well for me as a vegetarian.
