"Loqui could’ve easily just been another run-of-the-mill taco spot people eat at while they shop for high-end hand soap. Instead, it’s become our absolute go-to place for tacos on the Westside. The flour tortillas are thick and chewy, and if you go with the chicken option, the spicy meat provides a nice kick that also doesn’t overpower the rest of the taco. Be sure to put the slightly sweet salsa seca on everything. "Located inside Culver City’s upmarket mini-mall The Platform, Loqui is often used as a pit stop between shopping for high-end hand soap and designer furniture. In the least rude way possible, we see Loqui as a bougier alternative to Chipotle. This casual counter-service spot assembles tacos and bowls, both of which feature Loqui’s braised meats, like zippy cochinita pibil and marinated chicken that packs an unexpected kick. "This little spot inside Platform has a constant line at lunch, but any wait is worth it for some of the best tacos on this side of town. We’re especially into the mushroom ones, served on flour tortillas we regularly think about in 11am meetings. If you’d like to pretend to be healthy, they do a classier version of a burrito bowl.
