Highlights

We love good friends, good tunes, and good times. We pour wine, beer, cider, and sake made with a strong point of view and a light hand. Our wines are sustainably grown and made with little to nothing added or taken away-- they are delicious and really express their time and place of origin.

"There’s plenty of brainstorming happening over sustainably grown vino at Lorne Wine—part community hangout, part bar and wine shop—which partners with Rabelais on regular events."

"This wine bar/bottle shop has a serious selection of wines, and owners Carson James and Erin Sheehan keep it accessible with a fun and approachable attitude. Wines by the glass, beer, and a small menu of quirky pub snacks (like cheeseballs) are available." - Kate McCarty

Yelp
What can I say? I don't live in Biddeford, but this has quickly become my *neighborhood bar*. Lorne offers an exceptional array of wine, beer and cider at very reasonable prices and Carson, Erin and Suze provide fantastic service. I've always been a bit intimidated by wine bars, since they typically feel a bit pretentious, but Lorne is the exact opposite! Questions are always met with a smile and a well thought out reply. I truly learn something new every time I'm here. They support many non mainstream producers - (with a focus on sustainability!) so you can try something new without breaking the bank. I would say almost all of their bottles are under the $30 price point. If you're staying for a drink, they have a good selection of wines by the glass, and they usually have a few additional bottles open - so definitely ask if you don't see what you want! They also have a few beers on tap, which my husband is more than happy to participate in. Their $1 cheese balls are one of the best things I've ever seen on a menu. They also have a few other snacks (like pimiento cheese & Sunday oysters) if you need a bite. I can't recommend Lorne enough!!

Yelp
I love everything that Lorne has to offer Biddeford. Biddeford has become such a blossoming city with the establishments that it holds, and Lorne certainly is adding to the charm that is building the city up. I have been to Lorne a few times, and the first thing that I always recognize and notice is the atmosphere. The outside of the facility has a vibrant and colorful mural that sets it apart from other businesses around. When you walk in, it's open, spacious and welcoming with its two bars and various greenery throughout the venue. Each time I have come to Lorne, Carson, one of the owners has been working, and he is incredibly personable and easy to talk to. In the times that I have been in, he has talked about his time in Texas and how him and his wife loved what was happening in Biddeford and wanted to contribute to the expansion of Biddeford, and that is where Lorne came to be. Lorne offers a variety of different wines that are not something that you would find elsewhere. Carson is always knowledgeable about what is on the menu and is eager to talk about things that you would like. There are also some great local beer options in draft and in cans, as well as some unique cocktail options that feature some of the wines offered. In the Spring/Summer months, Lorne also has various breweries come in to talk and have tastings with customers about their beers, which is a cool and unique experience, especially when it comes to Biddeford. I hope Lorne is here to stay, because it's a trendy, cool spot that continues to grow a following. Definitely a place I will continue to come to when I am in the Biddeford area.

Yelp
I've been to Lorne many times to buy wine to-go and also to sit in for a glass. The staff at Lorne is super knowledgeable about wine and always willing to teach me something new! I love their dedication to stocking unique wines and enjoy their open-concept store. Their "clear the cooler" specials are great, as well as their $1 oysters (keep tabs on their Instagram to know when this is happening). They collab with other local businesses and host fun pop-up events as well. Lorne rocks!

Yelp

Yelp
My wife and I love Lorne. We moved to Biddo in July and have been to Lorne for a couple of their classes (one on beer w/ Mike from Oxbow) and the other on French wines with Ned. Both Carson and Erin have brought something unique to southern Maine and Biddeford. As some have framed it, the city is experiencing a "Biddessance" of sorts and places like Lorne have a lot to do with the atmosphere and vibe, downtown. If you're a bit intimidated by wine, Lorne isn't a snobb-ish wine shop, either. You can grab a beer, or try one of their flights (three half pours of wine), which is a great way to sample something new and unique. On our most recent visit, we had Hannah "surprise" us with the pours and we loved what she brought out for us. Being new to town, Lorne is becoming one of our favorite places to stop in and feel welcome. The space is warm and both Carson, Erin (and Hannah) go above and beyond to make you feel like you're one of the "cool kids" when you stop by.

Yelp
Loved it! Cute space, great wine, attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly staff! Very happy we stopped by!

Yelp
This place is amazing. We walked in the day after christmas and each got a flight, dealer's choice. The wines were all delightful, unique, and delicious. If you love wine and you're nearby, stop in. You can drink and buy a bottle to take home!

Yelp
What a great addition to the downtown breweries and quickly redeveloping mill town. A quick walk from Elda or Run of The Mill. Erin, owner, has passion, excitement, and knowledge about their collections of wines. Perfect venue to reconnect with an old friend or a new one. We will be back.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came while on a Maine vacation and driving through Biddeford, and I am so happy we stumbled upon Lorne. It had such a cool aesthetic to hang out in- fun wall art, fresh flowers, great music. One of the owners, Carson, was there to help us and led us to try so many wines we would never have encountered otherwise. He was so knowledgable about regions and styles and he was a blast to talk to. This spot is new but it feels like they know their niche. I wish I was local because it would become a regular spot for trying and buying new wines. Highly recommend checking it out!

Yelp
Always worth stopping at. Great, unique wine in a good environment. Owners know their stuff and that shows in the selection and appreciation. Good prices on bottles if you need to pick up something fun to have at home or take to an event.

Yelp
Lorne is an exemplary experience for wine tasting. Erin and her husband have truly created a place where you can taste any selection of excellently curated wines (along with a delicious variation of cheese, charcuterie, and snacks) that varies over the seasons. They are not only incredibly knowledgeable about every wine they carry but there's no ego at all in this space. Perfect spot to explore something new, taste something you love, and be surrounded by great company!

Yelp
How far we've come ... Biddeford has two wine bars now!! I visited this one earlier this week (a few weeks after their opening) and was sincerely impressed with the atmosphere and their selection of wines. Once they add small bites to the menu, this will be a complete package. I wish they had had a Cabernet when they visited. I will return and I look forward to seeing them learn and grow.

Yelp
Favorite place in town to hang. Good vibes, great/interesting wines, and amazing owners. Check it out!

Yelp
great selection, knowledgable staff. wines by the glass are a little pricey ($10+) but are great. the bartender had me drinking chardonnay! (usually dont like) bought three bottles im excited about + 3 glasses of wine = $100 w/tip. i dont think thats unreasonable but suspect they need some glasses in the $6-$9 range (or promotions) to establish a strong foothold in Biddo. love that it's next to Dizzy Birds and Que Hong - great food right next door! Highly recommend Lorne.
