21 Great Paris Restaurants That Are Actually Open On Mondays - Paris - The Infatuation

"Two things we love about this all-day corner bistro that looks straight out of a Paris film set: You’re always treated like a regular, even if it’s your first time, and the creative small plates with international influences are several notches above the rest. Kimchi might be paired with cream cheese and puffed buckwheat, and slow-cooked lamb collapses onto its labneh, salsa verde, and pomegranate molasses base the moment it’s prodded. The no-reservation spot is always crowded, but the eagle-eyed staff makes sure there’s no line-jockeying—and tables come to those who agree to wait at the beautiful zinc bar. Sip a glass of natural wine, and have an egg-mayo or anchovies to pass the time." - emily monaco

Two of us had a fabulous dinner. Casual but lively atmosphere. great food, very affordable! We got in before kitchen close which felt v lucky. Even if kitchen closed, you should stay for a drink. I had the drink of the evening- lemon sour- delicious!

An excellent little bistro on the edge of the 11ème. Went there two evenings in a row on the basis of its quality and daily changing menu. Marvellously cramped dining area gives view on the open kitchen and butting elbows with locals and visitors alike. A new favourite in the city

One of those rare places where you instantly feel the soul of the space and the love behind every dish. Everything we tasted was excellent—from the wine to the meal to the dessert. The chou fleur, aubergine, tarama, and lotte were all bursting with flavor, each one carefully prepared and beautifully balanced. The wines were just as impressive—especially the Perlé white, which became my instant favorite. And I’m still dreaming about their Picodon cheese. The place is always buzzing in the evenings, so expect a bit of a wait—but it’s absolutely worth it. Can’t wait to come back. ❤️

One of the best meals I’ve had in France. This is the kind of bistro you think of and not easy to find. The food was excellent (what a cheese! Bread was sourdough, butter was tasty, menu was with local and seasonal ingredients), the service super friendly and fast and the atmosphere could not have been better on. Friday lunch. Book if you don’t want to miss it! Otherwise you may be lucky asking to eat at the bar like we did.

Hip bistro with great small plates and good wine. Staff is friendly and the vibe is cool.

Unbelievably good. The chef was printing menu next to us when arriving. Everything is fantastic.

The best meal we had in Paris. This feels like the true essence of what a bistro is, but is still pushing the envelope. You can tell thought and care was put into the menu and food. Everything was cooked perfectly and with new and exciting flavors.

The food itself is not bad. There were some mouldy slices in the stale bread they had served our group of five. After sending it back, it turned out they had a separate bread station with fresh bread which they served us. They then tried to send us another basket of stale bread which got replaced when I pushed back. I’m not sure if it was because we were foreign (from the US and UK) but I walked around the restaurant and noticed two Asian groups and a black/asian couple all had been given stale bread vs the French tables had been given fresh bread. Not sure if they are just against foreigners but serving mouldy bread is not acceptable. Honestly restaurants in London are significantly better in terms of food/service.

Yelp
I went to L'Orillon for a birthday party. I loved that it was random and not one of those "trendy hotspots", but still had some delicious beers (like Craig Allan's Agent Provocateur) on tap, and close to Belleville which is a fun neighborhood on the weekends if you know the good spots. The staff was SUPER slow, which was inconvenient with a filled up place with people anxious to grab a drink and move around to socialize. They seemed quite unmotivated to work at all, and definitely needed more people having seen the demand. I liked the space, it was open, simple, with that typical brasserie look. I don't think I would go here UNLESS I was with a group however as it's in a lesser-known street and there were definitely some creepy people coming inside, that were seemingly not there to grab a drink. I hope the staff at L'Orillon will watch out for this next time because they've got a great space with great beers and great music, but a lot of people were urged to leave by the few sketch befuddled dudes. The bathrooms were nicer than most bars I have been to, which was a huge plus in my book!
