Splash Into These 13 Great Dallas Pools With a Cocktail in Hand

"Forget Texas, getaway to Miami on the Southside. The Lorenzo’s in-ground pool is massive, and they host sip and swim events on most weekends for which you can reserve cabanas. The Relativity Pool Bar serves up all the drinks you’d expect — margs, spritzes, the usual. Day passes start at $30 for adults — this is not a kid-friendly spot." - Courtney E. Smith

This place is a whole experience in the best way. Hotel Lorenzo is bold, colorful, artsy, and somehow still manages to feel welcoming and calm. The room was spotless, the mattress was divine, and everything smelled clean. Not “trying to cover up something” clean — actually clean. I loved the rooftop pool, the taco truck out front, and the genuinely kind front desk staff. Parking was $20 a day and honestly, worth it. No weird garages or hunting for spots. Just easy access and peace of mind. If you’re even slightly over boring hotels with beige walls and zero personality, book this one. You’ll leave well-rested and at least 30 percent cooler.

The hotel itself was very nice and well-maintained. I appreciated how clean everything was, and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable. During my stay, they hosted a pool party, which was a great experience—the food, drinks, and music were all excellent.||The housekeeping staff also did a fantastic job. They were friendly, efficient, and kept everything spotless throughout our stay, which added to the overall comfort.||However, I did have some concerns with the front desk staff. Most of my interactions with them were less than welcoming. They rarely smiled and often gave the impression that guests were an inconvenience, even when they weren’t actively assisting anyone. I want to emphasize that I was always polite and respectful during these encounters, so the cold reception was disappointing.||Unfortunately, my family members had similarly negative experiences with the front desk, which confirmed that it wasn’t just me. The lack of friendliness seemed to be a consistent issue. The front desk staff would benefit from customer service training to better align with the otherwise positive service provided by other departments.||That said, there were a couple of front desk staff members—a male and a female, both African American—who stood out for their professionalism and kindness. Additionally, the staff at the bar and restaurant were consistently warm and accommodating, which helped balance out the overall experience.

I will start with the positive - customer service was outstanding and accommodating. But that was it for positive. There was nothing comfortable about this hotel. Pillows were hard, chairs impractical, shallow sink can't hold water and soaks everything on the counter. They need to spend less money on decorations and more on making it more comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay. Food and service in Hamilton and Enzo were great — recommend the avocado toast and omelets! Rooms were spacious and clean. We travel a lot and they got the big and small details right…all elevators working and a working ice machine on our floor. Next time we are in Dallas, we’ll be back.

Yesenia was very helpful with any and all questions I have, and even recommended a really good breakfast spot when their bar had moved into the lunch portion of the morning. The hotel itself is very artsy, clean workout room, nice pool, and very eclectic styling. It’s a very bright and vibrant place to stay!

Boutique decor hotel to a high standard. Stayed for 1 night stop over. Pool is an added bonus. Rooms have all required amenities and floor to ceiling windows give you a great view to drift off in bed in the evening. Walking distance to Kennedy tourist spot and short walk down to restaurants - Cowboy Chow's is a good choice.

Booked this hotel for a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. Had many choices of 4 star hotels in this area, but picked the Lorenzo for the boutique feel and the art. Will say that we were very disappointed to find out that they host a vegas style pool party every Saturday from 3-9 and allow people not staying at the hotel to attend for a fee. This should be disclosed before booking. We had looked forward to relaxing at the pool and we couldn’t even find a chair to sit on or just enjoy the pool as there were 40+ people in and around the small pool doing shots and drinking straight from bottles. Very rowdy with very little security and absolutely no consideration for the people that paid a lot of money to stay at their hotel. We will never stay at the Lorenzo again. Definitely don’t recommend if you have kids and/or want to enjoy the amenities on a Saturday afternoon until September.

Booked this hotel because it was kinda last minute and I needed to be near a location, but considering how well my experience went, I’m glad. The decor is definitely quirky and interesting, almost seems like it serves a certain purpose or vibe…. 👀 Outside of that, the room was clean and the customer service was quick and friendly. The check in process was also contactless and easy as I used the Hilton app to get it open. Lastly, I forgot to grab some items but the person upfront helped me retrieve them promptly, which i appreciated. Overall, would probs return here another time to fully invest in what the hotel has to offer as the location was convenient for our activities.

Yelp
Absolutely enjoyed my stay at the Lorenzo Hotel in Downtown Dallas! The staff were very friendly and overly accommodating. Came to town for a wedding in Downtown Dallas. I was about to get an early check-in. Which was very helpful traveling with a 6-month old. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel has been updated and I LOVED the large mirrors in the hallways and the room. Lots and lots of mirrors throughout the hotel. Room service was very fast. The food was so-so. But the service was lightening speed!! I was also able to get a late check-out as I had a late flight. Very happy that the hotel was able to accommodate these arrangements. The hotel location is not right in the heart of downtown, but it is a 4 minute or $7 uber drive from everything downtown. I enjoyed the hotel's location, as it was quiet and kinda away from everything. Would highly recommend the Lorenzo.

Yelp
There was so much. Air conditioning never got sufficiently cold and was loud. They had a DJ pool party that had MAYBE 7 people show up and they mainly sunned themselves, however they played the music very loud for several hours which made resting very hard. The pet area had several dog droppings left behind, part owner issue but they could have checked it more frequently. Elevators smelled of urine No complimentary breakfast like other Hilton properties.

Yelp
Whomever designed the Lorenzo Hotel in downtown Dallas needs a medal. If you're an art person, this hotel is for you. It's sooooo unique and creative. I'm in love! From its funky design to its vibrant atmosphere, every corner of this hotel is a visual overload. Example. The carpet in my room was manufactured by the Shaw Carpet company quoting Hamlet's Soliloquy! "To be or not to be -- that is the question:" Pretty cool eh? It's got 237 rooms and a convenient restaurant. Situated in the heart of downtown Dallas, The Lorenzo is perfectly positioned for exploring the city's food and entertainment scene. So stylish! Be a cool kid. Stay here!

Yelp
First to review? Must be first as a Hilton Tapestry property because I know this hotel has been here for a long time. Legend has it that this is the property where Tina Turner escaped from Ike when she escaped his rein of terror. Tonight on my drive to Dallas, it showed up as close in my Hilton app and voilà.... less than $200 on this Thursday / Friday, so here I stay! Is this three, four or five stars.... Since I have the honor of first review 5 stars! The hotel has exceptional art throughout.. For anyone who enjoys art this is a bonus at Lorenzo. The way this property was renovated. You can tell someone put a lot of time and effort and thought into it. Congratulations to Help for investing in this property. Easy parking $20 overnight- pay online *see also below Funky style - not exactly what I need for my zooms in the morning, but you're welcome departure from the norm. Pool, restaurant, bar, check. Ate breakfast and dinner at the lobby restaurant Hamilton and both were good. Good coffee, good bar, & friendly staff. Rooms - nice rooms with big windows and some have views. Decor and beds will not be for everybody. Not too loud even though right on top of I35 Neon, shag carpet, art, check A few areas for improvement The parking payment system is unusual. You have to login to a website to pay $20 online for overnight parking. I suspect this is the honor system because I can't imagine someone's out there checking every license plate. However the parking lot is nice and very close to the front door and better than most full service hotel. The taco place in front of the hotel needs friendlier staff, or some training. Early in the morning, you have to go outside the hotel to get coffee because the taco place opens earlier than the restaurant the hotel. One thing, business travelers want especially is coffee in the morning. With that said the hotel has really good coffee and a friendly staff in the restaurant and food. They just need someone to be there early to serve coffee.
