Los Gueros (on the corner of Vine and Lindsey) is my favorite for breakfast tacos. Pictured on the left is the chorizo egg taco and on the right is a spicy potato, egg, and bean taco. Both on grilled flour tortillas. That's morita sauce over the top of the one on the right. Folks, there are (at least) two awesome things going on here! The first is that they have amazing beans that you pay a little bit for and they're all you can eat. The other thing is they have a salsa bar! This is an amazing selection of sauces, including five or six different self-yourself salsas. To my knowledge is the only Morita sauce in town, and you can buy any of their salsas to go! I'm also pretty crazy about their posole (see image) and their puerco guisado is some of the best I’ve had! And their enchilada plates have all the trimmings and they are very filling. Awesome! 5 stars!

Being from out of town... recently moved from Houston. We've been on the look out for an 'AUTHENTIC' Mexican breakfast... as it promises. We hopped in for breakfast to try their Huevos Rancheros. You order at the counter, pay, grab your drinks and have a seat. Ordered 2 plates of Huevos Rancheros add bacon to both. One water and one coffee... $28 was a bit pricey for breakfast for two. Once we received our order... we were a bit disappointed. No REAL papas (potatoes)! Served with crinkle cut fries?... Authentic? Where? The tortillas didn't even taste AUTHENTIC? The food we were served tasted ok, but faaarrrrr from authentic as it claims. Reason for the 3 Stars... we will NOT be back! If I wanted crinkle cut fries, could have pulled that outta my freezer at home.

Google
Nice environment with friendly helpful waitresses. Tortilla soup was amazing. Good flavor and lots of chicken. The rices was fluffy and perfect to be thrown in the soup. Big slices of avocado top off this meal.

First time here. Ordered beef fajitas. The meat looks and tasted, dry, stale, chewy. Could not even swallow it. Did not try the beans or rice on the plate after that and threw everything away. Four star places do not usually disappoint but for that $15+ price and that kind of food. I will not be back.

Google
Great place with great staff food is always delicious they never miss on the food, which is always great. They also have the greatest salsa choices.

Google
Had the Migas plate for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. Migas were crunchy , the beans and rice were perfect. Will be back to try other plates. I highly recommend this restaurant

Yelp
I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. Moved out here from west Texas and was worried we wouldn't find the flavors we had out they way but this place has them. Awesome breakfast, specifically the chorizo and an amazing salsa bar. Definitely the new go to for breakfast and lunch.

Yelp
Vengan a este lugar la comida esta muy buena , el desayuno los burritos de huevo con chorizo

Yelp
Love their breakfast tacos and enchiladas!! Their verde sauce is my fav. Been going here for years and they never disappoint. Very friendly and fast service too.

Deb M.

Yelp
Food is fresh. The service is friendly and the ambiance is typical of a Mexican food restaurant. Their salsa is to die for. I have eaten here twice and the food quality is consistently good.

Yelp
Great tacos and quesadillas! Prices are a little steep, but it is totally worth it. They also have the best coconut or chocolate pie you will find.

Yelp
Date July 3, 2020 at the height of COVID-19. Excellent chorizo & egg tacos and bistek tacos. If in Tyler, try this place out.

Yelp
Everything was spot on. Early so order was ready quick. If you want a bowl of fresh pinto beans let them know it's only 1.00 more.

Yelp
It looks reallly nasty on the outside but after looking at reviews and word of mouth I tried ...IT IS THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IVE EVER HAD BY FAR!
google avatar

Yelp
This place was okay. Tortillas didn't taste like real tortillas and the tacos were OKAY. I've have better, but I've also had worse. Wouldn't go again... Everyone was friendly though!

Michelle C.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. Consistently get the to go orders wrong. Even when they know they are wrong they have very flip attitude about correcting the problem. The beef is too chewy.

Yelp
Don't let the look of the place fool you. I've been eating here for years and the food is always great. Especially fond of breakfast! The Rancheros is top notch and authentic. Be sure to get the beans for a dollar with your breakfast. Best in Texas.

Yelp
This is a clean, friendly place serving authentic breakfast and we both got ranchero egg medium with flour tortillas and they were perfect. Beans if you eat in like we did.had the watermelon water which was devine

Yelp
My wife and I moved to East Texas in 2010 from San Antonio where Mexican food is a STAPLE! When we are in the mood for something from south of the border, THIS IS OUR GO TO! We have never been disappointed. One of the BEST things to get when you are in the mood for something sweet is the Tres Leches. They have one of the best in town and it even has a Texas flair with Fresh Pecans on top. We love this Outstanding little "hole in the wall"!

Yelp
Great breakfast. I had bacon egg and cheese breakfast tacos and Cynthia had migas. Friendly staff. We will be back when in Tyler.

Yelp
BREAK-FAST! TA-COS! *clap* *clap* *clapclapclap* That is the big thing that is worth cheering for here. Fluffy eggs, delicious salsas--it's worth getting up early to catch these. It's bright, it's clean, and if you didn't bother to change out of pajamas, they've got a drive-thru--lucky you.

Yelp
Got the #7 beef tacos on flour tortillas, Maria Salad (small), and Cantaloupe/Watermelon Agua Fresca. Tacos were pretty darned good; Agua Fresca was good, salad was mediocre. Free beans were a nice touch. Nice folks. I'd eat here often if I lived in the area, as long as I could stomach it.

Yelp
When this place opened, it was great. Fresh tortillas, perfectly cooked beef, firm, fresh avocados, delicious (complimentary) pinto beans. Now, we have mushy avocados, beef full of gristle that's over-cooked into beef jerky, cilantro stems, charge for water, charge for beans. Just seems like they've lost their enthusiasm for excellence they started with. But, I am still hooked and just have to look past the changes and enjoy what's still good.

Lan L.

Yelp
I went for the #7 since that seemed to be the consensus from the reviews. It was ok. Close to the street tacos that I'm used to eating on the west coast. Only thing missing was onions. The meat wasn't as flavorful as I hoped but it was tender.

Christian K.

Yelp
Pros- Food is delicious and made fresh. Shrimp cocktail is savory, not spicy, and has lots of shrimp. The small cocktail is extremely filling. Taco meat does not usually have a lot of fatty, chewy spots. They have different types of salsa from extremely mild delicious green salsa to extremely spicy habanero sauce. The tres leches cake is always delicious! The rice and beans are not too bad. Their fresh made waters taste fresh and homemade. Everyone is always friendly. Cons- it's pricey. More than $2 for an average sized taco is too much for me. And their prices seem to constantly go up. They close early. If you get off work at 7pm don't bother stopping by and on Saturdays they're only open until 3 pm.

Yelp
The best street-style tacos in Tyler IMHO. Service is generally speedy, and I've never been disappointed in the food.

Yelp
Los Gueros is a very clean and friendly taqueria on Vine Street in Tyler. Obviously authentic food, friendly staff and cheap to boot. The tacos are about $2 each and you get free beans if you dine in. I recommend the # 7 with beef on flour tortillas, it comes with cilantro, avocado slices and white queso blanco.
google avatar

Daniel M.

Yelp
This is the best taco place in Tyler. Very authentic Mexican style tacos for about $2-3 apiece. I usually get three #7 tacos, which have tender beef, white cheese, avocado and cilantro, with a side of beans. Squirt a bit of lime on top and you're good to go. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. The only thing I don't like is that their hours are so strange (they close at 7 PM), but it's an ideal lunch or early dinner place, and they have drive-thru service.

Yelp
I ordered 1 beef, 1 chicken, and 1 pork taco so that I could try a variety. I also ordered chips and salsa ($5, steep) and rice and beans (beans are no longer free). They brought me chips and salsa, and two beef tacos. They didn't bring me any rice and the beans were self-serve, which was a little weird. So with a completely different order in front of me than what I asked for (whatever), I tried the food. The tacos were good and the ingredients seemed fresh, but they were also bland - no sauce or heat. That wouldn't have been a problem if any of the sauces on the table had any heat to them whatsoever. I ended up having to douse everything in tobasco, which was disappointing. The salsa was not that tastey and was also extremely cold, which was a big turnoff. The chips were in desperate need of salt. The taco ingredients give this place potential, but over all I was pretty disappointed.

Richard R.

Yelp
One of the Best! I come here as often as possible and they never let you down!! They serve great food that's freshly prepared.

Gabe G.

Yelp
Great authentic food and reasonably priced!!!! Highly recommended! Food doesn't not take long and is made on the spot, for you. Doesn't take long to get over here, so stop by and check out their beef soup.

Yelp
This place is legit. That's all I will say. Family owned/run. Very delicious food, clean space, nice atmosphere. But mostly...freaking good food.

Yelp
Best quesadillas in Tyler. Get the #2 Quesadilla with avocados, onions, beef, and white cheese on the flour tortilla. I'm also a huge fan of the #7 Beef taco on corn salads. Service is super friendly, great atmosphere, clean, awesome outside porch eating areas. And amazing food. Straight-up.
google avatar

Casey O.

Yelp
If you like your tacos autentico, then this is the place. Fresh ingredients, an assortment of delicious sauces, mouth watering pinto beans and a nice, friendly staff. This place ain't fine-dining, but it is just fine by me. Great food at a great price. Do yourself a favor & check 'em out.
google avatar

Bryan H.

Yelp
I can't find on their menu where they show they have chicken versions of all their tacos. But they do have have chicken which I prefer. Awesome tacos and authentic wonderful sauces in many flavors.
google avatar

Jonathan S.

Yelp
Love this place! #2 quesadilla or the #7 taco is what I get. The chicken salad is good as well. I would eat here everyday if I could. Friendly service and great prices...and FREE BEANS!! I've heard their breakfast tacos are good too.
google avatar

Clark C.

Yelp
Good breakfast and generous portions. The Ranchero breakfast is as good as any breakfast in town. 2 eggs with a savory red sauce nestled up next to retried beans and fried potatoes, take all that and wrap it up with fresh homemade tortillas...hard to beat.

Kim D.

Yelp
There is nothing bad about this place. Everything they serve is amazing. I usually get the #6 taco and add avocado and I get their shrimp cocktail. I've never had a better shrimp cocktail anywhere. Delicious sauce with avocado and cilantro. YUM! I wish this place great success!
google avatar

John D.

Yelp
Best Taqueria in Tyler! Food is always great, the place very clean and the staff very friendly. I would give it 6 stars if I could.

Sarah J.

Yelp
Love this place. Quality ingredients and their tacos are the bomb! Great breakfast items as well!

K T.

Yelp
Wanted breakfast but arrived at 10:40. Was the only guest in the restaurant and could not get breakfast. Tried to Barbarcoa. It was boring and probably yesterday's. The only redeeming feature was the corn tortillas. I was looking for migas to start my day after a late night and was disappointed.

The R.

Yelp
Been a long time customer. Great food but they continue to go up on their prices. Small burritos are now 5.47 out the door. Plus the .50 charge for the salsa is a joke. They charge you for EVERYTHING. I'm going to have to find a new place to eat. Sad.
