"Loring Park is the largest park in central Minneapolis. With a beautiful view of the city, walking and biking trails, and tennis courts it’s no surprise that people flock here. The park is the host to many community events throughout the year. During the summer you’ll find city sponsored events by the lake, art seminars, outdoor classes, and some bigger festivals like Gay Pride and Cultivate Chipotle to name a couple. Our cold Winter’s don’t stop the fun either with ice-skating and cross-country trails available. Also, Loring Park is the proud new owner to Minneapolis’ famous Winter Holidazzle." - Spyder Trap

Really nice park with lots of space and plenty to do Walking paths, basketball, tennis, shuffleboard, horseshoes, community garden, 2 ponds, 1 fishing pier, TS Eliot installation, playground, community arts center. And more! Really enjoyed taking in the pond views and walking the wildflower garden. The fountain needs renovation, someone added it to maps but it’s nonoperational

We walked through the Loring Park in February as a shortcut, and it was a stunning winter wonderland; everything covered in snow, super cold but peaceful. The walkway wasn’t cleared everywhere but good enough to feel safe to walk on. The lake was completely frozen, and we saw people walking across it, which added to the magical winter feel, although I didn’t dare to walk on it! A great spot for a quiet stroll or to let dogs play. Beautiful and serene 100%, especially if you enjoy the winter landscape as much as I do!

A rather large Park nestled in the outside of downtown Minneapolis. During the day many people visit this park. Mini joggers bicyclists and even casual walkers. I even noticed several dog walkers. There are playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and even shuffleboard. Mini park benches around the walkways to sit and relax and enjoy nature. Plenty of flowers and beautiful vegetation.

These are by far the most friendly animals/birds I’ve seen in parks. They’re fearless. I even saw a guy talking to a squirrel… and the squirrel was following him around. Interesting. The only major con about this place is that parking is hard.

Loring Park is a great spot to relax right in the middle of the city. The green space and lake make it feel like a break from downtown, and the walking paths are nice for a casual stroll or people-watching. It’s close to restaurants, museums, and lots of things to do, which is a big plus. Parking can be a bit tricky at times and it does feel more urban than a quiet neighborhood park, but overall it’s a really nice place to spend time. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Minneapolis.

Loring Park is beautifully maintained with a vibrant display of flowers adding a splash of color to the green landscape. It's an ideal destination for recreational activities with ample open spaces and facilities catering to all age groups and interests. Dog walkers and children will find plenty of room for play and exploration. At the heart of the park lies a charming pond, well-kept and inviting throughout the seasons. Even in the midst of winter, the park's maintenance is commendable, with snow-cleared pathways ensuring accessibility and safety. Parking is a breeze here, a rare luxury in such an urban setting. While the park is not typically crowded, it transforms into a lively hub during summer weekends, hosting a variety of events that draw in residents and tourists alike. As much as I adore Loring Park, it does have room for improvement. The addition of a few more attractions, such as a grand fountain or an interactive outdoor exhibit, could elevate its appeal further. Regardless, Loring Park remains a beloved spot where I find solace during spring, summer, and fall. Its cleanliness, variety of activities, and peaceful ambiance never fail to impress, making it a jewel in the heart of Minneapolis.
