The 32 Best Late Night Restaurants In Los Angeles

"This tiny, 24-hour strip mall spot in West Hollywood serves the kind of giant enchilada combo platters and cheese-topped burritos that taste good any time of day. That said, they taste best at 4am after a long night out in Boystown and an ill-advised stop at Mickey's after hours. If you're really hungry, go for the cheese enchiladas, but otherwise, the taquitos and carne asada burrito are both easy to eat while you walk." - brant cox, arden shore, nikko duren, sylvio martins, garrett snyder

It's a place you would drive past and not notice. It's one of those little hole in the wall joints. It's a small little spot, but it feels authentic as soon as you walk in. We got the breakfast burrito, and it was absolutely amazing! While we waited, which wasn't long at all, we watched multiple orders come out, and each one looked beautiful and very good. I can't wait to come back and try something else!

Actually I am so disappointed in Security man in front of this restaurant. On Saturday night me and my friend came with 2 different cars and park on the second line of this restaurant parking and somehow we didn’t notice that it was private parking area. And then I was there 5 minutes and I looked at security man to see if I can park there or not, but he was ok with that and didn’t say anything to none of us. Then we came back after 40 minutes and we couldn’t find our cars there. Then we found out that this security man just right after we left called the towing company and order to tow our cars. That was so crazy. I do understand that yeah that was private area (though it wasn’t even full and there were multiple free spots) , but how this man couldn’t let us know that we can’t park there, for what??? Is he doing business with that towing company??? I assume so.. cause we had to pay 480$ each of us for getting back our cars…. Just be more kind to peoples!!!

I tried this place twice. Got two very different burritos that turned out to be exactly the same. Then got food poisoning. I really wanted to like this cute, local place, but…. skip it.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the service was slow, unprofessional, and completely inattentive. The food? Overpriced, bland, and nowhere near the quality they claim to offer. The atmosphere felt chaotic, and it was clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority here. Bottom line: I will never be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of great restaurants in the city — this definitely isn’t one of them.

Google
Came here back in September. It's one of those places that you go for the taste of the food. We ordered a few tacos and they were one of the best I've had. Super friendly and quick service. They have just a few tables inside and no outdoor seatings though. The parking is also limited. It's a small strip mall parking. But we had no problem finding a parking right the way.

Google
I lived within walking distance of this joint decades ago. Got stuck in WeHo with time on my hands, so I went back to see if it was still there or had been turned into a Glitz Bar. It was like a time warp: if anything, the food was better than I recalled. Mom's home cooking, if Mom is Mexican. Get the #9 combo....your mouth will thank you.

Google
I was here last night waiting on the line for like 30min with my 10 year old. We ordered the food my son wanted more water. When I was going to ask for a bottle of water, the store owner asked me don’t you see the line? He wanted me to go all the way back to that line to just get a water to my son from their spicy food. Not happy about that

Google
They serve your food quick, the rice was a bit hard, the beans were can beans. The taste of the cheese enchiladas was good tho.

Yelp
Ordered the combo wet burrito. Wet burrito was just the right texture. You're given the option to choose the meat that you want with the burrito. Ex. Carne asada, al pastor, etc. They're also very generous with the amount of sauce that is dressed onto the burrito. In addition to other items, they have a nice selection of beverages to choose from: Jarrito Drink, Jamaica, Tamarindo, Watermelon Juice, and Horchata. I ordered the watermelon juice and it was by far the most refreshing and authentic watermelon juice I've ever had. Highly recommend ordering the large cup size regardless of which of the following drinks mentioned you decide to order.

Grindcore D.

Yelp
To summarize it up I've had the wet beef and the pork burrito two times also the tamale and it's old people food Soggy beef burrito dry crusty old salty a$$ pork burrito tamale is all masa if it wasn't that pricey I wouldn't give a shit but since I'm paying that much I expect better quality than the taco trucks by my house
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of my favorite hole in the wall spots in LA for good old fashioned Mexican food. The burrito is packed full and comes "wet" with delicious sauce! It's absolutely one of my "go-to's" near home. Staff is super nice and there are a plethora of options on their extensive menu, but the burrito just happens to be my personal favorite. Worth every bite!

Yelp
IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM FOR 12 HOURS!!!! I have been an extremely loyal customer for over a year. My girlfriend and I both have severe dairy allergies. The manager of this ungrateful establishment served me a burrito with cheese in it after I informed him not once, but twice of my allergy. I showed him strings of cheese and he told me it was an onion. I took my allergy medicine in my car after I showed symptoms of anaphylactic shock and asked for a refund because I needed to go to the emergency room and he told me "you can order an al pastor burrito and tell me it has cheese but it's pretty much the same as telling me it has chicken" then told me to pay for a new burrito. I was in the emergency because of anaphylactic shock for 12 hours and will be taking legal action. He has an ungrateful attitude as well as treating customers concerns as if they are nothing and I 10/10 do NOT recommend ever going to this place if you have allergies or ANY sense of common decency. STAY AWAY there are many other Mexican restaurants nearby.

Yelp
Their food is amazing. Have been coming here for years. Perfect for late night or early morning. The service is always quick and food is super fresh. It can get full fast it has limited seating but the place feels like a community staple for everyone that lives around there. Make sure to grab some of the pickled carrots jalapeños and onions. They arr so good.
google avatar

Maybelline C.

Yelp
Definitely recommend the wet burrito !! Love the workers here and the service is excellent. Best authentic Mexican food in West Hollywood.
google avatar

Char J.

Yelp
I'm literally not drunk enough to enjoy these $14 tacos I got. Al pastor is pork, right? My tacos taste like chicken. And it's drenched in a barely seasoned red sauce. Highly disappointed you're better off going to a street corner taco stand if you want good late night tacos.

Kelly B.

Yelp
the food is so disgusting the carne asada must be rat food idk its gross couldn't even finish a bite
google avatar

Marcus G.

Yelp
One of my go to food spots when I'm in LA. The food taste very authentic and hits the spot every time. This is a small diner but the perfect place for food with friends. This time I ordered chicken and Al pastor tacos. Also not featured is an order of tamales. Will always pull up here when I'm in town.
google avatar

Jimmy H.

Yelp
ROBBERS! I have been coming here for years, and this new guy whom I have never seen before charged me $84.38 for 2 enchiladas and 2 tamales. When I went in to dispute the charge he denied it. Not only the service was bad when I ordered the food, but after making this mistake and having to argue with him for 35 min to get my refund he just had a bad attitude and bad customer service. I hope the owners do take the time to read this review and that other clients also read it to make sure to check their receipts. Apparently this type of "error" seems to be common practice.

Cammy E.

Yelp
Been eating here for decades now! Love their food - consistently great! I love their tamales and Chile relleno and everything else I've ever ordered. And I always get avocado chips. YUM!!!

Yelp
I've been coming here for years and when I say years, I mean like since I moved to LA. 20 years of coming to this seemingly delicious place where I've had countless friends buy me late night, drunken tacos, and myself taking a date out to eat. This morning, I was doing laundry And the laundromat next-door another tried to business. I hopped on over to the Mexican restaurant to ask if I could use the restroom, perhaps I order a breakfast burrito on the way home, I don't really like to eat burritos while I'm doing laundry because I fingers might end up smelling like onions and, who wants to fold laundry with on hands? I asked the gentleman behind the counter could use the restroom. He looked me up and down and said no. This is the first time I've ever been told. They've always been so welcoming and so accommodating, and know that they're bread and butter comes from the locals, the people who support their business every day. I let him know. I've been here for years and I asked him very nicely if I could use the restroom again and he said firm with a no. This time. Seemingly that I could not use the restroom well good for him. He lost business. He lost my business and potentially, well, I'd say potentially 20 to 25 more people in and out maybe more let's say 50 because he wouldn't let me use the goddamn restroom. Additionally, the way he looked at me up and down he looked at me almost with discussed as if I were homeless, which I'm not but even if if I was oh well
google avatar

Farrah M.

Yelp
I do not recommend. That's guacamole? I ordered Al pastor taco with Chile relleno, The rice and refried beans were probably the best part of the meal. Had to ask for extra hot sauce to make my food edible. Oh the watermelon drink was delicious! I really wanted to like this hole in the wall. Did I order the wrong thing?
google avatar

Amie L.

Yelp
Food is delicious and they have great fast service. I do recommend this place for a quick fix if you're in the area.

Yelp
Been going here for about 8 yrs now but it's time to move on. Even stuck with them through the pandemic when the pico de gallo was replaced with crushed tomato mush, cause the food was decent, they were open late and were always friendly. Lately the food quality has worsened, the cashier girl just stares blankly at your questions and worst of all, they got my food order wrong. There's nothing worse than getting home and finding 2 of the 3 items are meatless; who orders cheese enchiladas?! Lawls... No but really, if you're desperate for Mexican food after hours, hit this place up. Just temper your expectations and check your order before you leave. As for me, it's a pass from now on...

Yelp
Discusting food. Really bad. If you want some better mexican food try El Comal restaurant by Santa Monica and Western
google avatar

Danny Y.

Yelp
Parking is provided. Pricing and portions are fair. Staff is nice. More likely you will pick up food from here or only eat in when late night. Casual and very fast kind of vibe. Enjoyed their salsa bar as well

Yelp
The food here is terrible. I couldn't even finish the wet burrito I ordered. The sauce was like the dumped tomato sauce from a can onto the burrito. No flavor. Poor quality overall, it's a hike in the wall kind of spot, unfortunately the food matches.
google avatar

Robert D.

Yelp
I used to eat here often. been going here for almost 15 years. Even picked up a few times during pandemic lockdown period and even after. Had a craving for their enchiladas and haven't been in awhile - took my cousin and went last night What a disappointment - The food was good that did not disappoint. This was the challenge: #1 The cashier seemed like she didn't want to be there #2 paying $22 for 3 cheese enchiladas with rice and beans for a hole in the wall spot - I know things are things are going up in price but a spoonful of beans, a spoonful of rice, 3 corn tortillas, some cheese and sauce $22 #3 and on top of that - you will see the sign - they now charge a 4% admin service fee on all orders. I know, On my order that is only 88cents - just raise the price a dollar more so I can b*tch about the just the price - don't insult me too with an admin fee1 Didn't part of the $22 go to admin - just like part of the $12 it used to cost? I never minded making my way through the crazies in the parking lot and I have always recommended this spot to all my Airbnb guests, but the way they jacked up the prices AND added a 4% fee for admin services- How do you explain and admin fee to visitors from all over the world that you send to their establishment I say Adios - don't play that - Not with it anymore.

Yelp
This is one of the last regular places in weho. You not gonna get a burrito at 1-3am for $10-ish unless you go east. I got the Asada burrito solo and thought it was a good amount of food. The condiment bar is pretty good. I'm not giving it a Michelin star and recommending you DRIVE out here to try it, but for what it is in the area it's in, it's worth going to if you're hungry late night.
google avatar

Manny M.

Yelp
I could do zero stars I would. Service is lacking. Meat is salty and def did not taste fresh. I was really hoping to like this place to have a decent Mexican food place close to home but nope. The tacos are def over priced for the poor quality. Will never patron this place again.
google avatar

Julie B.

Yelp
Horrible food and service, worst burrito i ever taste in my life The meet was so dry and greasy, the plate was full of oil form the greasy pork The burrito was so loose that it was impossible to eat Definitely a place to avoid at any costs
google avatar

Jack S.

Yelp
Maybe not THE BEST Mez food in LA, but it's certainly tasty. With ihop closing, it's one of the only places to get food on SMB in Weho at all hours of the night. Dependable. Friendly service. Reasonably priced. Open 24/7.

Truthful H.

Yelp
It's open 24/7! Great horchata drink which is hard to find in most restaurants even not as good as it is here. Great pork burritos. Low priced, filling, lots of parking and they've also got salsas and radishes and sour cream available for you at the counter. Been eating there for many years, never had a bad experience except when I put too much hot sauce on my meal! Be sure you tip well because they're not paid much, we can be sure of that.
google avatar

Yelp
Its 3am. And sometimes after a night at the club, tacos are nice. In life, we only have so many chances to go out into the night Like dancing flames or Beams of light And be anyone we want to be One day We will all return to our small midwestern towns and no one Will know our names or what we've done as we walk down the street and go to the grocery store to buy cigarettes and beer I cherish these nights. The women, money, cars, flashing lights, laughing with the boys, the pre workout routines, workout routines, electronic music festivals LA's given me everything I've wanted and still I ask it for more And at 3am Just give me tacos, Let me sit out on the curb, on the bare earth with the leaves that fall this time of year, And eat my tacos My bar hands gripping the greasy tortilla shells like Hands joined in prayer Because They're my everything, The salsas, the meat fillings, the pickled vegetables, little mounds of beans and rice shining in the moonlight like Chilean mountains, snowcapped with sprinkles of cheese. I don't know what tomorrow Will bring. But tonight we eat tacos.

T. R.

Yelp
I live in NYC. Whenever I go to LA, I head straight here for a good no-nonsense meal of Mexican food. And, they are open 24 hour.
google avatar

Jenny H.

Yelp
Enchilada and taco combo, Chile rellano. Chicken and steak taco, and chips and all salsas. This place definitely hit the spot at 4 am! Best tortilla chips in LA
google avatar

Hakob H.

Yelp
The food was terrible, the place is dirty , we had chicken tacos few days ago, today is the fort day I have running stomach , and the guy was cooking the meet , and took a piece, bites and put back again, I guess he was checking if the meat is cooked, and also the price is like Nobu price . How people go there , I don't understand

Julian G.

Yelp
This place is BOMB Yeah nothing else to add, 24/7 amazing food, great prices, lovely staff. 10/10 recommend

Jeffrey R.

Yelp
I've been coming here for 20+ years and it was always 5 star service every time, literally my favorite taco spot in Los Angeles. I've taken countless people here over the years and helped spread the word about this business. I came here at 3am on a Monday recently and was immediately told by Juan that I had to *leave* after ordering my food because he had to mop and sweep. Now, being that this is one of my favorites spots of all time and even if people have to mop or sweep over the years, the workers usually put me in a corner table so that I can eat and enjoy my food experience. I suggested this and relayed this same scenario to Juan, because LITERALLY I've been a customer at this spot for decades now. Juan didn't agree. He put me out of the establishment like a dog. And he put his mopping completely over the customers and me ordering food. I remember this place being customer friendly and being my favorite spot, but it's completely changed now that Juan is in the fold. Mind you, he didn't even want to tell me his name when the mistreatment started. Pressuring customers to leave immediately/ASAP, especially those who are long time customers is crazy. Check the cameras, I was very calm during the whole process but very surprised and taken a back when told I had to eat my food outside of the establishment because he had to clean (while others may not have had to do this.) He said he's only been working here for a year and some change (which sounds about right for how often I come and have known the workers over the years) and that I had to leave immediately after ordering my food. Very much a culture shock and different than what I'm used to, I understand that Hollywood has some crazies and folks should be vigilant, but you can't treat your regulars like that. Prayers that my favorite spot gets it figured out, cause it's bad right now! Thanks!

Shahein J.

Yelp
This place is bland, I got a an Al pastor burrito and it was it bland as can be, I went to the counter and was met with hostility asking for something different, upon asking for my money back they told me no, for 14 dollar burritos to taste like nothing but empty calories is something
google avatar

Luis H.

Yelp
Food wasn't seasoned and semi cold. Service was ok. Ambiance ehhhh only cause it's open late. Not worth the money. Won't be coming back.

George M.

Yelp
Food is always great ! Thank you ! Always great after a late night out from the clubs!
google avatar

Erica S.

Yelp
Best burritos in WeHo. The tortilla taste so good. Service is also great, super fast and people who run the place are very welcoming.
google avatar

Andre N.

Yelp
if you hate yourself you should eat here I hate writing bad reviews but damn, this place gmfu I've given this place 3 chances. First time I got a chicken quesadilla (watched them make it without gloves, ended up with a bad stomach). Second time I got tacos (ate one, threw the other one out). Hoping this third time would be a charm because I was originally was going to get street tacos but I didn't want to lose my street parking. I got a dry burrito. I didn't get any meat till I was halfway through and the whole thing eventually fell apart and I had to finish with a fork. This place is complete ass. Best for people who have no sense of taste because of drunchies or have no idea what GOOD and AFFORDABLE Mexican food is in Los Angeles.
google avatar

Ron L.

Yelp
It's late. Really late and you are hungry. I don't do fast food chain joints. I'm not big on a diner. It's too late for Leo's Tacos even. LaLaLand is not a late night food heaven. I buzz a friend who says go to Los Tacos open 24 hours. So, I take my weary bones over the Santa Monica Blvd and pull into the strip mall parking lot anchored by a 7-11. Los Tacos has a very diverse authentic menu offering an array of Mexican favorites. I ordered a combo plate with a chicken enchilada and Al Pastor taco with some Guacamole & Chips. I ordered double rice and washed it down with a Tamarindo. This was way bigger than my stomach so I took half of it home for a later second meal. Friendly service at a time of night that one might expect extreme grumpiness. Oh wait, that was me before I started to chow down. The food was tasty and the Guac and chips were good. A worthy very late night eating entry.
google avatar

Andy K.

Yelp
Solid fast food Mexican. Don't come here expecting the greatest Mexican food ever. It's perfect after a night drinking or a quick lunch.
google avatar

Rae S.

Yelp
My favoriite hispanic place to go In LA, CA! I've been looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant and I finally found this place after 2 years! I will net go anywhere else but here!
google avatar

Pierce R.

Yelp
My favorite late night tacos in the city! I love the crispy chicken taco, it is delicious and I think they are the only taco shop that offer free sour cream and sauces that you pour yourself

Eduardo R.

Yelp
Good ass Mexican food !!! Coming from Washington DC to LA for the first time after clubbing I HIGHLY recommend this place LOVE THE PEOPLE !!

Leigh A.

Yelp
This place is only good after a night of drinking. Eating the food sober is a waste of calories and dollars. Speaking of, the receipts recently have not matched my bank charges...so I no longer trust them.
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years and their food is always on point! Parking is ok depending on the hour but that's the same across LA. I'm giving this a 3 star because I always order the beef enchiladas (#16) and my Bf the wet burrito (#9) but for some reason recently they have been extremely stingy on the sauce and rice. By the sauce, the wet burritos are no longer drenched in sauce as they use to be and the enchiladas as well. And the rice.. before it would be enough to fill the reminder of ur plate but now it's literally only 1 scoop. How sad. Not sure if they got new management or something because the food is still amazing (assuming the cooks remained) but the sauce and rice u get has now been cut down.
google avatar

Benjamin G.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and the food is really sub par. It was $18 for chicken nachos and an horchata. The Guacamole is fake. Today I called them on it for cutting it with beans. It should really be called Gerber avocado and pinto bean baby food. For the cost that customers pay, they should be able to have fresh guacamole. Like others said there is a 4% service charge if you use your card.
google avatar

Loli S.

Yelp
Tastes like homemade!! Great homestyle mexican food. Nice portions unlike a lot of places in WeHo. Wish they had Dr. Pepper though! Bring cash as they charge 4% on cards!

Beckham F.

Yelp
My mouth is having an orgasm. I highly recommend. I got the tamal y enchilada plate. Bomb bomb bomb

Michele G.

Yelp
Excellent authentic Mexican food cooked on the spot. Their burritos are HUGE! Breakfast looked amazing too served all day. The service was great, cook was quick and the place was clean.
google avatar

Antonio D.

Yelp
Another amazing meal! This time I picked up the #3 - Cheese enchiladas with chicken - and Jamaica Juice with side of sour cream ~ The flavors are delicious and super fresh the food. Beans are cooked to perfection and the rice is spot on when it all comes together! Love this place

Yelp
This is the taco shop you go to because there's nothing else open. THE AMBIANCE: Small taco shop with a counter and some wall seating. We arrived last night around 2am to have something to eat after having drinks at Laurel Hardware (which by the way was awesome). There was a line to order at the counter. I saw two (2) staff members and one (1) cook. THE FOOD: Not great, but edible. I had two (2) tacos al pastor and one (1) taco de asada. My tacos al pastor came out with double tortilla, but wet. I think the meat had some condensation from the pan and they don't drain the meat or it might be that the meat comes out so hot that the heat causes the tortilla to get wet. Either way, it wasn't pleasant and the meat was too hot to eat right away. I grabbed a napkin and literally patted the taco down. The meat itself was not great. I wouldn't order this taco. My taco de asada came out as a veggie taco (beans, lettuce, guacamole). My fiance went to let the cook know that we were missing a taco de asada and the cook said, talk to the people that take the order. My fiance said that the cook was rude to him instead of trying to help. The cook ended up throwing asada on top of the veggie taco. I wasn't trying to be difficult, but I didn't want an asada taco with beans, lettuce, and guacamole. It's basically a burrito at the point. I got up and spoke to one of the staff members. He was an older gentleman who looked like he spoke Spanish, but he didn't. I showed him the taco. He said he would fix it for me and took down my order. I waited for about five (5) minutes and we made eye contact where he signaled to me that the taco was almost ready and he didn't forget about me. I appreciated that. The place was packed at this point. I got my asada taco and noticed right away that it's not asada. It's more like stewed beef. The positive is that the meat was tender. I won't be coming back. I'll look for a taco truck.
