More Austin Restaurant Closings in June 2025 | Eater Austin

"The Los Patios location of this nonprofit cafe will close after the Fourth of July weekend while the Bandera Road location remains open; the operation employs people recovering from addiction, prices some menu items as suggested donations, and is set up to benefit the Smithville-based Serenity Star Recovery Resource Center; no specific reason for this closure was given." - Courtney E. Beautiful grounds. Patio is quiet and spacious. Menu is packed full of choices. We were seated quickly. Had a short wait for our waiter but food came quickly. Presentation was amazing and the food was delicious.

We went to saladworks. Fresh tasty salads but they were pretty small. The chicken was crumbly like it came out of a can, which was disappointing. The salad had good ingredient combos but it was just extremely small for the price. $16 for a salad and a fountain drink is just too much. I get that you pay more for the area but it's a bit presumptuous to charge that much for little yield. The place was empty and I can understand why. The same tired tables and chairs outside that the other places have and the gazebo was tattered and worn looking, but I think it's the property owners that insist on keeping the same old table and chairs. This area has so much to offer but it needs an overhaul. If you're going to go into the area, Comfort Cafe is completely worth it worth it worth it! Their food is wonderful, active atmosphere, and beautiful scenery!

This is just a great hidden gem. The place alone is so nice.We had to sign up for the wait line (which you can do online) and it was gonna be awhile...but we went outside to the store they have there, the clothes and other stuff they had were really nice. There was a lot of space to walk around and explore, there like a creek nearby. The restaurant had an upstairs floor with board games and downstairs a super delicious coffee shop. Even an outdoor patio area with games for the smaller kids. We sat down and played lotería (mexican bingo) while we waited. Jorge our waiter was friendly and helpful. The food was too good, the pancakes*chef kissies* were delicious. We got huevos rancheros, the sauce was great. My kid got the flight of pancakes with 3 different flavors, the PB was good. Wait time is a bit long but it was the weekend,so we expected it to be. It's a great place, good people, overall the fam and I loved it.

This place was amazing. The venue was all that I could have imagined for my wedding day. Kelly was the best coordinator I could have ask for, no detail was left undone. Kelly was so patient with me and caring she kept me so calm I worried about nothing! Thank you Kelly and Los Patios

Great place to stroll, enjoy artisnal foods like pastries, coffee, etc...First Friday Farmer's Market has begun the first Friday of every month which will have movie night, as well as, a kettle corn and shaved ice vendor. They are called Alamo City Kettle Corn, they were deelish and happy to hear they deliver and ship. Los Patios is a shady area and has lovely, picturesque views of the 18 acre area. Cool place to take photos. As you walk through the property, towards the back, there's a nice restaurant with outdoor seating AND you'll be pleasantly surprised to learn that the San Antonio River is feet away from the outdoor seating. Great area to enjoy! I, totally, recommend visiting this area when you're in town. If you live in San Antonio, what are you waiting for!? 😊

I have always loved Los Patios. We have had 2 company Christmas parties here and even though it was winter, the grounds were impeccably kept. Their party halls are great and their staff is awesome. Food catering has been delicious each time. Now we have even one more reason to love this place. My mom got married here after telling her how beautiful it is. My whole family came down and everyone was amazed by this hidden gem in the middle of all the city commotion. Totally recommend.

Gunslingers burgers. Very friendly helpful staff. The food is a little pricey, however you do get your money’s worth in both quality and quantity of food. Food ordered: Gunslinger burger, bandit chicken sandwich, ancho peach wings, loaded curly fries and a bottle of craft soda. They have a streamlined ordering process using a QR code attached to your table to order and pay. Looking forward to the next visit and trying something different.

Yelp
I really love to hangout at Los Patios. It's close to home and has a few choice eateries that we've enjoyed. The grounds are friendly and we ride (or run past this location) along the Salado Creek Greenway. During the mornings you can grab a Mexican coffee, at Cafe Olla, or latte, at Comfort Care or Naco 210. The grounds are also administered by the Blue Heron Recovery Group, which manages opportunities for folks in recovery. Los Patios is a pretty location surrounded by live oaks. It's quiet, peaceful, and calm. Whether you're eating or passing through, the location provides great respite from the summer sun or the busy-ness of the city. Worth a visit if you're looking for tranquility and shade.

Yelp
Beautiful surroundings that is the home to several businesses including restaurants Comfort Cafe and Naco 210. Don't forget to get some coffee at Cafe Olla. It is peaceful and serene. Check out the vegetation. Lots of bamboo behind Comfort Cafe.

Yelp
Several small restaurants and shops but unfortunately everything closes early around 4pm. Still enjoyed our very first visit just strolling the beautiful landscaped grounds -giant oak trees provide so much shade. It's so quiet and peaceful that you forget you're in the city. Plan to go back soon for brunch.

Yelp
Dear Los Patios: Shame on me! I have no valid explanation as to why it took me so long to find you. Yes, I'd seen your enticing "shop, dine, discover" sign from 410 - but was always on my way somewhere else, and never took the time to investigate. From the moment I first pulled on to your secluded drive, though - and was actually able to bask in your beauty and serenity - I've been furious with myself for not stopping sooner. Going forward from this point, I PROMISE to think of you first when I need to purchase a perfect gift; find an accessory or jewelry; dine in a lovely and tranquil environment; acquire a plant or floral arrangement; or just browse, on your exquisitely lovely acreage! As Ever, Shawn M. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *AHEM (tries to wipe dreamy, smitten look off face)* So here's the short and long of it: North of 410 - tucked very neatly between Salado Creek and Northeast Baptist Hospital, and concealed by a veritable forest of graceful live oaks -is the shopping venue known as Los Patios. I am simply astonished that no one else has reviewed this location; perhaps, like me, other people just don't realize it exists. It's not a venue that you'd go through on your way anywhere else, and since its resplendence isn't obvious from the road, why bother, eh? Well, I'll tell you why. Imagine a mysterious, magical setting dotted with tree-lined, sun-dappled paths, and beautiful buildings - housing wonderful little boutiques with stunning merchandise...Voila: Los Patios! I regret I didn't find my way here before Christmas (sorry, Krys, this would have been perfect for your "shop local" list!). But in the meantime, there's Valentine's Day - and even sooner, National Answer Your Cat's Question Day, National Blonde Brownie Day, Measure Your Feet Day, Australia Day and National Kazoo Day [yes, REALLY. You seriously don't think I could make these things up, do you?]. So go, meander, look, dine, buy....just save me a parking space, okay? PLEASE?? Or I'll be really miffed that I let you in on my secret!

Yelp
Los Patios is a secret garden escape hidden away from the hectic world in an amazing parkesque setting right on the Salado Creek Greenway and a stones throw from I-410. You've got shopping, there are places to dine, you can host meetings and events here, can get married here and of course there is lots of nature to enjoy here. If you have never been and are in the area just do a drive through and take a look. I bet you will return.

Yelp
Had not been here in over a year. Used to be one of my favorite restaurants. It has gone DOWNHILL. The food was very mediocre as was the service. The biscuits came out burned. When we told the server he just said "yeah they are a little". Did not offer to bring more. Food just as expensive but portions smaller. The beautiful surroundings still there. Unfortunately the restaurant is a big disappointment. Won't be back

Yelp
Los Patios was the perfect compliment to the 79 degree weather yesterday. A friend and I decided to skip breakfast and tackle the brunch buffet. While not inexpensive, it proved to be quite expansive. I feasted on smoked salmon, baked tilapia with a japaleno salsa, roasted leg of lamb, sides, fruit, and of course small portions of 4 or 5 desserts. It was great. The best part by far though is the setting. Los Patios is located in a sublime wooded part of the city just off I-410 on the north side of town. The breeze through the trees and overall peaceful surroundings allow you relax and focus on the flavors of whatever you're throwing down at the given moment. Pick an nice day (we have lots of them), take a book, and take a 2 hour lunch at Los Patios someday. You can't go wrong.

Yelp
Just finished our wedding at Los Patios. The place is beautiful, like a hidden gem of a forest in San Antonio. We live right next door to it and had never been. It's been very popular for brunch every Sunday. Our wedding fell on some very hot and possibly rainy month in September. We asked to have our ceremony moved inside and they actually moved our ceremony up to the more pricey room at the Hacienda which was a damn blessing. It was so nice and I can't even imagine what would have happend if we had to get married outside during that scalding hot weather. I gave this review a 4 star only so people could trust our experience but it was such an amazing wedding. Food was amazing. Cheese Enchiladas here are heaven. The Brazier is where we had our Reception and was fantastic. It's a large glass house with a tree running straight through it, wrapped in lights. The acoustics in there were perfect for the Dj, and it's all surrounded by a 360 patio and a little river. Really awesome place. Here's the negative, and it's really not their fault. It was HOT AS HELL, even inside the Brazier. However, that isn't exactly their fault. Some doors were left open the whole time for a photo booth area outside which I was told lock when they shut. Not sure if that's true. That aside, here's the main issue I had, as a groom. The chairs in the Brazier are horribly old and not stable. You can barely lean on them. They simply need new chairs. The tables are also lower than average tables which and wobbly just like the chairs. Upgrade the chairs and tables is really all I would ask. Ok, that's the only negative feedback we have. This place is and was amazing. We had the best wedding there and were treated fantastic by staff. Everyone loved the food. Again, the Enchiladas are amazing! It's just such a beautiful gem in San Antonio that people may not know exists. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. It really is like stepping in to another world.

Yelp
We had a last minute wedding here & it was the perfect location. Our photographer loved all the great spots to photograph. Staff was extremely accommodating with anything we needed. Food was loved by all as well. Kelly Zimmerman the event specialist there really made it all happen.

Yelp
We have eaten here several times and it's always very good. Service is relatively quick and the food is always cooked just right. Today's meal for both of us is the chicken fried chicken and water. Total cost without tip is... $27.00

Yelp
I recently back in October got married here. Everything was just breath taking and the food was amazing. I will be back just to shop and walk around. I love that you are right next to 410 but also hidden so you are not having to deal with the traffic that the heticness that the big city brings. My family loved every moment and loved how friendly the staff was and how helpful they were as well. I really like how they took special care of my grandmother at the wedding as well. Thank you for everything that you did

Yelp
This was the perfect place for a Sunday brunch with the family. Our party of 10 was seated outdoors on the patio without a wait. The buffet was amazing! I enjoyed shrimp and salmon. Others said the lamb and beef were great. The enchiladas and soup were really good. There was a great variety of all kinds of food and all of them were delicious. The desserts were especially good. The service was outstanding and our waiter was accommodating with anything we asked for.

Yelp
If you want to get sick, this is the place to eat. Food is awful! Don't be fooled by the reviews.

Yelp
I recently went to a rehearsal dinner at Los Patios and the space was perfect for the evening. We had BBQ, potato salad, grilled chicken and the fixins' and it was all delicious. The staff were very friendly and cleared away empty drinks and did refills in a very timely manner considering the size of the group. I would highly recommend Los Patios if you're looking to entertain a large group.

Yelp
The fruit salad was fresh and perfectly ripe. The poppy seed dressing (on the side) was delicious. The shrimp salad on an avacado half was very tasty. The location of the restaurant is pleasant and relaxing. We have been eating there over 30 years. It is a favorite place to take visitors.

Yelp
We have eaten here several times. In fact our Red Hat Group had a luncheon here in May. It was great. Good food, good service and a beautiful outdoor setting. After lunch we went shopping and a got a really neat cocktail outfit at one of the boutiques.

Yelp
As repeat customers at Los Patios we decided to take my son's birthday photos on their beautiful property. We were one camera shot in when the owner aggressively pulled up on his segway asking us rudely to leave if we were not with a paid event. My point is the manner in which he approached us, his tone and condescending attitude was uncalled for. This will be the last time we set foot on this property.

Yelp
i dined at LOS PATIOS for the first time in 1984 and have been back on a regular basis. i especially enjoy the chicken and shrimp salad with the lettuce wedge and fresh fruit with their wonderful dressings. their dinner rolls dipped in butter are the best. the service is prompt and efficient. now, since i am retired, my friends can enjoy a leisurely lunch and the shop the stores for their unique offerings. i was there yesterday to celebrate a friend's birthday and the place is as good as ever.

Yelp
My Mother's day was ruined by the guy driving a golf cart who at first was understandably requesting we move and park on the other side of 410 where they have designated parking for nature bikers/ and or hikers. I said okay and proceeded to put the bike back in my car when the guy began asking if it bothered me to have to be told to do this. I said actually yes,it did. He then went on to state how he owned the establishment and they only allow paying patrons to park in their lot but at this time they are closed! I couldnt see his point at asking me to re-park elsewhere if he was now closed and it being mothers day why would he put up such an arguement when I was trying to just do what he asked.

Rhonda M.

Yelp
The atmosphere on the patio, on a picture-perfect day, was phenomenal. The bufffet was plentiful. Unfortunately, my first impression was not a positive one. I called to make reservations to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I was unable to do anything but leave a voicemail and was not called back to confirm my reservation. I mentioned this when we got there and the hostess didn't acknowledge or apologize. I was embarrassed when one of our guests was serving himself some fruit from the fruit and cheese tray and discovered that a dead roach fell out of the cluster of grapes he was trying to select. Gross! I let one of the servers know and the tray was promptly removed. The food was dried out from being heated in the buffet setting for too long and was okay, but not great. If you are there to enjoy a beautiful setting and a large quantity of food, the Sunday buffet is fine. If you are looking for good quality food, sans the dead bugs, this is not the place for you.
