"Lorenzo’s Cabana is a casual Puerto Rican, Mexican, and American food spot that's worth crossing the bridge for. A quarter of the Westville, NJ restaurant's menu is dedicated to American breakfast items, but they’re also serving up some pretty delicious Mexican food. The Puerto Rican menu, meanwhile, features pulled-pork style pernil, made in a slow cooker on the back counter, as well as bistec, pollo guisado, and chuletas. There’s a line of walk-ins for takeout and the phone is constantly ringing for pickup orders (your best bet is to call ahead and make sure they have the protein of your choice), but you can always snack on empanadas while you wait.`" - carolyn rivera, candis mclean

Definitely not authentic food , ...... I Don not taste the puertorrican out of my food not even the potatoes on my beans had any of my flavor , pernil was the only thing that was okay ,we got a tostada and is horrible just a whole bunch of lettuce and crunchy chicken if you're mexican I do not recommend you to get them tostadas you'll feel insulted, the carnitas taco is just a pernil taco just a heart breaking situation! Oh the green sauce is actually good and spicy!

Well worth the drive if you’re in the area! Super friendly staff and excellent food. I highly recommend getting their chorizo on anything you order. My absolute favorite item they have here is their chorizo BREAKFAST burrito. It’s insane and hands down one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. Their churros are on point, hot & fresh! We’ll be back!!!

Best tacos in the area. Hands down. Owner is a nice guy. I have never been there and he isn't there cooking or taking orders.Price point is great. I just want to say I see a few entitled losers posting 1 star reviews because they didn't get a paper to go bag, or because they called and the restaurant said they were not taking orders because they were too busy. These people are a joke and have no concept of what it means to run a business. One guy didn't even eat here and gave it a 1 star. Ignore all that bs. Lorenzos is great all around. i will keep coming back and supporting local business 100%.

I'm not picky at all. But I expect a certain level of quality when I eat Spanish food, being Latino myself. The number 1 requirement is to be fresh. The tostones, and the empanadas tasted like it was fried in old oil. And tasted terrible. The roast pork had to be warming up all day because it was dried out and salty. The white rice was mushy and extremely oily. And they also forgot my beans.

Tried a spot called Lorenzo's Cabana located in Westville, NJ which has Puerto Rican, and, Mexican, and American food. I heard a lot of good things so I had to try. What we ordered: I order birria tacos which came with rice and beans (arroz con gandules). The birria tacos were so delicious. were flavorful tender, juicy, and very moist. It came with sauce on the side and I dipped my tacos in the sauce. Yum. The tacos were packed with meat. I personally was not a fan of the rice and beans (arroz con gandules) because it tasted bland. My family ordered a small to-go order of pernil (roasted pork) and she stated her daughter loved it. Very flavorful and moist. Atmosphere: I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was not crowded. We were seated right away. The place is not big, there are several booths and a large counter area. Right away I noticed the family pictures on the wall which was a beautiful reminder of family. Very clean place. Family atmosphere. I noticed a lot of customers that placed to-go orders that came to pick up their orders. Server: The server was attentive and took the time to make sure everything was to our liking. She was friendly and made sure we were happy with the food. The server by accident ended up bringing me another customer's order (apparently we ordered the same thing) and the owner apologized to other customer and I due to the mix-up. The other customer was there first. Pricing: The pricing was pretty reasonable for the amount of food you receive. Will we return: Absolutely, I would return and try other meals on their menu. I would definitely order the birria tacos. The food was fresh and delicious. The price point is good. It’s a clean place. It's great to support local, small businesses. Go and place your orders!

The food is fantastic!! The service is very friendly!! I definitely rate this as one of my favorite spots The only things I would like to see a remodel of the space! Its outdated and gives an old deli vibe. TRY the food!! They offer take out!!!

Well Thought I would try this place again since JL Jupiter said it was legit. Huh, Not by My experience. Ordered a special platter comes with two tacos, meat, Rice & peas. We'll she let me get the Cheesesteak empanada and 1 taco instead of two tacos, which was a plus. #1 We'll the El pastor taco was dry as the Sahara and the soft tortilla was heated too Long that it cracked. #2 The Rice & Peas Were Tasteless, no flavor at all. #3 The Cheesesteak empanada had hardly any filling, Cheese nor meat and overall dry too. #4 The Only thing really tasty was the pernil w/ The crispy skin, it did have a couple hard pieces that were not edible but overall it was tasty. I definitely will not be going back to try those so called tasty, on point, birria tacos..I was so disappointed for $20.00. I was going to the trash with it and my husband ate it because he was hungry and we both Don't like wasting food. Sorry but this is not that spot. I'll stick to my regular spot up the street from them, always on point. Okay So ...Their Reply Was For Me To Tell The Truth I Did but My Mistake Was The Special Was for two empanadas not tacos, okay my bad...but what did that have to do with the overall taste and I would have paid for the onions if you would have told me their was a charge. Still the food was not good in my opinion, everyone has one and that's the truth no lies told before..take the good with the bad...

Al Pastor or Carnitas? When in doubt get both!!! 10 tacos 2 different kind, $16!!! Can’t beat it! This is a family owned Mexican AND Puerto Rican Restaurant in Westville, NJ. You get the best of both worlds here. This place makes some DELICIOUS food. @njdotcom named it best tacos in NJ, I’m going to have to agree! You need to order the tacos, rice & beans, pernil, & empanadas. Almost forgot they make the best Tres leches cake that I’ve had in my life!
