Los Consentidos del Barrio is hands down one of the best spots for tacos al carbón in Mexico City. The absolute must-order is the Quesadilla Especial con doble ración de costilla — meat cooked over charcoal, stuffed into pita bread with manchego cheese, then grilled until perfectly crisp. It’s bold, smoky, cheesy, and honestly spectacular.
Their salsas are excellent: red, green, pickled onions, plus the Salsa Especial, which mixes everything together and takes it to another level. Great service, consistently high quality, and a true reference point for tacos al carbón done right. An absolute favourite.
