It was an eating adventure this weekend! Let me get into it! I was able to try Los Tres Hermanos with my friend this weekend. What a treat it was. The waitress we had was very friendly and walked us through dishes that she recommended. The food! Oh the food! It was fresh tasting and the home made tortillas reminded me when I had tacos in Mexico. The quality or the food was sooo good and the price was very reasonable. The service was also very good. The waitress was friendly and even the chef cooking came and talked to my friend and I. The vibe I felt was really family like. It’s hard to find places like that since most places really are factory like and just a cog where they don’t try to get to know you. lTHG really makes you feel like you are part of the family. Overall, I will say if you want reasonable priced food and a great dining experience give them a try. Side note: give the three taco dinner a try it was worth it in my book!

Mexican food is so simple, delicious and flavorful – our experience was the complete opposite of anything it should have been.  My wife had a vegetarian quesadilla – so cheese and mushroom, it was so greasy she could not eat more than a few bites, and she was very sick afterward.  I would not recommend this place to anyone. Also, the first person that answered the phone didn’t speak English and the second person didn’t know the menu (or the menu online is wrong).

Restaurant: spacious and clean, definitely large enough to host my own Taco Tuesday party here (BYOB). Definitely the better Mexican I’ve had uptown. Food: so they make their own tortillas to order so that’s definitely amazing. The steak in my tacos were not chopped up so it made the tacos feel more substantial. The flavor is awesome, definitely more elevated that the other places in the area. What I really want to talk about is the habanero salsa. It’s very thick and not watery and it’s really delicious. Can’t wait to try the red and green next. They sold me a cup of it so I could use it at home lol. I have this feeling that the quesadillas are going to be really 🔥 here. Must come back to investigate. Service: the owners are limited in their English but the other employees are friendly and quick and were nice to enough to answer my many questions about the food. It’s all home recipes and marinated in store instead of purchased marinades from distributors. Honestly it’s nice to have this option so close to home and especially on the same block as my other favorite to-go places. I think people need to cut this business some slack as they are new and it’s hard enough opening a place in this economy. I’m wondering if they will sell me those home made tortillas in bulk.

Authentic and delicious spot on the north side! The servers treat you like family, and the restaurant has great ambience. Perfect spot for dinner.

Absolutely wonderful steak tacos. Meat was tender and the tortillas were warm and fresh. I also really enjoyed the rice that came with the three taco dinner. Tasted much fresher than some other Mexican places in the area. I loved that they brought out chips with two kinds of salsa without us even having to ask for it. Both those salsas were good. But I must say that the habanero salsa that I ordered with my tacos was the star of the show. Creamy and spicy,…I can’t think of another place around that has a salsa quite that good. The portions were large and the prices were reasonable, I will definitely be back!

I ordered take out and the food was just being finished as I got there. The tacos were excellent. I tried both steak and al pastor. Both were served with cilantro and onions and a cut lime, which perfectly complimented the tacos. A particular standout was the seemingly homemade tortillas, which were tender and pillowy, but strong enough to hold the filling. I'm excited to try this place again. A new neighborhood gem!

We live in the neighborhood and decided to try this place based on the reviews. We were not disappointed! We are all vegetarian and loved their options. They add grilled veggies to the burritos, enchiladas, and tacos and they were delicious! Usually it’s just bean, rice and cheese so the addition of the veggies were a hit! Highly recommend this neighborhood family owned restaurant!

Google
Mediocre and bizarre. There were potatoes in my tacos and the "nachos" had no cheese, it was more of a bean dip? Tortillas for the tacos were noticeably low quality.

Yelp
So happy another taco place filled this location! I've had steak and chicken tacos and a steak burrito from here. I've also ordered the chips and quac. The quality of the tacos has remained very consistent and has always come with onion and cilantro. No complaints with the food here!! The burrito was quite stuffed and there were no disappointments there. I tend to order the taco dinner because you get 3 tacos, rice, and beans for a decent price. All items are well priced on the menu. The family who took this restaurant over has tried to change the aesthetic a bit by adding table cloths and different decor. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars to this place is because the consistency of the deals keeps changing. They started out with $2.50 tacos on Tuesdays and then began running out of some meats (oddly enough chicken). Then out of nowhere the only taco deals were on specific beef tacos with hard shell with lettuce and cheese. Once the restaurant works out some inconsistencies, definitely will be 5 stars for the go-to taco spot

Yelp
The service was good and they make some of their items--like tacos--to order. They are relatively new to the area and in a storefront that has cycled through tenants, but I wouldn't mind if they stick around. We were there for taco Tuesday, and their tacos were really good. The service was friendly and it was pretty quick, maybe ten minutes of waiting. There are plenty of tables; I wonder if it's more takeout than dine-in. I'll return on a non-Tuesday to try something else on the menu.

Yelp
Awesome neighborhood spot. Chicken Tinga Tacos are delicious. Veggie Gordita's are super tasty. Housemade salsa is great. Everything is fresh and made to order. Give them a try!

Yelp
Very disappointed! I really wanted to like this neighborhood restaurant. Sadly, I don't have anything good to report. The guacamole looked good but lacked flavor, and the accompanying chips were stale. I tried four tacos (asada, cecina, pastor, pollo) and they were barely distinguishable one from the other -- all were bland and uninspiring. Sorry!

Yelp
Did an online order and they called to confirm and verify-love that so you know it's done right. Hand made corn tortillas are delicious. We did 2 steak tacos and a steak burrito. Both were excellent with a lot of flavor. Picking up the order was easy and the food was ready in under 10 minutes. Staff were super friendly. Interior had a lot of sitting area and is simply decorated.

Yelp
The space was clean and open. We sat at a table but they also have counter space which pretty cool. Pozole was made fresh that day so we had a bowl to start and some salsa. The salsa was really good. Don't think I've had salsa that tasted like that but our server let me know what was in it. The pastor was tasty. Rice and beans also good. The tortillas are pressed and made to order which was fantastic and a great touch. Def gonna throw this place into the rotation. Believe it's BYOB too.

Yelp
Gave me plain tacos when it was specified twice that it would have onions & cilantro, will not be ordering again. No flavor.

Raina F.

Yelp
When they do it right, it's not a bad spot. However, quality is often inconsistent. Tacos that are supposed to be to come with onion and cilantro were plain with nothing but meat and tortilla...like what? How do you mess that up? Sides that are suppose to come with the meal deal rarely are present. The salsa is good though, would def give a higher rating if they were consistently delivering on quality but that's just not the case at the current state.

Yelp
I'd like to be a taste tester within the city of Chicago. May you contact me if you are willing to have me try any of the food items on the menu. My favorite are tortas and I've recently started burritos. 7737885595

Yelp
I want to give a shout out to a new restaurant in our hood. Handmade corn tortillas, right in front of you!! This is my 2nd time eating there. 1st time was great, 2nd time even better. By far the best Mexican option in the neighborhood. Family owned and operated, lovely, grateful for your business. Please try them out! And no, I'm not affiliated with them in any way. I just live here and like Mexican food, am grateful they opened and want to make sure they stay open.

Yelp
Visited today for the first time - so good!! Got the taco dinner and Huaraches. Especially liked the chicken. Great service, will be returning!

Yelp
Incredible food!! You have to get something with the homemade tortillas. It's a very lovely family owned place that is bursting with character and flavor. Not only will we be back but we will be bringing friends.

Yelp
I normally leave reviews that are positive to encourage other local residents to support our neighborhood, but I cannot with this one. Server was not equipped to be such, both orders were wrong-completly wrong, no apology, no offer to fix it, just oh as a response, should have gotten taco Tuesday specials, they did not understand that and 3 people behind the counter did not greet, say one word, or try to help. It is no wonder there was no one else dining in. Ambiance was poor with loud soap operas on and no one else there.

Yelp
Tacos were tasty and fresh. They didn't have several of the meat options available and seemed to forget my order for awhile, then a cook came up to confirm it and apologized after a somewhat long wait for the food. Was charged regular price instead of taco Tuesday half price despite confirming the special upon ordering and again at the register. Complained and got $5 back but they had overcharged me $8 + tax....try the tacos but check your bill.

Yelp
Got the chorizo burrito today and it was FANTASTIC! The hostess was nice and attentive as well. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for something cheap in price but certainly not quality.
