Wow!!! What can I not say about this chicken. Each piece is a great size. The crisp is just right and the sauce they have on their is great especially the hot one. Definitely my place to go for wings. Located in the mall in the food court so you will be getting your steps in. Customer service is 5 star. The wait is not long. Price is right for what you get. The fries are also good.

They're back! At Lloyd center!! If you missed them with their food cart, now is your time to try the most delicious chicken and fries in Portland at their new location. Also! You get to meet the loveliest of people. They make great food and you can tell they love doing it. ❤️ I highly recommend getting their spicy/sweet sauce. Always get fries because fries are life. Wings or tenders, just choose your preference it's all good. Honestly I usually order more than I can eat at the moment because the left overs are sooo good. 🤤 Till next time! Cheers 🍗

What a legendary spot. Wasn’t expecting anything but they were having a great time there and had a huge line at around 2/3. Had to give it a try and glad we did. Perfect crispy chicken. Amazing sauce. And the hot honey was what set this apart. They take care in even the smallest details. Like cutting a slit in the top of the box so chicken does not get soggy. Even the bread is a great touch to mop up the box. 10/10. NOT YOUR TYPICAL MALL FOOD! Go out of your way for this.

My partner wanted to find the best fried chicken in Portland and luckily was not disappointed when google showed this as best rated! He is a Chicago native and when read they do Chicago style it was done deal. He got the hot honey whole wings and I the mild tenders, both were very good as well as the fresh fries with it! Although it was our first time going into that mall location and it wasn’t ideal, it was definitely worth it to know we were getting the best fried chicken in Portland! We left with our tummy’s full and tastebuds/cravings satisfied! Not to mention the popping bubbling sounds of the chicken being cooked in the deep fryer so you know it was fresh :)

I have never been a big fan of fried chicken but Lorell’s is SO GOOD! Best fried chicken and tenders! Only place I will eat fried chicken at. Their two sauces are delicious and love the homemade fries. Owner are so friendly and welcoming. Check them out!

I was visiting from Maryland for a work trip and someone at the conference mentioned this place for lunch and said it was really good so me&my colleague decided to try it. It was in fact really good! Probably the best wings I’ve had in a long time! Customer service was really good & portion size was great. I thought the sauce was slightly salty but other than that i highly recommend. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to go back when I do I’ll be stopping back by!

Hands down the best fried chicken tenders I’ve ever had in my life and also probably the fastest someone has ever served me at a restaurant. Amazing!!! Must try. 👍

Been wanting some GREAT simple fried chicken like this. Taste like some of that good ol great grand Mama's fried chicken and homemade fries. And the hot honey sauce is the business. Had mine on the side to dip my chicken. DEFINITELY will be going back. SOON!!

FIRE. DELICIOUS. AMAZING. SO GOOD. LoRell's Chicken is outstandingly delicious. Great flavor and great crunch! We've been to LoRell's when it was located in a food pod. Now it's located on the 3rd floor of Lloyd's Center (food court area). This chicken is cooked from the soul. So much flavor, juicy and a great crunch! We cannot wait to come back, whenever we are in Portland! The owner is such a good vibe! This place is a must if you are local or even visiting! Cannot recommend LoRell's Chickn shack enough! Go get you some chicken!

Pluck me I'm done! I'll never have to search for yummy chicken again as long as LoRell's is around! The tenders are covered in a magic dust of spices that makes them POP! Lloyd center is beating with the heart of LoRell's!

This is the best fried chicken I had since leaving Mississippi. It tastes fresh, crunchy with all the right seasoning, and flavors is on point. Customer service is great, friendly and makes you feel welcome. The Lloyd Center is pretty empty, there's tables and the area is very clean. And they play nice old school music.

Let down by this place :( Was excited to try after the raving reviews online, but was disappointed. The chicken and fries came piping hot, but the tenders and wings weren't super crispy, and the insides weren't super moist. We also tried both sauces, but didn't enjoy the mild sauce and the hot honey sauce just tasted like buffalo sauce. Maybe they had an off day, but you can find better tenders and wings elsewhere, and at a better price point as well.

Really great chicken... from one of the nicest people you could ever meet! We were going to be driving, so I asked him if the strips were as good as the wings, and he told me "It's all great!" with a huge smile. Well, absolutely then, an order of chicken strips with the honey hot sauce it would be. He assured me that it was hot enough to be tasty, but not so hot as to make you sweat or anything challenging like that. He was right on all counts! I've really never had chicken strips like this... delightfully crispity chrunchity, lightly glazed in a honey hot sauce and then something else, is it cheese, I dunno, sprinkled over it. Oh, this was wonderful, really wonderful and, despite being all white meat, was not dry at all. The flavors all really popped and made this the kind of experience where you are like "what is that? Yum!" But the real 5-star business has to come from the extra generous and loving personality of the owner. My goodness! Most times I am there, he is walking about, checking on customers to make sure they are happy, saying hello to everyone, his customers or not, even giving out hugs to those of us so lucky. He has become something like the ambassador of this cart pod! And, as such, I need to ask you for something, Portland. Good food. Wonderful guy. We WANT to keep this around and here comes Winter and all that weather that can drive a cartster right into the ground. Lorelle's is right by the parking, so you can eat at the covered tables, inside the bar (you don't need to order a drink to sit there), or even in your car. So, please, please, help keep this wonderful business BUSY. He deserves it and we don't want to lose him and his wonderful chicken!

Really tasty, crispy good chicken. I'll be back to try wings and the other sauce. We ordered with hot honey but it seemed like it was just regular hot sauce. Luckily, I had hot honey at home and it was delicious on the chicken. Fries were good too, perfectly salted. Friendly folks; always great to have a new tasty cart in our RCP pod!

Had the pleasure of having this food at the Vanport Jazz Festival. It is unbelievable how good this chicken is -- wow. Seriously the best friend chicken I've ever had in my life . I had 4 wings with hot honey sauce and fried. I am a flats girl so I split them with hubs. The crunch, the flavor, the sauce- all absolutely delicious!!

Good but, falls short of great. The chicken tenders I got were nice and juicy which was awesome. And that sweet and spicy sauce was awesome. I just wish it was crispier. It was more flakey than crispy. I like to bite into a thick amount of breading and get that crunch. The fries were similar. They were fresh, but weren't very crispy. I wish they were crispy.

Tried this spot at the Rose Festival yesterday and this spot hit. The breading on the chicken was gas and the chicken was crispy and was juicy af. The customer service was top tier they know what they're doing. I tried the hot honey 8 piece. The pricing is pretty decent as well. Would definitely visit this spot again.

Sad box of thigh meat. Like missed the mark. Lost me with that order. The meat was thin, dry and charred too much.

Amazing customer service, so friendly and kind and honestly if I could give a higher score I would. The genuine personality and care he showed us was beautiful. My son ate all my fries and my husband and I finished all of our wings before we got home. I got both sauces and "toppings" on my chicken and it was absolutely addicting. My picky son and hubby licked their fingers and hands clean.

Ordered the 10 piece chicken tenders with fries- spicy style. The chicken was really good! It was juicy & seasoned well. The tenders were a great size and the breading was still nice and crisp after a 10 minute drive home! The fries were delish as well. The only disappoint was the amount of French fries compared to the tender. It was like they forgot a portion of fries. Besides that, the service was great, the food was hot & fantastic, and it's in a great little food cart pod. If you're craving fried chicken this is the place to go!

Crunchy/crispy on the outside, fallin" off the bone juicy on the inside. Best chicken wings I've had, possibly ever! Seasoning level Hot was fantastic. It had layers of intense flavor without blowing your head off. Friendly service. Fabulous food made with love. You can taste it!

Cool guys over there. Called in an order right when they were closing....waited for me until I was able to pick up. Glad they did because these are the best wings in Portland, highly recommend.

These chicken tenders are the best ones that I've had in my life. The crunch and tenderness were outstanding. Not to mention the perfectly cooked fries! Their service was excellent as well, friendly, funny and kind! Would 100% go here again and recommend to everyone I know!

My husband and I have been coming here for nearly a year (happy almost 1year anniversary!!!) and it's seriously the most amazing chicken I've ever had! Perfectly crispy, light, tender, and juicy! And the sauce (Lo sauce for life) is magic! Get a huge Munchies Basket and share with friends.... Trust me..... it'll go faster than you think. The best chicken AND the nicest human running the cart!!

I ordered way too much... and would do it again in a heartbeat! Had the rest of the wings the next morning with a waffle. These wings burst with flavor and are so crunchy and juicy. I got both sauces and don't have a favorite- both are delicious!! I decided to make the drive after reading the review on dope.eats.pdx IG account and am so glad I did. Planning to head over again with friends this time! Highly, highly recommended!!

Do I dare whisper great fried chicken wings in Southeast Portland?! YOU BET! Many of us have been waiting for something that we didn't have to travel all the way to the north side of Portland to get great Fried Chicken! Mr. LORELL has it dialed in! I called in before they opened and he was opening early and went to pick up my order. I was so happy and I will be sharing this with many others that his professionalism the quality of his food was outstanding! Ordered the 10 wing and fries with the sauces on the side. ($25) We were beyond satisfied with the fare of what Lorell offered. Flavor and freshness of the wings still lingers. This will definitely be our go-to spot at least two maybe three times a month LOL Only 10 minutes driving, parking at Foster carts is challenging but it was worth the walk after finding a spot.

Checked out LoRell's at their new location on NE Sandy after seeing it on Eater's best fried chicken list, and it did not disappoint! We had the tenders and wings and they very crispy, and had a unique sweet/tangy sauce drizzled on top. It was slammin! The fries were super good too. Equally important is the friendly owner, who remembered playing basketball with my boyfriend 10 years ago. Just seems like the nicest guy. One thing to know is there is easy parking in an adjacent lot which is uncommon in Portland. Get there and get you some of this deliciousness!

LoRell's is our PNW gem that has the closest fried chicken to our Chicago hometown favorite spot - Harold's. Great friendly customer service! And a must food truck stop when in Portland.

So good! Got the flex box (4 wings & fries) with half mild half hot honey. Both great. Fries are fresh cut and were really good. Service was outstanding. Highly recommend. I'll be back for sure.

Dear lawd how did I not know about this place until now?! I visited with a few friends and my twin toddlers on a Saturday afternoon. LoRell himself was there, spreading tasty joy and cheer into every order of crisp, crunchy, salty wings. They were so damn good, my kids ate most of my entire order. The parm and vinegar sauce really gave the wings that pop of brightness that takes a great wing to an amazing wing. The meat was tender, the flavors on point and the breading was consistent but not heavy or gloopy. LoRell brought out a little slice of his celebration cake for us to try, and I have never had a buttercream so fluffy. Talking with Lorell, hearing his love for what food does, and then tasting the wings as a reflection of his passion, really brought everything together for such a great meal that I look forward to having many more tasty times. Thanks Lorell!!

Finally made it to LoRell's Chicken Shack. We shared an order of tenders and fries. The food was everything we hoped it would be.

Had these yesterday and a skeptic was converted (I like my own home fried chicken)....these huge wings are crispy on the outside and hot steaming cooked and juicy on the inside. Don't know how he does it but I'm impressed. We had the mild sauce which reminded me of sweet & sour but is just drizzled on and doesn't overwhelm the chicken. I'm enjoying my next day leftovers. Staff was friendly and attentive to service.

These wings are BOMB! They're crispy, crunchy and juicy. Get the mild sauce. The fries are also solid. And then there's the slice of bread at the bottom that has all of the lemon pepper and mild sauce flavors that you'll also want to shove down your throat hole. All of it reminds me of Harold's in the Chicago area.

Pass this food cart lot at least twice a week. Looked at the chicken cart, walked around, stopped At chicken cart again. Was easily influenced to order the MUNCHIES wings (hot honey) and fries. Man on the red 'Busa gets to save himself some money this time. He marketed and sold me on these wings for a good minute about how good these wings are. And let me tell you, he was not wrong. Not one bit. These wings are delicious, AMAZING. Perfect crunchy to moist ratio. And the sauce is divine. Craving wings? Skip wingstop and drive down the road and get yourself a tray of wings from here. So glad I got the largest order, excited to eat tomorrow for lunch! I don't know what to say...LoRell's somehow found a way to surpass expectations. The reviews aren't lying when they say that this is the best chicken wing experience in Portland, potentially the whole West Coast. The craziest part is that the sauces are insanely good, but that breading is so well seasoned that your tongue will be dancing. Thanks again to LoRell's because that was a magical experience.

5 stars all around. Delicious food, phenomenal experience! One for quality of service. After we had a bit to dive in and the line was cared for, the chef went to every table to check in about satisfaction. He was genuinely kind and clearly product-driven! Someone else checked in from the bar as well. I've never seen that at a food cart! It was exceptional! One for speed of service. The food came expediently and was too hot to eat! PERFECT! One for quality of product. I am super picky about my meat and I really enjoyed these wings! The skin was delicious and there was plenty of juicy meat on the bone. The fries were very crispy without us having to order extra crispy (which I normally do). One for cost of product. Amazing prices and deals for such satisfying food!!! One for overall experience. We will definitely be back soon! The drive is well worth it!

First time at this cart. Was delicious! Full size chicken wings, great sauce, worth every penny. Owner is super friendly! We were the last order of the evening. After he closed up, he stopped by our table to check on us and make sure everything was good. We will absolutely be going back again!

Do NOT miss these chicken wings y'all, they are sooooo crispy. The hot honey is too good, the hand cut fries are icing on the cake.

Great food super nice staff. Get the sauce. When you get wings you get the whole wings the drum the wing the tip. There is a big difference between getting three wings and four wings. Also don't miss out on the desert. I had the chocolate mousse cake and it was amazing. My friend got the cheesecake, also awesome.

This chicken was AMAZING, Pictured is the 15 piece mild tenders with fries and lots of hot honey sauce on the side. Pictures will not do this chicken justice, we devoured all this in less than 25 mins. The chicken tenders are large, have a nice crunch yet are super juicy. The Parmesan rub used on the tenders is absolutely delicious and compliments the sauce perfectly. LoRell's prides themselves on showing Portland the best of Chicago style chicken and I'm telling you- you won't be disappointed
