Atrium

"A glass dome at the centre of the room lends its name to this intimate dining space, set in a charming hotel with 17C origins. Dinner is an all-round experience, with a tasting menu showcasing the best of the season’s produce. Classic techniques combine with a modern approach and touches of innovation." - Michelin Inspector

GREAT PLACE for afternoon tea!!! We loved our food, the service, and the house. 2 of our party had allergies to gluten and dairy but they substituted a full set of pastries for them, and they were very good! The waitstaff was very knowledgeable about the allergies, and also about their tea selection.

We had a fantastic stay at Lords of the Manor. Our room was ready early and we were upgraded to a beautiful ground-floor suite, perfect for us and our dog, with thoughtful touches like a dog bed, bowls, dog treats and homemade biscuits for us!|The suite was spotless, with lovely linen, fluffy towels and Molton Brown toiletries. The walk to Bourton-on-the-Water via the Warden’s Route was easy, with fresh water spots for our dog, it was a very hot day. Lower Slaughter is very picturesque village too.|Dinner in the Dining Room was outstanding with generous, delicious dishes and impeccable service. Breakfast was just as impressive.|Can’t fault a thing. Thank you!!

We stayed two nights here. The service was attentive. The staff really want to make sure your stay was enjoyable. The garden surrounding the hotel is great for a quiet stroll. We had dinner at the restaurant the first evening. My sea breams were perfectly cooked, seasoned and with crispy skin. Breakfast was included and also excellent. The location is a bit out of the main road but that is part of the charm.

We booked afternoon tea to celebrate my birthday.|Parking was convenient and the venue was as we expected with lovely gardens and plenty of inside and outside seating. Staff very attentive - uniforms of waiting staff could have been a bit sharper presented.|Our afternoon tea was very tasty but there was not enough clotted cream and jam for the six scones. We were given one small ramekin of clotted cream and one of jam.

Beautiful location and manor. Peaceful setting in the countryside. The staff is friendly and helpful and seem to enjoy working here. We had a lovely dinner in the dining room, roasted chicken and an outstanding beet-goat cheese salad. The room we were in, The Edge, was spacious and has Molton and Brown products in the bathroom, as well as a heated towel rack and washcloths! No refrigerators available for rooms however. There are board games and books in the lobby for rainy days. Local hiking trails as well. Very happy here. Highly recommend this classy hotel.

Lords of the Manor is kept in a remarkably good state of repair in both the bedrooms and public areas. Even the plumbing was top notch. The huge garden too is so well looked after that they make a feature of it, with a talk by the head gardener advertised. The staff are also excellent. There is no air conditioning though and I'm glad we left before the temperature reached 30℃. A portable fan is supplied and overheating won't usually be a problem, of course. The breakfast is high quality, though lacking in anything unusual or particularly interesting. For some reason, most hotels burn the toast, so a bonus point to Lords of the Manor for not doing so on all three mornings we stayed there. We didn't try the Michelin starred Atrium restaurant but were very pleased by the food at both lunch and dinner time.

I organised a reunion lunch for my school friend and 17 people came along to the Lords of the Manor hotel in Upper Slaughter. The hotel is a wonderful haven with beautiful gardens front and back and wonderful surrounding countryside. The staff a very helpful and kind and the lunch was greatly enjoyed by all. Some of us stayed at the hotel and enjoyed the restful peace, the lovely rooms and the excellent food. There are beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside. We look forward to another visit in the future.

Title says it all really! The hotel is in a fabulous setting and the grounds are beautiful, especially on a warm sunny day.||We were in a standard room, so didn’t have the box office garden views but nevertheless had a lovely view of upper slaughter church and over the hotel courtyard as well as sitting area and super comfy bed. I have lived in smaller apartments, so if that’s their “standard” I can only imagine what the suites must be like!||Great food and drinks. We didn’t have the tasting menu, but did eat in the a la Carte restaurant twice and could happily have gone back again as there were so many tasty sounding options. There are also options in lower slaughter, which is a pleasant 20 minute country stroll away when you want a change||We also really liked the atmosphere of the place, never feeling stuffy or formal and all the staff were so friendly as well as being excellent.

Yelp
Amazing, beautiful, and cleanest hotel I've ever seen! This is a wonderful hotel! The grounds are so lovely, I wished I could paint! Hotel itself is elegant with generous rooms and amenities. Full delicious breakfast included. And the staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again!! Wish I could give more stars!!

Yelp
If you can - stay here. Very accommodating and very nice people. Didnt thing the food was bad at all. Room was delightful. Take the afternoon and follow the paths through the sheep pastures over to the other little towns - be careful where you step. We walked all over the place and met great people on the same quest as us. One of the best places we stayed in the west of London

Yelp
The hotel is situated in a beautiful and charming area. The surrounding Villages are beautiful and a must see. The grounds of the hotel are well manicured and designed. The hotel staff is accommodating and warm. There is a beautiful design and the upscale charm.

Yelp
This rating is more for the hotel and service more than the food. This manor house is nothing less than splendid. Let me start from the outside garden and yard. The front lawn is so nice with benches overlooking the pond and small hiking trails going off in various directions. The backyard garden is so wonderful with all the flowers and the layout is similar to that of noble gardens of the past, but on a much smaller scale. Other than the dead mouse outside the back door that was there for two days, it really was relaxing. The inside consists of so many halls, doors, and rooms that my wife went down the wrong hall at least three times trying to get back to our room. There are several sitting rooms, lounges, tea room and bar. Although we did not eat at the restaurant for dinner, we had a great breakfast that was one part buffet and we also ordered some more food. In the evening we sat in the lounge and I had one of the local beers which was refreshing. My wife had tea and chocolates. The barman/waiter brought out a large, wooden box filled with at least 20 different chocolates to choose from. They were good! The room was very nice. The room made me feel like royalty and the bed was most certainly fit for someone with high expectations. If you can, I highly recommend at least a one night stay.

Yelp
This is a lovely hotel, and it's in a beautiful spot. We had high tea on a lovely day in April, sitting outside on the gorgeous lawn overlooking the pretty streams and pond at the bottom of the valley. It loses two stars because we had the (pricey) high tea and the bread for the sandwiches was stale - not just turning stale, starting to get hard to chew stale. A shame because the cakes and tea were great, but a place that can serve sandwiches with stale bread isn't getting the basics right.
