First time here and we LOVE IT great service food was delicious and hot. Didn't take long to get our food. It was not packed but I'm glad because our experience was really nice. We will definitely be coming back. We had filete pescado n beef fajitas. Very juicy and tender. It was like 1/2 a pound of fajita on the plate. Was nice to see meat on the plate not just onions like other places do ..My lemonade was so good it tasted fresh! My compliments to everyone! From the cook to the waitress to the owners 😉

All of the food was delicious!! Ordered several things to try— The tortas, the tacos, the chille relleno, the salsas, all were so so good. Grab some empanadas de piña from the panaderia next door!

Google
Delicious food and great service! We went looking for pan dulce (sweet bread) in the morning and found the sister store next door. Our family enjoyed the pan (bread) so much we thought we'd try the restaurant. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious. Definitely going to have to go back!

I went to eat some tacos during lunchtime! It was empty during that time but the waitress was on it. She brought us chips and salsa right away. The tacos were okay. I have had some better tacos before but these weren't bad at all. The food took less than 8 minutes. She checked on us every 10 minutes and was very kind. Overall, I would recommend this place, it was nice and comfy, and the staff was very kind.

Best Barbacoa I have tried in DFW. The Torta Hawaiiana had me wishing I could have a bigger stomach. Complemented with a Strawberry Lemonade my meal was perfect. Atmosphere is great, definitely coming back.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were not immediately greeted and were unaware as to seating oneself. However once we were greeted, chips and Salsa were brought out immediately. Water and sweet tea were our drink choices. We asked a few questions about the menu and we decided on the Caldo de Res for Mom and the Parrillada for me. Both were exceptional choices! The Caldo was meaty with a wonderful blend of veggies and plenty of broth. The portion was tremendous and it came with homemade corn tortillas. The Parillada was also a generous serving if beef, chicken, shrimp and sausage. It was served sizzling on a hot skillet with a blend of green and red bell peppers and sautéed onions. The sides were also delicious. Rice, refried beans, guacamole, Pico de gallo and sour cream on top of a bed of lettuce. The service was sufficient but a check back on drinks would have been appreciated. All in all, this place is outstanding! Definitely gonna come back and enjoy another perfectly made dinner.

Yelp
Let me start with the service--horrible. Just horrible. I was left standing outside the takeout window for 10 minutes before the employee even acknowledged me. I clearly stated my order, and she repeated it back word for word--just to ask me two more times what I wanted. Mind you, I spoke to her in Spanish, so there shouldn't have been any confusion. It took 20 minutes to get two gorditas and one burrito. And what did I end up with? A Mexican hot pocket. The burrito and gorditas had nothing but meat--no beans, no lettuce, nothing. Just dry, flavorless meat. It was the driest food I've had since my ex-mother-in-law's cooking.

Yelp
Service was amazing! They are bilingual and were very professional. Went to the bathroom and it was clean and stocked up. I ordered a small Menudo with Hamony. It such a great comfort food and the Flour tortillas were great and warm. Overall I will for sure recommend!

Yelp
Tacos here are very delicious. I usually get the bistek or pastor tacos and they never let me down.

Tina G.

Yelp
Menudo was chewy & had a weird smell. Lengua tacos were dry & had no flavor. The only decent thing was the home made tortillas. Prices are high -$6.99 for a small freshly squeezed OJ. Never again!

Yelp
I went to this location because so many have said it was really good. My husband and I love authentic mexican food. First, it was very crowded. The tables are literally right on top of each other. Second, their food was so..so. Not anything amazing and word sharing the word of the the food. I'm going to continue trying to find some authentic good Mexican food.

Yelp
HANDS DOWN, HANDS UP, HANDS ALL AROUND!!!!! These are THE BEST TACOS i've ever had IN MY LIFE!!!!!!! Been here several times and literally order the same thing! Lemonade with Tacos al Pastor! Sooooooo scrumptious and flavorful!!! Wait...let's go back! I got excited! The restaurant is located on Rosedale, sharing a parking lot with their bakery and store! It is easy to miss if you aren't paying attention. It's not a big building but it's brick and full of old world character. They're attached to a check cashing place or money gram place. Don't go in the wrong door! Look for the green entrance light. Walking in there's so much to immediately take in! The aromas, the decor, the ambiance. Very spanish style decor from the tables to the walls! I will say this place isn't bare! They have their accomplishments and awards displayed on the walls as well so that you may also experience a piece of the journey that this family owned restaurant has been thru. Since covid, new menus have been made! Pretty exciting! I didn't even know they had seafood!!!! (menus are useful lol) There has been little improvements with this restaurant that make a big impact! I love it! The staff is always very friendly and prepared for me to come in. I'm African american...I am not fluent in spanish but I do try. The waitresses go back and forth between english and spanish with me and keeps patience with my amateur spanish! (I also has been my fully bilingual fiancé with me, always a plus) They also have a drive thru but if you have a giant truck...just go in and get it because the driveway is incredibly tight and I drive a honda accord! Go to Los Pastores...get some Tacos...okay, or anything on the menu but I suggest starting with the tacos lol! Don't miss out! Take a date here, a friend, whomever just get some good food in your life!!!

Yelp
Never again. Horrible service. Very disrespectful. We made an order online, we got there to pick up our order and she was very rude. Being smart. I asked for green salsa and she said that that wasn't what we had asked for over the phone, even thought it was. I order 2 pounds of fajitas and the cook put 2.1 and she embarrassed him in front of everyone weighing it. Saying that she felt like it weighed way to much. She took the plate back and called the manager. Once they got back she weighed it and it was less than what we paid for. Now that we were preparing our food, coming from the brush that they clean the skillet with, a wire from it feel off and was mixed in with the meet and it was cooked with it as well. With that being said both the inside of my mouth and tongue were severely cut while I was eating.

Yelp
The Barbacoa tacos on flour tortillas are absolutely amazing and delicious! Friendly service with a nice, homey atmosphere.

Yelp
We used to love the food. But they are clearly cutting corners and it shows. The Tres Leches cake had cheap canned fruit, not the mandarin oranges, strawberries and kiwi they used to have, and what we were expecting . I found those nasty grapes like they put in fruit cocktail. I've always hated them and was very unpleasantly surprised to find one in my mouth. They are smart. The fruit used to be on top, now it's hidden in the middle and the top is decorated with chocolate or strawberry swirl. The cake itself tasted fine, but it was ruined by the cost cutter fruit. The guacamole had real avocado, but some sort of mix in it, maybe to keep it green or maybe to stretch it. It didn't taste like regular guacamole. We eat avocados daily and we know the difference. The masa on the chicken tamales was tangy and disappointing. I wanted to take the food back, but my daughter didn't and she paid for it. $25 down the drain. I'm crossing this place off my list of places to go. I've sent friends to this place, but no more. Serve the good food I came for, not this.

Yelp
Best Mex in town! We love the breakfast tacos, chips and salsas, and their chilaquiles. So good, and always good service.

Yelp
Food was perfectly cooked. Very authentic tasting Mexican and for a reasonable price. Definite return. If I had to be critical of anything, I'd say the refried beans were a bit bland. Server at the drive thru was very friendly and courteous!

Steph L.

Yelp
Very rarely have we (hubby & I) found a Mexican restaurant that we've liked so much we've gone back more than once BUT Los Pastores Restaurant changed that for us! We have been back multiple times. Great service, affordable prices, delicious food (flavorful), fresh tortillas, refreshing drinks etc. Most employees speak predominantly Spanish & I always feel embarrassed mispronouncing the menu items but they are kind & attentive as ever & will be patient with you as you order. Each time we have dined in, we are greeted with a smile & leave with full bellies and our own smiles on our faces.

Yelp
The little hidden gem on Rosedale!! This is my favorite go to lunch place as it is right around the corner from my job. I always get the chicken fajita tacos on corn tortillas, with white cheese, green salsa and a large horchata. Out of 5 days a week, I eat here at least 3 times. And that's only because they are closed on Wednesdays! Los Pastores has THE BEST tacos I have ever had and I have an Aunt that is from Monterrey, Mexico!!! I hope she isn't reading this ;) If you want true, authentic Mexican food, this is the only place you should go to! They are a little high if you are on a budget but it is TOTALLY worth it. The employees are always so helpful and nice. I haven't had a bad experience at Los Pastores ever! to Los Pastores, see ya'll at noon!

Yelp
There hasn't been a review of this place for over a year so I'm just dropping this here for the rating. I recommend this restaurant even though I have only been to it a couple of times. The service is good. The food is delicious. The prices are adequate and overall I like this restaurant.

Aaron V.

Yelp
Really bad ceviche was definitely rotten, then when I told our server she tried to argue with me just ended up leaving

Susan P.

Yelp
We just love barbacoa tacos on flour tortillas with onion, cilantro & white fresco cheese so we have been trying out different places to see if we can find some really good ones. I'm so glad we tried Los Pastores!!! Their barbacoa tacos are just awesome and I absolutely love the green sauce too. We certainly will be back for more and may try a few other items we saw on their menu that looked really good as well!!

Fernanda G.

Yelp
Yes it is right in front of their store. There isn't much seating, but These are the best tacos I have had in Fort Worth. The salsas are amazing. The tortas is great. I have had mainly the carne asada. Really good.

April Y.

Yelp
Great breakfast, service, authentic salsas. Warm homemade tasty tortillas. Reasonable $

Chris R.

Yelp
This place has the absolute best authentic Mexican food I've found in Fort Worth. The tacos are absolutely delicious and incredibly reasonably priced; I love the pastor and chicharrones tacos, sooo good. This place always satisfies my Mexican food cravings.
google avatar

Yelp
What I liked about this place was that you can choose your meat or meats and have it made into tacos or burritos or tort as and more. I had a carnitas taco and it was good. You can also buy your meat by the pound. The restaurant has a sister business in the bakery and market next door and their selection of sweet bread (pan dulce) is excellent.

Juanita O.

Yelp
I don't really like any of the food here. Nothing is horrible, but nothing is good. Overall pretty mediocre. A few of the wait staff is genuinely friendly, but some are very rude and "fake" friendly. Price for what you are getting , mediocre Mexican food, is over priced. Also, on to-go orders they've failed to put items I ordered in the bag. On two occasions they also gave me agua de horchata instead of the lemonade I ordered. Needless to say I hate agua de horchata.

Yelp
I like this place, my brother's introduced me to it, price isn't too shabby.. Great specials and very good food with one small exception...the Sour Cream Sauce, not a fan of that at all.. but otherwise everything else was tasty.. :D

Yelp
Loved the barbacoa and pastor in gordita and fresh corn tortilla forms. Also the availability of meats and fresh tortillas(corn and flour) by the pound is wonderful. That and a Jarritos, I was sold. 10/10
google avatar

Erin M.

Yelp
Traditional-style, quality food at a decent price. You can buy their delicious corn tortillas by the pound. Fresh and delicious meals, probably one of my favorite Mexican places in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Consistently good, solid, traditional Mexican food. Good ambience (as long as you're in the mood for Norteno music and bright colors), friendly staff, free refills on aguas frescas, homemade tortillas, and they accept credit cards. I'm a fan of the barbacoa and fajita de res gorditas, but you can get most of the traditional meats in taco, burrito, gordita, and torta form. They have three types of salsas and homemade desserts from their panaderia next door; chocoflan is great. If you're in the neighborhood, this is definitely the place to go for predictably good-quality food.

Yelp
Great salsa and hot sauces. Loved my cheese enchiladas. Dinner partner declared his chicken enchiladas the best he has had in a good long while. Good price and service in a clean, colorful dining room. We will be back.

Yelp
Cool local place authentic Mexican food. Good prices and great service. They also have a drive-thru window.
