Family‑owned and praised for weekend pozole and bold, house salsas. The Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau singled out Los Pastores for its punchy salsa, and regulars come early for breakfast plates and handmade tortillas.

I went for breakfast with my family. It was my first time. The server brought us chips and salsa and wow that was so good. I ate all of the chips and I ordered the Super Burrito. My meal was delicious and the chicken in my burrito tasted good. It tasted real unlike other places with fake tasting chicken. They have sauces you can put on your dish and that was also very spicy but delicious. Overall I’d recommend this restaurant. I will be back again.

Google
Food was amazing, we got the taco Tuesday special. The meat was tender and delicious and the service was quick, polite and professional. I definitely recommend this place

Google
Very authentic and tasty. My favorite is the guisado de puerco. It has a wonderful taste. The meat was alittle tough once but still my favorite. Their salsa has a good flavor, not too hot. They seem to stay busy, so that's a great sign of great food.

Google
We eat here on the regular, really nice salsa, great coffee, the breakfast tacos, omelettes and fried bread are awesome. The service and staff are top notch and always happy to see us. They serve pozole on the weekends which is the perfect comfort food after a long night out. Try the Quesabirra it's amazing !

Google
Me and my family wen to go eat here and put in mind first time customers and sorry to say but the food was NOT good at all. My milanesa was sooo greasy and not only that but it was burnt and hard to cut so I only at the rice and beans since I was hungry. My daughter ordered chilaquiles and the green sauce was very acidy and did not have a good tastes so we asked for another plate just of eggs and we told her we did not like the food but did not bother to take it and left the plate there. The waitress saw we did not touch our plates and did not have a concern about it. When it was time to pay she STILL charged us our plates even though she knew we complained and all food was there. I paid but WILL NOT RETURN here.

Google
Stopped in for dinner with friend. I love that they make their tortillas in house and offer free refills! The beef enchilada, tamale, steak burrito, and tacos (lengua , barbacoa and steak) were what I got with rice and beans. The steak tacos were dry and chewy with little flavor, the lengua and barbacoa were decent. The beans also are made with pork so beware if you are allergic (substitutions are available). Overall we had a pleasant experience as service was fantastic. Would return to try more on the menu.

Google
Mom-and-pop places are always my favorite, and this one did not disappoint! The food tasted genuinely homemade—fresh, flavorful, and comforting. You can tell it’s made with love.

Google
It was amazing! First time and won't be my last. Everyone was so sweet and the food was A1! I got Pozole and it was amazing!

Yelp
Been coming here since i was a little girl, I loveeee their menudo, staff is so friendly, and the restaurant is always clean and tidy. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for REAL authentic Mexican food!!

Yelp
Well, they're known for their great desserts, which are wonderful and the food I found was rather lacking in flavor and kind of dry. It's worth another shot. I've been there a couple of times, but not worth it in the long run.
google avatar

Marco R.

Yelp
I been here before. I came for the best pozole in town. This restaurant is also known for the best Tres Leches cake in town. Today, unfortunately, the pozole had 4 chunks of meat with a big bowl of hominy (75% hominy). Someone owes me some meat. Service was a little slow because waitress was also selling cakes. Ambiance was clean an simple.

Yelp
This is definitely a hidden gem in the heart of Arlington. Authentic Mexican food. I can definitely taste the love that is put in the food. It's a cozy place to come and enjoy great food. The staff is wholesome and kind. The chips are seriously the best I had. Do yourself a favor and try this place.
google avatar

Amber G.

Yelp
Friendly staff & delicious food. Warm chips and cold salsa as soon as you sit down. Ordered the taco Tuesday special; barbacoa was the best I've had in a while (less greasy, yet flavorful), pastor and chicken were also yummy.
google avatar

Jafet E.

Yelp
Tacos were really good. Waited a long time for them even though I called 20 minutes before I got there.

Jesaias B.

Yelp
Great food and service always feel at home ! Delicious flavors and generous portions !
google avatar

Yelp
Liked this place but sadly dislike they charge for extra basket of chips, dislike restaurants that do not offer fountain drinks, you have to buy cans of soda here....this is how they make their money by charging for all the extras. I had the guiso de res it was good I really loved the flour tortillas but they only give you 2-3 flour tortillas so obviously you have to order "extras" and pay for the extras!

Yelp
The outside of this restaurant may not look too fancy but the food inside is so good. This is such a affordable and delicious place to get authentic Mexican tacos. We came with a small group of six on a weekend evening, and I knew it was going to be good when there were multiple types of salsas in little pouring containers to go with our chips. Our server was very sweet and accommodating. Food came out at a reasonable pace. Tacos were amazing (see photos). They also had quesabirria so I had to give that a try. Barbacoa tacos were also amazing. Meat was very tender, well flavored. The consommé with the quesabirria was full of flavor, without being too greasy. Of course, there are onions and cilantro, with all the tacos so that should tell you something about the authenticity. I'm sure the other things on the menu are also delicious, we will definitely be back to try some more food!
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty good. They have full cakes you can purchase! There's several different kinds in their fridge to choose from. Extra tortilla chips is extra! Bistek was pretty decent. I like it with a little less tomatoes, but it's not terrible. Green salsa has a nice kick to it which I enjoy. Beef fajitas comes with generous amount of meat. Was not chewy. Perfect amount of charred and flavor. Rice was drier than I prefer. Even though they don't close til 9, they started cleaning at 8, i got here around 730. They started mopping with Pine sol, so the smell was very overwhelming while trying to eat.

Yelp
So...I was the whitest person in this place. So you know it's gotta be good. The service was outstanding. Very friendly. But the food was beyond. From the chips, which were light and airy to the bistek it was out of this world. The wife had carnitas which were pretty damn good. Next time I will try the pork pastores as that look pretty good too. If you are out and about on this side of town it is a must try in my book!!

Yelp
Some of the best Mexican food in Arlington. I come here now instead of papasitos. Menu has the basics plus. Best chicken nachos I ever ate. Good enchiladas and tamales. Good breakfast foods. And the best and most friendly service you could ask for. Zero communication issues. Fast service at dinner Try it out Muy Pronto!!!

Arthur C.

Yelp
Always has the best food and service.!! My entire family has been eating here for years.!

Daniel M.

Yelp
If I could give 0 stars I would. Horrendous food, there was a hair in my torta. Not only inside of it but almost ingrained in it as if it were a part of it. This should not be allowed at all. Horrible hygiene.
google avatar

Monique H.

Yelp
We had the best Mexican food I've had in a very long time here. Thanks to Yelp we found this gem of a restaurant. Family owned for 30 years is what they told us. I ordered the Al pastor plate and it was delicious. Their tortillas (wheat and corn) are homemade. The green sauce is spicy and packed with flavor. My fiancé had their chorizo and egg breakfast plate. Everything was from the food to the service was great. I'd love to try their menudo. They were already out by 11am on Sunday. We will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Ruby B.

Yelp
Let me start with customer service that was excellent, lady who took order and the lady who brought food very nice. I order camarones rancheros, the rice was good the salad with avocado was good and the shrimp were good but the salsa was a bit too tomato but still good. My daughter ask for chilaquiles and those were not edible to be honest. They don't come with eggs or meat, you have to add those extra charge and the point is that the green sauce on the food was extremely sour and acidic, it tasted like lime. Overall the place is pretty old, and the food less than memorable for us to come back. Nice ladies in the kitchen tho....
google avatar

Yelp
First time here and hands down the most amazing Mexican resteraunt in Arlington. The menudo was excellent. Breakfast tacos are on point. Service was excellent. The ambiance of the place really sets an authentic mood. Great coffee and tea. They really take pride in their food and service

Lori M.

Yelp
food was ok but service was ridiculous I had to go order our food at the register and nobody came and checked on us once not until I told them I was writing a review then they wana act like they care we was here about 45 mins I was out of drink the man guy brings our tab and just sets our ticket down and doesn't speak or ask if we needed anything worst place ever for customer service

Alondra S.

Yelp
Came in today for shrimp cocktail, and I got to say it was pretty bland. However they do have a pretty decent menu so I'll be coming back to try something else. Chips and salsa by far some of the best I've had. Servers were attentive and quick. & overall the place is neat and clean which I appreciate
google avatar

Emet D.

Yelp
Was decent wasn't the best or worst tacos I've had. The beef was good, pastor was a bit better but didn't have any pineapple which I normally like, average in my book. The fajita beef was kind of gamey but with the salsa it helped counter that flavor. They have my fav light green creamy salsa that had some heat but not as spicy as most other local taco spots. Their red salsa was those with not much flavor and more of a roast pepper taste. Also not as spicy as the green salsa. So if you can't handle the heat this is the spot. They also have a normal salsa for chips that have no heat at all. Avocado is good, average quality and so were chips, i liked their breakfasts tacos (doesn't come with cheese) the most but wish they put in more chorizo since I tasted mostly eggs.

Yelp
Straight up good Mexican food! I had the relleno plate, my brother had the tamales and my mom sone chicken tacos. Everything was super-good and the tortillas were very fresh and yummy. I'll be back!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is amazing! We were driving and wanted some authentic Mexican food. My husband stopped at this place here and we went and sat down to eat and we were not disappointed.. the food is reasonably priced and so good. We didn't wait long for the food to Come out and everyone was so nice, it was clean and a quiet environment. It's our new spot, we eaten here about 4 times and everything is always fresh and cooked perfectly.
google avatar

John Q.

Yelp
Wow. We had the privilege of eating lunch here today and WE LOVED the FOOD, the SERVICE, and the kindness. EliZabeth and Homero were just tremendous and reflected so well on the Mexican Food Restaurant. We had the Enchiladas and from the wonderful taste to the great service we couldn't have been more impressed. We will return, and return, and return. Thanks again for the great lunch. Dr John and Karan Quincy

Yelp
Really solid Mexican tacos with pretty authentic flavors. My favorites for the tacos were the lengua and al pastor. All the meat was juicy and had a ton of flavor. I had 5 tacos and felt stuffed (I tend to eat a lot). So go for around 3 - 4 tacos on average. Their red and green sauce are both phenomenal. Warning, the green sauce is real spicy! Has a ton of kick.
google avatar

Javery M.

Yelp
Good was great, the meat was not smothered in grease which is a good thing but the customer service I received while picking up my order was not pleasant. The gentlemen that rung up my order was rude. And when asked if for the little bit that I got was really $33 he just says because of the virus the cost went up. Menus with changed prices should be available.
google avatar

Patty J.

Yelp
Tacos a delicious. I had the chicken corn tacos and it was great:) You should come and try there tacos and fresh tres letches cake!!
google avatar

Jonathan E.

Yelp
Pretty just so so for me. Pricing was excellent with the place being clean and tidy. They do make cakes and have several tres leches cakes in three different sizes for sale. Also their tortillas are homemade so that was tasty. I went with a chille relleno (cheese is the only option) and double rice, no beans. The relleno came out with no sauce on it, just bare and sad looking. Flavor wise it was very bland. I tried a bite of the beans and a bite of beef enchilada. Both again were bland tasting. If your looking for some Mexican food at a really good price, try this place out, you may like it better then I did. P.S. the smallest cake started @ $26 and pricing just went up from there. The largest was close to $50.

Yelp
Best street tacos ever and priced right this is only the second time I've written a review ! And this place is over the top good from the chips and in-house made salsa , in-house made tortillas , the Tamale plate is great too , just can't say enough good things about this place and the food and the portions , and I'm more of a critic than an brownie point giver ! So take it to the bank !! This place is the best !!! Not kidding!
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
This was a decent place, it seems family owned and fresh to made orders and the staff was nice. I ordered the beef enchiladas with rice and beans. One of my pet peeves in bean ordering is when they leave whole beans in your refried beans, just blend it for a few minutes to make it nice and smooth, the flavor was pretty decent though. The enchiladas were good, nothing I would rave about, but definitely a unique flavor. I did feel however that the rice lacked a little flavor. I would give 0 starts to the queso, also known as stadium canned cheese, very disappointing. Overall it wasn't terrible, but not a favorite for sure.

Yelp
I've just recently moved to Texas from Ca and I always like to find that one spot that has that homey feel to it and great food. It's taken me a few months but once I've landed here at Los Pastores I've found that spot. My favorite menu item here is the Menudo. Remember when you'd wake up on Sunday and couldn't wait to visit your Abuelita for that Sunday bowl of Menudo. Well if your familia is far away like mine, this is the only thing that can compare to it. Being here so often when I walk in before I even get seated they know what I'll be ordering and will have my chip n salsa, Mexican coke ready and menudo on my table in 10-15 minutes. There are so many more items on the menu I can ya all about but it's the family environment that keeps me coming back.
google avatar

Sarita G.

Yelp
First Chips we're cold, second batch was better. Ordered two orders of barbacoa tacos on corn and house tortillas no onions with a side of avacado were super good. Chilaquiles plate really delicious. Server was very helpful.
google avatar

Anye S.

Yelp
Yelp's rating is pretty much right on the money here *at the time of this writing. A solid 4-stars. We went for breakfast without huge expectations and each got a good sized plate of tasty migas, refried beans, and pan fried potatoes for under $7. The food came out pretty quickly but we did have time to chow down on a basket of corn chips first. I was a little surprised there were no flour tortillas with the meal, but I don't mind as I'm cutting back anyway. The place was pretty busy for Sunday late breakfast. I was hoping they would have pastries but as far as bakery goes, it is primarily cakes. I took a slice of tres leches home for later, and was actually surprised that it was dry. I saw Tiffany D's review say it was drenched (which I normally expect tres leches to be) but mine was quite literally dry. It tasted like pound cake with fruit cocktail in it and whipped cream frosting. The pound cake was very good, but I hesitate to call it a tres leches when it had no leches. We did enjoy breakfast though and the prices can't be beat, so we'll be back.
google avatar

Alycia H.

Yelp
This place is great! The did is absolutely AMAZING! Small mom and pop place that is guaranteed to exceed your expectations. We run in several times a month and grab tacos to go...I have never had a bad experience and their food is always fresh!
google avatar

Alondra B.

Yelp
The food was not seasoned, the meat was dry and it was mostly fat. the waitress was not very attentive, we asked for limes and she never gave it to us. she continued to walk around as we told her if we can have limes and she said yes. But again she did not bring them. Horrible service and the food was just to dry.
google avatar

Larry S.

Yelp
This place is great. Service top-notch and friendly. Food very tasty - chips & salsa are VERY good. Chips are above average, but the salsa served with them is A+. They give you your own little serving pitcher so you can refill for yourself. And it tastes great - just the right amount of tomato/jalapeno/cilantro/heat mix. I bought some to take home. The reason for only 4 stars? I had the barbacoa and the meat was a little TOO fatty, & overall was too salty. The re-fried beans contain some "unsmashed" pinto beans, which is a great touch I have never seen before. I'm definitely going back to this place, only a 8-minute drive from mi casa. Bueno!!
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
Had the flautas plate because I was craving an order of three rolled tacos So Cal style but the guacamole wasn't fresh and the tortillas weren't rolled tight enough. I know So Cal style rolled tacos is a tall order in Texas but my craving was pretty intense. The beans and rice were on point though!

Javier M.

Yelp
I call too ask them a question an they just hang up right away.an they have bad service
google avatar

Rahul P.

Yelp
Omg I love this place. I can't even stress it! THEY ARE KNOWN FOR THEIR BREAKFAST TACOS. I always get their egg, potato, and cheese breakfast taco. Literally so delicious. When you dine-in they give you chips and salsa. Definitely ask for their green sauce because it completes the taco, I also add their green sauce into my salsa YUM. It's a fairly small place and it looks a little sketch from the outside but the food is amazing, you won't want to Los PASStores this one!

Orlanda C.

Yelp
Been coming here for 10+ yrs , food is always amazing , servers are always on it!! Great customer service and let's not talk about the food ! I don't eat my green enchiladas anywhere but here and their agua de jamaica is by far the best because its not too sweet but not unfavorable. Recommendations : Tacos plate de Asada ( homemade tortillas ) , the super quesadilla , chicken enchiladas with two sunny side eggs on top and avocado or Green chilaquiles with sunny side eggs on top with avocado . Definitely authentic Mexican food !
google avatar

Jenny N.

Yelp
Pastor tacos are sooooo good!! Very juicy and flavorful. It's probably one of the best tacos I've had by far.
google avatar

Tiffany D.

Yelp
I've been here a few times for their tres leches cake. It's sooo yummy. The cake is amazingly light and fluffy yet somewhat drenched in milky goodness. I love that the staff will translate almost anything for me to decorate my cake. Their flan is also pretty amazing. Not too sweet and amazingly rich and creamy. I wonder if adding a brûlée crust would make it even more amazing. For those two items alone, the joint deserves 5 stars but their food knocks it down to 3. The other night, I ordered the combination fajita and my mom got the shrimp diablo. The first batch of tortillas were a little hard and crunchy which was a little off putting but the second batch came out nice and soft. I don't know why they were a little inconsistent with their tortillas. They advertised fresh tortillas so I don't know what happened there. The fajita was pretty good if eaten quickly, the meat got a little dry towards the middle of my meal. Their salsa is fierce. It really does have a nice kick to it. I think this place is lunch/breakfast kinda of place because it was pretty dead around 6pm. I want to try their breakfast menu. It's cheap and the portions looked huge.
google avatar

Conchita A.

Yelp
Warm chips, and spicy salsa...need I say more! Came here for lunch with my folks. Ordered 1 parillada for them, which is a combo plate of beef, chicken, sausage and shrimp. Came with rice, beans, guacamole, salad and pico de gallo. I ordered the Gorditas Mixtas that also came with rice, beans, salad and pico de gallo. Everything was delicious! Tons of food for little money. The Gorditas were home made. One was filled with spicy beef and one with spicy pork. I was so full from eating the warm chips and salsa that I could only eat the beef gordita...I'll have the pork one for dinner. The beans and rice were perfection! As for the parillada...it was very good except that the shrimp were overly cooked and a bit dry. Probably because it comes on a hot plate and the food continues to cook as it sits at your table. I must say that the flavors were spot on! Not too spicy, just right. Next time I'm coming in the evening to order a beer with my food. That would be the only thing that was missing from my meal today!
google avatar

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Los Pastores is a restaurant that I've driven by a thousand times but never patronized. Today I decided to try it out and it definitely met my expectations. Like many restaurants, Los Pastores has pretty good lunch specials. Enchiladas are a favorite of mine, so I chose the enchilada plate lunch special. The chicken enchiladas were the best I've ever had. Chicken enchiladas can be hit or miss as far as I'm concerned. The enchilada plate only comes with two enchiladas but between the complimentary chips and salsa and my meal I was stuffed at the end. Everyone says their breakfast is awesome so I will have to come back and try them another day for breakfast. The bakery looked like it had some delicious cakes and flan as well. The variety of food here is really good and there is definitely something for everybody.
google avatar

Celeste A.

Yelp
I have been here like four times now. I think they make the best soft tacos around, get the pastor, and you won't be sorry. Tacos come with cilantro, onions, and lime wedges. I honestly don't know how Taco Cabana or Taco Bueno can compete with real deal tacos for cheaper right down the street. I had a Bistek dinner special last Tuesday that was amazing. beef tips with peppers and onions, in a spicy sauce, a huge amount of beans and rice, for roughly 8 bucks. I couldn't eat it all and I am a big eater. They do wedding cakes, birthday cakes, and have a whole case dedicated to tres leche cake. I tried the tres leche cake and found it to be the best I have ever tried. You can watch Mexican soap operas while you eat if you so choose. Its very laid back, casual atmosphere.I was a little intimidated by the bars on the door the first time I went in, but I'm glad I got past the momentary fear. The inside was sunny whites and yellows and happy pinatas and friendly staff.
google avatar

Gabby M.

Yelp
They have the best tres leches cakes, and they have good prices. You are definitely missing out if you haven't had one.
google avatar

Ally N.

Yelp
Definitely a place that stands out when it comes to authentic street tacos here in Arlington, plus it's cheaper! $1.25 per taco. I always order the barbacoa and it's pretty decent. There are complementary chips and salsa if you dine in too! I haven't tried the other entrees, but my friends didn't really like it as much. The people here are friendly! I wouldn't recommend going here if you were in a rush though, it takes quite a bit of time to get the food out every time.
google avatar

Kirk D.

Yelp
Amazing place! Great service, and great tacos. I wish I could have taken a photo of my sons eyes when he bit into the Pastor Tacos. We will definitely frequent!
google avatar

Nora T.

Yelp
Tacos here are amazing. I don't come here for anything else. Complimentary nachos when you come in. Their green thick sauce is the best for tacos. #1 favorite place for street tacos.

Israel N.

Yelp
S/o to Homero for his amazing service! The food was incredible. The parrillada will have your mouth watering. 10/10 bring your family and friends for the best Mexican food in Arlington
