I got the carne asada chips and the shrimp burrito, and wow — everything was so fresh and full of flavor! The portions are huge, and the shrimp burrito was absolutely delicious and juicy (and only $12.50!). The place is super clean, and the guy working there was really kind and attentive, which made the experience even better. Honestly, this spot feels like a hidden gem — I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

My favorite spot! Hidden Gem! I work nearby and was recommended this place from a client of mine, I always get the Carne Asada, whether it’s tacos, burritos or quesadillas. Portions are large! Place is clean and the people running it are always so nice! I tend to wait outside or in my car and they always pop out to let me know it’s ready, so polite and give you as much sauce as you like! The hibiscus tea is amazing! They were also doing a free burrito to the first customers of the day today! I got 2 burritos for under $14. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! If you haven’t been definitely give them a try! I’m from NY and my standards for food are high and I haven’t found a burrito place I really like until this one! I’ve gone countless times and they never miss! Always fresh ingredients!

I wanted to try a new Mexican place and the first thing the owner did after I put my order in was to talk right wing political talking points. I just wanted some good food and the food was good but I will never be back. To the owner: if you're going to talk politics to everyone who comes in, take a second and then don't. Leave politics out of my quesadilla.

Pollo asada burrito had a bunch of fat pieces I almost choked. Learn how to cut fat off the chicken! Also, if u ask to get pico de gallo on the side instead of in the burrito they charge u .50 cents for the tiny container. This is why I never tip when your getting food Togo

Amazing food. It was my first time eating at this taco shop and I have to say the food was really good. The meat was well seasoned. The carne asada quesadilla was well done and sliced for dipping in hot sauce. Great place to eat if your around the area and located near other stores.

The place was very clean. The service was excellent. The Carne asada taco plate was was also very good. However, I would not recommend the carnitas plate as the pork was both very dry and bland. The carne asada burrito looked good, however it was stone cold. I suspect it was mistakenly made for a previous order and left to the side until someone else ordered a carne asada burrito, disappointing. That's the biggest problem with take out. Once you realize your food is not right it's rarely worth the trouble to drive all the way back to the restaurant to to get it replaced.

Terrific seasoning for all our meals! Burrito meal had super stuffed tortilla, my street tacos were so full of meat they would not close & rolled pollo tacos were perfectly crispy. We found our family Taco place 😁 Highly recommend the adobo

Here we go! New item exclusive. Got to try a few of these. Not in the menu yet. Its called Quesadora! Its is new and unique to this shop. When you are there order these and try it for yourself. Here is my review of today's visit and tasting. 1. Best customer service from any shop out there. Owner is always positive and gives great advice. 2. Quasadora is masa fillednwith cheese along with a huge bed of carne asada, coleslaw slaw, cotija cheese and sour cream. Wow. It is so good. Its a fusion or carne asada taco and quesadilla which speaks my name!!! Hope this gets introduced soon! Its a must to get here. Must!! 3. This place is always clean. Can't go wrong with this place. Always so neat!! Overall, another 5 star. Love this place abs what they are doing. Simply amazing. I appreciate Los Pinos and having you in our community. Thank you.

How can u mess up a bean burrito u ask? I don't know but the beans and salsa here were both tasteless. I didn't appreciate the owner charging me $3+ for hot carrots. Btw they don't use air conditioning

Easily one of the best taco shops in ALL of san diego county. Good selection, friendly staff, well made food and they have no problem with special requests. You can tell the meat is good quality, Never chewy like alot of the berto places. Smooth beans, rice is flavorful. Tacos are huge here, almost burrito size! They put a roasted jalapeno on every plate! 3 different salsas and the carrots are cooked and soft. I hate when places give you raw hard pickled carrots, not here. Once you try it you realize Its worth going out of you way to pick up

Such a hidden gem! This place is soOo good! We recently moved to the area and when we tried this taco shop both my husband and i were hooked! The meat is so tasty and delicious, great seasoning and flavor. The guy that works at the front counter, i think he might be the owner, is just so nice. Amazing customer service just keeps you coming back. We seriously just look for an excuse to go eat here lol. Definitely recommend to everyone and we are bringing all of our family here to try. I can't wait to come back

Great place to have a meal! Food is on par with the better San Diego taco shops, but the service is what's worth coming back for. The selection was huge and the food was fantastic. Carne Asada plate, tacos, and all the burritos showcase why San Diego has some of the best Mexican food there is. Prices are cheap and portions are huge. The man behind the register is incredibly kind and makes conversation with anyone who walks in. He is a genuinely good man doling out great food and heartfelt advice. Plenty of parking and very quiet and clean tables.

I ordered the 5 rolled tacos because those are my favorite food item to order especially here in SD . George' and his team are very nice and accommodating. I even got a free bag or animal cookies ! Awesome

My favorite local Mexican food shop. The staff is some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Food is always AMAZING, and the green salsa is the best salsa you'll ever have. This place is now a piece of home and is extremely comforting knowing every time I go I will get great service and great food.

Wow! All the was from Dallas and looking forward some real Mexican food that was clean and valuable. This place, especially George, was amazing. Had the steak fajita burrito and it FAR exceeded expectations. Won't be disappointed and it's a great business. Great customer service. Well done guys

Great food and the owner is the best. My carne asada burrito was huge and the rolled tacos were perfect and crispy. They do boutique aguas here that are super tasty, I had the pudding horchata and it was so creamy and rich. I'll be back often. The carne asada was tender and flavorful. Yum.

I got the adobada plate with corn tortillas and an El Diablo burrito. While it looked good, with big portions, the food was unfortunately just okay for me. The plate was not very flavorful and while the adobada tasted fine, it was not hot at all when I ate it (within 10 minutes of getting it). Their guacamole tastes fresh, but once again lacks enough flavor for me. The refried beans were strangely dry and tasted bland. The corn tortillas were unfortunately very tough and not very soft but they look homemade and taste fine. Similarly, the burrito was just fine, but it wasn't that spicy, which is disappointing. We did ask what was in it, and it seems the only spice comes from sriracha sauce which is already extremely mild of a hot sauce. So we didn't expect it to be that spicy, but I wish they would make an actual "El Diablo" burrito that's actually spicy....for Mexican food. The highlights of this place is definitely the salsa. Their green salsa is delicious and packs a punch. It's very spicy and it made my plate much more enjoyable. The red salsa is a more tomato based one, which was refreshing and sweet but not very spicy. Their customer service is also good, guy at the counter was very nice and we didn't have to wait too long for our food.

Wanted to try a new taco shop and was greatly disappointed. I called to place my order over the phone, I specifically asked what comes in their California burrito, no mention of pico. I pick up my order, arrive home and the burrito is filled with pico not to mention the burrito was so loosely wrapped it just fell apart. Don't think I'll be back!

Owner is always angry..Tacky hot sauce memos posted in window...cold food...Carne old yesterday's taste..Guacamole turns brown by the time you get home..They serve unfresh, yesterday's condiments..beware...George Alvarez horrible responses to your complaints...Your restaurant continues to decline...It was good in 2002 with other location/with drive through...Should consider closing...it's sad..truly.

Excellent Cali burrito. Just the right amount of meat vs fries. The Carne asada had a great flavor and texture. Slightly crisp on the outside, yet tender on the inside. The red sauce I was given had a slight kick without being overbearing. Very tasty. Make sure to pick up the Mango Agua Fresca. It was refreshing.

Tacos and SERVICE are AMAZING. Definitely a must try for authentic Mexican food in La Mesa. My favorite is the green salsa and al pastor tacos featured here.

GET THE SAN DIEGO ROLL DOGS !!! Man I love hot dogs and the San Diego roll dog was amazing. So much flavor ! Trust me !! I also had their golden steak quesadilla, where it's like Big Mac in the form if a quesadilla! Tried their tres leches cake, amazing as well.

Food is ok but can't even give salsa to go when you ask for it and the place is just dead.

The restaurant was quiet, for a Friday evening, but very clean. I got the Pollo adade burrito. It was alright. For $13 I'm used to bigger burritos. I asked for cheese and could barely tell any was in it. Again for the price I am used to more. But the burrito wasnt dry at all

Great service here, came in for the first time today and the man who helped me was very kinda. Definitely made me want to come back, he also let me try their strawberry horchata and it's amazing!

The service was good, very clean Establishment, I paid $8 for 3 rolled chicken tacos with all the fixing included included in the price, Pico, Cheese, Guac ,lettuce I added sour cream for a $1.30. The rolled tacos where fried so hard I couldn't taste or Identify the chicken inside, the guacamole was Nasty AF, just mashed avocado they most definitely caterer to the unsesoned crowd, Let me not forget that the five dollar & 10 cent one size fits all Disgustiling Unfresh Jamaica Wouldn't recommend this place to my Enemy.

Food is always good...Next time I need to try the hot dogs...We had the burrito special with the whole beans so good and the rolled taco special, no guac I am allergic! Food so great you'll scrap your plate...

Called in an order for a burrito and told it would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived 10 minutes later and waited an additional 15 minutes for my food. The burrito was terrible and overpriced. I wouldn't recommend and I won't be back.

The food was on the cool side when I got it home in 10 minutes. Still the food tasted great. It wasn't real busy but I placed the order online, which made my order processed in a timely manner. Great food!

We used to really like this place, they have never charged for salsas before in the years we have been going and today they charged $2 for two extra salsas! Also the quesadillas are supposed to come with guacamole and pico as listed on the menu, and it came with neither. With prices going up, this is ridiculous, not good to keep loyal customers returning.

I've been here twice at random times and each time I leave thinking "I really have to come back here more." I've had about 5 kinds of tacos and a few sides and they were phenomenal. Like very good. I'm not a taco amateur either. Staff has been extra nice. Verde salsa has been great. Seems like a rare gem so time to ACTUALLY start making this my go-to spot. Check it out.

Food is horrible ,prices are way to high!The owner or whoever he is thinks his stuff don't stink like he's better than you and he talks and acts that way in person!This shop has been here for years it has completely down hill!Food has gotten worse and worse thru the years and the prices are outrageous !The owner need to get his dad's help I know he was the original owner

Love the 1 taco special with a giant side of rice and beans- all at a lower price point for smaller appetites. The fish taco was one of the best I've had in a while! Really a great value and quality of food. Service was fast and friendly too!

We found this Taco Shop near our house and wanted to give them a shout-out for their excellent service, food quality and cleanliness. Ordered a carne asada burrito and carne asada fries. The food was made fresh to order and everything came out hot and delicious. The restaurant was clean and the owner was friendly. We will definitely be back.

Fresh. Simple. Affordable. We enjoyed a straightforward menu with hot hot hot food as it came out! The Curros are crispy yet soft, just how they should be.

I enjoyed the food from this little takeout restaurant. I ordered a Chile Relleno burrito and asked them to add rice. It was a simple burrito with the Chile relleno, beans, rice, and sour cream. The burrito was really big for the price I paid. The prices were fair, about $8-10 per item. I called ahead and the staff gave an estimate of about a ten minute wait. When I arrived, my food was ready early, and the staff up front was so kind. I don't believe there was any seating inside the business but they had nice tables and chairs right outside. Definitely looking forward to trying more items on the menu.

The carne asada fries are pretty good. The red salsa paired really well with the food. But there's a max of two salsas per item (even though carne asada fries are a big item!). And while I was waiting for my order, two of the employees were fighting. Idk if they thought I couldn't understand any of it because they were talking mostly in Spanish but it was not a good vibe.

The rolled tacos and carne asada burrito was outstanding. The rice and beans are tasty. The toasted Serrano peppers are a nice touch. Green sauce outstanding Red sauce was ok

This taco shop has become my favorite in San Diego. Hands down the best employees and the owner is an amazing guy. Every time I all into the store I'm greeted with a huge friendly smile and hello. The store is small. But has some great indoor and outdoor seating options. The food is always hot and fresh. Their rolled tacos and breakfast burritos are my favorite. If you're in the area stop by and grab some food you won't be disappointed!!

This spot is so delicious, the portions are HUGE!!! the horchata is amazing !!! The California burrito is giant and so much flavor ! The tacos had handmade tortillas and every bite was so tasty!!! You definitely get your money's worth.

Mobile ordered a Cali burrito and 2 fish taco plate, got to the restaurant at its est pickup time then waited nearly an hour before I got my food and I wasn't the only one. There were clearly other people there waiting for as long as I did. I didn't get an explanation just "we are working on it now" over and over again, when I wish I was just told hey we are understaffed or SOMETHING! I mobile ordered for a reason and I could have just gotten a refund and left but I kept getting empty promises and more waiting. Super frustrating. And I truly understand things can get hectic, or you're understaffed, or something, but I wasn't told anything which is incredibly infuriating.

I posted about a month ago and received a response... Making the same thing that has been served to many. I grew up with and married into a Mexican family so I do know their food. Each time I ordered the same meal it was cooked and presented differently. Still not going back.... Nasty

This is the first time since I have been living in San Diego (for 71 years) that i had the WORST rolled chicken Tocos in my life! I could not believe how tough they were like they were old tasting and rubbery and so Chet, no flavor. Awful! I will never go there again. No avocado on top either. So disappointed. We usually go to senior burros on fletcher parkway but felt lazy so we went to this one which was closer, what a mistake!Bad! Mary

The menu selection is great, I went with the Pollo Cali burrito and a regular order of Pollo fries. Both items were delicious and beyond my expectations. The staff is very kind and I really liked how clean the taco shop was. Let me just say this place is amazing. I just moved to the area and I am beyond excited to have already found my taco shop!

After walking in, I was greeted by the owner who was extremely kind throughout the whole process. Food took a long time, and there was a mistake, but he was apologetic and accommodating the whole time. The wait was worth it, the carne asada burrito I had was absolutely delicious, the salsa verde was unique, and I wanted more of it. Overall it was a great experience, and I would definitely eat here again.

I love this place. Not close to where I live I pass several Mexican food places on my way but keep going for my Los Pinos "fix" I have tried 5 different combos snd every one of them has been delicious. The food is fresh No line generally Delicious every time! Workers are very nice and the place is clean- love it!

See what I don't do on platforms is lie!!! Those pics of the cheese tacos I took immediately when I got home nothing sat! My plate wasn't titled either that's exactly what it looked like when I opened it thank you very much. As a business owner have some decency and apologize to your customers instead of blaming others or more excuses. This is the reason why me my family and friends can no longer patronize your business!
