Can't say enough good things about Lorraine's Bake Shop! Bill and Lorraine are wonderful and so kind! I really enjoyed my walnut banana bread. My wife was ecstatic about her gluten free chocolate chip cookie! And the freshly ground, made-to-order coffees were perfect! The atmosphere is so warm and cozy, very inviting. The furniture was very comfortable. They have some table top games, as well as sidewalk chalk for the sidewalk out in front. It's a great spot to relax by yourself or to enjoy some company.

This is the cutest bake shop in Montgomery with the sweetest most welcoming owners and the desserts are so yummy. I love the intention and detail that the owners have put into every detail of this shop. The ambience and peacefulness you feel when here is much needed. I had the pumpkin cinnamon coffee cake and let’s just say I’ll be back for more. If you haven’t been here then you are truly missing one of the best bake shops in the city 🫶🏾

Twice in one day!! We stumbled on Lorraine’s on a search for coffee while the MLK Day parade was happening. What a find! Enjoyed lattes in the window nook- a cozy spot to watch the parade. Both the regular latte and the cinnamon hearth were delicious. And they had gluten-free options for my friend. We stopped back in before heading out of town and got some sweet treats for the road. Didn’t make it out of Montgomery before devouring the blondie. We will be back!!!

The most beautiful place for coffee and something sweet I have seen in the US. The atmosphere is so peaceful, the welcome so kind, the view from the very comfi seating 🛋"in the window" is nice and entertaining, the cookie 🍪 was good, the latte was tasty, the background music 🎶 adds to the relaxed feeling. A wonderful place.

My coworkers & I came across this shop randomly when looking for a place to work on a group project & it was amazing! The owners are so sweet & welcomed everyone who came in as if they were family! It’s the cutest place. Great homework, relaxing, and family atmosphere.

Visiting Montgomery and had a taste for a milkshake. I found Lorraine’s Bake Shop and let me tell yo, I wish I could give this place 10 stars! Just an all around great experience! I got a small praline pecan-n-cream milkshake and it was delicious. I got a look at the cookies and had to get some to go, and they were equally delicious! The atmosphere is absolutely peaceful! I walked in and I feel like I was in a family member’s kitchen, but also a quaint coffee shop, if I had the time, I absolutely would have sat down and enjoyed my items. Everyone was super friendly and helpful too! Just everything you want from a bake shop!!

I have never seen a cuter cozier cafe before in my entire life. Picture this: you’re a little kid coming outside from playing in the snow, and you sit in your grandmas kitchen, smelling the delicious cookies she’s baking. The fireplace is on, and you’re warming up your cold hands. The store is run by two sweetest owners ever, and the cafe feels like home. I can’t fathom the idea of any flaws this cafe could possibly have. Prices are so reasonable also., ice cream and cookie cost me $7! Wishing the best of business to the owners!❤️❤️❤️

The Cinnamon Kiss latte is the BEST I've had in my life! You seriously cannot beat the friendly service, perfect food, and soothing atmosphere here. We will absolutely be returning. If you haven't tried Lorraine's, you're missing out on a charming experience!

Was in town and stopped by for a few quick sweet treats and coffee. The coffee was delicious. Those in our group who got sweets enjoyed them.

Cute downtown location with surrounding shops and a historic fountain to visit. Bakery goods were better than what grandma made... snickerdoodle cookies and banana bread got washed down by a hot vanilla latte on my road trip pit stop. Great quality and portions for cost. 10/10 recommend stopping here if you're looking to curb the sweet tooth demons. The smell outside the store called me inside... I stepped into baked goods heaven. MUST VISIT AGAIN

The gentleman was nice to me when I stopped by. The bake shop has some cool bakery items. I enjoyed my cookie and I will definitely go back the next time I'm in the area.

This is the BEST bakery/coffee shop I've ever been to! We are in town for the weekend and have come everyday so far because the ambience, desserts, and coffee all OUTSTANDING. Above all else though, the owners are the KINDEST people we have ever met. We could've stayed chatting with them all day. Lorraine's is a MUST TRY! Our favorite desserts were the oatmeal creme pies, cinnamon rolls, and the cookies, don't forget to grab a coffee as well!

Lorraine's is worth the stop while passing through Montgomery. Wide variety of pastries to choose from - I had banana bread and a chocolate chip cookie, both of which were moist and delicious. I especially liked that there was a microwave available to heat up the items if wanted. Overall, I loved the shop's homely feel - it was the perfect break for my friends and I on our trip down to Florida

Delicious cookies! Relaxed and warm atmosphere to hang out and enjoy coffee/tea and their baked goods or ice cream. You won't find better service in town either. What a pleasant surprise in downtown Montgomery!

We ordered a mix of baked goodies. The gingerbread oatmeal cream pie was hands down my favorite. That said, everything we had was delicious. The couple that runs the shop are incredibly nice and patient as we tried to narrow down our choices. The shop has an inviting , home-kitchen atmosphere. We will definitely stop here the next time we come to town.

What an amazing find! I had this place bookmarked before leaving Tampa. It just happened to pop up on Google reviews as being a new bakery. I didn't exactly know where it was until the baristas at Prevail Union pointed me in the right direction. Low and behold, it was right across the street from Lower Dexter Park and next door to Island Delight. It's difficult to see the sign from across the street. Just look for the mixing tools on the glass windows. It's such a cozy atmosphere. It has a farm house feel. There's lots of seating. I believe they serve coffee and tea as well. Lorraine was very friendly, and gave us an introduction to all of her baked goodies. I knew I hit the bakery jackpot as soon as I entered. The aroma of fresh baked cookies hit me almost immediately. I couldn't get just one item. I ended up getting the very popular ginger oatmeal cream pie. There was already a customer eating one of these cookie sandwiches when we arrived. He wasn't the first to recommend it. One of the baristas at Prevail Union said that I must get one. She was right. I split it with my brother who also thought it was very good. I loved it so much that I got another one the next day. Only this time, I didn't share it. All the cookies I had throughout the 3 days I was there were delicious. My personal favorites are the white chocolate macadamia and the chocolate chip cookies. I only wish I had bought more to take home with me. Everything I had was freshly baked with love. This will be on the top of my list the next time I'm in MGM. I'm hoping to go back one day soon with my husband. It's THE place to go if you have a sweet tooth like me. It's a short walk from all the museums, hotels, and stadium. They also bake for special occasions. All of you living in MGM are so lucky to have it. Support this new local bakery!

Came to Montgomery running from the hurricane in FL and stopped by this local shop for something sweet. Lorraine & Bill were very friendly! We got a dozen of cookies- honestly all of them were good. The seasonals were by far the best! A bonus- they give military discount

i visited lorraine's a few weeks ago and i was excited based on the previous reviews i loved the atmosphere and the staff was friendly however the m&m cookie i bought tasted like it came from the walmart bakery not good and the cinnamon roll blondie was dry and didn't taste like cinnamon at all be careful with your selections it all looked great but looks can be deceiving

Lorraine and Keira were both amazing and very hospitable! It's nice to walk into a place and be greeted with a smile! Nice little bake shop with cute decor! I got the cinnamon blondie and it did not disappoint! Will definitely be back next time I'm in town! Support local business so that we may enjoy these places in the future!

Lorraine and bill are awesome! They have done a few special orders for me and they are always great! Love their new shop downtown! Just wonderful people!

ah lorraine - you let me down. I was in montgomery for work and went out of my way to support a local bakery. I double checked the hours before driving across down to hopefully get a delicious croissant. Unfortunately upon my arrival I found a sign saying the bakery would open late today (it was 3:45 pm). After sulking for a brief moment, I decided to peek inside at the delicious pastries I'd be missing out on. To my chagrin, my eyes were met by workers standing inside at the bar staring at me. After a brief ocular stand off, I walked away to find somewhere else to go (I recommend prevail union across the street). But hey! When it comes down to it there are two sides to every story - perhaps a family emergency or a much needed mental wellness break. No one will ever truly pinpoint the cause of this mildly inconvenient hiccup in my day. All I know is - ya can't support a local small business if the local small business won't open the door. 1/5 stars.
