Yelp
Los Primos, what can I say? Sadly, I was a bit underwhelmed by the tacos here. Don't get me wrong, they looked amazing. I walked in on a Friday and they appeared to have daily specials. Friday just happened to be 5 tacos and a soda/pop for $10. This was a very reasonable deal. I was happy to finally get some tacos after wanting it for over a week. This place made me want to cry... the tacos didn't meet expectations. Sadly, the service was very slow. After sitting down, I was ignored for a good 10 minutes. What made it even worse was waiting another 15 minutes after ordering the food for the tacos to arrive. That's a long time to prep 5 tacos. Anyhow, the food:
Carne Asada Tacos: The meat was a bit lacking. Dry, like it had been sitting out for some time and didn't have much flavor. The tortillas were hard and almost seemed stale. I felt tears of sadness eating these tacos.
Al Pastor Tacos: The meat on these tacos were a bit better than the carne asadas. There was some flavor, but still a bit bland from my taco experiences throughout the United States and Mexico. Still, it was passable, but again... those darn tortillas... why so stale and bad?
Carne de Puerco: This was probably one of the tastier meats that I tried. Wasn't dry and had a good deal of spice to it, but again... the tortillas... *cry*.
All in all, the service wasn't the best and the wait time was horrible for food that shouldn't take that long. It doesn't seem like they're really prepping all the food fresh in the back as much of it tasted like it had been sitting and was precooked, this definitely included the tortillas which on all accounts was stale and hard. The food was meh too me. Wasn't the greatest, but not the worst I've had. Decent for the price. Sadly, the service and the horrible tortillas didn't really help this place much in my opinion.
