"This Mexican spot on the waterfront can feel more like Miami than California Wine Country, with a big mural, flowers dropping from the ceiling, and a buzzing scene that’ll leave you wanting to hang out drinking margaritas all night. Order the braised beef quesabirrias, served with a delicious consomme, the flavorful ceviche verde mixto, and the grilled octopus salad with a mango-guajillo puree. If you’re on the run or find yourself at the Napa Premium Outlets, stop by the food truck that started it all, in the shopping center’s parking lot." - Christina Julian

Fabolous service, delicious food, wonderful ambience! My coworkers and I had a wonderful time here for lunch. The staff were very attentive and kind and brought our food out very quickly and accurately. I can't wait to visit again!

Google
Authentic Mexican cuisine with big portions! The margaritas are tasty and all prices are reasonable. Only thing missing was chorizo. The waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. We never had to wait for anything!

Google
Los Agaves has become one of Royal Palms stalwart, go-to restaurants offering large portions of classic Northern Mexican cuisine in a festive, if not over-the-top, atmosphere. The food and service at Los Agaves are reliably good, and a meal here is bound to be affordable and satisfying. The menu is full of dishes that will be familiar to anyone who has eaten at a Mexican restaurant over the last forty years. There's the expected selection of tacos, burritos, enchiladas, chimichangas and fajitas rounded out by more complete dinners featuring grilled or roasted meats, all served with sides of refried beans and Mexican rice. While the menu offerings and style of the surroundings might feel a bit outdated to some customers, the food's quality and value combined with the folksy feel of the restaurant mean that Los Agaves remains a solid choice for an everyday meal or special outing with the family.

Google
Los Agaves never lets my family down when we need our Mexican fix! Free chips and salsa is always a plus and keeps us coming back! Their queso is delicious and their food portions are generous. For this reason we continue to show up and support this restaurant. Thank you for creating a welcoming, clean, friendly establishment!

I love Mexican food and this was the very type of Mexican Restaurant that I like. The food was excellent! Chips and very spicy salsa. 2 Enchiladas and 1 beef taco - perfect with sweet iced-tea. Service was friendly and superb! Will definitely be coming back!!!

This place is awesome! Great service and amazing food! Finally found some great Carne Asada! Something I've been looking for since leaving California!

Yelp
Best food around! Jack took care of us and did a fantastic job, excellent service. The chicken tiki masala is 10/10

Yelp
The place for Mexican in the lox/acreage/Wellington area. Lively atmosphere, festive decor, the food is generously portioned and tasty. I had the fajitas which was hot and fresh. The queso dip is a favorite. I will be back.

Yelp
This updated review is in response to the owner with his reply that my personal review (which I place a high level of standards on myself to be factual and share my personal experience honestly) I posted that my food (Meat in the Mexican pizza specifically) was cold / Luke warm and that it would most likely have not passed if a food inspector went. The owner replied that "I found your last comments to be in poor taste and most undoubtedly unfactual and unnecessary." I would not post something that I did not experience, and every thing in my review was mentioned as being necessary (This is, after all, my review) For anyone who ever has questions Yelp will post the latest food inspection reports as well as you can retrieve from Tallahassee website. But since the owner chose to say I was lying, I have attached the 2 last reports.

Yelp
Everything is super fresh and delicious!!! Service was top notch!! The second you walk in you feel like you are in Mexico! The decor is amazing! Cannot wait to go back! So sad we didn't find this place sooner!

Yelp
Perfect perfect spot for lunch. They offer a great lunch menu. Service it's good and the ambiance it's pure Mexican style. It's my go to when I'm in the area.

Shruti K.

Yelp
Very authentic Mexican food. Loved the shrimp bowl and burrito - huge portions! Great ambience and service !

Yelp
Bad service , the girl taking my order don't even know the menu and took forever to take my order .after 30 minutes we got the food . It had no flavor , the plates were poorly served , the carnitas plate had absolutely no flavor , hard , dry , the arroz con pollo was basically boil chicken and full of green pepper and no flavor , what a Valentine's dinner !!!

Yelp
Great food. 2 for 1 margaritas & $3.75 Mexican lagers. LOVE family owned businesses that knock out great food and service. The owner Maria & her son Fernando are the absolute best!

Yelp
Where has this gem been? I clearly missed it. I mean it's rare that I come out to the Royal Palm area. The margaritas frozen or not were buy one get one free, score! The service was great, our server was so much fun, he checked in on us often, he def made sure our food was prepared the way we asked. So all of us took our food home as the portions were a lot or it could be we drank to many frozen drinks lol. The place stayed busy from what we saw. We spent about 4 hours there that night.

Yelp
Poor quality food. This was not only the worst Mexican food but the worst food I've had anywhere. I took my family to have dinner at this restaurant because the reviews were good. Party of four, four mediocre meals. My carne asada was disgusting. My daughter's enchilada was so bad she ended up just eating the chips and salsa. My granddaughter took one bite of her chicken taco and said it didn't taste like chicken. I took a bite of it and it tasted like chicken from a can. My other granddaughter ordered the chicken tenders with fries. She liked the fries but not the chicken tenders. I tried a piece of one of her chicken tenders and it tasted worse than precooked frozen chicken. We liked the chips and salsa, and the waitress did a good job. But the food was the worst food I've ever been served at any restaurant.

Yelp
This is a great local gem for RPB. It's located in the Winn Dixie plaza. A great authentic Mexican restaurant with a lot of options. We stopped by here for lunch and they have a great lunch options. We were seated right away & was served chips and salsa. They gave us 2 types, spicy and mild. Both were great. We ordered the quesadilla combo with shredded beef. It was delicious. We also ordered the steak asada bowl. Very flavorful. The restaurant has a lot of seating with Mexican decor. They also serve Coca Cola products. We ordered 1 soda & those 2 lunch meals and our lunch was $27.

Yelp
Back at this strip mall with plenty of parking in front. When we stepped inside we were in Mexico. The decor, music & scents transported us. Thirty-eight lunch specials all under $12 from 11:00 until 3:00. We are back in a booth in the main dining room. Tried taquitos today & my husband stuck with his taco combo again. Warm chips & flavorful salsa with fresh cilantro & veggies came when we were seated, they are a treat. Service was friendly, attentive & efficient again. Our lunch was authentic, generous & very delicious!

Yelp
I will give it two stars because the Pollo con queso is actually really good but it's just chicken smothered with cheese. I ordered the flauta which traditionally all over Mexico they make with flour tortilla, but not here. They made it with corn and the rude waitress told me that if I wanted flour, I should've ordered a taquito which to me traditionally is made with corn at every single Mexican restaurant around aside from this one. (which it does not say on the menu.) They put the crispy flauta on top of soaking wet bed of lettuce which intern made it soggy and not really edible . The margaritas taste like some kind of soap or Pine-Sol mix.. The staff isn't really friendly and I believe the only reason this place does as well as it does is because the area that it's in, there's nothing else around here . It has a cool vibe. The decor music is definitely a Mexican vibe, but the food could use a lot of improvement. .

Yelp
As far as these reviews go... When people have a good experience in a restaurant, they usually don't tell anybody. When people have a bad experience, they shout it from the rooftops. That being said, I love eating at this restaurant. I haven't had a bad meal or any issue that would deem typing. Honestly, the only reason I'm here is because I googled the menu so I could get a carne asada burrito for take out, gonna watch the game tonight.

Jim S.

Yelp
Excellent service, great beer selection, and they even serve pitchers of beer! Order the hot salsa. It's great!

Sheyla G.

Yelp
Wow such great food and ambiance. Our waiter Fernando was excellent. We had the burrito steak and the carne asada platter. Both amazing and flavorful. We will be back. Sorry no pics we were really hungry and it was too good to wait.

Yelp
Lunch on Saturday, met by a friendly bartender, Miguel. Quickly noticed, 'condiment' rack, with top shelf hot sauces and salt & pepper grinders, indicative of a 'customer aware' restaurant. Large menu, decided on ordering from lunch selections and chose enchiladas. I was pleasantly surprised that Miguel was very accommodating when I asked for 'mole' sauce & one chicken, one beef enchilada. Again, a customer focused establishment, many restaurants would not allow straying from a lunch menu. Excellent draft beer selection, finding Modelo Negro on tap. The dish was eye pleasing and both the beef & chicken cooked well. And this is why I did not give 5 stars, food was good to taste though it lacked a Mexican kick to it. The mole sauce was tasty, though again, a bit on the bland side. Looking around the restaurant, at the diners, found middle aged & older customers that may be a reason for holding back on a more elaborate Mexican flair to dishes? Not fond of 'Americanized' margaritas, found Miguel in 'yes' mode when I ordered Herradura, Cointreau & lime juice margarita, perfect. BTW the atmosphere, very pleasant & family friendly. In closing, I will return soon and this time, order a 'chef special' or a dish, more geared to allow the chef to get beyond the 'americanization' of their selections.

Yelp
Great ambiance as soon as you walk through the door. Place was well decorated and all the staff seemed very friendly. Came with my daughter on a late Friday afternoon. We were immediately seated and given chips/salsa for the table. Went to the restroom to wash our hands and it was VERY clean. My Grand Margarita was very watered down. I tasted no patron in the Margarita. I ordered the arroz con pollo. The description does state it comes in a sauce but from the picture on the menu I just wasn't expecting so much sauce. The plate was plopped in front of me and it did not look appetizing at all. I got it with tortillas. On a positive note it did taste like the ingredients used were fresh but ...the sauce just tasted like tomato sauce to me. I could taste no other flavor. The rice was soaked in the sauce and I am very much a texture person so that threw me off as well. This could very well be how it's supposed to be served but I just wasn't expecting that and that's what lead to my disappointment. This does not mean I wouldn't go back and try other items on the menu. They have plenty to choose from. It started getting very crowded as soon as we were getting ready to leave. Seems like a very popular local spot so I would definitely try it again.

Yelp
Not the best Mexican food but not bad The salsa is very bland and the fajita is good but not the best I've had

Vanessa R.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Royal palm. I used to come a lot here when I worked across the street. Food is delicious big portions amazing drinks!!!

Michael P.

Yelp
We just went to this restaurant for the first time today for dinner. I was so glad we did. We both thought the meals were outstanding. Had the#14 Combo of a chile relleno, enchilada and tostada. My wife had the fajita quesadillas. Our waiter was very prompt and friendly. The restaurant is very nicely decorated with a festive atmosphere. This will be our new go to Mexican restaurant. We loved it.

Scarlet S.

Yelp
My family really enjoys this spot we come here often.. The food is good, the atmosphere is fun, the prices are reasonable and the portions are large. Once in a while (but it's rare) we hit a little snag in the service but any problems we've ever had are immediately corrected. Highly recommend for a casual lunch or dinner.

Yelp
Located in Royal Palm Beach, Los Agaves is a quaint place to go for your favourite Tex-Mex favourites! Lots of appropriate decor to put you in the mood, it is a spacious restaurant that is kept pretty clean, and even features a full bar. I went with my granddaughter, and was seated rapidly. We were waited on promptly with a smiling waiter. He was very accommodating for my granddaughter. Brought a highchair to me, and even thoughtfully put the ordered apple juice in a cup with straw. They do have a kids menu here with adequate options for little ones. I opted for a Mexican chicken salad. I got the ground beef quesadillas for my granddaughter. The quesadillas was more than she could've possibly eaten. Very reasonably priced at $7.25, the quesadillas were delicious and my two-year-old granddaughter could only eat almost half of her plate. But they made for a very happy kid. The salad was huge. Liberally covered with cotija, the salad was very fresh and tasty. I was only able to eat half of my salad and wound up boxing the rest for later. I didn't even need dressing for my salad, opting to add the chips salsa on top for flavor. And speaking of the chips salsa, they give you two options of spicy and mild. The salsa tastes fresh and has a nice kick. The spicy is quite spicy, so beware if you don't like spices. Even my granddaughter could tolerate the mild. It has a very light zing to it. overall, it was a nice surprise coming here. We had a lovely time! Decent prices, generous portions, and friendly service. I will be back again.

Yelp
I go here all the time because it's close to my house. The food is soo good it's exactly what you're looking for in Mexican food. The service is good they always offer u assistance and the wait is never long. The ambiance is exactly what you'd expect from a Mexican restaurant and it's nice.

Wade J.

Yelp
The food here is great and was in my back yard all along. The super burrito with green chili is amazing. The prices are just as good!

John R.

Yelp
I like this Mexican restaurant. They do not have just the traditional menu. Many options to select from. Service has been hit and miss. Ambiance is what you would expect.

Yunior R.

Yelp
La mejor comida del mundo soy cubana pero amo todo de México, este restaurante es el mejor les recomiendo el plato El Patrón es una delicia y las margaritas

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Had the chicken burrito. Was good size and definitely filled me up, just felt the chicken was a little dry. The rice and beans were good as well. Would recommend if you are looking for a quick meal to fill you up.

Shakira L.

Yelp
The food was amazing. They give you great portions definitely worth the value. Awesome staff & service they are very friendly they treat you like your family. We went for a birthday celebration and they were attentive to the entire table of 8+ people. The place is so beautifully decorated very authentic vibe. I will definitely be going again.

Andrew A.

Yelp
Beautifully decorated restaurant. The service was prompt and excellent. The food was delicious but gets only 4/5 stars unfortunately because the cut of beef is one that can easily be overcooked and when that happens, it becomes chewy. That was the case with the El Patron. The flavors were top notch but my jaw got a workout chewing on it. Another little critique was that the margarita was a touch too sweet, even after the ice watered it down. With those quibbles out of the way, it is 5-star worthy and deserving of future patronage.

Pamela P.

Yelp
Every time I go here I'm in love food is great not over priced lunch specials and combo plates are a must ! The food is flavorful and fresh and drinks are pretty good as well one of my go to Mexican spots !

Amanda M.

Yelp
This place never disappoints. We have been going here for years and every single time the food, service, and environment are on point. Everyone that works there is so incredibly nice, I usually get the same thing every time (steak burrito w/rice & beans), the portions are always more than enough and it always tastes amazing, and we never have to wait a long time to sit, order, or get our food & drinks. A++++++ across the board for Los Agaves for sure!

Adriana R.

Yelp
We stop here for a drink whenever we are in the area. They have a nice bar area with a couple of TV and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. Sadly their HH is limited only to drinks. I usually order a beer but this time I wanted to try their Margarita, which was very light and too sweet in my opinion. The prices have gone up a little bit, but after you see their huge portions, you will still think that they are cheap! We ordered a couple of appetizers "just to accompany" our drinks, but we basically ended up having an early dinner!! Both the Sampler and the Jalapenos Poppers were maybe a little bit too hot, but both dishes were good. The biggest complaint (and the reason for my rating) is the service. There is no bartender: it seems they only have waiters, who are all serving both the dinner room and the bar whenever they have time (although the restaurant was almost empty, when we arrived), and it was very difficult to get their attention. Maybe they are just short-staffed; we will definitely stop there again, if we happen to be in the area.

Tj S.

Yelp
Good food and service. Chimis are awesome as well as the margaritas. It's a good value for the price as well.

Roody P.

Yelp
The food is amazing and great service I haven't had authentic Mexican food so close to home in a while! It really gives the vibe that you're not even in your home neighborhood!

Lisa S.

Yelp
We really enjoyed this restaurant . A lot of choices to choose from . The portions were plentiful . The food was delicious and fresh . The service was excellent . Our servers were polite and didn't rush out . The food prices were very reasonable . I will be coming back again.

Pablo D.

Yelp
Service is good, food is good, and the ambiance is nice! We enjoyed it very much! Try the organic margarita is delicious!

Greta D.

Yelp
It's been quite awhile since dining here simply because we moved away. We're back & decided we had to try it again. The restaurant looks exactly the same, very Mexico authentic & very clean. Our waiter came over right away & took our drink & app order. Then we could give the menu a good look over. There are many choices but what I loved was that smaller plate choices are available for less cost. Yes. I had the carne asada (because all the pix on Yelp looked amazing)! Like the pix, it was soooo good! Thin. Some nice char on the ends. And still tender & moist! Unfortunately, our guacamole app never came but we'll try it next time. Comparing this to my original review, I still feel like they play it safe as far as spices, but judging by the crowds who kept coming in, everyone seems to love it! We did!

Brian C.

Yelp
Great food and ok atmosphere. Staff is very attentive. Been the about 5 times and never had a bad experience. Food is top notch.

Debi P.

Yelp
Chips and salsa to start. Yum! !! Have to watch myself not to eat to many and save room for the meal. I ordered Steak Fajitas and hubby ordered Tacos. Both delicious. Staff always friendly. Service was fast.

Christine C.

Yelp
I love it here. Everything I've had has been pretty great. My absolute favorite is the El Patron. It has steak, shrimp, rice, beans, and comes with tortillas. It's so delicious. The drinks here ABSOLUTELY cannot be beat. My favorite place to have a drink by far. The Lambrusco margaritas are divine. The taquitos are great, the queso is wonderful. All the food I've gotten has been delicious and I'm definitely here at least once a month.

ruth m.

Yelp
The food was of poor quality. I won't b going back. The service was good. Someone recommended this place & I can't figure out why??????

Tom M.

Yelp
Service is good. Only issue is the Taquitos were really not fried like usual and had 0 flavor so I had to give up my Fajitas to the wife. The sacrifice I make.

Charie H.

Yelp
Great food! My family and I go often and service is always great. Good cheese dip and Mexican pizza

Savannah L.

Yelp
LOVE!! So good. Eat here at least 2 times a week! Always packed but worth the wait in my opinion!

Pedro V.

Yelp
I am a regular there. The food and service are very good. Never had a bad meal there in over 5 years! Everything has been very good! Their margaritas are excellent!

Yelp
Came to this place as I just moved to the area.....the food is aaaaaamazing! Service was prompt and helpful with making a dinner selection from their HUGE menu! Will be back here at least once a week!!! Try the quest dip.....YUMMMM

Vin G.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying this establishment had fantastic customer service, was clean, and very fun to be in. My 3 star review is because the food was average. Salsa was very runny. Food was kind of bland. Carne Asada for two of the entrees was overcook. Jalapeño poppers came out on a plate of fries.
