Lunch on Saturday, met by a friendly bartender, Miguel. Quickly noticed, 'condiment' rack, with top shelf hot sauces and salt & pepper grinders, indicative of a 'customer aware' restaurant. Large menu, decided on ordering from lunch selections and chose enchiladas. I was pleasantly surprised that Miguel was very accommodating when I asked for 'mole' sauce & one chicken, one beef enchilada. Again, a customer focused establishment, many restaurants would not allow straying from a lunch menu. Excellent draft beer selection, finding Modelo Negro on tap. The dish was eye pleasing and both the beef & chicken cooked well. And this is why I did not give 5 stars, food was good to taste though it lacked a Mexican kick to it. The mole sauce was tasty, though again, a bit on the bland side. Looking around the restaurant, at the diners, found middle aged & older customers that may be a reason for holding back on a more elaborate Mexican flair to dishes? Not fond of 'Americanized' margaritas, found Miguel in 'yes' mode when I ordered Herradura, Cointreau & lime juice margarita, perfect. BTW the atmosphere, very pleasant & family friendly. In closing, I will return soon and this time, order a 'chef special' or a dish, more geared to allow the chef to get beyond the 'americanization' of their selections.
