33 LA Restaurants To Help You Avoid Delivery Deja Vu

"Ăn Cơm is a new homestyle Vietnamese pop-up. Here’s how it works: Once a week, they drop their menu on Instagram - most recently, it’s featured dishes like gà rô-ti, or five-spiced roasted chicken, thịt kho (caramel-braised pork with quail eggs) and pastelitos, flaky pastries made with banana jam and coconut caramel. Once that goes live, head to their link in bio to place an order, then wait for them to send you the address for pick-up. But be warned - you gotta be quick. Pre-orders tend to sell out within the hour." - kat hong

These fantastic people lend their voice to voiceless and vulnerable by shining a spotlight on greedy, amoral slumlords and by pushing for legislation designed to curb the ever-increasing marginalization of LA's most vulnerable citizens. Bravo, LACAN! 👏

The Best! 5++ Stars I would have been uplifted long ago had I stopped by before. Yesterday was my first day. There's hope for humanity with a community organization like LACAN. WE ALL ARE HUMAN. WE ALL ARE ONE. Music, health, poetry, uplifting speeches and a Safe Place. I'm preparing a meal by adding a couple of the vegetables we were blessed with yesterday. (Picture of what I'm cooking now). LACAN distributed veggies and fruit. A meal of vegetarian mini-burritos and juice made from the rooftop farm fruit. Humanity-affirming experience!!!

I joined LAcan to help myself and my neighbors. I joined the "Tenants Rights Committee." These people are wonderful and they are a great resource for Pro Bono lawyers. Staff is very energetic. Very positive. I hope noone reading this ever needs their help. If you do they will welcome you with kindness good cheer, and hope to solve your tenant issues. Kc
