Ambiance: 4 - Made a reservation on Valentine's day and the first thing the host said to us was that we have 1hr and 15mins. The main room was so noisy but we thankfully got seated in the back room. Cute homey feel inside Service: 4 - Attentive and friendly staffs Food: 3 - Maybe my expectations were high but it fell short. Don't get me wrong, the Hush Puppies were scrumptious! Crunchy exterior with grittiness of the corn meal - sauce on the bottom and some sort of butter? Yes, please. The Short Rib Bites were also tender but it was too little. 😬 The Fried Chicken Sando was where it fell short. We got cut in half and I somehow ended up with all of the breading, which wasn't crispy one bit and just sloppy Drink: 4.5 - Would come back to try other drinks once the menu is rotated Would I come back? It wouldn't be my first option but maybe for the drinks. ;)

Pros: clean, spacious and calming decor, outdoor seating Cons: very slow service with mistakes and constantly forgetting about our orders while it was a weekday lunch and our group was small (4). Steak was burnt and tough! Butternut squash soup was too sweet.

Good food and better cocktails. Outdoor seating during the summer is best. Great for dates and groups. Everything we tried here tasted good. To share we had the burrata with toasted almonds 7/10, brussel sprouts 9/10 and I ordered the roast with mashed potatoes 8/10.

Seemed like a lovely place, even though the menu was limited because it was the weekend? Our server was an absolutely lovely young man. I got an entre salad with shrimp and my partner got the brunch burger. The food came out stripped bare. The burger was just a burger. No fries, no extra except one pickle. For $20 dollars ffs! My salad was the size of a regular side salad. The shrimp didn't come. My drink didn't come. This was $17 dollars excluding the shrimp. WTactualF?! Give this restaurant a pass. We had to go get other food afterwards!

Google
Lovely historic location with the atmosphere of an old English club (but California style, if that makes sense!). My parents brought my husband and me here for a light lunch. They shared a hamburger, and we shared the Brussels sprouts. I typically won't eat Brussels sprouts, but these were yummy. Our server cheerfully managed adjustments to the burger order and a hunt for a stout beer for my husband (in June).

Our first time at Parkside, so I had to write a review. One of our friends recommended this place and I have to say that it was a pleasant experience. First of all, their drinks are pretty amazing. I really liked mine I ordered the Love Spell which was very refreshing, my fiancé had the Luchador, which was pretty delicious as well, it’s made with Mezcal so it has a smoky taste, but it was also spicy so if you can handle spice get this drink. We ordered the glazed short ribs which were delicious in addition to that we had the brussels sprouts and the macaroni and cheese. We shared all these three items plenty of food for two people. In addition, for dessert we had the cookies with ice cream. The service was amazing from the hostess to the waitress, super friendly and attentive. On our way out we shared one last drink at the bar! We are coming back here again for the glazed short ribs and drinks. Cheers!

Just discovered this awesome new spot in Los Gatos. Made a reservation for Sunday night and requested a table by the window. Was pleasantly surprised to find that they actually reserved the window table for us. Overall, the experience was fantastic! The food was absolutely amazing. Started off with some devil eggs and bruschetta for appetizers. Then I went for the short ribs, while my boyfriend opted for the classic burger. Everything was incredibly delicious. The only hiccup was our server, who seemed a bit lost. He wasn't very attentive and seemed to breeze by our table without so much as a glance or inquiry about our needs. Also, he forgot to remove an item from our check that we didn't end up getting because it was out of stock. A big shoutout to Jose, though, who was constantly clearing our table and was super friendly and kind. Honestly, I wish he had been our server instead of the other guy.

Everything we tried here tasted amazing. The burrata with toasted almonds is a must try along with the Bruschetta! Brussels sprouts were bit overdone but delicious too.

Yelp
The service is excellent at this popular restaurant across the street from the Town Plaza Park. Stopped by for lunch and had a stellar meaty cup of chili and a sandwich. Tasty! I also had a non-stellar cup of lukewarm coffee. Skip the coffee or, better yet, get a cup of coffee a block or less away. Ambiance is not upscale, but better than any diner. Try the outside seating.

Yelp
Great brunch spot that's outdoor/ pet friendly! We ordered the chorizo tostadas and short rib hash that were packed with flavor and delicious sauces. I would come back to try different items on the menu. Great spot to walk off the meal around downtown with many shops.

Yelp
Belated galentines brunch. Parking was a nightmare on Saturday morning, but we all made it within the first 15 minutes of our reservation time of 11:30am. Easy reservation over OpenTable. We wanted to do petroglyphs and there weren't really good options for food in willow glen. I saw parkside had reservations available and although the parking situation was difficult otherwise we don't regret coming here. Everyone finished their food except for me. I got the short rib hash. Really soft and well done. Sad that they have to charge $2 premium for eggs but do understand the bird flu limitations. Server was really friendly and accommodating. Would definitely be back with a large group if needed since many other brunch places don't take reservations!

Yelp
We came here for happy hour this afternoon and had a really nice meal with a lot of variety of different dishes, as well as a couple of cocktails which were also good. The service was attentive and struck a great balance between attentive and casual/friendly. Our main server Naomi introduced herself and checked in the right amount as well as gave us warning that last call for happy hour would be coming up. Every other person we encountered that works there was also very friendly and did a great job. It was surprisingly full for 4pm on a Thursday, which was nice to see. We had the crab cake, which was good, but we felt didn't really need to be battered and deep fried, but there was clearly crab meat inside. Just a personal choice. The short rib tacos were tasty, fried chicken slider delicious, as were the Italian meatballs and roasted cauliflower. The fries were also fine, but not anything particularly special. For cocktails, we had the Solstice, which was a nice refined vodka based drink with some subtle flavors, and a margarita, which was pretty typical but good. One of the workers ribbed us a little because a lot of the salt on the rim had dried up and fallen down in front of my place setting. We enjoyed the kidding around and no one taking anything too seriously- just a nice place to eat some good food and relax and have a great time. We'd definitely come back again.

Yelp
IMHO First things first. If you want to dine here, make a reservation! This place is popular! Even though we were the second people to enter at 11:30, we were told all tables were reserved but we could sit at the bar or a high table. Thankfully the hostess said if we could be done by 1:15, she could find a place for us! Thank you! (We were done by 12:35!) Dylan was our amiable server, who remembered me from my last visit, 9 months ago! My friends ordered the Mushroom Ravioli, $26, and the Shrimp Scampi, $24. They liked their entrees but thought they were a tad too salty. My friend's Shrimp Scampi portion also looked rather small. (She ended up buying some chicken tenders on the way home because she was still hungry.) I ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich, $14 and added fries, $4. Sadly, my sandwich needed a flavor punch and I should've asked for salt. I left half my sandwich and fries to bring home, but when I got my leftovers, my fries were not included. I should've said something, but it was so busy, I just let it go. Table service was epic as usual from everyone. Parkside's staff are the stars of the show. Yes, I will definitely return.

Yelp
Unfortunately was not able to grab any pictures, but this is BY FAR my favorite new spot in downtown LG! I came with some family for happy hour and dinner- their happy hour menu is reasonably priced and the bites are good- I had the bruschetta which was great, and the Italian meatballs. My favorite thing was the ambience- it felt upscale yet homey- I can't wait to come back next time I'm in town!

Yelp
Dark Side The brainchild of local restaurateur Darren Matte, who's other projects include Danville Harvest and SF's Per Diem, Parkside is looking to bring fresh, local farm-to-table dining to Downtown Los Gatos. Housed in the former Le Boulanger (RiP), Parkside's décor is classy and elegant, and has a decidedly New American menu with a little Italian thrown in for flair. The Good: *Reservations thru OpenTable *Very romantic ambiance and would be a terrific place for a date night. *Happy Hour Seven Days a week (3 p.m. - 5 p.m.) *Outdoor parklet dining with heaters *Reasonable amount of gluten-free food on the menu that's *Service by Lexi was outstanding. She was fast, efficient, and personable. The staff as a whole was really good. Not Michelin good, but better than your average restaurant. *I enjoyed the seasonal butternut squash soup, and if you want to share a bowl they can split one serving into two bowls. *Great Bar scene *Carissa raved about her Horseradish Salmon--and she doesn't even like horseradish! But the fish was cooked well and the horseradish flavor was pleasant and not overwhelming. *I enjoyed my fried chicken, despite the white meat being slightly overcooked. The skin/crust was crispy and full of flavor, and the concomitant mashed potatoes & gravy were a reminder of Turkey Day to come... The Meh: *Street Parking in DTLG can be a hassle Fri-Sun, but the rest of the week you should be pretty good to go. There are some lots nearby, as well, but make sure to read the signage. *"Substitution politely declined," per the menu. Make of that what you will, I'm not really a substitution kinda guy but if you are you're SoL. *They *seem* to have a decent selection of vegetarian/vegan items but, unlike the gluten-free items, they're not clearly denoted with a "V" or something. The Ugly: *Credit card needed to secure the cancelation as there's $25/per person cancelation charge on reservations if not canceled within 24hrs. Conclusion: Great date night spot with fantastic service. The food was also quite good, as we're a tough crowd to feed, but it wasn't great--altho there's lots of potential. So in the meantime Los Gatos Parkside scores a solid 4.5*, but it's still highly recommended.

Yelp
We enjoyed our visit here. It seems that despite empty tables during the early evening, the place is usually packed around 7pm due to reservations. We got seated with a note that we would have around an hour and a half to dine before a 7pm reservation came in. Sure, we said okay. We got seated at a table soon after and waited for a few minutes before a server came to take our orders. We enjoyed the following: Horseradish Crusted Salmon and the Short Rib. I liked how unique the horseradish mashed potatoes were. It was infused with flavor without being overwhelming or unappetizing. The broccolini was a little tough but provided a good contrast from the crusted salmon and potatoes. The crust of the salmon was nice and crispy, and they provided a tender piece of fish. The short rib was super tender and flavorful. Noodles were cooked perfectly, and the spinach with onion ring provided a nice touch.

Yelp
An absolutely amazing dinner experience right by the park (hence parkside). We opted for an outside table since the weather was nice and they have heat lamps. The interior was also very beautiful but a little loud. We ordered a bunch of tapas/starters as they looked more appealing. We had the following - Ahi tuna poke (9/10) - Crab cakes (7/10) - a little too bready, but still delicious and it came with a very tasty side salad - Roasted cauliflower (8/10) - a delicious combo of cauliflower, pine nuts, garlic and lemon - Avocado Bruschetta (10/10) - an explosion of flavors! - Grilled octopus from the specials menu (10/10), some of the best octopus i have had, not chewy, not smelly, and a very delicious sauce paired with it - Peach crostata for dessert (7/10) - warm and tangy, but too much caramel sauce topping for my liking, but the warm dessert was great The service was very friendly and they suggested great options to us. We also asked for a high chair for our kid and they brought out a coloring activity page and crayons etc for her too. The place was very kid friendly despite being upscale. There is parking nearby next to the park and we easily found a spot on a Friday evening. I'll definitely be returning to try the other items in the menu soon!

Yelp
This is a GREAT neighborhood hang and what a perfect location for a happening place like this!! We had our waitress last time and she's great! I love the vibes and food!! Scallop risotto is spot on and so is my fisherman's stew!!

Lisa Y.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with a group, and they were able to set up a table for us in one of the side rooms. We started off with a few appetizers. The crab cakes were good! An order comes with three pieces, along with a side salad topped with mango, corn, and red onion-cilantro salsa. I enjoyed the Hushpuppies as well! The Shrimp Lettuce Wraps were not bad, but I'd go for the other two shared plates first. For the entrees I tried both the Horseradish Crusted Salmon and the Pan Seared Scallops. I really enjoyed the Salmon dish! I was worried the horseradish crust would be too strong, but it wasn't at all! The salmon itself was tender and moist. The basil infused potato puree was so yummy too! It was served with asparagus. The Pan Seared Scallops were overcooked, but the purple potatoes were really good! It was served with a green pea coulis, sauteed snap peas, artichokes, rainbow carrots, and a black garlic sauce. For dessert, we got the beignets and bread pudding--a great way to end the meal!

Yelp
Lexie was our server and she was the absolute best! She had the most patience with a group of 14 complicated girls and still managed to accommodate everyone professionally. She was friendly and made it easy for us to separate our tabs. Food was delicious and she made great suggestions. Restaurant had a nicely aesthetically pleasing vibe. Will definitely be back! Thank you Lexie!

Rich N.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, crispy chicken! The place looks nice and clean. The chicken is crunchy but a little dry without sauce.

Yelp
Had lunch here recently as a work colleague wanted to meet up here. Parking was not a problem and I was able to find my friend seated way in the back of the restaurant. We had the short rib bites appetizer, which had a nice presentation and was very tender. It just needed a bit more seasoning. Friend had the mushroom ravioli. It looked decent, but my friend had no comments on it and we were busy talking so I can't really judge that one. I had the Chinese chicken salad. It was OK, but lacking in a couple ways. They have about 5 different salads on the menu, most of which are vegetarian to start. They then have notes where you can add proteins for extra charges. So on my salad, which was supposed to include chicken in the base configuration, it came as if it was made without chicken and then two sliced fanned out pieces of chicken were added on the side. Every other place I've had a Chinese chicken salad, the chicken is bite size and tossed with the salad, and also includes a crunch element. The tossed chicken and crunch were missing here.

Yelp
Great drinks and dinner options. Try the custom Manhattans for a great take on a classic drink.

Anna M.

Yelp
Came here for a girls night and had a great time! We had reservations at 8pm on a Saturday and it was a packed restaurant. Our server, Chandra, was fabulous and gave us some great recommendations! For the drinks- if you are a tequila lover get the love spell, it has a great presentation and is delicious! The other drink we loved was the "stuck in thyme"! For the food- order the cauliflower for an appetizer, we all agreed it was the best cauliflower we've ever had (and I don't even like cauliflower!). The other appetizers were also fabulous, the hush puppies were another must-order. For the mains, you can't go wrong! Had a great experience here, can't wait to come back!

Jonathan B.

Yelp
Unremarkable brunch at LG prices. Avocado toast with two poached eggs added: too much lemon, couldn't taste the avocado. Breakfast skillet: too much cheese and very little bacon. Not very flavorful. Banana bread: best thing we had but hard to justify going just for this. I ordered iced coffee with "a touch of half and half." The resulting drink was completely white. The servers were nice and well trained. A little cramped inside but pleasant to sit outside.

Marlee B.

Yelp
First time here and we can't wait to return. The dining room was cozy but a bit loud, service was accommodating. The food is the star. We had the poke appetizer, steak frites, pumpkin risotto, and shrimp appetizer. All excellent. So happy with our experience at Parkside Lis Gatos.

Sharon H.

Yelp
Beautiful modern decor, excellent service, delicious food! As soon as I walked in and saw the classy bar and elegant booths, I knew I would love it! So many things on the menu that we wanted to try. My husband was happy to find his find his favorite beer here- Blind Pig IPA. I opted out of getting my usual glass of wine since they were mostly $20+/glass Shared plates: We had the Dungeness Crab Cakes- came with 3 small crab cakes and a side salad. Personally I dont like to eat too much fried batter, so the fact that they came small made the fried crust to actual crab filling ratio a bit too high for me, but it was tasty for sure. Salads: Ordered the Dino Kale which had a nice variety of colors/textures - we basically fought over the fresh made polenta croutons on it! Plates: Pumpkin Risotto-- just looved the presentation of this dish with an actual small pumpkin that was stuffed with creamy risotto. I like having an interactive dish, so getting to scoop more fresh pumpkin out was fun. The risotto was just perfectly creamy and pumpkin-y. Liked the side of brussel sprouts leaves that this came with as well. Chef's special: My husband had the Octopus which was one large juicy tentacle. The saffron aioli sauce and warm salad it came on top of us made it a very hearty dish. Kids menu: I always appreciate when a 'nice' restaurant has a kids' menu and crayons for the kiddos. There were typical kid options like tenders, burgers, and mac and cheese. The steak and fries option on the kids menu was definitely a great deal. Server was super sweet and attentive.

Lynette H.

Yelp
I had an event in the patio on a Friday night. Everything was perfect...the food was yummy and beautifully displayed. Adam, the GM was easy to work with and very responsive to my requests. He made it easy! I highly recommend the patio as it was cozy and set up to perfection, with fun lighting. We had a perfect evening.

Kelly K.

Yelp
My friend and I visited for our first time last night for dinner. We were shocked by how busy it was for a Tuesday night! We had a reservation, so we were immediately seated at a table in the back room. My first impression was the decor was classy and the ambiance a vibrant upscale casual. I had a really hard time deciding on an entree (will need to return!) but opted for the steak frites. The steak was cooked perfectly to order, the chimichurri was flavorful, the fries were nice and crispy, and I enjoyed the little tomato salad side. The NA aperol spritz tasted just like the real thing and was beautifully presented with a flower in the glass. If I have a minor complaint it was that it was quite loud and the table next to us was very close to the point we could hear their entire conversation. However, it was nice to see a business seemingly doing so well. The service was impeccable despite it being a full house. A new favorite!

Peggy C.

Yelp
This was our first visit. We had brunch on Sunday and it was delicious and beautifully presented. A good thing the four of us had reservations and car pooled since there was a Farmer's Market going on and parking was tight. The ambiance was classy and well lit with plenty of windows and cozy booths as well as tables. The servers were attentive and pleasant. We plan to make lunch reservations for six in one of their nice dining areas next month. So glad we discovered this restaurant and that it is open for lunches on Tuesdays! Might be noisy in the bar.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
We absolutely loved our experience here. We happened to come in between lunch and dinner so it was happy hour only but that worked out fine for us as we like to try several small plates. We had the crab cakes, deviled eggs, fried chicken slider, ahi tostada and the meatballs and we enjoyed all of them. We also had the margarita which tasted great, not too sweet and used fresh lime. Every one of the staff we encountered were super friendly and great with our kiddos. We live about an hour away but we will definitely be returning, hopefully sooner than later!

Steph C.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our meal here. Made a Saturday evening reservation for 4 at around 5:30 and were seated immediately. Stylish, comfortable restaurant but on the louder side--though maybe because we were seated next to a large party of 10. Lots of good options on the menu. Kids had burgers and fries--fries were really good. Husband and I shared the crab cakes which were amazing, ahi tuna poke , as well as the scallops. Everything was so delicious. Was worried the scallops may be overcooked as other reviews had mentioned, but ours were cooked well and very flavorful. Dessert involved hot chocolate chip cookies with a scoop of gelato--good but since there are 2 cookies, would've been nice to have 2 scoops of gelato or at least one larger scoop. I had the beignets which were so good--pillowy beignets filled with Nutella and a yummy dipping sauce. Would definitely be back!!!

Denise L.

Yelp
A nice addition to downtown Los Gatos! Came for lunch shortly after they opened on a Monday with a friend. We were seated in the back, but I felt a very cold draft coming from the open door to the patio area. I felt bad to ask for them to close it as they had diners outside, but someone finally closed it and I was relieved! We were greeted promptly, but then it took forever for our server to come back to take our order. Maybe it seemed forever because we were hangry, but it was a good 15 or so minutes. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with a side of truffle fries, friend ordered the cashew chicken salad. We got our food shortly after and I asked for a side of ranch to dip the fries in. The sandwich was much better than I had expected after reading some of the reviews, but it was a very oily sandwich as it was buttered and grilled. Plus the fat of the bacon, mayo and avocado, but all really good! The truffle fries were also quite oily, but also from the truffle oil. Liked the addition of the large shavings of cheese on top. Overall it was a really good entree. My friend also really liked her chicken salad. However, our server was not very attentive to us, so lack of a perfect rating. Also, when we got our bill, they charged $1 for the little side of ranch. Was quite surprised, but also not. Would be back in the future, seems like people really liked their pasta dishes which I was curious about as well!

Shayna O.

Yelp
I've been excited to try this restaurant and I was sadly disappointed. I will say the staff was excellent and friendly and the environment is nice. The food was so disappointing. We got the deviled eggs, they ok but flavorless. My daughter ordered the salmon and pulled off a huge hair!! The staff was very attentive to that and immediately brought her another plate, and they were very apologetic. I ordered the scallops, they were gritty and rubbery from being over cooked. The risotto was cooked properly but there was an herb seasoning on it that made it taste really bad. We love the atmosphere but for the cost and all the options we have in downtown Los Gatos, I probably won't go back!

Kevin L.

Yelp
Wife and I were in town to pick up some banana bread from a bakery nearby, and the hunger struck us right at 11:30am! Was able to walk in and grab two seats at the bar. Enjoyed a full service meal, along with an Irish coffee and a mocktail. The crab was on special in different varieties, and it did not disappoint. Have y'all ever had crab on a brioche hot dog bun?!? Delicious. All in all - good experience, just a bit pricey.

Paul T.

Yelp
Really enjoyed it here. I had the fisherman's stew which was fantastic. And my family had the steak frites, and ravioli and all were exceptional. Also a very nice atmosphere and service. Will definitely return

Phong T.

Yelp
I was super excited to try Parkside in Los Gatos per recommendations from a few friends and fellow Yelp friends' reviews. It did NOT disappoint! Parkside serves up new American gastropub-type food, but elevated. RESERVATION It's always a fun time to check out new restaurants with friends along with my SO. I booked a table for four on a Sunday around 8 PM. Upon arrival, I checked in with the hostess, who was very pleasant and welcoming. She informed me the table was being set. It was ready within 5 minutes, and my party was seated. SERVICE We had two waiters, and they were attentive and excellent. They were both helpful in recommending items off the menu and had a good personality. FOOD & DRINK * All of the cocktails were delicious and presented well. I forgot to snap photos. * Parkside Burger x2 - The burger was cooked to the asking doneness temperature. Spot on. The burger was delicious and seasoned well. You can't go wrong with truffle aioli spread on the buns. The fries were amazing! * Mary's Fried Chicken x2 - I ordered this lovely entree. It was served with mashed potatoes and green beans. The batter on the chicken was light and crispy. The chicken was tender and seasoned well -- most likely brined. For some, it may be on the saltier side, but I believe it was meant to be paired with the mash and green beans since the sides weren't too seasoned. I enjoyed this entree. * Pumpkin Bread Pudding - We all shared this dessert. It was heaven. The pumpkin bread itself was fluffy and oh-so-soft. The bread was paired with a caramel gelato and delicious pecan praline. It was the perfect ending to our meal. I can NOT wait to return to Parkside and enjoy another meal. See you soon!!

Shari E.

Yelp
This was my first experience with Parkside, but definitely won't be my last. Our server Larry was exceptional, friendly, and full of wonderful suggestions like the short rib bites, mushroom raviolis, and bread pudding. The restaurant was busy on a holiday Monday for lunch, but you didn't sense that. Once seated, Larry gave us ideas, and the afternoon just flowed with one great dish after another, as he consistently checked back with us to see if there was anything we needed, and if we enjoyed his ideas. Truly a team effort , as everyone is on their game, from the host seating us, servers filling your water, clearing dishes, checking on your needs. Seating was comfortable, and not feeling like you're sitting on top of the next table, with outdoor seating that looked pretty cozy too!

Yelp
I did not like this place when it originally opened but my friend convinced me to come back. Wow, they really improved over the past few months. I went during happy hour and is pleasantly surprised by their flavorful snacks and cocktails. Service was excellent and the ambiance is exquisite. I got caught up in the moment and didn't catch enough pictures but will try to get more next time.

Bruce L.

Yelp
This has become our new favorite place for Happy Hour! We love love the drinks, service and food here. She gets the lettuce wraps and a cocktail, I get the burger and fries (to share of course) along with a cocktail and the TACOS!!!!! These tacos are absolutely sublime. The meat is so da** good! The burger is so juicy and full of flavor. The cheese melts so good!!!!! He wraps are really good to snack on. They are a healthy option for sure, but still pack a whallop with flavor. The drinks are also really really good! The service from start to finish is always top tier. The hosts give you options and walk you over to your table. The servers are always very attentive and friendly. Overall; we will be back!!! This has become our once a week stop for sure. Thank you Parkside!

Yelp
Stopped by for Sunday brunch. It's very nice inside and feels sophisticated. Sat at the bar and was helped right away with water and other drinks. I had the Espresso Yourself and it was delicious, not too sweet. To eat I had the classic breakfast plate. I don't wanna know how much butter they used in those hash browns but I am here for it. Chicken sausage was very good as well. Overall would return. It's in such a cute area as well!

Yelp
The following Sunday, we returned for dinner, but unfortunately, the service was exceptionally slow. Despite waiting at least 8-10 minutes, I had to flag down the hostess to locate our server. It was evident that he had seen me as he attended to neighboring tables. When he finally approached our table, his demeanor lacked warmth, devoid of a genuine greeting or smile, as if we were an inconvenience. I typically refrain from commenting on subpar service out of sympathy for the hard work involved, having been in similar shoes during my college years, so I won't mention any names. However, the experience was disappointing. Furthermore, when our food arrived, the pork chops I had requested to be cooked medium were served well-done and lacked flavor. I decided to bring home most of the meal, anticipating it would improve in taste the following day, but unfortunately, that wasn't the outcome. The pork chop didn't meet the standards of cuts I've had at places like Nopa in SF or The Hero Ranch in Saratoga. Nevertheless, I acknowledge that you generally get what you pay for in terms of quality, as LG Parkside is well priced for casual dining. Given these factors, I believe it's best to take a break before considering another visit, especially with plenty of other good dining options available in LG and neighboring vicinities.

Yelp
I truly enjoyed my dining at Parkside and can't wait to go back. Our server was Lexi and she was amazing. The customer service here is top notch and attention to detail is great. Our food was also so delicious. I recommend the appetizers and their filet mignon. The restaurant is also very clean and incredibly cute.

Yelp
I hosted my sales team holiday luncheon today at Parkside, and everything was amazing. The general manager Adam set the expectations and exceeded them. Food and service was spot on, even with a busy restaurant our server Dillon took great care of us. It was the first time for many of my staff and they all left impressed! Appreciate such great service from a local restaurant.

Yelp
Parkside Restaurant in Los Gatos was such a lovely experience. We sat at the bar, and it was wonderfully easy to get a seat. The waiter was absolutely charming and made us feel right at home. The steak wrap was generously filled with perfectly cooked steak, a real treat. Our food arrived in no time at all, which was a lovely surprise. The atmosphere was perfect for a casual yet enjoyable catch-up with friends. It's just one of those places that hits the mark on all fronts--great food, attentive service, and an overall relaxed vibe. Highly recommend!

Yelp
A great addition to downtown Los Gatos! I had made a dinner reservation the day before, and could only secure an 8:30 time slot. We arrived a little early and were seated right away, at a comfortable booth near the entrance. I liked the ambiance and decor - well designed without being overly trendy. I also noticed that the crowd skewed a little bit older. The drink menu featured 5 different mocktails, which was exciting to see. I chose the Refresher and my friends got the Apple a Day and Ginger Berry. All three were delicious and reasonably priced ($8). For starters, we ordered the Hushpuppies and Crab Cakes. Both were tasty and good for sharing, but the Hushpuppies were easily the winner. The maple sriracha butter they came with was fantastic, and the texture was just perfect. For entrees, we ordered 3 plates to share, so we could try a bit of everything. The Wild Mushroom Ravioli was my favorite - perfectly cooked pasta, incredible sherry cream sauce, and a great combination of flavors. The House Made Potato Gnocchi was tasty, but very non-traditional. With the marinated vegetables, it was almost like an elevated pasta salad (but warm). The Glazed Short Ribs were the most filling item of the three, and the meat was super soft. It maybe could've used a bit more sauce instead of just a glaze, but overall we liked it. Our server was sweet, but visibility a little stressed. However, all the food came out impressively quickly and the whole dinner took less time than expected. Worth a visit!

Yelp
On family vacation we brought my FIL here for his 70th birthday dinner. We made a reservation, were met sweetly at the door and seated quickly. Our waitress was the sweetest, food was delicious, they were able to work around my strange allergies (Onions and Peaches) they tolerated all four of the crazy kiddos in our party. Other patrons were accommodating, will return when visiting the area.

Yelp
We stopped by this place between lunch and dinner so we got the small bites and happy hour drinks menu. The small bites were delicious, we practically tried all of them. The meatballs, friend chicken slider, lettuce wraps, poke tostada, all of it was really good. We tried the flight of tequila which was ok, nothing too amazing. Great place for large group (there were 8 of us, 4 adults and 4 kids). Also, great for kids, there were many people there with small kids.

Yelp
Initial contact wasn't super friendly, but got seated right away and had a wonderful server. Ordered off the happy hour menu and everything came out fresh and tasty. Only complaint was the bun for the fried chicken slider was stale. But everything else had great flavor. Nothing too special about the ambience, but it's nice and seems clean. There were a couple of private events happening so things were in "busy mode." All in all, I liked it and will come back.

Yelp
The weight staff and manager were wonderful. I am working to not have sea oils and they research carefully and let me know what dishes to have, what dishes to not order. On top of that, the food was simply amazing. We had raised ribs and mushroom ravioli. I keep thinking of that food and experience every few days and look forward to going back.

Yelp
I've now been to Parkside twice and think that a 3.5 star rating is appropriate. They seem to still trying to settle in, so the service and some of the food/drinks still need a bit of work What's great here: -The vibe: the seating is super comfortable, the lighting is flattering , and overall atmosphere is very inviting. -The drinks (depending on the bar tender): during our first visit there was a blonde bartender who made the most phenomenal beet cocktail. I also really enjoy their espresso-based drink, which packs quite a kick caffeine and alcohol-wise. -Deviled eggs: it's deviled eggs, I know, but these guys were super tasty. The bacon is nice and crunchy and adds a lovely amount of saltiness. -Phenomenal bread pudding: this one is a show stopper and definitely the best bread pudding I've ever had. They currently offer a pumpkin version which I'm sure is to die for. -The pork chop: nice portion, well seasoned, and the accompanying marinated mushrooms work perfectly with it. Get this! -People working there are very friendly. What could be better: -Drink consistency: the best drink didn't taste nearly as good the second time around and was very light on the alcohol. I didn't finish it and got a different cocktail. -$3 bread: I hate paying for bread, but don't mind it if it's special. This was basic sourdough (and not particularly good one) with plain butter. Skip -Need to hire more servers: I don't think they are appropriately staffed for an establishment of their side, with a single server covering way too many tables. This definitely impacts the customer experience, eventhough the servers are doing their best and are extremely friendly. Conversely, they have 2 people "manning" the hosting station which seems excessive. The good news is that a lot of the issues are easy fixes and this place could be great. I'll continue to support them and hope they'll succeed.

Yelp
I came here for dinner with a friend on a weekday night and was surprised by how much energy and how crowded it was! Clearly, it is the new, popular place in downtown LG! We split the ahi tuna nachos. And I also got the salmon with broccolini. While the food was well portioned and flavorful, there wasn't anything about the dinner that really wowed me or felt especially unique. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, just not a real standout that would make me want to come back again and again. The service was extremely friendly, and we enjoyed how lively the atmosphere was. I'll definitely be back if a friend wants to go, but unless there's something more eye-catching on the menu, I probably won't be coming often.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Sunday evening to check out this new restaurant. Made reservations for 8pm. Once we arrived we were informed that our table wasn't ready yet. No worries as we found a seat at the bar. We ordered a round of drinks and hung out for a bit. The cocktail I ordered was supposed to be Earl Grey forward but it didn't come through at all. Once seated, our waiter stopped by to tell us about the specials and take our order. We decided on the spring lettuce wrap and hush puppy appetizers. Both were tasty, but the shrimp was lacking some kind of seasoning. Maybe a drizzle of a more tangy sauce would help balance out the flavors (needed more than the charred lime provided) For the entrees, we ordered the halibut special ($40), glazed short ribs ($32), and Horseradish crusted salmon ($29). We all felt that the portion sizes were a bit small for the price point. The short ribs had a small amount of pasta underneath and was too sweet for me. We couldn't really taste the horseradish flavor on the salmon. The halibut was decent but for the price we were expecting a bigger piece. Service was friendly but not super attentive. We had to ask for our check and had to wait a bit for it even though the restaurant was relatively empty at that point. I understand that this is a relatively new restaurant so I would be willing to give it another try!

Yelp
Service was excellent. Food was amazing. I could eat the short rib bites forever. Salads, soup and burger were also perfection.

Yelp
This place is incredibly cute! It's very lively and the vibes are great. Our server was awesome, unfortunately I forgot her name but she was really sweet. The food was good. I got steak frites and they were pretty good. Overall a solid spot.
