Google
Food was SO delicious! And service was quick and friendly! I plan to come back my next trip through DFW 🫶

Fernando Tapia (.

Google
Food flavor was ok. I ordered the soup and my bowl was half empty and 2 pieces of chicken in it only. Asked the waitress if there was anyway to get another scoop and she said NO with an attitude that's the portion you get. Super small portion for a soup $13 is crazy to me and very rude on waitress part. Staff needs to be retrainrd on proper customer service. Most of the staff was more worried about being on their phones than taking care of customers.

Google
They were really good with my allergies, even though they said they can't share the menu/ingredients list. (I think in CA, at least, they legally have to, but idk about TX). The manager on duty was very pleasant and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. She also warned me about cross contamination. We arrived at 4pm and they'd stopped serving coffee. The DFW website mentions there are a lot of coffee options, but the menu only lists café, plain coffee. There was also readily available accessible seating and outlets. Food sounds good, I'll update the review when I eat it. They make it all from scratch, apparently.

Google
Got the lemon chicken, which was tasty, but the real reason I felt inspired to leave a review was my server, Brent. His friendly attitude and attentiveness was 6-star service. Give that guy a raise.

Terrence R.

Google
Honestly not bad for airport food. A little bit better than average for an airport but of course priced a little too high. Food was ok, place is clean, and staff was tentative. No complaints

Lynda D.

Google
There was a lot I loved about this place! Wonderful waitstaff. I loved that they had sooooo many plug in outlets along the wall. Such a nice offering in our technically dependant world. I had a virgin Mojito, and loved that it was at the price of a fountain soda instead of the cocktail price so many charge. I ordered the chicken rice soup, and it was …funky. Was going to just let it go but after other patrons returned theirs she came to see if mine was okay. When I said not really, she quickly changed it out for the butternut squash soup which was delicious ! I mean really! Apparently there’s been a mixup in the kitchen with the chicken soup not quite getting finished being made. I really appreciated her being so proactive when the problem was realized.

Google
Food is decent, but kind of bland for Mexican food. My issue is with the service, food comes out super slow and everyone in our party of 4 got our food 10 mins apart, so the last person waited nearly 30mins after the first person was served. This is an airport, time is of the essence! Also the square plates are huge for the tiny tables, I got two tacos and you could land a helicopter on this massive plate.

Matt B.

Google
right by gate 833. Not a bad place to come have a bit and a beer. It was weird the liquor bottles had napkins stuffed in them. Looks a little nasty.

Yelp
Service- absolutely 5 stars Ambiance - meh, it's an airport to go. Food- new hyper fixation meal unlocked. Dined on butternut squash soup (there were pepitas and pomegranate arils interspersed-fyi for my texture averse folks. It was smoky and delicious. I had the sweet plantains, too. They look very unassuming, but taste omg "is it a banana, is it a potato?" Who cares, I call it lunch. Seriously, way better than Panera. Still love me some Panera, I promise...

Yelp
**This review is based on two pre-flight beers.** I despise flying. And since this flight was nary an hour, I knew that American wouldn't be serving anything on the plane. Thankfully, this joint was near my gate. I don't know who was tending bar, but I flat-out asked him whether I needed to use the QR code ordering system (because I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer), and he was kind enough to take my order -- and deliver it immediately. (Boarding was 15 minutes out.) The menu here looks like it could be a decent nosh. And the atmosphere is clean and inviting. Had AA not left my checked bag on the tarmac for an hour (for a connecting flight), I might've been able to enjoy a light bite here.

Yelp
Brent at DFW airport location needs a raise for his glowing personality. He works to make sure you're cared for. After 14 hours of travel across time zones, a 3 hour delay and 3 gate changes, all I wanted was a bed, but had to settle for a cushioned seat at an airport bar. Hamburger and fries with bodega sauce were fine but I think Brent sensed I needed reassurance. Water glass remained full. Meal arrived quickly, warm. Conversation was welcome, not intrusive. Asked if I needed anything to go before I left. If I must go through DFW again and eat, I'll pick this place over the others because of Brent.

Yelp
While in Terminal A near Gate 32, this is a great spot to grab a drink and quick bite. We have stopped here many times and the service is quick and pleasant. Last night, our flight was delayed for 3 hours and we spent half of that time at the bar watching some college football. The food has been good and has not disappointed. Several good beers on tap. Stella is my choice. If I am in the area on my next flight, I will be at the bar. Stop by and give them a try. Enjoy!
google avatar

Yelp
Worst "Mexican" food ever. I've stopped on here on 3 different occasions during different travel trips trying to give Lorena a chance each time to redeem herself but it's always so, so bad.
google avatar

Eugene C.

Yelp
Don't get the American breakfast. You been warned. Burned to crisp bacon. Pretty sure it's the microwave kind. Eggs cooked wrong and salad was brown. "New" bartender either didn't speak English or just didn't speak. Could not tell which. She asked how it was and I told her the bacon is over microwaved and eggs wrong she smiled and walked away.. Showed the brown lettuce to the other bartender and he didn't seem all that concerned. Skip this place if you're in terminal A! $30 for dumpster food.
google avatar

Marialuisa M.

Yelp
Food was not great, prices were through the roof. I know it's the airport and prices are literally "Sky High" but this was bad. I got two sides, a kids meal grilled cheese, and a cocktail. Total was $51. I left the chips and guac chios were stale, guac tasted like the pre-packaged guac that come with pretzels. Weird dining area there is a spot in front of the bar, that looks to be part of it, but isn't. Service was slow, but our waitress was friendly.
google avatar

Jordan W.

Yelp
A really nice spot for drinks at DFW with excellent service. Exhausted, we took a seat for a margarita after an around-the-world flight while awaiting our connection. The drinks were delicious and refreshing and the service was friendly and efficient, served with a smile.
google avatar

Barnum G.

Yelp
Staff is excellent and food is on point. I loved the Caesar's Salad with chicken. For being at the airport, I was impressed with the quality. Kudos. The staff informed me even the cilantro dressing on the salad is homemade. I was duly impressed. Good job.
google avatar

Richa T.

Yelp
I stopped here while waiting for a flight and this was just an okay spot. I ordered the queso fundido with a margarita. Margarita was decent. The queso fundido had a lot of flavor lacking. But what else can you expect from airport food? What was frustrating was that they do not have paper menus. My phone wouldn't load so I had to ask the server for help. I just felt so pressured to order something immediately. Also, FYI - they don't have wifi here. The reason I am going to give them 3 stars is honestly for their abundance of outlets. Super important to have at airports.
google avatar

Nicole P.

Yelp
This is a $12 chicken soup that taste like they put soap in it and came with a lemon.... It wasn't even 8 ounces! Staff is very unfriendly... don't waste your money!

Lindsey D.

Yelp
Best airport food experience ever! Amazing service and staff. Super delicious food that's better than many tapas restaurants I've tried. Must visit when at DFW!

Darrell R.

Yelp
As one looking for a high protein low carb option, I was flying out of DFW and decided to eat lunch at this restaurant. I chose a Caesar salad and asked for chicken and extra chicken to be added. The server was very accommodating of my special order and the salad was DELICIOUS! I would likely have this daily if it was available to me where I live. Thank you for a phenomenal option for me. I will definitely look for this restaurant again!
google avatar

Santino C.

Yelp
I must admit this tostada was very good. I asked if I could customize it to my taste palate and they complied. The taste was savory and delicious.

Jacob G.

Yelp
Excellent service and great customer service, food was great and tasty. Arrangements for the crowd move around easily
google avatar

Brent L.

Yelp
If you're not looking for a huge meal, this little place is great for Latin American tapas. (located near gate A33) I had the Herb Grilled Cauliflower with Chili Lime Crema for $7. The cauliflower was grilled until it was just slightly crispy, but not overly so. The herb seasoning on it, was quite tasty. The chili lime sauce was nice and spicy, but it had bit of a strange sour taste to it and was way too heavy on the lime. The service is decent and prices are what you can expect from an airport restaurant. (yes, it's managed by HMS - the Aramark of airports)

Yelp
The worst dining experience of my life. Horrible food, drinks, and service. I can not remember a dining experience worse than this. We should have been better off going to Mac Donald's than this. If you are at DFW airport avoid this place at all cost. I never write reviews but, this place is so bad I'm writing this as a warning, nothing at Lorena is worth it. Over priced, disgusting food and bad drinks. The service is appalling, rude, inattentive, and flat out rude. I ordered the $15 steak tacos and when they came out they where not flank steak. When I complained the manager came out with some frozen meat T our table and told me if I didn't like it it was my problem. Amazingly horrific experience. Avoid this place at all cost!!!!
google avatar

Cyndy And Randy R.

Yelp
Meh it was ok. The chips are stale but they include plantain chips and I hadn't had those before. They're good. I got the Caesar salad with chicken and it was half brown lettuce - with these prices, that shouldn't be a thing AT ALL - and dry chicken. The dressing was ok. Randy ordered the chicken tacos. The chicken was dry there too but he added some rice n beans and salsa and that helped. The rice n beans aren't bad. Service was quick and good but we probably wouldn't come here again if other options available. Update: when the waitress saw all the salad I put aside because it was brown and asked about it, she took the salad off the bill because they "don't do brown". That's a breath of fresh air.

Yelp
Had a solid A-OK experience here! Headed in with some time on a layover until my second flight leg back to Florida. The bar is open seating, so I just grabbed a seat for myself. It had a USB and regular plug outlet for charging up your phone or your laptop. I was able to get some emails sent out while I ate! Super convenient. The menu is all Tapas or Small Plate style. I went with the fish and chips. It was fried fish strips, fried avocado strips, sweet plantains, and white rice with black beans. The flavor was great and the amount of food was just right for me. I also got the berry and cream dessert. It was very basic with some fresh berries and fresh made whipped cream. I had a couple of glasses of Pinot Grigio as well, and it was a solid offering. They offer glasses in 6 or 9 ounces. Staff was okay, it definitely was a slower process so I don't recommend coming here with limited time to get on your flight, but if you have some time to kill and want a recharge on food and tech, this is it. Overall: B Solid tapas place in an airport with a full bar!
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
Just don't come here. Seriously. I wish I bothered looking up the yelp page before ordering something to go. I had a very short connection time at DFW and it was either this Tapas place or a sandwich next door. I opted for this place thinking that the food would be better than pre-made sandwiches sitting in a fridge. I had maybe ~30 minutes to grab something and eat and get onto my next flight. When I orderd take out, I asked how long it would take to get my food ready and they told me about 10 minutes. Sounds reasonable right? Well, it took over 28 minutes (I was anxious that I'd miss my boarding time...). Worst of all, I saw other people who ordered after me get my food before I got it. I'm pretty sure they forgot my order or something... Anyhow, the food itself. I ordered the chargrilled churrasco steak since it was "highly recommended". Now, this dish was over 21 bucks. Airport food, right? Yeah, I get it. High prices. But I was SO disappointed when I opened my box on the plane to see....practically nothing. Look, I get it. It's tapas. But "tapas" doesn't mean overcharging for a tiny portion of food. Like - why even bother getting boxes that big? That's just environmentally unfriendly. Just get small ass boxes for the small ass portions that are served here. It felt SO misleading. The food itself? Not even good. The steak was overcooked and tough to eat. Especially difficult with plastic utensils. The rice was undercooked so it was hard. My plantains were BURNT (literally black). Wish I got a pre-made fridge sandwich instead.
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
Herb grilled cauliflower is what I ordered on today's visit. The smaller pieces of the cauliflower were flavorful/edible the bigger florets were just inedible. They were extremely tough and not worth the fight at all. Definitely would not get this again.
google avatar

Alice C.

Yelp
I don't think you can call this a tapas place because their menu is SO limited. I think for their tapas menu, they offered chips and salsa and french fries. That was it. The rice was also very dry but the french fries were pretty good. I cant believe i paid so much for a plate of dried out chicken. The The menu said this plate came with plantains but no plantains. $60 for two very dry chicken plates. Service was apathetic and couldnt really get water refilled. We came for the convience and there was outlets at every table. Would not come back though. I wasnt a fan of Dallas airport in general =(
google avatar

Scout L.

Yelp
Seriously the best airport meal I've ever had in the US.. and at a reasonable price! I got the cauliflower tacos with a side of plantains. It came with rice and beans and homemade salsa. Plantains were sweet and moist and crispy on the edges. The tacos were delicious (unexpected for a vegetarian at DFW). Beans were stewed and rice had good flavor. Honestly it was gourmet and I only spent $30 including tip. I'll be back!!

Yelp
As an American Airlines Flight Attendant for over 40 years I recognize great service. Yesterday 4/17/2024 we had a 2 hour delay and stopped by the bar to have a glass of wine. My bartender Kiara W. around 4:30pm was super sweet and smiled so much I had to write a great review for her. Please make sure someone at the restaurant recognizer her for all of us unhappy delayed passengers....I will stop in again just to say hi but also have some food this time.
google avatar

Tory G.

Yelp
Worst customer service- bartender is terrible - slow and lazy. Too busy to bring water and sent me to a water fountain which was over 10 gates away due to the closer ones were broke. Absolutely rude. Go at your own risk- a good travel day can be easily turned bad due to a nasty person. And they are nasty.
google avatar

Genevieve F.

Yelp
There was a gentleman walking around trying to tell us how to use our QR code and it doesn't work. I got frustrated and went somewhere else. I can't deal with faulty QR codes. They need to figure this out,
google avatar

Yelp
I had stopovers in Dallas Airport many times in the past. Most of the time, the interval between getting off from a flight and catching the next one is a shot one. But this time, I was lucky. This restaurant was conveniently located next to my gate and guess what... I had time! On the top of it.. I was really hungry. I made myself comfortable at the bar. They had a reasonable nice menu based on the fact that it is located inside the airport terminal. The hostess was fast talking the orders and getting those back on the table. I ordered fish and chips. The presentation and taste was great. They surpassed my expectations both in the speed of service and taste. They have stations, you can charge your phone and work on your laptop. Definitely will come back in future and recommend to all. Enjoy your meal and have fun.
google avatar

Jamie W.

Yelp
First time at Lorena's on a layover at DFW. The bartender was super friendly. I've avoided the place because I'm normally looking for fast or traditional TexMex food while I'm there (about every 2 weeks!). I'm so glad I stopped for a drink and talked with the bartender about the menu. I ordered the tostada and the meat was juicy and had the perfect amount of seasoning and spice. I'm not sure what was in the slaw on top, but it was outstanding. I'll definitely be stopping back by the next time I'm flying through there.
google avatar

Jeri T.

Yelp
Wow. I stood at the stands for quite some time before the girl who walked right past me said to sit anywhere. (After she fixed two drinks). Five menu options and they are out of the one I wanted. They didn't have ice tea either. Seriously? I paid for the $3.25 soda and left. Even with Covid, get it together.
google avatar

Sue S.

Yelp
Had some time before our flight. Looked like a good spot. Stood for awhile before the bartender yelled over.." grab a seat". Sat. Sat. Finally server comes over. "Do you know what you want? ". Ugh. No. How about ask us how we are first? Very long story short. Ordered a beer an ice tea and an appetizer. No silverware or napkins. Had to get them ourselves. Appetizer was good. Too bad... service was terrible. And what's sad ... as we were there... appeared management arrived. Sat at a table and were discussing matters. In the mean time.... your restaurant is falling apart around you. Wake up.
google avatar

Robert B.

Yelp
i've been here a few times the food is ok. the service is usually a little slow. they are open later than a lot of the other airport options

Elvin C.

Yelp
Very bad experience after a night of delayed flights. Yasser the bartender should not be serving customers. After multiple delayed flights I stopped at this restaurant and asked for a glass of water. Yasser gave me a tall glass and filled the glass not even a quarter of the way. I asked if I can at least get some ice and he stated to me that he was not going to serve me and for me to go elsewhere because I had a poor attitude for asking for ice and a full glass of water. Not only that, he shewed me away as if I was a dog. I even offered to pay for the glass of water. I don't recommend this place to anyone. By the looks of these reviews, this is a horrible establishment and needs to be reinvented. Yasser needs to be fired for talking to customers the way he did to me. I would very much love to run into this gentleman outside of the airport. He needs a lesson in customer service, manners, and to have respect for other people. I never write reviews and I eat at restaurants all over the country all the time. I travel through Dallas airport 2-3 times a month and I will never give my business to this establishment, nor recommend to anyone
google avatar

Ali C.

Yelp
Nothing to write home about. Seriously bland food that tasted like someone literally threw it on the plate in a couple of seconds. Would have given one star were it not for the attentive server. Disappointing and expensive.
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
This place had a great spot and was busy.. one of my few times I didn't check reviews and quickly regretted it. The food has no taste or flavor. We split one tapas and had a drink and then got our check to grab a tasty meal elsewhere. I would suggest avoiding this place.

Samone S.

Yelp
Food here sucks, don't bother. Took forever and everything is lacking flavor, there is way better food in the airport
google avatar

Rico S.

Yelp
Worst air port food possibly ever. 6 terrible tacos for 50 dollars?!?!! We'd rather die than come back here. This might've been the greatest food swindle yet. Such a shame. Glad I ran to the golden arches out of precaution. Its a sad day when mickies feels like quality. Never again.
google avatar

Sandra A.

Yelp
Well the wine was great! Out waiter was great. But their bar tenders need a little training in customer service manners. We were charging out phone on the bar as that is the only outlet we saw. Just to be sent to plug it in an outlet behind us. In such rude way. Too bad. This lovely place doesn't train their employees well.
google avatar

Jess C.

Yelp
I am not even sure what to say. Had Lorena's riff on fish and chips. The fish was basically fish sticks and the chips were fried avocado slices which i was more interested in. The picture says it all. Plating gets zero stars, fish zero stars for being over cooked and tough, avo chips were interesting but had zero flavor. Avoid this spot! I cannot imagine the other food being any better. Maybe the food is the reason this place is always empty!!!
google avatar

Jean W.

Yelp
Excellent food. I have a gluten problem and my waitress, Dawn, was very helpful. Meal comes with black beans but Dawn said those have wheat flour. She recommended the roasted vegetables. The pork was sooo tender & delicious. Flavorful grilled onions. The plantains were sweet and a nice touch at the end of my meal.

Rajeev D.

Yelp
The service is sub par And like all places in airports the items are over priced. Decent location
google avatar

Jess M.

Yelp
The food was not good... however, they did have beers. Overpriced and not to my expectations.
google avatar

Philip T.

Yelp
Their "covid" adaptation is horrible. Terrible service, their QR system couldn't be less user friendly. Their staff may be good, but their system stifles their abilities to the point they're irrelevant. Too bad, the food is ok for airport fare, they have a decent beverage list, but their contact-less system negates all of it. It's no wonder there were plenty of tables available, and wait staff standing around.
google avatar

Paolo B.

Yelp
WHAT A RIP OFF - HA, HA, HA... The joke was on me. I was scammed! The overhead menu read $10 for a "LARGE CAESAR SALAD." It was surely in a large foam togo box, but it was TOTALLY EMPTY inside! 25 cents worth of romaine lettuce & 5 croutons does not make a LARGE salad. There wasn't even any cheese! The dressing was a green looking alien slop. It did not taste like a Caesar dressing. BTW: that's what turns romaine lettuce into a Caesar salad - the dressing. Not only was the salad container empty, but the bag did not even include a fork or napkin. I had to go back and ask for one. A TOTAL RIP OFF. To get a full container of romaine lettuce would have cost me $50 !
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
Food arrived quickly and looks good - now waiting for 8 minutes and counting. No silverware or napkin - server who sat it down rushed away after placing it without a word. And so far haven't been able to get her. Update - 10 minutes later I have fork. First bite - fried plantains suck. Period. Greasy. Meat is tough and chewy. Flavor bland - helped by the cilantro. Really struggling to finish. It's not bad per Sw but now where good. In fact Taco Bell is better. Funny this is run by HMS host a third party - not surprising. Basically there are much much better choices in term A. Service sucks - food is mediocre - head down to the salt lick or twisted root instead.

Heather H.

Yelp
We stopped here on a layover. First service was very slow. Second, food is subpar. I don't know Lorena Garcia but if I were her, she should come do a quality check. We ordered the tacos. The chicken was cold and the beef was so tough that it could not even be eaten. The rice was dry as if had been scraped from the bottom of pot. So disappointed. The manager though, was nice and did address our concerns.
google avatar

Tom M.

Yelp
My plane is delayed and I'm hungry. Also, I'm in Texas, where they understand Latin food. I ordered the Grilled Steak Arepa. The tender steak is served between two cornmeal buns, perfect for gluten-free diets. Plus they add some spices I am unfamiliar with, which adds to the zing. as you a see from the photo, you also get rice and beans, plus grilled plantains, which are a treat unto themselves. The waiter is VERY attentive. They have a full bar, as well, but I don't drink, so you'll have to explore that on your own.
google avatar

Lourdes A.

Yelp
Skip it. First, they have a hostess stand except the hostess had her back to the customers and after waiting an uncomfortable amount of time to be greeted and seated, I walked up to the bar and grabbed a spot. The bartender didn't greet me either or bring me water, ever. Eventually, she came over and asked, what can I get you? Another customer sidled up to the bar and her demeanor was such that he even asked her if everything was ok. So far, customer service is less than friendly and slow. In an airport where slow service could cost you. Hopefully, the food is delicious. Except it was not. I ordered the black beans and queso fundido and the Crispy Arepitas Basket noted on the menu as a 'Chef's Favorite'. After biting into a couple, I believe the chef thinks too highly of her own food. They were gross. Some were plain and some had anise seeds. Anise is not something I've come to expect in arepas and I've eaten plenty - both Venezuelan and Colombian varieties. The beans were too salty and tasted canned. Finally, I ordered the Tamarindo, a tequila based cocktail to at least take the edge off that I was paying for this crap lunch. It was only ok. Not worth the calories. Kicking myself for not going to Whitetail Bistro on the D concourse....
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
Cruised the airport all the way from A4 to Around A33 and found this gem. Stop at the huge bar and CHARGE ur stuff while u have a cocktail or try the roasted cauliflower.
google avatar

Dustyn C.

Yelp
It's over priced for sure, the food wasn't bad but a little bland. I paid $50 for a lump of meat, chips, and two tequila drinks.
