Los Arcos Kitchen & Cantina- South

It was my second time there. The server was the same young lady I had the first time I was there. She recognized me and knew what I was going to order. She even remembered my food allergies. She asked about my girlfriend, whom I had sent pictures of the enormous burrito I ordered. The food was fabulous, as was my server. The nursing staff at the Moyo Clinic recommended this place as do I.

We had lunch here while visiting family in town. We’ll definitely be back when we move! Everything was good, the Chile Colorado wasn’t terribly spicy but was very tasty. Yummy tres leches cake too! We sat outside; service was prompt and the patio was nice and not too noisy.

Best new find! Food was delicious, and the portions were very generous. Nice location and ambiance. Will for sure come back.

This is some of the best Mexican food I have had as far as Americanized. It is DELICIOUS! Atmosphere was neutral and the service was great, but they were slow - needed refills repeatedly. Still, food and service were great, if you are in the Rochester area and you want Mexican food, look no further!

Wow. We came during lunch and were very impressed with the prices and quality of food. Puff tacos were perfectly balanced with many flavors and are going to be a staple when coming here now. Street steak tacos were generously portioned and had the perfect amount of onion and cilantro. I also liked that nothing was spicy unless you wanted it to be. The street tacos came with a sauce on the side instead of on the tacos which I liked. Los favoritos was filling and appetizing. Restaurant was clean and staff was friendly. We also got a complimentary chips and salsa appetizer! We will definitely be back.

There are two locations in town, this is the larger, original location in town. Conveniently located near the airport, convention center and walking distance to a hotel. There food is 100% delicious, even if you’re not a fan of Mexican. It’s so full of flavor. I love eating at either location. I brought a friend who dislikes spicy food, so she never eat Mexican. I promised it wouldn’t he hot or too spicy. It’s full of flavor, but they allow you to add the heat as YOU prefer. They have a very large menu, wonderful cocktails and great desserts. The chocolate cake is our favorite. They serve salsa and black bean dip while you ponder their menu options. Service is always quick and helpful. You might have to wait on Friday/Saturdays evening for a table, but it’s worth the short wait. The tables are cute as they are giant barrels with a table on top.

Food was great! The restaurant was full, so to be expected service a bit slower, but they still did a great job keeping up.

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is served hot and quickly. The portions are generous! Jumbo margaritas and chips with salsa are definitely a winning combination!

Recently had lunch on a Saturday and had pleasant dining experience. I have eaten at Los Arcos North and find the food to be nothing special. However, the lunch we had South was delicious! My lunch mate ordered the beef Puff Taco and was able to take some home for a second meal. I ordered the Quesabirria and it was fantastic (enough for a second meal). The flavor of the beef was great. It came with rice and I found that to be dry. I'm not a Mexican rice fan anyway and will request the green salad or refried beans in the future. The bean dip is awesome with the chips. Was super pleased with our food and service.

A Mexican restaurant. in Rochester with an extensive menu. How can 4 large pages of a different dishes on a menu all be good? The fact is they aren't all going to be. I chose Enchiladas Suizas. My friend ordered the Chicken Quesadilla. We were given a delicious black bean dip and terrific salsa which we polished off with gusto! Our waiter was wonderful, attentive and friendly. The restaurant is good sized, clean, great atmosphere and located just off Hwy 52 so very easy for out of town visitors. We were served both dishes in about 20 minutes... not a good sign. I once ate at a Don Pablo's in Roseville, MN. My food was hot on the outside & frozen at the center. When I asked how that could happen the waiter said they place what you order on s plate sprinkle with cheese and run it under a conveyor belt. There were 2 slices of barely melted Swiss cheese laying on top of a molten mass of something creamy and oily. I took a bite and that was it. Gross. My friend loved her quesadilla. I would say this place is hit or miss. The unmelted cheese was my path to a refund. I didn't want to reorder due to our schedules. Safe to say I won't revisit. The 4 stars are for our great waiter.

This place is going down the tubes. There were 8 people standing around. We have been in here for over a 1/2 hour. Only, have had one drink, Place is not even busy, they never asked if they could refill our chips and salsa and never bought us a menu until we asked. Verr disappointed in this place, and we've been here many times. When we asked for things it felt like they were being put out.... Management needs to step in and figure this out. So disappointed, as this use to be one o our favorite places to go! We will have to check out the north one to see if it's any better.

The food and service were great. The alambras al pastor and chicken burrito were very good. Lastly, the margaritas were outstanding.

Mostly I just feel ripped off. Stopped by to grab chips and salsa and was charged over $10 for a "large salsa" Even the large queso is only $8. I could justify it if it was an actual large amount of salsa, but it's not. I'm not sure if they ran out of the large containers or what because they included a smaller container that also has salsa in it. The last time we ate inside it wasn't that great either. Both poor experiences were at the north location. Every time we went to the location by the airport it was always good.

Our party of 8 visited on 8/21. We came based on great reviews and were not disappointed!! I don't remember our server's name, but he was the ULTIMATE professional. One of the best I've ever had. He would remember us for an awkward conversation about pepper infused tequila that he handled like a PRO. We had a high maintenance birthday gal and not only did he roll with everything, he left us all talking about how amazing he was. If possible, the food was even better than the service! We might come back to Rochester just to eat here. Thank you for a great experience!!

Ordered cheese enchiladas and it was made with white cheese whiz, not actual cheese. Rice was dry, tasted like a frozen dinner. Margaritas were good, but over priced at $16 a piece.

Fast food service. Price was reasonable but sub charge everything. Wanted a little extra onion but would have costed $2 extra for it.

food is always good, as well as service. I asked for my bar pour whiskey with soda in a tall glass. I do this often when I order a cocktail out for dinner. they added 2$ on to my drink, for more ice, and about 2ounces of club soda. Turned me off

The service was great! We liked our margaritas. I would say the food was good but not top of any of our lists. I also would like to see more vegetarian food that includes bean burritos or with cheese - some kind of protein! It did have a good variety though! Busy place and we got seated fairly quickly. The restaurant had a nice interior as well.

The Steak & Chicken Fajita Parmigiana was amazing. Share it with someone special. On my 3rd meal from the leftovers.

I used to visit this establishment regularly before it underwent a change. Whenever I fly to or from Rochester, it is my preferred spot for drinks and a quick meal before or after a flight. I particularly appreciate their really cold beer, which is one of the highlights for me. I do feel nostalgic about the old restaurant and the conversations I had with the friendly bartenders. The Mexican place, however, can be inconsistent with its service. It doesn't quite compare to the old establishment.

The food and service was good. My only issue was with menu I had. On each page was small specels of food. It's kind of gross, actually.

Okay Mexican food. I've definitely had better, but the service was good and my carnitas were okay. Food portions are enormous, 1 meal can feed 2 adults. Liked my margarita a lot.

My gosh this place is yummy! Is right by the Rochester airport (there may be other locations too) and I highly recommend them if you're in the mood for Mexican. Everything was fantastic from the service (they worked as a team) to the chips & salsa, entrees and margaritas. Prices were very reasonable too. Definitely stopping again while we're in town.

Los Arcos is good straightforward Mexican food. The enchiladas are delicious, and I highly recommend their beef tacos. The crazy chicken is also a great dish and quite flavorful. Great chips and salsa. The service is decent, although if they are crowded you may have to wait a little while for your food.

Talk about a great place to go!! We first came here when they opened and have been coming back ever since. I have seen a couple reviews that state "it's very/super expensive". However, compared to other restaurants of this type and their prices, the burritos are $2-3 more than the competition, but the quality of the food is well above!! I will say though, that this is a place that you must eat at. When restaurants were restricted to carry out only, we did try and was rather disappointed. BUT, now that you can dine in again, the food is once again excellent. Tonight was a great night to go. We've never had any issues prior to this evening and the staff is always on top of things. Tonight, it was the busiest we'd seen in since 2019, which is excellent for their business. However, the wait was 45-60 mins (which was worth the wait) and after we finally sat down, we were given the "bad news". Our waiter said that they had been super busy since around 12-1pm that afternoon (current time 8:30pm). Due to the craziness of they day, they had no more chips. They had run out and were only able to make a certain amount more because they also had to catch up on rice, beans, and meat. So, the kitchen staff was on overload. But, much to our surprise, they did bring a half basket of chips and apologized. Our drink and main courses were really fast and the staff was amazing as usual. Typically, with all the hiccups from the experience, this would be a 3-4 star review. However, the communication from the staff on what was happening as well as the fact that they continued to go above and beyond for the consumer, as well as being able to keep up with massive amounts of orders even though they were in short supply; spoke volumes about how the business is being run. It was a great night and we continue to love Los Arcos.

When we arrived, we were given a pager and told it would be 30-40 minute wait. We had a space near the entrance and I was in awe of how the greeters kept moving people through. So we waited, and waited. Eventually I noticed that the group of people waiting had shrunk to nearly nothing. Another group asked how much longer the wait would be, and we joined in in asking. Neither of us were on the list. I remember them writing our name on a list but somehow we got erased. I'm willing to guess it was another party who turned in their pager and said they wouldn't wait, but somehow it was us that got erased off the list. No longer in awe of the greeters. We were there and visible--common sense dictates that staff would follow up with us before we followed up with them. That's what customer service is all about, right? Anyway, the other party suggested free beer for the wait--and I tend to agree. Something should have been comped. The food was good, the margarita was absolutely necessary but the customer service was a huge fail and I will not be returning.

After having a rude waitress and mediocre food I believe that this place deserves the one star review. While the food came out very quick, it was bland and had a weird taste. Our waitress did not pay attention and we ended up waiting for our check for way longer than necessary. She refused to put our drinks on Happy Hour even though we ordered way before 6pm. After speaking with other members of the staff, she came over and refused to explain why our margaritas were $15.50 rather than $5.50. When we asked for blended they gave us on the rocks. They didn't even give us the right flavor. The least they could do was honor the signs they post all around the restaurant. I really despise places that broadcast their Happy Hour but refuse to follow it. I don't normally write reviews but after the experience here I want people to know what they are getting themselves into.

Went there for dinner last night. It was very noisy there! They need to install some sound blocking. Ordered their house margarita. THERE IS NO DRINK PRICES! Food was good, got the bill and found out how much they're raping me on my drink. Margarita $15.50 for a standard size!

Honestly, horrendous experience. Past experiences weren't so bad, but today was unacceptable. Placed an order to go because I knew it would be crazy on Cinco de Mayo, was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. Got there 30-35 minutes after that. Was told the order would be out in a minute. 20 minutes later they finally brought it out and admitted there was a "miscommunication" and they never actually made the order. When I asked if there was something they could do for the mistake/trouble (like a small dessert or chips and salsa) I was told that I could get a refund of my order. And obviously they did not mean a meal on the house (they kept the food). OUTRAGEOUS. Not worth it. If you want actually good Mexican, check out Los Compadres.

Service is great and the food is very good. The black bean dip they give with chips is the best I have ever had. Also margarita was superb !

Best Mexican food I've had. Ever. And I'm from Texas. We stopped randomly on the way to a wedding and it was awesome. Really friendly service, meals came out in a decent amount of time, and the atmosphere was so inviting. We had my dog with us, so we ate outside and they were really on making sure we were enjoying ourselves. It was supposed to be a quick dinner break, but we ended up staying for like 2 hours just to enjoy the food and ambience.

Outstanding service, excellent quality in each menu options. Very authentic Mexican cuisine, taste, and service. Excellent value, portions, and price.

Food is great and first time I had any issue.Margaritas advertised as 5.25 so I said we want three of the specials.He pointed at this little card on the table.We ordered flavors from the top section.He did not say those are $10 more or we would not have ordered that.We got charged $15 per drink.It does not say that on the table cards either.You need to put that on the card and train the staff to tell people this.Seemed like an upcharge scam.

Looking at this place you wouldn't think it was authentic. The inside could use a lot of work but the food is very very good. You get chips, salsa and beans which are all so good. The portions are huge and my seafood chimichanga was filled with seafood and a lot of steak in the enchilada - not sure how they make money. Would totally recommend.

Great food (especially the shrimp cocktail) and great margaritas!! They serve the chips with both bean dip and salsa. We've typically gone @ 3PM. Surprisingly busy even at that time.

Just had what has to be our 20th or more visit to Los Arcos tonight and as usual they do not disappoint. Free chips, salsa, and black bean dip shows up after you sit down, and their menu is huge. Everything we've had is delicious, even if we order it to go. From the Chipotle Chicken to the Chile Colorado, or any of their burritos, fish tacos, crazy chicken, fajitas, appetizers, its all delicious, and we always take some of it home in a box because the portions are generous. So is the staff. Thank you Los Arcos for being one of our favorite spots in Rochester! We love both locations, too.

See attached picture. I like the food but I'm so mad about their $5 small queso and $5 small guacamole. It's like, bro, what an absolute sham. Ruined my experience, felt ripped off.

We were excited to hear about a new Mexican restaurant, and that it had decent reviews. Let's talk about the location vs quality of the food - I don't think it's worth the drive if you're not already down south. The quality of the food was about a 3.5 stars, which is what I would have given them had I been able to give half stars. Maybe if it was a 5 min drive, it would be more worth it The price vs the quality - we got 3 enchiladas and rice combo for ~$12 and steak/chicken/shrimp fajitas that came with rice/beans for ~$19. Kind of standard pricing so the price is fair, but the quality didn't match. 1) there was more chicken in the fajitas than steak or shrimp 2) the shrimp and chicken were both overcooked 3) the steak was good though, but in most places steak is the safest bet. 4) I'm almost certain they use box rice 5) the cheese on the enchiladas was very strange - sliced cheese? really? 6) I wasn't a fan of their corn tortilla, I didn't really care for the texture 7) their poblano creamy sauce was good, kind of like a thicker tomatillo sauce Ultimately, I didn't want to give them a 3, but I didn't think they were 4 stars. So until some things change, I'm giving them 3 stars...since they were just okay. I would like to try more dishes from here, but it really is out of the way for those of us who live up north. Don't get me wrong, I will drive for food, but it has to be drive worthy. For another 15-20 mins I might as well drive to Austin for some really good food. I'll have to think about it if I do go back. It was worth a try though, but my thoughts were really that it was just average. Some things are probably better than others, but I've had better.

Very good food, they skimp on the salsa. They charged me $1.95 for about a 2 oz plastic cup.

This is not up to the standard set by Mexican restaurants in the Western states. Stuff had weird ingredients that I have never seen in Mexican food before like peas, carrots, and mushrooms. Some things were soggy and the tamal was overly bready and dry. The ingredients didn't seem very good quality. The cheese seemed fake and there was too much of it. Overall it was disappointing and just not that good. The order was also ready 20 minutes later than the estimated time.

This place is fantastic! Park yourself at the bar and let the bartender keep feeding you fruit infused tequila shots and live your best life. This place was super busy on a Friday night but there was a spot a open at the bar, and it turned out to be the perfect spot for the two of us. The wait staff was super awesome and suggested a perfect dish for me and kept giving me shots of tequila...I want to marry him.

The service was excellent. I loved the vegetarian burrito. It was filled with rice, corn, black beans, onions, green pepper, cilantro, and cactus. The chips were served with salsa & refried black beans. I wish more places had refried black beans. The burrito was large for only $10. It was very filling!

Not a good experience this time ! Good was all wrong and was never asked how things were to get them changed ! Tacos were soggy meat tasted bad ! Asked for hard shell got soft ! Just not a good!

We asked what the best place in town was and you did not disappoint!!! The food was absolutely amazing and tasted so good!! We definitely had leftovers!

Loved the atmosphere, chips n salsa and we had the fajitas. All we can say is WOW! The server was awesome and the amount they give you for your money. Incredible! Chicken and steak fajitas if you're a party of 3! Umm plenty --Even with our party of 2 it was plenty. Left overs abound

Wow! What a delightful restaurant. We stopped in for lunch - had the Crazy Chicken and a margarita. Both were outstanding. There's a nice outdoor seating area and it was really great.
