The singular best meal of my life! This is a world class dining experience set in a sacred space. We tried dumplings, ramen, tacos, the locally sourced water and house made sodas. The restaurant's creator has developed a method for fermenting over 40 types of mushrooms which act as the meat of the menu offerings. Those wary of fungi will certainly be won over. The space itself could nearly be considered a gallery with aged wood and ceramics throughout, not the least of which are the dishes we were served with. Hand illustrated labels make the house-bottled beverages into recyclable works of art and were brought out with frosted glasses. If your timing is fortunate enough, the pan de muertos is not to be missed. Even using the bathroom here is a hallowed moment with its candlelight and intoxicating incense. The neighborhood is beautiful for walking around.

One of my favorite restaurants!!! the food it is unbelievable!!! The mushroom burgers are my favorite dish, but the ramen and tacos are varied and just awesome. For vegans this is a paradise, but please give it a try to open your palates to new flavors!! Unapologetically delicious!!!

This is the best vegan food we have eaten at a restaurant anywhere in the world. It’s that good we went everyday for lunch on our last visit to CDMX. It’s easy to see that the chef and owner really puts her heart and soul into the menu, the food and the restaurant. The service is great and the servers are very attentive to your needs. Everything on the menu tastes so fresh and flavorful, but my favorites are the dumplings, corn in mole and most of the tacos. The chef ferments their own mushrooms that go into all the dishes which is mind blowing. And they have an incredible selection of home made drinks, sparkling tea’s with mushrooms, fermented sodas with mushrooms and no sugar. We’ve nearly tasted all of them. It’s such a delight to dine there and a little sanctuary of peace in the city.

Wow. Truly an incredible menu. Super gourmet. Went after rush hour and sat in the side room against the windows and had an incredible feast. Everything was homemade, even the bottled beverages in the fridge. The staff were super kind. Space and location were really nice. Tons of gluten free options. Wish I snapped a picture of the menu so I could list what I ordered but everything was great. Def a place for foodies.

I don’t think I have eaten vegan, local food at this quality level before.it was really delicious and I will come back, even though I only have four days in Mexico city.the tacos were a dream but also the local drinks and I’m sure all of the other food is worth the visit.

What a gem! We were exploring Chapultepec and wanted to find lunch nearby. I am so glad that we stumbled upon Los Loosers. Our server started by explaining the restaurant's philosophy and where they source their food and beverages. We shared the empanaditos with queso to start. My husband ordered two mushroom-centric tacos and I ordered the tetelita con mole. We were blown away by the attention to presentation, flavor profiles, and textures---the empanaditos were our favorite. We also had two of their special sodas, which were super refreshing on a hot day. We appreciated that they were low in sugar without any artificial ingredients. We liked Los Loosers so much that we returned two days later for lunch. It is the only restaurant that we ate at twice while in Mexico City, and it was our favorite among the many stellar places where we dined (we liked it even more than a certain restaurant with two Michelin stars!). Neither of us are vegan, but we appreciate vegan dining are are always happy to find a place that does it so well.

My first time coming to this place was amazing! Returning after 2 years was a much different story. Unfortunately the descriptions in the menu did not match what was served. Especially the level of spiciness which should be denoted in the menu as well! After tasting various dishes from the new menu, the gyozas are the only items that I would return for. I found the mushrooms bulgoki were undercooked while the rice dish Takikomi Gohan even though it said steamed rice was too burned and over cooked,

Amazing. Just an amazing meal. I'm not vegan and I don't love mushrooms but I loved every moment of this meal. I very bite was delicious. Service was spectacular-such a nice man serving us, very knowledgeable about the menu and the mezcal, polite and friendly and should give master classes on serving. Cute patio, adorable restaurant. Anyway, I got one of their special tacos and 3 of the tacos on their current menu. I don't remember which was which but I can tell you the Santa Maria taco from the menu was the best. The others were good but that one was out it this world. My mezcal suggested by the server was so good and not available in liquor stores or in the states I that I asked if I could buy a bottle and he sold me their last bottle. Come here. Meat eater, vegan, or otherwise. Come here. You're wasting your trip to Mexico City if you don't.

Handmade ciders and mushroom beer were delicious, and the empanadas were perfectly cooked. The best part of the meal was the flan with orange and coffee syrup, to die!

By far the best food on our entire vacation in Mexico City. It's all very thoughtfully prepared, the flavors are interesting and balanced, and, unusually for Mexico City, the staff are both kind and competent. The food is described as "mushroom-forward vegan," which is totally my jam.

Wow wow wow. This food truly blew me away. If you are vegan, and even if you aren't, you HAVE to come here when you are in Mexico City. My non-vegan friend recommended it to me, as she recommended several wonderful vegan restaurants around Mexico City (which has a bunch of vegan restaurants). This place was by far the best vegan food that I had a Mexico City. The flavors were unique and authentic, and I was able to try some dishes that I've never had before, even before I was vegan. The ambience was very sleek and sultry and the service was very kind. I will be running back to this place next time I'm in Mexico City.

The best food and service in Mexico City. My friends and I stopped by for dinner after flying and having not eaten all day. We were greeted by a server who guided us to our table. Although their website states that their employees speak only Spanish, our server spoke English and was able to explain the menu to us. The whole menu is dedicated to mushrooms. For food, we got the molcajete, mole side dish, flautas, and the kimchi side dish. For drinks, we got their house-made beer and a their soda special. Our favorites were the molcajete and flautas. The food was so delicious that we wanted to come back for breakfast and lunch. We learned that they have in-house chef that develops the menu, and it shows! Good service, food, and vibes! Would recommend m and come back next time we visit.

One of the most incredible meals I've had during my visit to Mexico City. Ever dish was made with such attention to detail in terms of flavor and overall appearance. Everything is vegan and mushroom based. We were lucky enough to have the chef herself come out and help us curate a list of items to order that would work well together. MB Ramen - a super yummy buttery broth with a lot of flavors. It was not spicy at all (the menu says spicy). Yakitori - wow. These had to have been my all time favorite dish at Los Loosers. HIGHLY recommend. Gyoza - deliciously crispy fried mushroom heaven. Fish tacos - soft and crunchy topped with tasty cilantro the fish tacos had mushroom meaty bites to it. It was 4 amazing bites. Flan - I'm not a huge fan of flan to begin with but this flan was really delicious. It had a distinct woody taste to it that made it feel light but decadent.

Mushroom forward japanese-mexican cuisine? This is my dream come true. From the mission statement, down to what's served right in front of you- pure perfection. It's been a long time since Ive felt this way about a meal. Los Loosers for life. Try everything. Come back and try more. This was my night 1 dinner, and with 10 more days ahead, I hope to revisit Los loosers again and again. This is the most confident 5 stars I've ever written.

Los Losers makes mushrooms sing. While I was in CDMX, I got the opportunity to go to Los Losers twice. The food was beyond exceptional. It is refreshing to see a restaurant that is driven by a vision and passion for excellence. This is reflected in the menu choices, the atmosphere and the staff. The menu range is terrific; Ramen to burgers and lots in between. We enjoyed the gyoza, Kinoko burger, the Tantanmen Ramen and the Esferas de Aquacate. I have been in search of the perfect mole in Mexico and this dish brings it ! If you are in CDMX- GO you will not regret it.

Very artsy mushroom-based Mexican-Japanese fusion concept with really amazing flavors. We started with the corn dumplings and the tofu skewers - the tofu was beautifully fried and came marinated in the most delicately tangy sauce I have ever had. Then, we had the mole negro, the avocado tostada, the corn and dumplings ramen, and the spicy tantanmen. The mole was phenomenal - robustly spicy and chocolatey. The tantanmen was dominated by the flavor of charred mushrooms, which was yummy but lacked the tanginess I was hoping for. Dessert was great, a mochi filled with dark-chocolate and orange ice cream. My cocktail was a great addition, you must try the Sangre de la Montaña if you like mezcal! A really amazing place unmatched by any restaurant I have been to before.

The best vegan food I've had. The variety of the unique dishes they made with mushrooms were delicious and the servers were delightful. The place is owned by a woman who paved her own way and reading her story on the menu is very inspiring. Sitting on the patio with the cute lights at night was very nice.

If you're vegan (or not), you 100% need to go here. This is a must in CDMX. We went for dinner and ordered several different tacos, a tostada, an empanada and the elotes (skip the elotes, not my favorite). Everything was super hot and fresh tasting. The best items by far were the fish tostada and the kimchi taco! It's unreal how they make the mushrooms so meaty and in other dishes so fishy in terms of texture and taste. While the space is nice enough, it's not really a vibe in there, so don't expect to want to hang out there for hours while you're eating.

I had a decent snack here, but the server was so arrogant it put me off ever coming back - and that's saying something, because I really like to support vegan restaurants (hence the extra star). Luckily there is no shortage of friendly, delicious vegan restaurants elsewhere in CDMX!

All vegan restaurant (uses mushrooms instead of meat). Suuuuuuper slow service. The wait for the food to come out was unforgivably long. The food was just ok. They tried to be creative in mixing Mexican and Asian flavors, but everything was very greasy. If you're not a fan of mushrooms (like me), avoid the "meat" like stuff. The guacamole was good; but not overly impressed by anything else. Our server was nice

Los Loosers was one of my favorite places in CDMX on this trip. The staff are friendly and speak English. The menu doesn't include a ton of description -- just the name of the item so you have to ask the server for details about the dish (it would be great if they would add a description for the ramen dishes, for example). The meals I had at Los Loosers were delicious - a bit pricy by CDMX standards but compared to what I would pay back home? Amazing bargains for delicious, quality food. On Christmas Eve, I had ramen noodles with mushroom gravy and a dollop of mashed potatoes -- it was way better than I expected! The other ramen dish I tried was the one that they claimed was the spiciest (it wasn't really spicy, IMO) and it was very delicious with a great balance of flavors. The tempura avocado croquettes are also delicious!

Very flavorful ramen bowls. TanTan and MB were full of delicious bits of mushrooms, tofu, 1/2 tomatoes and bok choy as well as nori sheets. Both were served piping hot, very tasty and filling. In fact, we would have preferred a bit more water in the broths to tone down the taste. Had the limonada with coconut water and chia seeds. Had a very refreshing, interesting slightly salty taste. I liked it but hubby did not. Prices are rather high compared to other eateries but service was excellent and friendly.

I never leave low reviews like this but wow this place was not good at all. I came in last week for dinner and 6 out of the 7 in my group did not like what they ordered. I don't recall everything we ordered but for sure the three mini tacos that look like pizza Tostitos were horrible and overpriced. The only thing I enjoyed was the cold cafe de olla. This place is trendy but I wouldn't come back. My wife ordered the Mexican kimchi ramen and the noddles tasted like they were from a cup of noodles packet. I don't recall what I ordered but it had mole sauce on it and sounded great on the menu but wow. I took 1 chew and it was hard to swallow. The flavors were terrible. To be completely transparent, I'm not a full-time Vegan. I try to eat vegan/vegetarian options 3-5 meals a week. So maybe that is where my review goes a different taste path than yours. The location isn't bad. Not too big inside but it works.

The concept is great but being in a city that has such good vegan food left me wanting more from the bland items here recommended by the server.

I feel compelled to write a mostly negative review for this place, not because the service was bad (it was--an unfortunate mix of honest mistakes, incompetence, and condescension), but because I want to vote against this vision of vegan food. I like mushrooms as much as the next guy, but is it really necessary to build a whole cuisine around them? It's austere, expensive, and mostly tasteless. Is it really so bad to have some seitan and tempeh on a menu? Something--anything--with protein? I've been seeing this kind of bougie-forager vegan restaurant more and more, and it bums me out because it's pretentious. My feeling is that it keeps people away from veganism, and for me it certainly sucks a lot of the joy out of a sub-culture I otherwise really love. Still giving it a few stars because (1) I'm not a full-time vegan, so I'm not sure it's my place to go whole hog against this place; and (2) because I'm just not going to put *any* vegan restaurant totally on blast like that. But still, why not save yourself a few pesos and eat something really delicious at Por Siempre Vegana?

The food was amazing, some of the best vegan tacos around!! As a Vegan I love the idea of being able to avoid processed foods and eating nothing but naturally prepared meals.. I can't help but roll my eyes at the review where the guy was complaining that they wouldn't let his dogs into the restaurant... Unbelievable how entitled some people can be. Ok before I go on a rant, also try the agua chile! It was amazing. Thank you to Brian for all the amazing recommendations!!

My favorite vegan restaurant in CDMX, by FAR! I would eat there everyday if I could! Amazing food, excellent flavors, unique and authentic recipes. I wish the restaurant had a larger staff because it takes a while to get your meal, but other than that, it's the best, hands down! They usually have a ramen option that always looks incredible. I stick to what is traditionally Mexican. The menu changes constantly, as to what is fresh that day! Love that! So happy that they are always busy, I hope they are around for forever!!!

Everything about this place is perfect. The service is the best I've had in any place I've travelled, food is made from scratch (so delicious), and ambiance is relaxed making this spot simply unforgettable. I had my first meal in Mexico City here and so glad I came back for my last one here as well. I had both tacos that were on the December specials menu and the flan and was completely blown away by the presentation and quality of the food. You can tell that everyone that works there tries really hard to emphasize the details so that it's a pleasant dining experience. This place is an undoubtable 10 out of 10 stars and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Great service, my waiter was super patient and helpful even with my abysmal Spanish. I got the ramen and it was delicious. I was super satisfied. The "water of the day" was also delicious. I wish I'd come with friends so I could have sampled more things, I had such a hard time choosing from the menu because everything sounded so good! This was pricier than most other places I ate in CDMX but still fairly cheap compared to what I'm used to in NYC.

This was SO good! I highly recommend the Omakase de todo, which had a taste of seven dishes, all unique and delicious! It is sort of like getting a tasting menu for under 300 pesos, and it just all comes out at once. Each one was about two bites worth, and the variety was really fun. It could make a nice meal for one, but my husband and I shared this and also got a ramen, which was unique and also really tasty... and everything being served around us looked good also. Nice friendly service, and some spoke English. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a meatless meal! The stools at the bar were a bit on the uncomfortable side, so snag a table if you don't mind waiting for one. It's pretty small so I'd avoid big groups, especially during peak hours. Ok, craving their food already, need to head back!

I am not a vegan but my wife is and was excited to come to this place. I had my reservations and was hoping to find a compromise place but we were both hungry and after seeing they had wine I agreed. The wine was okay but the food was extremely rich and seemed to have lots of mushrooms and cilantro. I hate mushrooms but like cilantro but I think I have corrupted my wife in seeing the dark side of mushrooms. My food was okay but she hated everything from the start. The guacamole was very lemony. The salsa was disappointing and the waiter was not too interested in us. The wine I ordered was okay and after one glass the waiter was going to bring me another glass but forgot but proceeded to charge me for it. Just an all around bad time....less than mediocre food, bad service and a bad taste in my mouth both figuratively and in reality.

Very cute restaurant with great service and excellent food. I had the Pan de Muerto burger which was delicious and unique. My husband had what he recalls as a "masa boat thing" that he assures me was very tasty. We are sad we didn't get a chance to come back and try the ramen, but next time we are in CDMX we will!

Hands down the best vegan restaurant I have ever been. Ambiance is hipster without prevention, service is friendly and fast and the food! My Goddess the food! Everything was heavenly. They didn't have the noodles when I went but te Mexican dishes made up for it. Just try it even if you eat animals

Came here for the ramen & it was pretty tasty. Presentation of food was excellent and the ambiance of the restaurant is super zen. They are also a plastic free restaurant; which was super impressive when they offered to give me a cup and throw out my plastic water bottle. It is a tad bit pricey compared to other vegan spots i've hit in Mexico City nonetheless their flavors are yummy. The waitress was dope too very patient and attentive to all my questions pertaining to menu. Also, they have churros made of corn that are phenomenal.

Complex, well though out, fresh, clean Vegan cuisine in the heart of CDMX. Sunday, after a long day at the Zocolo, our family headed over to Los Loosers. I bookmarked this spot before our trip and all my peeps in CDMX raves about the restaurant. After a 30-40 minute wait, which we never do but REALLY wanted to eat here, we were seated at a great table near the back. Los Loosers is very small but not uncomfortable by any means. Food 8 out of 10. Taco Omakase was great! Enjoyed the heat of the Jalapeño with seeds. Fire! Apps were really nice. Elote, not my fave. The corn husk was huge, and not in a good way. Service 10 out of 10 They ran out of Mezcal! C'mon guys, that's not good. Overall 5 Stars and I wish them continued success.

Hello, Deliciousness! The service is great and the staff all spoke English, willing to take their time to explain the menu to us as we don't read Spanish! That was beyond appreciated. We got three small plates, and a Habanero Coconut Curry "ramen" (don't go expecting traditional ramen - go for the Mexican-Asian spin which works so well!) as well as two different types of aqua frescas. Do yourself a favour and get their horchata - divine! I got the Japanese gyoza with green sauce which was decent, but I could have easily swapped it out for something with better flavour and not missed it. The tacos, almond cream and cheeses, and mole sauce were great though! I honestly loved the ramen, but they don't let you take away so I had to leave my leftovers behind. Which made me really sad. They say it's to reduce waste, but I feel like if you're coming here, you're pretty mindful of that stuff anyhow - perhaps not. Plus, it would have been nice to pass it to someone living on the street who could use a meal. We got a reservation last minute and went early in the evening so they weren't packed. Don't go expecting Mexican food or straight-laced Asian (or even one type of Asian). Just go and eat and enjoy!

Food is amazing! It's a tiny little restaurant that's a mix of Japanese and Mexican good. All the food is a funky mix of ingredients that sound a bit unique and end up being incredible. Would 100% go back. Dinner for2 including drinks and dessert was about $40.

I loved the variety of vegan food!!! So many good options! Now some of the sandwiches were just too much. Very flavorful but a lot of food and a lot of different food.

ramen was decent, broth a little bland for my liking (i added a TON of spicy sauce). athe mushrooms in the ramen were huge servers took 15 minutes to greet me and took forever to come over and check on me - I arrived at 8PM and the rush had died down by then. The portion was huge! i asked for a container to take the rest home, but they said they didn't have any to-go containers.

Pros: Decor was nice and Asian Mexican fusion is a great concept. Servers are kind and the kimchi soba noodles were delicious. Cons: service was very slow, each persons food came out at different times, there was a mistake on our bill, and the spicy wontons were bland despite the menus warning that they are very spicy. Overall good but I wouldn't come back soon.

This was one of my favorite food stops in CDMX. I particularly enjoyed the Kimchi taco which had some wonderful smoky flavors going on. They also had a faux-meat taco that was delicious and seemed like the real thing. The restaurant has a nice intimate ambiance that would be equally good place to stop by with a couple friends or with a date - there are some two-person tables and a long central table that accommodates a larger group. Will go again next time I'm in town

This place is great my first time coming to Mexico City and I love this place for vegan food. I love the mix of Spanish and Asian cuisine at a great price. Staff is super friendly and it's very intimate and small. The owner is a young woman who worked hard to open this beautiful little restaurant. They truly care about vegan food and where they source their products. Food is yummy and the portions are big. Would def come back! Would recommend the noodles and carne tacos! No meat here all goood vegan vibes.

After eating our way through Mexico City and Puebla for an entire week (and at the likes of Pujol and El Mural), this hip little mexican-asian fusion joint ranked among our favorites. Bold flavor, creativity, extremely helpful (and English-speaking) staff, and good vibes bouncing off the walls make this a must-visit. The menu was a little intimidating, but our waitress pointed us to her favorites and we were not disappointed. Standouts include the taco con chile capeado, the guacamole, and the gyoza.

Went to this place around 7pm the place is supposed to open from 4-9:30pm but we were greeted by host telling us they had no more food, i guess they only use fresh food and they ran out

This is my favorite place in Mexico City. The food is always good, the flavors, textures, everything. Is kind of hipster / trendy place. I think was a little better when they have a small menu, now they have so many options and is difficult to choose. And the service sometimes is a bit slow. The best vegan ramen I've eaten is in Los Loosers, Tan tan ramen my favorite. Is a little expensive, yes, but I understand they make the whole process, the tortillas, the cheese, noodles, etc, so it's worth it.

It's one of the best vegan places in Mexico City, my favorite one and I'm a local. I love the variety, but specially the Ramen. Too bad can't find the with ubereats. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow and they take all cards except Amex.

This place was a good vegan find in Mexico City but a very odd mix of a menu. Half ramen, half Mexican a little Korean thrown in for variety I guess? The ramen was good but a very loose interpretation of the dish. Definitely go with a open mind and go for vegan, DO NOT go expecting anything resembling a traditional ramen experience .. The service was slow, but they had only two girls working a pretty full restaurant. We ordered five dishes, but we were full after two so when the others took ages to arrive we cancelled them. From our waitresses reaction to my request to cancel, I don't think they had even started making them. So win win I guess unless we had actually still been hungry.... I did mean to make a return visit but there were just too many things to try in CDMX

Love it! Our first CDMX restaurant and we are off to a great start. We are very health conscious eaters and our mostly vegetarian. This place may not have a ton of reviews or be the most popular but I can't imagine being dissapointed. I recommend the Omakase De Todo and the Tan Tan Mexican style ramen. The Omakase meal was cheap (under $15) and included 7 small dishes and sauce and limes. It would be easy to split with one other person as most items are a couple normal bites. I can't even list off the items but they were all good, Mexican inspired and had an explosion of smoky, spicy and deep flavors. The ramen didn't dissapoint either as it was creamy and super flavorful for a vegan broth. Some people may miss the meat but these dishes have so much taste I think this restaurant is worth a try for anyone! You can easily eat for around $30 and be full.

This was one of the most interesting and best meals We had in Mexico City. My partner is vegetarian and I'm a meat eater. We tried two tacos, one tostada and a soba noodle dish. All were excellent. Though I would highly recommend the tostada de ceviche and the parillada mazesoba, which was really a great fusion dish. The taco al pastor was really nice. And the taco de encebelloado de cardo was like a mini chile relleno on a taco and was really good. Honestly this is incredibly unique, but is not just interesting but delicious.
