Lost Borough Ice Cream

I had such a great experience at Lost Borough Ice Cream in Yonkers. I went with my family, who are visiting from the Dominican Republic, and since we’re all huge ice cream fans, I really wanted them to try something different, something that didn’t taste so mass-produced or overly processed. I was looking for quality, creativity, and flavor, and this spot delivered all of it. My best friend recommended Lost Borough and honestly, it did not disappoint. I had a waffle cone with the Bizcocho and Red Velvet flavors, and wow!! Both were so rich, creamy, and full of flavor, but not too sweet. The Banana Pudding too was a huge hit with my family, everyone was obsessed with it, and we were still talking about it. But the flavors weren’t the only highlight, the service was amazing. Diego and Taylor were both super patient and friendly, which I appreciated so much because we had to try some flavors before our final pick. Whether you’re local or just visiting, this place is definitely worth checking out. It’s everything you want from an ice cream shop, creative flavors, great quality, and genuinely kind people behind the counter. Can’t wait to go again!

Today, my fiancé and I were having a nice walk and craving ice cream. We watched a reel on Instagram about an ice cream shop in Yonkers, so we went to try it. The guy who took care of us was very polite and friendly. My fiancé had the chocolate cookies and cream; he loved it. I had the Papi Chulo flavor (piña colada with cherry)—it was amazing! I think you should come by and try the ice cream flavors they have. Mind you, you can try two sample flavors. I will come back to try another flavor soon.

I went with a friend for the first time and we had a really good experience. They let us try a few of their flavors and I have to say, that made the decision even harder, they were all delicious! The place is small but we were able to sit inside, I love the mural they have in the ceiling of some Yonkers iconic places.

Review for Lawson Barrow Ice Cream – Yonkers, NY Lawson Barrow Ice Cream is a hidden gem in Yonkers! From the moment we walked in, the place felt warm and inviting. The bright and cheerful decor added to the welcoming atmosphere, and Rosa was an absolute charm to work with—friendly, patient, and knowledgeable about all the flavors. After sampling several delicious options, I ultimately went with the coconut ice cream, and my wife, who agreed it was amazing, did the same. Every flavor we tried was fantastic, but the coconut stood out with its rich, creamy texture and perfect balance of sweetness. Parking was a breeze—we pulled up right in front and found a spot immediately. We drove all the way from Brooklyn, which took about an hour and 45 minutes, and it was absolutely worth the trip. We’ll definitely be back, and if you’re ever in the area, this is a must-visit spot. Highly recommend!

Five Stars! Hands down the BEST banana pudding in the entire state! The flavor is perfectly balanced—sweet, creamy, and packed with fresh banana goodness. The texture is silky smooth with just the right amount of vanilla wafers. Every bite feels like pure comfort. I’ve tried banana pudding all over, and nothing even comes close. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a true treat done right.

Stumbled upon this ice cream shop while in the area and was blown away! Everyone said their flavors were exceptional. I got the taro ice cream and couldn’t stop raving about the texture and flavor. 10/10 would recommend!

This is for sure a gem and a pleasure to have had. Service was great and staff was very nice. Ice cream was amazing, they have quite a special different variety. My red velvet cookie was to die for and my Dominican cake ice cream was incredible. A bit pricey, I hope they do well. 🥰

Cute small ice cream and boba shop. I got the messy girl ice cream and it was wonderful! Employee was friendly and engaging. There is a small counter with two stools to eat in but there is t much room to eat in especially silly if there are a couple customers inside.

Super small ice cream shop with insane flavors. I tried the lavender and walnut (too much lavender for me), Sakura, key lime pie and chocolate. Sakura ice cream was nicely floral and slightly bitter and delicious. The chocolate was rich but not too much. And the key lime was key limey. Tiny spot with just 2 stools to sit but eight by the river walk and lots of benches available. Nice ice cream spot and I would come back.

Great place. It's a little spot which has a variety of ice creams. I noticed the place has a nice aesthetic with cool drawings on the ceiling. The ice cream that I ordered was a the strawberry ice cream. The ice cream was very delicious and it had real chucks of shortbread in the ice cream. The service was great! I would go back to try other options they have on the menu

I'm pretty angry that the summer has passed and I didn't know about this ice cream being made in Yonkers. Luckily, I'm prone to eating ice cream all year long...because this place is just *so* good. It's everything you want in an ice cream- smooth, creamy, and delicious with an emphasis on premium quality. And if you're into inventive flavors - this is your place. (Don't worry, they let you sample and really explain the flavors to you if you have any questions.) We made the wise choice of skipping dinner and making ice cream the main course, so we got larges (and they are LARGE) and we each got two flavors. Husband got cookies and cream and chocolate - both so good. I got the rose and candied pecan (!!) and the strawberry shortcake. These flavors are thoughtful and the add-ins are really well made. The cookies in the cookies in cream have been baked with an abundance of butter to get a delightful sandy/melting texture. The pecans in the rose were large and beautifully candy-coated for an intense crunch- and that rose flavor was front and center. With a rotating cast of ice cream flavors, I'll be back. Often.

First visit. They've got limited flavors because their freezers were down. We got red velvet scoops on a cone, pretty yummy, but the banana pudding is delicious!

A real gem in the downtown Yonkers area. Newly opened ice cream shop offers hand crafted ice cream, sorbets and vegan options made onsite. The Owner is a really nice man who will happily tell you the story behind the shops name as well as the beautiful mural painted on the entry wall by a local artist. He's happy to give you a taste of any flavor. On our visit some of the flavors were vegan vanilla, vegan matcha-vanilla, blueberry crumb, strawberry shortcake, rose with praline pecans, grape nut, chocolate grape nut. Get a scoop, sugar cone or home made waffle cone. After sampling both the Coffee with Almond Biscotti and Peanut Butter & Jelly we got two small cups. He scooped two large scoops into the cup which was more than plenty to eat. So creamy and delicious. And reasonably priced. Treat yo' self to several different toppings with your ice cream cone or cup. I know it's still winter but ice cream knows no season. Enjoy.

Yesterday I had a taste for ice cream and that doesn't happen a lot. My boyfriend drove around in search of an ice cream shop from the Bronx and somehow we ended up discovering Lost Borough in Yonkers! We tried "Messy Girl" mix of different flavors with Vanilla the owner prepared for us on the spot. It was very good and we enjoyed it. We also liked the pictures and messages in the shop. We will be back.

Stopped by for a cold treat on one of the hottest summer days and was wowed by the ice cream here! The shop is small but stands out with its colorful decor and graphics. The designs on the walls remind me of Ample Hills and the ice cream flavors are just as novel. All customers are entitled to 2 samples and the employees are very friendly. There were so many flavors I wanted to try- fig crumble, taro, mango sorbet. I shared a big cup of the lavender and blueberry crumb with my boyfriend after trying these. What a winning combination. The blueberry crumb is decadent and ideal for those with a serious sweet tooth. I loved the blueberry flavor and the graham cracker swirl helped to mimic a pie. The lavender was the ideal pairing to the decadence. The mint green color threw us off initially, but this was surprisingly the best lavender ice cream i've ever had. Most lavender flavored ice creams have such an overpowering lavender taste that a bitter aftertaste is left in the mouth. This lavender flavor was light, aromatic, and sweetly balanced. It was unforgettable. Did I mention that they really go hard when packing the cup? Our $9 large cup was enormous and they did not skimp at all! I loved Lost Borough and I can almost guarantee you will too!

I went for the first time and had their ice cream with pieces of strawberry shortcake and jam! It was amazing. The lady behind the counter was very patient with us as we decided what flavor to get. Would definitely come back.

What a cute little place. The ice cream is super creamy and delicious. I ordered the blueberry crumble and my husband ordered the strawberry shortcake. They were both really good and we took a walk down to the waterfront and it was the perfect place to savor the ice cream. Will definitely be back!

If you're looking for a cute new place in town Lost Borough ice cream is where it's at . As soon as you open the door you walk into this colorful and fluorescent ice cream shop with the sweetest staff . The flavors are all hand made with love and time and extremely unique ( who else came up with pb&j ice cream ) ? They have a forever customer with me :)

Such a great place to stop in for amazing ice cream. The flavors are crafted to perfection! I enjoyed every scoop and will definitely return for more!

The shop is very welcoming and friendly staff! There are many unique flavors to choose from. I tried the olive oil and rosemary ice cream and fell in love! I had a scoop of the lost borough cookies and cream and the olive oil flavor. Total came out to $9.25. The serving's are huge. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors. I also peeped their banana pudding on the menu. I will definitely try it next time.

OH EM GEE!!! I am impressed!. We sampled the Olive Oil Rosemary Ice cream, Orange dream, Blueberry Crumb and PB&J. All four were delicious. I kid you not. Even the Olive Oil Rosemary was impressively good. I was mind blown. And the service was great. Very polite and professional. I definitely recommend and will be going back soon. Lost Borough is a little "hidden gem" the place is very small but the flavor is big! The ambiance is perfect it's clean and simple but busy in artistic ways that felt like a reflection of Yonkers graffiti street style and calmness of the waterfront. The ice cream was delicious and the worker was sweet and patient. She let us sample anything we wanted and packed our order with care. It tended to get a line because only one person was working the counter but the line moved efficiently and she did her best to keep it flowing without us feeling rushed at all. If anything it just showed how worth it the place is. The only thing I'm disappointed about is how many times we must have driven past not knowing it was right there next to the dmv.. I think it's important to support small business, local business, and black owned business so this was the perfect stop! If you're in Yonkers you need to stop every scoop we had was creamy and packed in flavor!

First time in this place. The owner was nice to let us try a few of their flavors for ex ( Yonkers blackout, my son's favorite) I had the coconut and my daughter had matcha!

This is the ONLY place I will ever go for ice cream. When I got there, the server was SUPER SWEET! He let me try a couple samples and grapenut was my FAVORITE! It was just freshly put out so I got the fist couple scoops but oh my gosh the combo of cookies and cream with grapenut and rainbow sprinkles was immaculate.

The staff is delightful! They seem to really enjoy what they are doing. We met the owner and he sets a great example for the staff. The ice cream is delectable and the flavors are so unique! It's so hard to choose just one flavor, but if there's something with praline, you have to try it!

This shop is so cute and very clean, the owner is sweet and very personable. And most importantly the coffee ice cream was excellent delicious I would definitely recommend this ice cream shop especially since there a very few shops available

Black owned and delicious. They offer catering as well for parties and such. Anddd they can create flavors. Aaandd they offer vegan flavors.

I just want off by saying how amazing the staff is here. My child and I had questions about all the funky flavors they offer and they explained and gave us samples of them all. I especially love the passion Patrick has when describing them. Hands down the best ice cream I've ever had in my life. Love this place.

This place is legit. I need everyone to come and support this new business , not because of the two kind workers I met today but because the ice cream is actually amazing. It's been a while since I've had ice cream that good and trust me the servings are very generous, not stingy like those gelato places in the city. Please try the pumpkin pie and strawberry shortcake... you won't regret it

Terrific creamy textures, interesting and sometimes surprising (rose?) flavors---what a great addition to the regional premium ice cream scene! Chocolate hazelnut was our favorite on our first visit, but we happily anticipate trying out whatever this gifted creamery has to offer. Pricey, but worth it for The Good Stuff!
