Lore - Review - Mission - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"This spot in the Mission contains both a speakeasy and an Alice in Wonderland-themed escape room. Each experience can be booked separately, and the escape room includes a three-course cocktail tasting with drinks designed to mimic the flavors of global dishes like Korean cold noodles, borscht, and wagyu and truffle. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Patrick Wong

Had an amazing time exploring wonderland and escaping before the queen found us. Before going into the escape room I had two drinks, the wagyu old fashion and a dealers choice which was the most delicious godfather drink I think I’ve ever had. Inside the game there were drinks as well which were part of the story and made our experience really interactive. The staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere couldn’t have been better, it truly felt like being in a fairytale. I highly recommend and encourage to come try this place out! You won’t be disappointed.

This place is such a great experience. The vibe is super chill, relaxing, and comfortable—perfect for hanging out with friends. You can grab a board game, enjoy really unique cocktails (ube cheesecake was our fav), and snack while you wait for your escape room, which makes the whole experience feel relaxed and fun from the start. The escape room itself is magical, led by phenomenal guides who are engaging and make the experience feel immersive. We went with a group of seven, and I could see doing a smaller or larger group easily—collaborative, entertaining, and well-paced. Highly recommend for a great adult group outing.

This speakeasy escape room in the Mission is one of the most creative and entertaining experiences I’ve ever had! The Alice in Wonderland theme was absolutely magical — we journeyed through 4 different rooms, each filled with puzzles, clues, and surprises that brought the story to life. With every room we unlocked, we were rewarded with a new cocktail, each one delicious, inventive, and perfectly on theme. It was such a blast to do with friends — a perfect mix of mystery, laughter, and amazing drinks. After the game, we relaxed in the lounge, which was warm and inviting with plush seating, velvety curtains, and that classic speakeasy charm. Oh, and they had really cool themed bathrooms. If you’re looking for something truly unique to do in San Francisco, this is it. Incredible atmosphere, fantastic drinks, and a sense of wonder from start to finish. 🍸🗝️🐇

Came since I know the owner Vy! Good: - The mango sago drink was so tasty - it almost doesn't taste like alcohol at all but it still gets you tipsy! - The ambiance in the Middle Earth Room is awesome - The fact that you can also play any board game you want makes this place even more cool as a place to hang out! - Staff were super nice - Vy and Tom were awesome hosts Bad: - Prices are a little bit more expensive than other cocktail bars Overall this was such a nice experience and I would come back with new friends!

This was the most innovative and engaging businesses I've been to! Not only are they a speakeasy, they are also a restaurant AND an escape room! The speak easy and the Middle Earth dining room was so well decorated. I felt like I was in a movie set! We booked our escape room on a Saturday at 2pm. Upon entering, we were greeted with a complimentary drink while we waited for the game host and signed the waivers. The beginning of the escape room and all the way through it, had fun puzzles that were interactive and new! Many of the puzzles and responses were well designed and very good quality. The room was so immersive. I absolutely enjoyed my time. Throughout the room, we also had cocktails provided to us in the various puzzles! That is definitely not something I've experienced before! At the end, we were surprised with a nice little tea party to celebrate our anniversary! Thank you so much, Lore SF! We had so much fun and we highly recommend this place! Very well done!

Google
TLDR: 10/10 recommend. Unique drinks, amazing service, fun vibe, and very intriguing with puzzles Stepped into Lore SF and wow… it’s part speakeasy, part escape room, and all kinds of magic. Think Alice in Wonderland with cocktails inspired by childhood snacks + savory twists you’d never expect I had Wei’s pineapple cake and it was the perfect reminder of the Taiwanese 鳳梨酥 (pineapple cake.) My friend got an espresso martini, and we all got a shot of tequila. The bacon deviled eggs were a great pairing but what stole the show was the fig & prosciutto flatbread! Dripping with fig jam and perfect balance between sweet and savory — plus, we were greeted with a free guessing puzzle in the form of a secret flavor in apple cider. We each could ask 1 yes/no question and had 1 chance to guess. Everything tied right into the theme and was so much fun! One of the most unique nights I’ve had in SF and will definitely be back for the 100 min escape room and the Tom Kha cocktails amongst the other unique flavors

Google
The cocktails were so delicious I had to get one of each and after drinking all of them way too fast I passed out and woke up at 3am in the escape room that was too tough for my still drunk self to escape from. The staff ended up letting me out the next day when they showed up and found me still trapped inside. 10/10 experience would do it all again those drinks were really quite good.

Google
I usually don’t find escape rooms that interesting, but this one at Lore was genuinely so much fun. Our group of seven all loved it and we were laughing the entire time. The whole experience felt really unique and whimsical without being cheesy or stressful. It was just a great group activity from start to finish. You’ll love all exploring all the different rooms Vy has created for this escape experience. What really made it stand out was the speakeasy bar before and after the escape room. Such a fun place to hang out, with great snacks and drinks. Everything we tried was great, but the Ube Cheesecake drink was next level as it was super creamy and delicious. I’d never tasted a cocktail like that before and would go back just for that. After we escaped, there was even a tea party waiting for us added to the experience. You can tell the owner, Vy, put a ton of thought and heart into this place. It’s clearly designed to be about having a great night and making people happy Highly recommend for groups and we can’t wait to go back again!

Yelp
The most inviting, comfortable, and memorable bar that a group of us stopped at while on a bar crawl on a weekend night. The vibes, ambience, music/noise level were wonderful (we could actually talk with each other without shouting across the table). The staff were very friendly. The cocktails were outstanding. Highlights: - They have NA options for many of their cocktails which were unique, tasted amazing and are perfect for people who want to reduce or eliminate alcohol consumption. - A member of the staff even did some amusing magic tricks occasionally - Multiple themed rooms which was fun to explore (looked like they had board games too)

Yelp
We've done many escape rooms and this ranks high on the creative and unique aspects. The host (white rabbit) really made the experience feel immersive as well. We weren't too sure how the drinks were going to factor in, but it was pleasantly sprinkled in throughout the escape room and fit in the theme so well. Highly recommend going for the escape room!

Yelp
I was excited to try this new speakeasy in the Mission showcasing fun puzzles and hidden, interactive games. Ordering is easy via qr code and my friend and I got the Korean Cold Noodles and Tom Kha cocktails to try. I thought both were pretty good a 4/5 for drinks but could have used more of a punch. Between the drinks, I prefered the Tom Kha which was nice and creamy from the coconut but I wish there was more of the tangy lemongrass and lime flavor I love in tom kha soup. Similarly I thought that while the Korean Cold Noodles had a nice naengmyeon broth flavor, I wish the gochujang pipette provided more flavor. Overall it's a fun space and I enjoyed playing some of the simpler games. I'm excited to see where this goes!

Yelp
The escape room was a cool experience! Drinks were mid. Wish they played into the Alice in Wonderland theme a bit more with the drinks and storyline. Escape room itself was a little janky (lol) and on the easy side -- high success rate, but also because our White Rabbit guide was gracious in hint-giving. Though a good few of the puzzles were whether you knew it or not (eg, riddles) vs puzzles that could be figured out over time. Our guide was what stole the show, as he impersonated the role well and made everything light-hearted and fun. Enjoyed the celebratory tea party at the end!

Yelp
What a great new concept! It's exciting to see a new business in the Mission that adds to the culture here. Tried a few of the drinks and some food items and all were great - the real star is the food-inspired drinks though! Highly recommend the mango sago and cold noodle drinks. Did not do the escape room, but am excited to go back and do this next time! Also five stars for the staff, they were so attentive and engaging (there is a mini game even if you are there only for drinks)

Yelp
Very quirky and cute! Well thought out speakeasy! There's two rooms, the main room and a medieval themed room. We were situated in the medieval room, which felt like we were flashed back to the medieval days with their medieval remixes of top hits. The room was well decorated and even had puzzles within its decoration. There was also a whole stack of board games you can play. As for drinks, I thought they had unique drinks but felt like it was once again like any other spot where they try to make food-like cocktails but the "food" flavors fail to show up. Service was great! Swiftly got our drinks and we were even presented with a guessing game in the beginning to win a lil token! Overall was definitely a different cocktail experience for sure!

Yelp
A group of 6 total of us came here to do the escape room and enjoy cocktails after escaping. and wow this place is amazing and creative!! escape room: The Alice in Wonderland theme of the escape room was well thought out and the escape room itself was straightforward and not too challenging for my group of seasoned escape room go-ers (I think we finished in an hour but were given an hour and 40 min). the cocktail tasters that came in little plastic vials throughout the escape room was a fun and pleasant treat that you felt like you earned. there is a live actor/host, and he was funny and accommodated our group's tardiness (thank you for understanding!!!) speakeasy/cocktails: we made reservations for the speakeasy itself for right after the escape room, but there wasn't too much foot traffic on the sunday afternoon we went. my group and i shared a few drinks: Mango Sago (on the sweeter side), Tom Kha (refreshing), Wei's Pineapple Cake & the Borscht. The owner (?) also provided the Kimchi Martini and deviled eggs on the house due to long wait time. All the cocktails taste accurate and delicious, which was especially surprising for the Kimchi Martini. I wouldn't personally order it again, but all kimchi lovers need to try this!! Their menu is still a bit experimental as the staff listens to the feedback of their customers, so just an fyi food: We ordered flatbread and bulgogi nachos (with entire bulgogi chunks in it!!), which also hit the spot for our group although a little pricey (thanks SF). the flatbread had very interesting flavors such as butter chicken and corn cheese. there was a hint of honey added to the butter chicken that made the flatbread delicious. transportation: Parking was also pricey/rough. All of my friends came from outside SF, & we all decided to drive in and park at the nearby Hoff Street Garage, which charges $5 an hour or $25 for 12 hours. The 16th and mission bart station is also very close by, so i would recommend that if you want to avoid sf's parking situation. The owner is so sweet & passionate both about escape rooms and the drinks, & she is absolutely amazing. Lore is working on another escape room, hopefully to open in the next 6 months. I am super excited and would definitely come back to try the next escape room!!

Yelp
There's a certain sense of creativity and passion that felt lost from San Francisco for the longest time, but the owner of Lore has managed to create what is arguably the most unique, immersive experience at a cocktail lounge that I've seen to-date. I cannot recommend Lore enough! Upon our arrival, the owner of Lore personally checked us in and showed us around the establishment. There are a ton of cool puzzles and hidden, interactive games built into the building. Not everything was 100% working when we visited, but the potential of the place is amazing! Our cocktails were quite mystical and well-presented. I think the flavor of them can be improved a bit more; some of them tasted a bit watered down, but the flavor profile was amazing. The best part of the experience was that a live actor would walk around the bar and give us puzzles to solve. We thoroughly enjoyed this aspect and I can't commend the staff enough for such a great job interacting with all the customers. The puzzles were perfectly challenging enough that they were solvable within 15 minutes (for me, under 5 minutes for my genius of a partner :P). I'll 110% be back to Lore once it's more established and see how the place has grown. I think there are still a few kinks to work out but the vision of this place is truly inspiring. My partner and I agreed this is probably the best cocktail lounge we've been to in a long time!

Yelp
This place was amazing!! I felt the urge to share the excitement even though I just left the place less than 1 hr ago. I found them on instagram randomly right before grand opening, but didn't have a chance to visit until today. Speakeasy PLUS escape room??? Such a cool concept. Their Asian fusion cocktail was a huge plus too. It's 3 of my favorites combined in one place, so I might be biased. After arriving, we discovered there was a(nother) themed room with puzzles and board games, so that made the experience even more fun. I didn't get to do the escape room this time, so I was a bit worried it wouldn't be fun. I was wrong. I was entertained from the second I stepped in. We were given 3 chances to guess the flavor of the welcome drink. Then, the owner came to invite us to walk around and explore the space. Even the bathrooms have themes! Each stall has a different decor. The board games were new (some were still wrapped). There were a couple common games (codename) , but most were games I haven't seen yet/haven't had the chance to play yet. That's not all. The server came back to give 2 performances when the room was pretty full. Oh, for the drinks, we have yuzu margarita, mango sago, and Wei's pineapple cake. I liked all of them. Yuzu one was as expected, but very good. Mango sago and the pineapple cake cocktails were very unique and it was good. They also had great choice for the music. The only thing I'd recommend would be adding a water station in the back room as well. Also, it'll probably be in their best interest to add a sign to not force anything. My fiance and I've had many escape room experiences so we knew when to stop when attempting the public puzzles around the speakeasy, but I can imagine people accidentally breaking things in an attempt to figure what the puzzles do (no clues were provided there).

Yelp
This place is SO special. Vy, the owner, is so passionate about creating a fun, fantasy-filled space. Walking under the "puzzle" door in the Mission, you enter a cozy, red-lit area. Hang out here for delicious cocktails and Asian-inspired bites. Or try out the Alice in Wonderland-themed escape room through the secret bookshelf door. To the left, you'll see a speakeasy-within-a-speakeasy that is Lord of the Rings-themed. Even the bathroom stalls are themed after books. There has been so much thought and love put into every corner. It's worth stepping inside and giving into the magic!

Yelp
Unique experience with a speakeasy/bar experience in the front and an escape room in the back! They also have lots of games for people to play if/when they're not doing the escape room. Super easy to book via Yelp too! The drink selection is similar to Double Chicken Please in NYC with a huge influence from Asian food. My friends and I tried a variety of drinks (priced $19 - 25): Korean Cold Noodles - 3/5 Out of all of the drinks, this probably stood out the least because it didn't really taste like naengmyeon. Tom Kha - 3/5 definitely an interesting drink like you're drinking soup; glad I tried it for the uniqueness but probably wouldn't get it again b/c idk if I can do a sour/salty alc drink LOL. This was also by far the biggest drink and took us a while to finish. A5 Wagyu & Truffle - 4/5 Presentation was so good; they came out with a cloche and when they opened it, a bunch of smoke came out. You could smell the A5 Wagyu everywhere and especially on the drink. This was definitely one of the stronger drinks with it mainly consisting of bourbon. You can taste the smokiness really well. PBB - 4/5 This came with some chocolate and banana chips! The drink was on the stronger side and definitely had sweet notes. Mango Sago - 5/5 Our favorite drink of the night! It didn't taste like alcohol at all and was extremely smooth. This tasted exactly like how you would expect it to! Matcha Redbean - 3.5/5 This was a lot thicker than I thought it would be and was more redbean-y than matcha. I liked this more than the Tom Kha and Korean Cold Noodles but not sure if I would get it again considering the small portion. Wei's Pineapple Cake - 3/5 Not sure if I tasted much of the pineapple cake vibe it was going for but overall still yummy b/c dessert like! Tres Leches w Salted Egg - 4/5 Yummy sweet drink. I didn't taste any Salted Egg but definitely strong milk flavor. Everything was so beautifully presented! We really wanted to try the Permission Negroni but unfortunately, they were sold out. Overall, a fun concept with fun drinks; we would've preferred more alcohol in the drinks but still good! We didn't do the escape room experience but people seem to really like it. Also, the staff were so friendly and sometimes gave us puzzles to solve! They seem to be trying different things out with drinks so I'm excited to come back again!

Yelp
This spot has a unique concept with the puzzles available, mystery fruit cider, escape room, themed rooms/costumes, and cocktail menu featuring app/main/dessert drinks. I just got back from NYC and honestly didn't mind that they copied Double Chicken Please for their cocktail menu. I tried their version of the "Japanese Cold Noodle" drink from DCP and it was delightful! We also tried 3 all of their flatbreads and they were all pretty good. I'm looking forward to going back to sample more of their cocktail menu!

Yelp
Fun spot with potential! We came on a Saturday, earlier in the night so it wasn't too busy. The host was super welcoming and gave us a quick tour of the space. They have a Lord of the Rings room at the back which was cool! In terms of the drinks, they have cool Asian inspired flavors. We tried the matcha red bean and mango sago. The mango sago was super tasty. But the matcha red bean was a little bland, and mostly tasted like shochu with a hint of red bean. No trace of matcha and the drink was white. The bar area also has a lot of games if you want to play with your table. The decor was also unique. They also have an escape room which sounds fun to try. Overall, a solid new space in the Mission!

Yelp
Drinks were delicious and loved the flavors. I especially liked the mango sago, it tasted like spiked hey tea. Pineapple cake cocktail had actual pineapple cake on top which was good. I do think the price is really high for the amount you get. The flavors were unique and I enjoyed my drinks. Service was pretty fast and really nice. Interior was dark, intimate, and had games to play on the wall in the back. The games were kind of hidden and blended with the decorations but love that they included them for customers. Loved the themed lounge is the back, it is a bit hidden and felt a bit secluded from the rest of the bar. It was behind the bathrooms and it was very thoughtfully detailed and immersive. While I enjoyed my time here, I think there could be room for improvement! I came at 7, an hour after opening but they didn't have the butter chicken flatbread so we got the smoked salmon flatbread which was good. Overall my experience was 3.75/5, would consider doing the escape room next visit!

Really cool speakeasy vibe with really crafty cocktails and games. Service adds to the ambiance :)

Yelp
Such a cool and unique concept! This bar combines creative cocktails with an escape room-style vibe -- definitely not your typical night out. There's a great variety of interesting drinks to try, each with its own twist and presentation. What really makes it stand out is the interactive element -- you can solve puzzles, find hidden keys around the rooms, and even mingle with others to uncover clues. It's social, fun, and super memorable. Perfect for groups or anyone looking for something a little different!

Yelp
I was super excited that Lore finally opened after following them on social media for a while! As fans of Lord of the Rings, we were really excited to check out the Middle Earth-themed room. I made a reservation for a Saturday evening, and we were seated immediately. The environment is super cool! I loved the vibes and ambiance. Drinks-wise, the menu looked amazing. We went with the Korean Cold Noodles and Mango Sago, which were both phenomenal. I loved how well thought out the drinks were--the Korean Cold Noodles smelled exactly like the dish and tasted savory but good. The Mango Sago was very dessert-like. We really enjoyed both drinks! The server also brought out a game for us, which we had a lot of fun with. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit to Lore, and I hope to be back soon to try out more menu offerings!

Yelp
I came to this speakeasy to grab drinks for my one of my friends birthday with a group of 6. Coming in, the ambiance was low light, intimate. We were immediately seated since we had a reservation for 9:45pm. We ordered our drinks at around 9:55pm; at 11pm only 3/5 drinks were brought to us (shown on the picture). We went through 2 servers and was told that drinks were backed up AFTER waiting for over an hour. The redeeming experience here was our first server taught us how to play Bull S**t with dices. If you're looking for drinks, I highly do NOT recommend this place. Oh also, make sure you bring a fan or something, it gets really stuffy.

Yelp
Come with MEEEEE... RUN, don't walk... J/k! Ok, in all seriousness, Lore is going to be the new IT place in the city for a night out. They're a brand new Speakeasy AND Escape Room where you can get your drank on while solving a series of puzzles to escape. I read that the owner/brainchild, Vy spent her entire life savings on building Lore from scratch....alone. She visited DBI (city inspections) over 80 times to make this happen. I also found her Reddit post detailing her experience and offering to answer questions for others navigating the tumultuous process of opening a new business in the city. I admire her drive, preserverance, and positivity...so I had to come to support. Taking over the long closed El Tin Tan, Lore soft opened today just steps away from Bart. Rezzies on Opentable; separate rezzies for the Speakeasy and Escape Room. Our rezzies had to be pushed back several times due to the city's red tape but the owner was very apologetic and offered guests a free app, deviled eggs, and an aperitif. I'm claustrophobic so no Wonderland themed Escape Room (w/ live actors) for me. Starts at $89 pp for 100 minutes. Thirsty Thursday at their speakeasy it is! Q R M E N U CYO Three-Course Cocktail "Dinner" ($19-$29 per cocktail)... Borscht, Korean Cold Noodles, A5 & Truffle, Mango Sago, or Tres Leche w/ salted egg cocktails anyone?! For tapas ($17-$28), there's AZN and global fusion deviled eggs, salad, ceviche, and flatbreads. D R I N K S * Borscht: Gin, beets, apple, citrus, dill, egg white ($20) Savory with a balanced subtle sweet and sour flavor and nice creaminess from the egg foam. * Korean Cold Noodles w/ brandy, pear, pineapples, cucumber, sesame ($19) With hot girl summer here (ok, maybe not in the city), the naengmyeon inspired cocktail was very refreshing with savory tangy sweet notes reminiscent to the real deal. The sesame oil added a nutty finish. S E R V I C E Warm, welcoming, and positive vibes all around. A M B I A N C E Sexy red and black cabaret vibes with a handful of cocktail tables and bar seating. There's also a hidden lounge area in back. P A R K I N G Take public transit or a ride-share. If you have to drive in, the nearest garage is half a block away at Hoff/16th (turn right into the alley when you see Wells Fargo). Overall, Lore is an awesome addition to the city's craft cocktail and nightlife scene. You won't find deliciously unique food-inspired cocktails like this anywhere else in the bay!

Yelp
Awesome speakeasy after enjoying some fun in the sun at Dolores Park down the street! The Middle Earth room was bright & festive with today's top hits being played with a flutes & other simple instruments. Enjoyed some drinks & they have a bunch of fun games to choose from while you're there!

Yelp
Lore Passion. That's the first and most important word that I can give about Lore. The passion in the drinks and food, and how much thought was put into each one. The passion in the decor of both the bar and the escape room. The passion the owner, Vy, has put into every single step of finally opening the doors on this project. And it has paid off. Even along the way when they were speed bumps, she was so gracious in communicating with future patrons and more than making up for something that was ultimately out of her control. I'm so glad that this place is now open. I'm so glad that San Francisco has another spot that exudes and is bursting with love and spirit. And I'm so excited for even more people to discover it.

Yelp
Really cool concept that I don't think I've seen anywhere else in the US: an escape room with a live actor and cocktails. Totally worth it as a team activity or with a group of friends. The live actor was hilarious and provided plenty of clues. The space looks small when you enter but it goes on and on. The escape room has a lot more rooms than I've seen before and a nice ending where you can regroup and reflect on your experience. Hope this concept takes off in more locations!

Yelp
I can't comment on the food because we did not eat but the Mango Sago cocktail was a little too sweet for my taste. The service was a little slow considering we were the only patrons in the place. After our cocktail we headed over to our escape room experience. This was my 3rd escape room and I have to say by far the best. The rooms were themed perfectly, the clues not easy but easy to understand. We were a large group and each room accommodated us perfectly. The "Mad Hatter" made the experience pleasantly pleasant and was a great guide/narrator. The drinks inside the escape room were not the best (The second drink tasted like cough syrup) After we "escaped" we walked into the Mad Hatters tea party. I was not expecting such a lovely warm enchanting way to end the experience. Definitely add this excursion to your bucket list

Yelp
Broke out of my Yelp retirement for this one. Vy was so amazingly friendly, and the staff made sure to make me feel welcome. I was SO impressed to hear that they'd only been around a few months. The craftsmanship of the pop up spaces was SO cool. The drinks I had were also delicious, and the two folks behind the bar were so easygoing. You can definitely tell this is a place made from passion. I haven't had the food or experienced the escape room so I can't say much on tbose, but what I CAN say is I can't wait to visit again on my next trip and cannot wait to see what they think up next.

Yelp
We did the Alice in Wonderland themed escape room and our party of 6 had a great time! As far as escape rooms go, it's about medium difficulty, there were some very clever and fun clues but overall it was very linear - in some cases just 2-3 people working on the next unlocking puzzle. I think they recently upped the number of participants from max 6 to 7, but I'd say 5-6 is probably the right size. Our session was before the speakeasy opened and the entrance is a pretty nondescript door (as I suppose Speakeasys ought to be). My friend almost gave the person outside the door asking for change her ID thinking he was the bouncer. The actual escape room experience took us a little under an hour and our game master host was friendly and fun. Much of the game is narrated via overhead speakers. It felt like parts of the game were unlocked via the game master seeing you take a set of actions rather than the game being set up mechanically to unlock. Anyway, Hope to be back in the future for the speakeasy part! The drinks that came with the game were fun and on theme with Alice and I wish I had more time to enjoy them. Understandably they were served during the game in little vials - but all their photos are of beautifully crafted drinks ... not sure why I was thinking I'd be falling through a rabbit hole with a martini in hand!

Yelp
The drinks are so unique and the interior is beautiful! :) The bartenders were prompt with service and had great suggestions when we were considering what to order. Lore is a must-visit!

Yelp
Creative immersive escape room experience, on theme, tasty cocktails. Cocktails are creative and tasty, though seemed more like a small mini cocktail considering price (escape room). Speakeasy cocktails were normal sized and tasty. Friendly service, still a new business. Female owned business, minority owned. Clean bathrooms. Speakeasy includes some fun little board games. Convenient location and street parking. Beautiful themed space. Could use some ventilation which I believe they are currently constructing. Recommend this escape room and speakeasy.

Yelp
The new secret spot in SF... that deserves to be on @secret.sf. Good and drink was amazing. Love the vibes and concept. I recommend the matcha, mango and flatbread. Watch the videos to see for yourself.

Yelp
Drinks and ambiance were nice, however I did have an issue after. I noticed I got charged a surplus amount when I checked my credit card, and the same thing happened to my friend as well. That's definitely not okay. Would definitely make sure to double check your credit card transactions to make sure you're not getting ripped off. You can see that I got charged an extra $4, from $20.38 to $24.38. And my friend got charged an extra $15.66. Edit: Vy, you reached out to me via email saying the 20% charge was either due to 1) gratuity (we did not have a party more than 6 people) or 2) it was due to our tab being open. We already closed our tabs right when we ordered so the 20% charge should not have been added.

Yelp
If I could rate this higher than five stars I would--we did the Alice in Wonderland themed escape room to say goodbye to a friend and it was amazing! We had to choose a later time because of flight delays for a friend but it was wonderful. Our guest host, the white rabbit, was so funny and cheerful even with the late timing. The puzzles were fun, the drinks were great and the atmosphere was amazing. I only wish I stopped by Mission more often so I could attend their game nights. this is what all escape rooms should be.

Yelp
Came since I know the owner Vy! Good: - The mango sago drink was so tasty - it almost doesn't taste like alcohol at all but it still gets you tipsy! - The ambiance in the Middle Earth Room is awesome - The fact that you can also play any board game you want makes this place even more cool as a place to hang out! - Staff were super nice - Vy and Tom were awesome hosts Bad: - Prices are a little bit more expensive than other cocktail bars Overall this was such a nice experience and I would come back with new friends!

Yelp
10/5 stars. I wanted to hold a birthday party with 12 people at Lore, Vy and her team made it one of the most memorable and fun evenings ever. Everything was so well designed from the speakeasy atmosphere, to the delicious drinks, to the fun games in the beginning, the bunny host, and the Alice in wonderland escape room theme. At the very end of the escape room there was even a birthday celebration room with decorations and a birthday sign. I was so touched by how much went into making our party have an incredible experience. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back with more friends! Vy was also incredible to work with and answered all my questions about hosting a large party; she is the absolute best!! We are so lucky to have this new bar and escape room experience in SF!

Yelp
The most creative escape room I have ever experienced. The White Rabbit/guide was such a hoot and really helped make this Escape Room whimsically mad.

Yelp
Great creative cocktails. The mango sago and the Korea cold noodle drinks were our groups's favorite

Yelp
I saw TikTok's of this place that really hyped it up but I thought it was just okay. I sat in a table in the back and the room was kind of creepy and dark. At first there was no one else beside our party but then a few others were seated next to us. The speakers weren't working and there was no music which meant I could hear every single conversation around me. They had a few games around the tables which we played for a bit. The food and drinks were just okay - overpriced and had strange flavor profiles. Maybe they're just new and still getting situated, so I would maybe try them out again in a few months.

Yelp
I came here with some friends on a Friday night. I thought about whether to give this spot 2 or 3 stars, but ultimately decided on 3. First thing I'll say is that I really really like the atmosphere. Cozy and comfortable. Perfect place to hang out with friends, chat through the night, or play games. Not too loud. A little mysterious. Staff were friendly. Great vibe! However, I ordered an NA mango sago cocktail and it was absolutely horrible. I could barely finish it. $16 is also expensive for a tiny drink with no alcohol. It tasted very watered down and bland. It wasn't even refreshing. I would have preferred a mango sago drink from a boba shop. I felt the same way about the NA tres leches. The cold noodle drink was a little better. Overall, great place to chill but the drinks need improvement.

Yelp
Really awesome place. I don't usually like escape rooms but had so much fun here. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Tldr go check it out cuz the food and drinks were yum and there was no wait for walk in! Found a new bar so I thought I'd check it out. Went without a reservation on a saturday night at 10pm ish and I was seated right away. Me and my boyfriend were seated at the bar and ordered 6 drinks and 2 tapas in total. There was about 5-10 minutes wait time for the drinks which is well under the standard wait time and the food came within 10-15 minutes. All the drinks were so yum and looked so unique and. i wish i could drink more. Highly recommend mango mochi, tees leches, pbb bourbon, tom kha. I forget the other two.

Yelp
Beautiful space with unique cocktails! They very kindly accommodated a large group (12 people) for drinks in the back room. We sampled a bunch of their drinks and were very impressed, especially with the A5 Wagyu whiskey cocktail! Love that there is an escape room here. We saw bits of the escape room ethos in the bar area (small puzzles to play with), and would love to come back to do the full experience.

Yelp
My friend and I visited last night and absolutely loved it! From the witty decore to the exquisite cocktails to the clever mystery surprises. Lore turned our night into a playful and fun experience. We ordered a handful of amazing cocktails, ate delicious Bulgogi Nachos, and the service was fantastic. There's much to uncover. We definitely will be coming back!

Yelp
The only thing "speakeasy" about this place is the hidden entrance--everything else was a complete mess. From the moment we stepped inside, it felt like we had walked into a sauna. No air conditioning, just stifling, stagnant heat that had our entire party visibly sweating and red-faced within minutes. Easily 78-80 degrees inside, and we were fanning ourselves just to stay somewhat comfortable. The service was abysmal. We were a group of seven, and our drink orders arrived in scattered waves over the span of an hour and a half--with long gaps between each. Two drinks came out after 25-30 minutes, another three nearly an hour later, and only after complaining did we finally receive the last of our drinks. Even then, the order was incorrect. We asked for two mango sagos; they brought one. Then remade another drink they had already served. Total chaos. As for the drinks themselves--terrible. I ordered the non-alcoholic mango sago, which somehow cost $17 and tasted like watered-down tap water with the faintest hint of mango. Genuinely one of the most unpleasant drinks I've ever had. Staff repeatedly apologized, but apologies don't make up for complete disorganization, long wait times, or a miserable atmosphere. There was no sign of a manager or anyone taking control. It honestly felt like no one was in charge. We only had a reservation for the bar since the escape room was fully booked. But based on this experience, it's clear the bar is just a poorly run dive masquerading as a speakeasy because of its gimmicky puzzle shop front. Do yourself a favor--skip this place!!! San Francisco has far better speakeasies that actually live up to the experience. This one just isn't it. We visited on 07/19 (reservation was set to 9:45pm) to celebrate my sister's birthday to only end with a disappointing night noting that we were actually very excited to visit this establishment!

Yelp
Lore Speakeasy (amazing name btw) is a hidden gem with an incredible Asian-inspired cocktail and food menu. The entrance is cleverly disguised, but once you're inside, you're transported into an intimate, dimly lit space with amazing atmosphere. Perfect for small gatherings or dates. I ordered the Mango Sago and it was delicious, I could have had five more. Service was attentive and fast. Excited to come back for more + check out the escape room when it's open!!

Yelp
Cute little place that is working out the kinks. Some of their tables were missing menu QR codes so they printed up new ones for us. They have really interesting drinks that are themed after classic dishes. The service was great. We had a delightful server John? Who was very attentive and helpful. The decor is very 70s with red mood lighting. We would come back here again.
