We were in Davenport to celebrate our anniversary and some members of a band filming a video invited us to Lopiez. We loved it so much we came back the next day to try the vegan pizza. It was delicious! One of the owners introduced himself and was kind and awesome. Now we have to fight the urge to eat every meal there until we leave town...we might not win that battle. Amazing place!

Google
The pizza is fantastic here! I came to the Quad Cities area for work at the Arsenal and am very happy I found this hidden gem. MASSIVE slices starting at $5 is hard to beat! The staff here is also very nice and fun to drink around. I'll definitely be back!

Google
Best prices for New York style pizza in the QC area! Come here for lunch and get a massive NY style pizza slice and a soda for 5$, You can't beat that! The pizza is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. A must visit!

Google
One of the best NY style pies I have had outside the NY area. We had a large margarita pizza and a ham and bacon. For 5 people we had lots of leftovers. A small and large or two smalls probably would of worked if you were not planning on having leftovers.

Elaina

Google
Overrated pizza place, garlic knots has 0 garlic flavor, margherita pizza was ok, not too many mozzarella cheese, and they used diced tomatoes not sliced, basil was over burnt, can’t really taste it. El gringo pizza was good, the only one thing we like. Also, terrible customer service, we were standing at the entrance for almost 5mins without anyone talked to us.

Google
First time here for me and my husby and it was a realy cute place! We loved the ambience and the service seemed to be great! We only ordered take out and was towards their closing time so can't give a strong sense of their whole service capabilities but what we saw and got was great! 👌🏽😊 Found this little spot on Google while trying to find somewhere to get just some big, individual pizza slices at to eat on the road. The place had the giant New York style pizza pie slices and the size did Not disappoint! Lol. Exactly the serving you'd expect as advertised! Lol. Now the quality of the Taste was just so so I'm sorry to say. We wanted to and expected to love this pizza so much by most other reviews I had read but the slices we got, Sausage and Pepperoni for the husby and Pepperoni and Mushrooms for me. They were quite Generous with the toppings for a plus for sure! 👌🏽 But the quality of the taste, the cheese, the sauce, the Pepperonis even, were just Okay for us, not great.. I'd recommend this place to go for a date night maybe as we liked the ambience a lot. 🤷🏽‍♀️ But Thanks for great and friendly service to us newbies to the server girl regardless as she did great! 👌🏽😊

Google
Dynamite cocktails, tap beer and unbelievable vegan pizza. 1991 WCW on the television (Arn Anderson & Larry Zybysko rule) was icing on the cake. Also, my oblivious ass didn't realize that it was the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day and they'd be overrun with drunk Irish revelers from the bar next door. Lucky for me, the service and the pizza were still 100% amazing. Will return often.

Google
EXCELLENT PIZZA! I lived in California and had Tony Gemignani's (if you love pizza you should know who he is) slices and Lopiez is BETTER. Nice alcoholic drinks too.
google avatar

Korey W.

Yelp
You can grab a slice for $5.50 that comes with a can of soda. They always have a pizza of the month, but I've never had it because I don't like tiff raff on my pizza. While I believe quad city pizza is the best, this place is great in a pinch.
google avatar

Mollie G.

Yelp
Dive bar and has the best pizza and drinks. A small place so if you want to eat in, get there early. The pizza was fire. We ordered 2 smalls and still had to bring some home. You can purchase the pizza by the slice or a small or large. The large is MASSIVE. the small is perfect for 2 people to share.
google avatar

Jason D.

Yelp
The service was good. The pizza is very much New York style with paper thin crust. The toppings are generous. The place is industrial/ dive bar aura. The price is high for pizza.
google avatar

Yelp
Got pizza from there tonight and it was FANTASTIC!! Thin, crispy, chewy crust, just the way I like it! Some of the best pizza I've had in 41 years!

Yelp
This is a solid NY style pizza joint! We ordered a couple of pies. A 20-in half cheese half pepperoni and a 10-in bacon and beef. (Though it was really just a 10-in beef because they forgot to add the bacon. And, yes, I was charged for bacon. So, minor annoyance.) Word of warning, the 20-in pizza is huge. It's 8 slices. Most folks will be full with one or two slices. They're big! Another word of warning, the pizza has a bit of spice to it. My wife found it too spicy. I did not. I think it's the crushed black pepper. The crust is really good. The edges have a bit of sweetness to them. They use the cupping pepperoni, which I love. Inside, the joint has a modern look to it. They have a full bar, with what appears to be a lot of local beer choices. We just ordered takeout, so no comments on the drink selection. All in all, it's a good place. Though, if anyone is averse to mildly spicy foods, you might look out for that.

Yelp
Pros: corn meal pizza crust, good flavor, calzones ate huge, reasonable priced Cons: service (guy was extremely rude and seemed annoyed) Calzone Pizza Sauce has a bit of kick (red pepper), some in our family enjoyed it and others did it. Cannot speak for ambiance as it was a take out order. We rated it 7.6 out of 10
google avatar

Lori T.

Yelp
Fun joint! Order at counter and they bring the food to you. Family loves the Arsenal pizza and the Spicy Pina. I enjoyed the calzone. Must try
google avatar

Yelp
Wish I had taken a picture of theses slices so that I could post them...in our current political vernacular, they were...wait for it...yuge.
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
Great array of pies; solid East Coast pizza and I think they add a little crushed pepper to the sauce for some extra kick! It's in the rotation for sure.

Teri M.

Yelp
Good Pizza and brews! Small dining/drinking area, but other than that I highly recommend!
google avatar

Sherri K.

Yelp
Their pepperoni pizza has the perfect spices for me. Their lunch special are affordable. Their large pizzas are huge and can feed 3-4 adults (at least in our house). I would recommend. Easy to get there. Only down fall, not open on Mondays. (Not sure about Sundays).

Yelp
The food here was fantastic! Great New York style pizza joint in downtown Davenport. They were very friendly and quick as far as service, the building is filled with musical references and there was great music playing as well. You can customize your slices and whole pies and the flavors and textures are amazing! I will be visiting again soon! Highly recommend.

Yelp
I have lived all over the world and this pizza is the best comfort food I have had in any town I've lived in. It's not just the food, it's the people, the atmosphere, and the conversations. Love this place
google avatar

Yelp
Browsing their Facebook page, I ran across their special 'za of the month, 'Puerco Loco'. The picture looked amazing and I told myself we really needed this Crazy Pig for dinner. Upon opening of the pizza at home we were quite disappointed. You know how a Big Mac looks in McDonald's commercials, then you open the package and see what you really get? It was kinda like that. Where's the pepperoni and the rest of the toppings? (Picture 1 is their ad, picture 2 is our sad piggy). For nearly $40 for a thin crust pizza, I expect better.

Yelp
Didn't get to try. Hours are wrong. Says it's open until 10.. I walked in around 745 and was told they were done for the night. On a Monday. Fix the hours posted. I wasted 20 min driving here and then having to find somewhere else
google avatar

Yelp
Garlic knots aren't too buttery, they're more like pretzel bread but not salty. They have a slight sweetness to them. I thought it was very good. The marinara is quite spicy but delicious. Service was friendly. Funky kind of vibe place. Pizza slices are really big. One is enough for the average person. For two bottles of sprite, two LARGE slices of pizza and garlic knots, our bill was less than $20 and it was enough to fill us up.

Alicia B.

Yelp
We were in Davenport for the weekend and it was getting late so we decided to go to Lopiez's for a slice of pizza. The staff was very friendly and interactive ! The pizza slices are huge and you can order them anyway you would like! One slice was the perfect amount!
google avatar

Edward M.

Yelp
Huge was pizza! We ordered Half of "Hi, Ya Wanna (Hawaiian Pizza)" and Half of "The R.I. Arsenal." It lasted us days. The R.I. Arsenal is loaded with everything. My wife wasn't really a fan of the meats they used (was very salty), so next time I will get her a veggie pizza.

Yelp
Best pizza around town! Pizza boxes so big they won't fit in your fridge! Rad art, décor, and locals lining up to take a pie To-go. This location has quickly risen in ranks and it's easy to see why. NY pizza with a CA feel & it's just getting better! Stone-fired, fresh ingredients & oils they use for their crusts are setting their products apart. You pay for what you get here! I do suggest saving some cash by ordering a large and sharing it with friends vs. paying per slice. (Support local bands) Play junkyard pinball while waiting for your pie or stop in for a bit to talk w/ locals.

Jill D.

Yelp
Enjoyed our first visit. Not fancy, but really great thin crust pizza! Interesting menu of cocktails, and PBR in a can. What more do you need?

Craig O.

Yelp
Best pizza I've found in the QCA since moving here, and this is coming from a Chicago guy
google avatar

Jade F.

Yelp
Having grown up in New York and then college in Chicago, I've had my fair share of pizza and absolutely love good pizza. I'm thrilled to have found Lopiez in Quad Cities as the pizzas here are extremely solid and very delicious. This was recommended to us by our friend and when we bring our friends here, they love it ad well. :)
google avatar

Thi D.

Yelp
LOVE the pizza here. It's a little pricey, so I only go on special occasions but it's definitely worth it. They create unique pizzas only you can find here. The taste is different from any other pizza place & you can definitely taste the creativity out into the different styles of pizza. My favorite of the marinara salsa they have for the garlic knots. That's a must try! Service is always friendly when I go & always happy to help.
google avatar

Yelp
As other reviews noted the cheese does have a little kick to it due to the peppers, but it was mild enough for me. The garlic pizza was delicious! It was fresh and made to order. The staff were also very nice! I have it four stars because the cheese was basically just cheese and bread, I don't know if there was any sauce on it meaning even though it's a big slice, it's just cheese and bread.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic New York-style pizza with inventive topping combinations! I love the unique vibe of this place. It's basic and punk and rock and casual, making it a perfect fit for the downtown scene. Good mix of local beers. (But damn- barf domestics on tap. Who hurt you?!) Nice bar top seating; it's wide enough to actually sit and eat your lovely pizza. A little loud, but it's a pizza joint that plays great music, so now I know what to expect next time. Now for the pricing: locals and former east coasters are complaining about the per slice price. You pay for what you get, so do you want your servers and cooks to make a fair wage? Do you want above-grade toppings and not dog meat? Ok then. I'm returning to Lopiez and bringing friends. I need to try that margherita pizza next time!

Dallin G.

Yelp
Great great pizza! They have really thick and goopy cheese on the pizza which I love. I ordered the gluten free pizza, and it was shockingly really really good! Normally GF crust is like soggy cardboard, but here, the crust was crunchy and warm. Ambiance was cool and retro, but kind of a small building, not the best for big gatherings.

Yelp
Good pizza, poor service Waited 25 min after selecting drive up online and clicking I was there. Pizza never came. I called twice asking about my order and the man that answered seemed clueless of my order. This man also indicated he has no way of telling how customers chose to pick up their pizza. When he brought it out, I expressed my frustration and he rudely said, "Okay, okay here's your pizza," handed it to me and walked away. It appears there is a glitch the system which I can understand. What I don't understand is how this man did not listen, acknowledge the situation and/or apologize for the miscommunication. I found his lack of empathy, poor customer service and rude behavior to be extremely unprofessional. Word to the wise: if you order on the website, don't choose drive up and be sure to call when you get there despite clicking "I have arrived" on the site.

Yelp
Last summer I went to the downtown location with 3 others. When we placed the order we were told it would be a 40 minute wait, no big deal. One hour later, we still hadn't gotten out pizza. At 1 hour and 15 minutes, the people behind us in line got their pizza. So I went up to the window to see where ours was that we had waited over an hour. The lady argued with me saying it hadn't been even an hour and no one after us had gotten their pizza. I decided never to go back..... Tonight I'm at the RME and no one else was opened, so I thought I'd give them another try. I ordered online and was given the option of going inside to get it or drive up. I chose drive up. BIG MISTAKE! I let them know I was their on their email they sent me. 20 minutes waiting in the car and still no pizza. So I go inside. I explained that I had been waiting. They had no comment or apology, but gave me my pizza right away. I asked if it was cold, and was told no. It WAS cold. While their pizza is good, it's not good enough to make up for CRAPPY customer service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AND WILL NEVER GO BACK.

Yelp
Really freaking good gluten free pizza. Service was top notch. A real gem of a place.

Cheyenne D.

Yelp
Delicious and reasonably priced. Make your own slice and a traditional homemade margarita is my go to!

Heather O.

Yelp
So, I was a hardcore "PineApPle DoeSn't Belong oN PiZza" person. Lopiez changed my mind! I ordered the Hi, Ya Wanna? and added fresh jalapeños. It was absolutely delicious! My husband ordered and devoured the Arsenal Calzone and we ordered plain ole pepperoni for my kiddo. Kiddo's slice was bigger than his head. He really got a kick out of that. We also had a fun time playing the pinball machine! I liked the pizza so much, I went back for lunch the next day and ordered it again.
google avatar

Yelp
$5.75 for this this greasy super thin pizza? You're Nukin Futz! I'm NOT impressed, My friend convinced me to come down and I was like, seriously? Sorry but I wont won't be back for overpriced hipster pizza. I actually had a better slice of pepperoni at Casey's for 1/2 the price yesterday or 2 slices and a drink at Tony's Peace
google avatar

Tom T.

Yelp
Best pizza in the QCA! Thin crust, fresh ingredients and unique combinations create a unique and delicious pizza.

Susan C.

Yelp
Great ny style pizza, not to greasy. Nice thin slices and great flavor. Customer service is amazing as well!
google avatar

Hannah G.

Yelp
Lopiez is definitely bringing something unique to the Quad Cities area! We tried a few (massive) slices at their grand opening. Yum!!! The crust is a thinner crust, with a delicious unique flavor. The sauce has a bit of spice, with super fresh toppings. And their drinks are soo good! I'm excited to try more from Lopiez! *edit* Review #2! We went to Lopiez for the second time, and WOW! Their pizza is bomb. But we reeeally loved their Lo-zones. Empanada meets calzone turns into a fluffy, cheese filled, (plus we added sausage), pocket of heaven. And you get a side of sauce that's so good I could drink it. YUM!
google avatar

Yelp
A vendor of mine brought pizza in for a catered event. Attendees went nuts over this and were fighting to take the leftovers home because we bought way too much. Haven't had pizza this good since I was in Brooklyn.
google avatar

Zach W.

Yelp
Recently moved to the Quad Cities and think this is the best pizza in the area by far. Friendly service and always quick and easy! Great mixed drinks too!!
google avatar

Owen F.

Yelp
Stopped in for my first visit today! Approached the bar to place my takeout order and was greeted by one of the owners. Although there wasn't an empty seat in the house, he took the time to chat with me about the background of the business and the many different food offerings. The atmosphere is great for any age! With their extended hours on the weekend, this would be a great place for a late night snack but also is a great lunch/dinner venue. I have many different food allergies and the business was excellent with their food prep. I was able to enjoy amazing pizza without fear of a food allergy! They have normal pizza selections in addition to some amazing local creations. I will most definitely be back in the future! If you haven't been, it's absolutely worth the trip!
google avatar

Hass H.

Yelp
I recommend getting a pizza pie and sharing. The calzones are large and can be shared with another person. Pizza is closer to NY style pizza- large, thinner slices. Each month a specialty pizza is featured, created by a local artist. There is also a vegan pizza which you don't see often on menus. Try the margaritas. Margaritas are house made, no store bought mixers.

Teri K.

Yelp
decided to try something new tonight and had 'The Arsenal' calzone, I was pleasantly surprised! it was stuffed with lots of toppings and cheese and the crust had a great flavor to it. I'd say it was one of the best I've ever eaten. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Davenport's best New York Style pizza, hands down. This is an area of the country that contributes a fair amount to the national Pizza Lexicon, so that's saying something. For instance; the QC is home to the first ever Taco Pizza, courtesy of Happy Joe's (who also introduced the question, 'what if your creepy uncle dressed like one of the Dapper Dans at Disney world and sold delicious pizza abominations') Next, the QC has its style of pizza, which is crumbled sausage in the sauce, malt in the crust, and cut like crazy bread (which has nothing crazy about it except for an unorthodox slice and shaping style). Finally, we're smack dab in the middle of the lard paunch that hangs over the Breakfast Pizza Belt. The genius who invented this delightfully unholy combo of nacho cheese, rubbery eggs, and pizza is surely on his way to heaven via a botched quintuple bypass surgery now. But I digress. Lopiez is good. Damn good. Like "I deleted the Domino's app from my phone" good. They support local art, sell local beer, have cool local magazines on the counter, and they're actually nice people. I work retail as well, and I know what someone smiling through a shit job looks like. Not here, these Pizza People either are treated well or are well bribed with the pie. Possibly both. Long story short, the Local Pizza Joint is an endangered species in this country, stemming from the COVID pandemic and the horrifically brutal system of capitalism we are trapped in like hamsters on a wheel of eternal misery. This place is one of the great examples of this fading concept. Enjoy it. Pro tip, get the ranchero sauce with the Hawaiian. It's absolutely a treat. Also; if you live in the neighborhood they offer coupons for BOGO calzones and free delivery. It's why I've gone there numerous times, so if the manager is reading this THANKS. Finally, they have an Instagram and it's quality content. #SlicesNotISIS

Yelp
I never thought that pepperoni could be too salty... I would take and other pizzeria's in the QC area over Lopiez pepperoni that they offer. Hy-Vee sells better slices of pepperoni. Not enough sauce on pies and way too expensive. The El Amigo chorizo tasted like regular sausage. Chicken had little taste. Crust has best firmness and texture in QCA but zero flavor. The Marghetita is ok, but again, minimal cheese, sauce, flavor.... But time to move on...

Kathy K.

Yelp
Good pizza. Loud, clean restaurant and quick service. Good for a beer and a slice. Lively atmosphere.

Steve E.

Yelp
First time trying this New York style pizza, and it won't be the last. The 10" size was a great size for one to ensure a piece or two for later. I had pepperoni and sausage, my wife had cheese only. The crust was crispy/crunchy and did have seasoning. My adult son tried the El Gringo calzone and he did enjoy it, but the underside was a bit mushy, and the bacon not really cooked thoroughly. Overall, I loved it, and will go again.
google avatar

Kelly O.

Yelp
The locations of Lopiez are great. My co-worker and I love the meal deal with a slice and soda. Best buy considering the size of the slice. It always smells delicious when you walk in and the customer service is just as amazing. Lopiez advertising is great too, I love seeing your logos out and about.
google avatar

Rebecca A.

Yelp
Great pizza topping, good crust, good marg. Wrestling on the tellies; kinda weird. I don't understand wrestling but it wasn't what I would choose to accompany dinner. Not a date night kind of place. But I'll be back for takeout!
google avatar

Brandon C.

Yelp
Floating in a sea of QC style pizza, Lopiez brings something different to the table. While not the best non-qc option (that title still belongs to Alfano's) Lopiez pizza is pretty tasty. If it were any less tasty, this would be a three star review because the pizza itself is about all from Lopiez that belongs in the amazing category. Everything else is just average. Also, their vegan pizza is amazing!! The main complaint is the price... a large pizza is in the $25 range. That's just too steep for me. Other average-ness: The dining room is small, unwelcoming, and dark--which usually makes it feel dirty. They don't have delivery, which is a major bummer. The parking lot is a nightmare. The tap selection is usually well curated but it's usually limited. I'm an old man so I find the music to be too loud . At the end of the day, the random times I find my wallet feeling a little heavy and I'm not feeling QC style or Alfanos.. Lopiez serves its purpose.

Yelp
LoPiez' biggest selling point is the fact that it's open late on Saturday nights. Second biggest might be the good job that's been done to make it look like a cool place to hang out. The pizza itself is okay, but if it were in a market where there was any other competition, in terms of New York slices, they'd be out of business real quick. They are expensive! Slices start at 5 dollars, and additional toppings START at 75 cents each. For scale, I compared them with Antonio's Pizza in Amherst, MA, and The Piehole in SLC, UT, two pizza places in towns where I've previously lived that also serve large, NY-style slices; both start at less than $2.50 for a slice of cheese with specialty slices costing $3.50, max. Meanwhile my 3 topping slice of pizza at LoPiez set me back about $7.25. It just wasn't that good. Another thing about LoPiez that I found disappointing is that they don't have a display counter or even have any specialty slices on offer. These are standard features at most slices joints. I'll leave you with something my boyfriend said as we were reflecting upon our LoPiez experience: "For another $1.25, I could have had a Pizza & Subs calzone." He is not wrong. If you absolutely must have a NY-style slice, come to LoPiez. Otherwise, I'd recommend skipping it.

Yelp
My pizza senses may be compromised. I have grown bored of the Q.C. pizza regime. Growing up in the 90's and coming back to the Q.C. to visit my Dad for the summer brings back fond memories of an old greasy Q.C. style pepperoni from a few of the old traditional places in particular. The spell has worn off. It's OK, don't get me wrong, I'm not so picky as to not eat it at all. Whenever or wherever I travel, with a little digging and review reading I can easily find a pizza place that exceeds the Q.C. pizza orthodoxy head and shoulders in every category; Quality, Spice, toasted brown cheese and crust that kisses the threshold of being burned to a crisp but takes one step back at the perfect moment. Lopiez in Davenport is throwing down the pizza gauntlet. I write this review based on a single carry out experience. A friend had mentioned Lopiez one Friday morning and we'd decided by lunch to give it a try. The St. Elwood, The R.I. Arsenal and Puerco Loco were ordered, respectively. I was able to snag pieces of The St. Elwood and R.I. Arsenal, though all three looked primed and ready for a provocative pizza photo shoot but we're soon to be devoured by six individuals who were to be smacked into a food coma in return. The St. Elwood was a wonderful balance of tasty chorizo and thoughtfully placed jalapeños; each ingredient scaled perfectly to compliment one another masterfully. Last, but certainly my favorite: The R.I. Arsenal. An admirable load of meats and vegetables, spaced not too sparse, yet not a heaping pile. Artichoke hearts included, the most underrated and under appreciated pizza topping. Lopiez pays respect. I encourage you to visit or carry out and at least try. I don't guarantee anything, other than I received high quality pizza and a lovely change, from Lopiez. Read their ingredient list to get a full picture of what they're throwing down and what I didn't cover. I hope this place persists. -Q.C. Foodie.
