"With a tree-shrouded courtyard overlooking the neighboring hillside, the atmosphere surrounding Los Gatos Soda Works is an amiable one. The drinks, however, have a roguish edge. Start with Honor Among Thieves, A Pirate’s Life for Me, Inside Job, or Grand Larceny, then make amends with a barrel-aged Law Abiding Citizen. Owner Jason Seele has gained Most Imaginative Bartender recognition from Bombay Sapphire, and he brings out the big guns on special occasions. If you’re lucky enough to make a reservation, your drink just might come in a bird-shaped glass (with dried lavender sprigs for tailfeathers) or in a teeny-tiny bathtub (with a quarter-sized rubber duck floating atop a “bath” of champagne and yuzu foam)." - Johanna Harlow

Great tasting and beautiful looking drinks/cocktails here. They have a very minimal selection of small plates to share but a wide variety of cocktails to choose from. Each of their cocktails has an artistic & aesthetic twist to it. Cocktails are nice, but gave 4-star because of their limited choices for vegetarian small plates. Will definitely go back to this place with friends to enjoy drinks. Both indoor & outdoor seating is there. Reservations are required on weekends.

Drinks are definitely on the more pricey side but they are fun creative, delicious and a definite conversion starter for those who enjoy a good cocktail. The staff was very knowledgeable and curated a delightful environment.

Google
We made reservations and came with a group of 8. The drinks came out quick and were definitely a step above your average cocktail. The highlight of the drinks here are the fun and wacky containers that they may come in! You don’t have to order from the indoor only menu to have a great and fun experience! It’s a fun place to experience with a group of friends or even a date/friend at the bar or outside.

Google
I love this place. Hands down the best cocktail bar in the South Bay. Possibly, the best cocktail bar South of SF. Amazingly creative, insanely delicious cocktails. My partner and I were completely blown away. The food is super solid as well. Not a huge selection, but wonderfully executed. What a gem! Highly recommend!

Been here a million times and took a million photos, yet this is the first time I’ve done a review. It’s pretty short and simple…..this place servers good vibes, tasty dranks and yummy snacks. Not sure if things have changed since the establishment opened, but they don’t serve hot foods as they don’t have a full kitchen. All their snacks are really good though (deviled eggs, spiced nuts). The drinks are REALLY good, like the best cocktail spot in town. We came on a Wednesday at 8pm and it was pretty groovin. I would def make a reservation for a Friday or Saturday. I’ve tried walking in with just two peeps and they are almost always full. They do have a big patio but even then, it’s so packed. Brian is the only face I recognize. Didn’t see Jacob. Both are friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks. I always go with their recommendation, and it never fails. Parking is easy. They have a standalone lot they share with a restaurant and other smaller nearby businesses, but there’s also a lot of street parking. Better yet, just Uber bc you will have at least three cocktails before you leave.

Just what we needed! Were looking for a fun sunny afternoon activity and we found it in Los Gatos. Los Gatos Soda Works was wonderful. Ambiance 5/5. Casual but fun. Indoor and outdoor seating. Nice background music. Service 5/5. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Truly cared about getting us the cocktails we wanted. Cocktails and food. 5/5 Super fun menu and great presentation. The dungeness crab toast was OUTSTANDING. Drinks were delicious. Great vibe. Great time. Will come again. Came again. Just for cocktails this time. Added cocktail offerings. So intriguing. Tried the "Outside the box". Per hubby "This is quite good!" I agree. I enjoyed the "Song and Dance". Ahhh mescal and pineapple. Delish.

Google
Home run; if you'll allow me to use a hockey analogy ;) Please, please. I'll be here all week. They have a cocktail extravaganza, if you will, once a month with specialty cocktails that are as much about presentation as they are creativity, balance, and top-shelf mixology. The staff was personable and friendly. They seemed as excited about explaining the drinks as I was trying them. Trendy cocktail bar with a limited but flavorful tapas. The cocktail theater drinks are a bit on the expensive side but well worth it when you consider the creativity and effort that goes into designing such unique cocktails. I highly recommend adding this to your list of must-tries. Use the code "gullable" for a 150% discount.

This place is amazing! Bobby is a highly talented chef, everything that came out kitchen was spectacular. All of our cocktails that Cameron made were just as delicious. Thanks for a great meal

Yelp
This was our first time coming here! We came just for drinks and were lucky to be able to grab two spots at the bar. My husband and I both really enjoyed our cocktails. We could tell that everything they put into them was high quality and the presentation was so fun! We found the bar tenders to be very friendly and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the process of how some of the drinks were made. We'd like to come back again to try out the food. I would definitely recommend making a reservation on their website since it was already pretty busy around 6pm. Super fun place!

Yelp
We came here for my birthday celebration and had a great time. The drinks here are so unique and served in fun little ways. For drinks we got Figment of the Imagination, Studio 54, and Dead Reckoning. All great and all quite strong. The drinks here are not watered down! For food, we got the poke cups and the grilled cheese sandwich. Both great, but the grilled cheese was definitely much more filling than the poke cups. I would not particularly recommend coming here if you are starving, but if you don't mind having a handful of bites with your drinks, you can definitely get full from the food options they offer. PLEASE NOTE -- there are a handful of drinks that for some reason, they do not serve outdoors. (These also happen to be the super cute insta-worthy drinks). So if you are coming here specifically for one of these drinks, be sure to call ahead and reserve a spot or you will be disappointed.

Yelp
I recommend making a reservation in advance. I did a walk in for party of 2 on Friday evening and I had to sit outside. The hosts were very accommodating and made sure we had the outdoor heaters set to the right temperature since it was a rainy day. We could order everything except the theater drinks. I had the Studio 54 (it came in a cute disco cup, it's strong on the vanilla taste from the carpano antica) and the A Perfect Circle (mostly beet flavor). I liked how unique the cocktails were. Our server was great at making recommendations for us and explaining the drinks. Unfortunately they didn't have the cocktail in the bird shaped glass that I saw on Yelp which is what initially drew us to this bar; she said they served some mocktails in fun shaped glasses. We shared the grilled cheese that came with tomato soup, the tomato burrata with side of bread (fyi, t's more sweet than savory because of the apricot jam), and lobster roll. I liked all the food and I'd get them all again.

Yelp
This place is dangerous! Our group had too good of a time. Cocktails were fun, unique, and delicious. Rubber ducky in a bathtub of gin? Spinning camera lens with a printed logo on the foam? Bring it all on. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy that perfect Cali weather. May have gotten too drunk. As I said, this place is dangerous. Have a great time.

Yelp
What a hidden gem!! Loved eating and drinking at this cute place in Los Gatos!! Service was amazing, all the staff were super attentive. They're known for their craft cocktails, with didn't disappoint but the food was also delicious! They have a great outdoor patio area and the restaurant inside is super cute and clean! I will definitely go back to sample more drinks and food!

Daniella K.

Yelp
Nick was so great, he made us a drink with all the things we were looking for in a cocktail, which wasn't an easy ask (rum, tequila, spicy, egg white, creamy) and turned out AMAZING. Thank you, Nick, we will definitely be back!

Claire R.

Yelp
Wanted to try this place based on the amazing photos of the cocktails and it did not disappoint. Came here on a Saturday afternoon at open(4pm) and there was plenty of seating. I made a reservation to be safe! The waitress was very informative and excited and passionate about the unique drinks they had to offer. My friends and I ended up getting the rinse and repeat, rooted in tradition and food for thought. All drinks were delicious and strong! Each had unique flavors and in house made ingredients. Definitely worth the visit and price. They have a lot of outdoor seating which is great for upcoming sunny days. We had a great time! Very relaxing atmosphere, highly recommend.

Mariah M.

Yelp
I feel like a lot of places claim they serve craft cocktails, but Soda Works takes it to a new level and they create a whole experience with their drinks. Even their Moscow Mule is an award winner! They clearly care about the ingredients and are ready to tell you where each ingredient is from and how the drinks are made. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a fun spot with lots of seating that cares about quality.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate Valentine's Day, and predicted it'd be packed so we made a reservation. Once we arrived, we were seated right away and were given the choice of the bar or a table. We decided to take the bar, but looking back, I honestly would've chosen a table due to several factors. Because we weren't at the center of the floor, it took over 10 (if not 15) minutes for a staff member to notice that we were sat. We weren't given waters or menus until we finally asked, which also took a few moments as well to get someone's attention even though it wasn't a full house. Due to the placement of the bar, we were also sat right in front of the area where they were cleaning, prepping new utensils, etc. It just wasn't as nice of an experience as I would've liked since half of our "table space" was occupied with administrative tasks. Nonetheless, the drinks were delicious -- we're not surprised that its won multiple awards! It is on the pricier end but you can taste the quality and uniqueness of their ingredients and creativity. I'd come back to try their other drinks and bites, but I'd be weary of where we're sat. Overall, my rating was definitely knocked down due to the service and ambiance of our experience.

Sara J.

Yelp
I had always heard great things about this spot so I was super excited when I was finally able to try it. I would like to recommend making a reservation in advance, especially if you get cold easily as half of their tables are outside. My partner and I made same day reservations so we had to sit outside. Despite being seated outside, we really enjoyed everything we ate and drank here. The drinks are really cute and sometimes arrive in interesting glassware, such as the food for thought. It arrived in a large ceramic takeout box & had two straws you use as chopsticks to enjoy the pickled garnishes in the drink. We really enjoyed the lobster roll, deviled eggs and Dungeness crab toast but my favorite was the truffle grilled cheese. This spot would be perfect for alfresco dining on a warm summer night!

Yelp
We came in after 8pm on a Sunday, so the kitchen was closed (will have to come back to try their small plates). The cocktails are phenomenal, I got the "rinse and repeat" cocktail and my partner got "parlous tricks" cocktail which came with food pairing. The cocktails are phenomenal. The ambience is cute (perfect for a date). The service was amazing. The waiters are very knowledgeable in all the cocktails and the drinks.

Yelp
Great spot for craft cocktails! Drinks are well balanced and well presented. the menu is extensive so you are bound to find a drink that matches your palette. The staff are super helpful and friendly. If you aren't sure what to drink - they ask what your taste preferences are and offer a few suggestions. Seating inside is limited, but they have a fairly spacious outdoor patio with heaters and cute table lamps at each table for ambiance. Note that the cocktail theater menu is only available if you are in the dining room! However, the ambiance for the dining room is severely lacking. The overhead lights were a cool-white, and the interior looked overall a little run down. Overall it's a great spot for pre or post dinner drinks.

Deirdre R.

Yelp
I came here with a friend. I had one Mocktail (no alcohol) - that had their house made fig jam, pear along with lemon juice. It was very tasty. We also had the crab and avocado toast , which was served warm and the roasted cauliflower, which was very good on a chilly night. The ambience was very pleasant and the service was very good. Overall we felt very comfortable and welcomed. It was a good experience.

Yelp
I went here for the first time on a rainy night with a few friends after having dinner at Chungdum in Santa Clara. We drove all the way down to Los Gatos Soda Works for drinks because a couple of my friends had been there before and enjoyed the presentation and complexity of flavors in their drinks. I have to say, they didn't disappoint. It was a chilly, rainy night and we didn't have a reservation, so we started at an outside table. I actually enjoyed this because we could enjoy the rain while enjoying the warmth of a large gas heater on either side of our table. Our server was super sweet and attentive. She kept us updated on where we were on the waitlist to get a table inside and got us in as soon as possible. The decor and aprons that the employees wore gave me steam-punk vibes and I loved it. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Well, as long as you appreciate more complex flavor combos in your cocktails. I love a good craft cocktail. Will definitely go back and maybe try some food next time.

Schelly Y.

Yelp
What a fun place! They have a lot behind the restaurant and street parking as well. The special drinks are something else and over the top. We tried a variety of small plates which was great for sharing.

Jonathan S.

Yelp
Get the el Pistolero, not on the menu but it's a tequila anejo based manhattan and it's amazing! Their drinks are fantastic and small bites keep the edge off! If you don't have a reservation, you can sit outside at the barrels, first come first serve.

Iris H.

Yelp
First time at Soda Works and love the staffs here. We were fortunately enough to try their holiday menu before they change back to normal menu. Most cocktails came in Christmas themed mugs and all taste super good. Our personal favorite is the "Baby it's cold" which is a warm bourbon with hot chocolate and whip~ super good! We didn't get a chance to try a lot of appetizer since we were full, but we will definitely be back to try the other cocktails and the dishes in the future~ Shout out to Soda Works and the staffs by preparing the new year eve celebration decoration and even a champagne toast for all customers! Thank you so much for doing that~

Liz P.

Yelp
The drinks are good and the service and ambiance are spot-on and welcoming. My only suggestion would be to include heartier entrees because the current menu is limiting in choice and smaller in portion. Though the approach for faster turnover is successful, incorporating substantial food choices can counterbalance the effects of drinking, leading to improved customer retention and higher spending rates. Overall, Los Gatos Soda Works is an excellent establishment to connect with friends and colleagues or a fun date!

April G.

Yelp
Stopped by for some fancy cocktails and small plates and we were not disappointed! We were seated immediately inside. We ordered a variety of dishes to share. Our favorites included the Chinese chicken salad and roasted cauliflower. For cocktails we tried the Rinse and Repeat and the Under the Sea from the cocktail theater menu. Both cocktails were tasty and unique but a bit challenging to drink as they were served in a tiny bathtub and a seashell. Overall this was a pleasant experience and we will be back to try their other offerings.

Roya J.

Yelp
Cute place with both indoor and outdoor seating. Private parking, sit inside for full cocktail options. They take reservations, must call and talk to a person. Great service! According to our son Parlor tricks smelled like a used bong. No idea what he's talking about. Okay I do, but lalalala. In all fairness it's a good cocktail and gets better if you let it sit for a bit. Rags to riches was very smooth, though I found it to be a little on the sweeter side. What caught my eye was the genie lamp on the magic carpet. Such a nice touch. Grand larceny and law abiding citizen were both well balanced and I'd recommend ordering in that order as LAC is more booze forward. I really enjoyed the idealist, which was recommended by the c next to us. Very easy to drink, maybe too easy. Food 4 thought was light and refreshing. As for food, we thoroughly enjoyed the kobe tartare, truffle grilled cheese with tomato basil soup, hamachi cruudo and mushroom soup.

Yelp
Very cute bar with a great cocktail menu. Wide selection and the bar has a nice ambiance as well. Would visit again.

Yelp
Food was good. Drinks are interesting, and the special "indoor drinks" are quite the production (although impractical to be sure). Service wasn't good, which is why I knocked off a star. We sat inside and ordered a number of fancy things that we mostly shared. I ordered an indoor drink that was served in a seashell. It was delicious and beautiful, and naturally awkward to drink out of. My friend ordered another indoor drink served with a beautiful flower and some apple leather. I have included photos of both, plus a photo of a mocktail that she ordered at the end of our meal. All in all, a solid choice and worth a try if you're over 21.

Yelp
Soda Works quickly became my favorite cocktail spot in Los Gatos. The allure of this establishment lies in its ever-changing menu of unique drinks that never fail to impress. My all time favorite is the Song and Dance. The staff is not only friendly but also incredibly helpful, always ready to recommend the perfect drink tailored to your preferences. The warm, fun, and chill environment at Soda Works sets the stage for a fantastic night out, whether you're looking to kick off your evening or wind down after a long day. If you're in Los Gatos, this is a must-visit destination for a memorable and enjoyable cocktail experience.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for dinner and drinks for my friend's birthday. They are walk-in only so we had an early lunch to ensure we got a table. Food & Drinks: I ordered the elephants on parade drink. It was a rum-based drink with tropical flavors like ube and pineapple. It was delicious, and I would order it again. It came in the cutest elephant mug too. For food, I tried the following: Roasted Beet Salad - This was amazing, and I was order this again. A lot of beets and well dressed Truffle Grilled Cheese w/ Tomato Bisque - The menu said butternut squash, but the soup of the day was tomato. I didn't mind. The grilled cheese was good. The soup could have been better. It was a little too acidic for me, but paired well with the sandwich. Heirloom Tomatoes & Burrata - This was good. The jam on it threw me off during the first bite, but I enjoyed the dish. My friends also tried the crab toast, the chicken sandwich, and the beef tartare. They enjoyed both dishes. Service: Service began slow as they were busy. We were told when we were seated that the server might take some time before they get to us. It did seem like they forgot about us for a bit. Our server did come by eventually. If you're new to the restaurant, they ask what kind of drinks do you normally go for and they make recommendations from there. I did not choose either drink that was recommended to me, but it was still a good time. The food came out as it was ready. The drinks take a bit of time, but they're craft drinks so what can you expect! TL;DR - crafty and tasty drinks with a good food selection.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
I always love cute cocktails! Had to try the Rinse and Repeat! U get to keep the lil rubber ducky. This drink was strong for me. I was feeling good. We talked to the server about the movies they play inside. U can park on street or in the lot behind. They told me I had to drink this drink w/o a straw, that way u can taste the foam.

Elena C.

Yelp
Still my go-to for superb drinks and light bites. We've been coming here at least every other month and have never been disappointed. Jason's creative approach to mixology always keeps us on our toes. Those drinks are not only stunning to look at, they are extremely yummy. Basically, your drink will come with an entire experience and a list of exotic items you've never heard off. The staff is always very friendly and the vibes are chill. They are pretty strict about their time policy, and we felt pretty rushed the last time we were here, but I get it. It's such a relaxing place and people tend to stick around. It takes a while to make the drinks so that's also a factor. Order fast, get some of their chicken salad and yummy charcuterie and enjoy as many drinks as possible.

Samer R.

Yelp
Great drinks. Make sure to try their indoor only menu but every other drink is also perfect. The food is limited but decent bites that go well with those hand crafted cocktails.

Vincent M.

Yelp
I've walked by this place literally hundreds of times and have unfortunately never decided to stop by until they recently showed up on my yelp recommended! I absolutely loved what this place has to offer as you definitely go here for their award winning drinks and small bites. We thoroughly enjoyed the presentation and description of the ingredients that were selected to craft their drinks. I'd even go as far as saying that the quality of their food and drinks here is basically the better and classy version of things you'd find in Vegas. We ordered their "under the sea" and "rags to riches" drink. The drinks were strong, and it was just an entire experience that I'd recommend to any of my friends. Looking back, I wish we had ordered some small plates because it would have completed the full experience. I love that this place is located in downtown Los Gatos, so it doesn't seem to get super crowded. There is plenty of parking as they have their own parking lot! The service was exceptional. Everyone looked happy to be there, our orders were taken and we got our drinks within 15 minutes. Overall, this is a hidden gem that I will definately be back very soon.

Yelp
Came here on Tuesday around 7 PM for a girls' night. Found this spot after searching "date night" on Yelp and this was exactly the vibe we were looking for. There wasn't a lot of people when we came in but the restaurant was never empty throughout the hight. Everyone was as super open to talking about drinks and food if you ever wanted to stop by. I can imagine how crazy it must get during weekends! Everything from the decor to the creative menu to the friendly staff made our experience amazing. There was an interesting menu feature called cocktail theater (?) that we heard was newly reintroduced. The drinks are a bit pricier (mid $20s) but it comes with a show. The servers were super informative and everyone around us had a great time watching our "show!" I forgot to take a photo of the names of our theater drinks but we had the bathtub one and the one with a genie lamp. They make their drinks STRONG here. My friend said her genie drink was comparable to a sweet, diluted shot of Henny. The ingredients in it were more top-notch than just a Henny but I can give you an idea of how strong it tasted. The "show" was a pouring of dry ice in the genie lamp. It also came with roasted candied pecans which complemented the drink. The bathtub drink came with a rubber duckie. It was fruity, light, and refreshing. It also smelled amazing. Overall for the cocktails, there is something for everyone and we were definitely satisfied, since the cocktail photos were a big draw for choosing to eat here. Hamachi crudo: Portion was small and it looks bougie. Very tasty. As a Vietnamese person, I immediately identified the fish sauce. It tasted like Vietnamese salads, goi. Charcuterie and cheese plate: Comes with pieces of toasted baguette. I was a big fan of the soft goat cheese, which looked like brie. It did not taste nor smell like goat much at all, very light! The hard cheese was delicious as well. It comes with three meats and three toppings--pickles, apricot jam and mustard. Tartare: This looked more like a pate than what I was expecting. Kind of a gray color. Could have used more salt/seasoning. My friend was not a fan, but personally, I enjoyed the texture on toasted bread. I ate it with the charcuterie for more salt. Salmon cups: The cups were a leaf of cabbage/lettuce. Sauce was tasty and you can really taste the salmon although I'd add a bit more salt. Everything was shareable. Despite having only finger foods, I was STUFFED at the end of the night. Would love to come back here for a date and to try their other seasonal drinks. Highly recommend!

Andreya D.

Yelp
Such a cute date night spot! We had two cocktails each and shared some small plates. The service was fast and friendly, the manager was coming around to see how everyone was doing! For the small plates we got the crab toast, truffled grilled cheese, and the steak tartare. Everything was good, but the crab toast was exceptional! They were out of the lobster roll when we went, but apparently that is amazing as well. I cannot remember the names of the drinks, but they were beautiful, complex and tasty. Some came in unique glasses, and some had special stamped ice! I will definitely be coming back

Isaac K.

Yelp
I strikly came to Los Gatos Soda Works during the holidays and let me tell it's probably the best set up bar in the South Bay! The place was decorated really festive. Amazing cocktail menu crafted with the holiday spirit. Plus all the servers were in the holiday spirit and super friendly! Would definitely be coming back when the crowds die down a bit from the holidays and would love to enjoy something from the regular cocktail menu.

Lauren W.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stopped in without a reservation and luckily they had an opening inside. We were greeted by a super kind waiter who explained the menu and pointed out his favorite cocktails, which got us super excited to try it. We each had a few drinks and they were all unique in both flavor and presentation. The drinks weren't too strong, which I liked. Overall I thought the drinks were delish and I can't wait to come back! I would definitely take someone here who's visiting from out of town!

Delta R.

Yelp
Another great night at Los Gatos Soda Works! The holiday pop up is something to experience. They have a whole new drink menu dedicated to festive holiday and winter drinks. Jason, the host, was very kind as we waited for a seat. Nick, the bartender, made amazing drinks and provided great banter. Definitely be heading back soon!

Tonya B.

Yelp
We had the best time here! Came as a group for their unique cocktails and they did not disappoint. The food was tasty, the service was fantastic (drinks were refilled quickly), and the cocktail selection was cute as well as unique. The owner took the time to thank us and get to know her patrons and ensured everything was up to par. This spot is somewhat of a drive from our home, but we will definitely make the drive to come here again, it's worth every penny!

Jennifer T.

Yelp
This was the most fun I've had for a cocktail experience in South Bay. The location is great, with plenty of parking in their private lot. The interior is a little confusing as it can be a California kitchen/diner/speakeasy but the decor, high ceilings and bright lighting blend all those components together. Service was excellent and we were given water, menus and an overview of their extensive menu as soon as we were seated. For bigger groups I would definitely make a reservation, especially if you want to be indoors. Fyi some of the drinks are only served indoors, these are under the theatre section. I went recently to specifically get the Rags to Riches drink, which according to their IG account said would be phased out of their current menu soon. This drink was exactly as theatrical and magical as I thought it would be. Beautifully presented with a nice pecan garnish. My partner was very happy with his drink as well. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the cocktails here. Food: they offer small bites here, ranging from a soup of the day to lobster roll. We had the deviled eggs, heirloom tomato burrata, butternut squash soup, and crab toast. These dishes in addition to 3 drinks will set you back $166. I will say although the food was good, I would rather eat dinner elsewhere and then come here to appreciate the drinks. The star of the show here is definitely the unique cocktails. We'll definitely be back soon for another cocktail night.

Amy D.

Yelp
If you're looking for creative cocktails (both ingredients wise and glassware), Los Gatos Soda Works is the place for you! I've walked by here a few times, and was finally able to check them out recently. They were busy but not crowded at 6:45pm on a Sunday, and we were able to walk in and grab a table (seating was available both indoors and out). Their cocktail/spirits menu (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=T3z1YeekD6kJejlTKCNn1Q&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg) was much more extensive than their 1 page food menu (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=rkWBBS8kD8f7KAE8fhWVmA&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg). They even have a page of cocktails that are only served inside- the price point for those drinks are much higher, but the ingredients were super unique and they are apparently served in very nice glassware. The dishes on their food menu are on the smaller side, and sharing is recommended. I tried: -A Walk in the Park (Roku Gin, Pisco, Salted Cantaloupe, Chareau Aloe, Bonal Gentian, $16, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=gJgTf7qcZeqbcbfsY714nA&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Solid cocktail. I had to give this a try since I don't often see a cocktail with cantaloupe in it, and I liked that this wasn't too sweet. The cantaloupe flavor was more subtle, but I thought all the ingredients worked well together. -Black Truffle Deviled Eggs (Creme Fraiche, Chive, Paprika, Crispy Prosciutto, $12, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=X5VHLaVg--tEO5PQUhrNHg&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Just ok for me, and I didn't think the ingredients quite meshed. I did like the crispy prosciutto, but I hope they add more truffle flavor, and serve the deviled eggs a little less cold -Truffle Grilled Cheese (White Cheddar, Monterey Jack, Provolone, w/Tomato Basil Soup, $16, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Ly67yX2RVMtdFazlbaHfwQ&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Yum- this was a solid grilled cheese, and their tomato basil soup was surprisingly flavorful. Again, I couldn't taste much truffle flavor and hope this can be ramped up; however, this was a substantial portion, and I would order this again. Their staff was attentive and friendly, and I would definitely come back if in the area. They have a shared parking lot in the back, and I was able to find one of the last spots in that area (they had live music in the park that weekend, and it was busier than usual).

Yelp
Nestled in the foothills of LG, this place is a super cute place to hang out with friends or go on a dinner date. There's outdoor seating, too, for those warm nights! Service was oooonnn point! Nick, the bartender - more of a creative master of spirits - was personable, funny, and even showed us a pic of his vaaaaasssst drink collection in his place. He made an on-the-fly mocktail for another table; but, I had to take a pic of it! Servers were helpful in narrowing down our poisons of choice! We were given detailed explanations for the drinks, which our group ordered several just to see what contraptions they came in. The food, tapas style, were yummy in our tummies! We ordered the beet salad, salmon poke cups, cauliflower, crab toast, truffle grilled cheese with butternut squash soup/dip, steak tartare, and deviled eggs. I love me some deviled eggs! First-timer at eating steak tartare - the steak was a bit bland, but I ate it with the capers and that gave it the brininess it needed. My fave, though was the truffle grilled cheese with the butternut squash soup/dip! It was to die for. I could've eaten that alone and I would've been happy! Definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
This place rocks!!! Love the ambience, the cocktails were bomb, and the apps that we tried were tasty!! Cannot wait to come back again & try more stuff!!

Yelp
I came here for the cocktails, as they are a cocktail bar, and the drinks were far too elaborate and had very interesting flavors that were not to my liking. The server we had was also a bit pretentious and at times brute and overbearing. All of the plates/bites sounded delicious but I didn't order any food which I was bummed about. I would only come here for a date or with a couple of friends. The staff was not very comforting and seemed a bit stuffy for my liking. Overall won't be coming back here

Yelp
Wow.. This place is so amazingly good. Shout out to our waiter Brian and staff for being accommodating. So first, we went there to put our name down. They make you call them around a certain time (weird). But we were able to get a table about 45-50 min later. We mostly hung out in the parking lot in our car. Also... parking can be tight but there is a lot. We sat outside with a heated lamp. Everything was pretty amazing. My favorite is the Kobe tartare, deviled eggs, & tomato and burrata. Drinks are crafted really well and tasty!

Yelp
What a fun place! Living near Los Gatos, can't believe I haven't been to Soda Works until now. I definitely recommend making a reservation as they have minimal seating and seems to get pretty busy. The Aladdin drink was so fun, where they pour Frankincense and Myrrh oil for an aromatic experience while you drink. Each drink seems to come with a fun pairing of smell or taste. Drinks took longer to come out than food, so expect a bit of a wait. The food was good overall. 4/5 - Crab toast. 4 bite size pieces with a generous heap of flavorful crab. A bit less sauce to enjoy the crab taste would have made it 5/5. 5/5 - Lobster roll. Toasted brioche bun with lobster and a light aioli sauce made it one of the winners of the night. 4/5 - Truffle grilled cheese. Came with soup, perfect pairing. Would have loved a bit more cheese as I felt like there was more bread than I would have liked, but dipping it in the soup made up for the lack of cheese. 3/5 - Cauliflower. Our waiter sold us on the cauliflower, saying it was their best dish. The cauliflower came out kind of mushy, nothing out of this world as we were lead to believe. 5/5 - Chickpea and avocado salad. Fresh and delicious. Loved the crunchy chickpeas adding texture to the salad. Came out to be about $60/person. A bit pricey considering we only had one drink each and sharing these small bites. Will definitely come back to try their other drinks though!

Yelp
This place was such a delightful surprise. The cocktail menu really impressed me, and I know it's a good sign when I'm generally torn between multiple options. Our waiter did a great job guiding me to the rags to riches, which was an exquisite cocktail that came on its own tiny magic carpet. The small plates were quite tasty as well!

Yelp
Los Gatos Soda Works has been on my list of spots to try out for a few months now and mostly due to their cocktail menu which has gotten rave reviews from other Yelpers and Google Reviews. When I saw that they also decorate and do a special holiday menu that sealed the deal for booking reservations for 2 for a girls catch up night. My friend initially tried calling, but Mondays and Tuesday's they are closed and when she finally reached them on Wednesday they only had a vm so she left one but was never called back, not even to cancel or confirm. Luckily, I was able to call and make reservations for 6pm. When we got there, there was a line even for those of us with reservations which made me worried as we had more plans later that night. We ended up finally getting seated on their outdoor patio around 6:30 which was disappointing as it doesn't look like they stick to reservations..but also good for those who are there since they won't get booted out. Even though we were outside we still had holiday decorations on the patio and lots of warm space heaters so being cold was not an issue. We had: -Mele Kalimaka (rum forward) and O Christmas Tree (vodka cocktail) which were equally delicious and had a nice balance of spirits so you had a nice little buzz. -Butternut squash soup was nice and velvety smooth and the added cream on top as well as toasted nuts was a nice touch (though I wish there was more!) -Crab toast was such a nice quick bite of warm crab and avocado on a nice crunchy piece of bread. The toppings were an interesting flavor profile and we liked the presentation of the dish. As others have mentioned, I wouldn't come here for the food itself as they are only small bites so maybe come for a pre-dinner drink and apps. Be wary of the long wait (even if you have reservations) and request a table indoors if you want to enjoy their seasonal decor!

Yelp
Very festive and beautifully decorated. The drinks came out great with the exception they forgot one drink. Service was a bit slow. We weren't quite ready to order right when we sat down but when we were the server was no where to be found. When he did come back it was to serve other tables that came after us. The food was okay. I felt a little disappointed on the portions and flavor. The salmon "cups" used the inner most part of the Napa cabbage and I was remarking with a friend that's the part I snack on when I'm cooking. Not something I would serve. The ceviche had some avocado sauce and it was pretty sour. There was supposed to be jalapeños but they were finally chopped - the onions overpowered the dish. I probably won't be coming back.

Yelp
The drinks are fun, unique and tasty. Th vibe is small/cosy - it's best to book a table in advance, especially on the weekends

Yelp
I've only come here for their Christmas drinks, but I definitely want to come again! This is a nice spot to get some drinks and hang out with friends. Their drinks are whimsical and delicious, and I love the fun mugs!

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of food, drinks, and service at Los Gatos Soda Works. Given the mixed reviews I was hesitated going there. I was debating if I should go for cocktails and small plates or a full dinner restaurant but decided to give LGSW a go. I rarely make it out to Los Gatos but it has a very nice downtown. So when this place shows up on Yelp I was perplexed about their name so I had to find out and asked the bartender. Turns out this place used to be a soda factory since 1907! The bartender then showed us the original soda bottle encased in a wooden glass box that they kept just above the paper towel dispenser. Always loved this kind of history stuff. For snacks, we had the Kobe steak tartare, truffle grilled cheese with tomato soup (menu said butternut Squash soup), tomato and burrata. The steak tartare and the burrata were my favorites. Loved the aged balsamic vinegar dressing on the burrata and the heirloom tomatoes were super sweet. The truffle grilled cheese on the other hand was quite mediocre. It had no truffle taste, not even a hint of truffle fragrant to it. As for the soup, I was expecting a butternut squash soup but it was a tomato soup which wasn't my favorite kind of soup. Ordered their award winning "a man and his mule" which is a take on Moscow mule, "elephants on parade", and "parlor tricks". All 3 drinks were great but my favorite is the Moscow mule and the cracker that came with the parlor tricks drink, haha! They didn't have the "rags to riches" which was a slight disappointment. There's parking behind the restaurant so that's a convenient. Loved this place and the bartenders were super friendly. Would recommend!

Yelp
So cute! So festive - and the drinks are too easy to drink. I highly recommend reservations. You do need to call to make reservations, hopefully they partner with an app suck as OpenTable or even Yelp but for now, a quick call works. I booked a table for a Friday night and I booked about a month in advance. Literally had no idea they would deck the place out for the holidays and change the menu to holiday themed drinks so a total score. There is a pop-up tent that they have around back to offer additional seating. All outdoor seating has heat lamps that are really effective but still bring a jacket and dress warm for the winter/festive months. The food menu is small bites so if you're expecting entree type meals, this isn't the place. However for social/Chismosa gathering- this is the spot to order a couple drinks and snacks with the crew.
