Yesterday was my first time here. My son wanted a sandwich. We had sandwiches, and my daughter had pizza. The atmosphere, service, and food were great. I love the paintings. The wall paintings blend in so well with the canvas. Drake was our server, he answered our questions and gave suggestions, he was very friendly. We will definitely be going back.

Google
Oh wow! My partner and I were just looking for a quick bite on our way through town and chose this place on a bit of a whim. What a good choice! The atmosphere was wonderful! We were greeted like friends as soon as we walked in. It was slow when we arrived and the manager waited on our table as much as anyone else and everyone was so friendly and outgoing it felt like we had met before or were regulars. The menu is *wild*. The manager immediately told us some great choices. We each ordered one of his recommendations as well as an order of fries and 👩‍🍳🤌💋 they were both perfect. The sandwiches' flavors were deliciously balanced, the textures inside it were well thought out, and the fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned just right! The decor is AMAZING. I had to keep my eyes on my partner while we were chatting because every time I glanced around I would get distracted by a new painting or section of a mural that I hadn't seen yet. 12/10 would get a sandwich from them again I'm sorry I have no food photos because I crushed tf out of that sandwich when it was placed in front of me.

I have heard so much about The Lost Dog Cafe. It's difficult to visit the cafe because it's not close to where we live. So, on the way back from the mountains of West Virginia, we detoured through Arlington to have a bite with our girl Alex. The first impression upon entering Lost Dog was WOW. The wall art of dogs in different scenes is jaw-dropping. I am always awww with the talent of artists, to imagine and transfer to a wall, board, buildings is just pure talent. So now to the service and food. We were greeted at our table with the cool, relaxed personality of Jessica. Jessica explained the Lost Dog menu and took our app and drink order. We started with the dip and then ordered pizzas. The food is really good. I got the mountain sur, and the wife got a cheese. Will definitely be back

Google
First time coming here and loved the vibe - gave me very east coast feeling (I’m from the PNW). I split a sandwich with my friend - The Bird and the Eye of the Tiger - and also ordered their 7 layer chili. I almost never have chili or sandwiches and both were really good! Staff were all friendly and checked up on us constantly, sometimes even adding quips to our conversation which I’m all for. I wanna come back and try all the other sandwiches! I learned they have other locations so I’m definitely intrigued. Sandwich era~

Google
Love a banana milkshake. The staff were a bit clueless but at least one guy could make me a banana milkshake. Kudos to him. They had no tea because they had no tea bags. To make the banana milkshake, the staff had to run across the street to another restaurant and borrow a banana. We were the only customers on a Saturday night so I am sure that the small order was pittance but hey, it was something. #milkshake

This is the second Lost Dog location my husband and I have visited. We have previously dined at the location near Braddock Road Metro a couple times. I really like the mission of Lost Dog and try to support animal rescues whenever I can. I also like pizza; so this place is a perfect combination. :-) We were greeted and shown to a table as soon as we came in. It was lunch on a Thursday; so not too busy...perfect for a quiet lunch. We ordered the Lost Dog dip and two Port City Porters to start. I had not tried this dip before and it was actually pretty darn tasty. We were offered more chips, which were perfect to scoop this dip. We decided on the a large pitbull pie, which had a good amount of meat, sauce, onions, and heat from the jalapenos. The pizza was large enough we needed a to-go box. I would definitely recommend this location if you want to enjoy good pizza or sandwiches while supporting local animal rescues. Their clothing line is fun too! Thanks! :-)

Google
Convenient neighborhood restaurant and they support a good cause. The pizza was good and they have 50 different sandwiches so everybody will find something they want to eat. They offered to refill the chips for our appetizer which is always a good sign. The beer list is kind of limited but they have a bunch of cocktail and wine options. The service is good and the place has a fun atmosphere that is created by the entertaining dog Murals that decorate the place.

Google
We had our wedding dinner here last night and it was an absolute perfect occasion. We could not have asked for a better waiter with Drake. He was patient and incredibly friendly and attentive. There were no issues with booking the side room for the evening and everything was smooth sailing. As always, the food was incredible and everyone loved their sandwiches, salads and pizzas. Thank you Lost Dog for being such an inclusive LGBT friendly establishment!

Yelp
Recently stopped at Lost Dog in Arlington after a day of hockey tryouts. We had been in the past and thought it would just be a relaxed dinner. Well, it didn't live up to that low bar. Service was distracted, starting with nobody and no sign at the door to point out that you need to seat yourself. The food also left a lot to be desired. The pizza was soggy, the onion rings ("dog collars") were seemed like leftovers that got burnt when reheating. For sandwiches, we got the mixed Italian and the steak and cheese ("bulldog"). Neither one was a good version. I think you can tell by the pictures that the quality was off. I hope it was just a bad night.

Clare O.

Yelp
All lost dog food is amazing, but their salads are always fantastic! My go to is the fat Willis. It always has huge portions and the ingredients are always super fresh. Go to lost dog if you want great service and even better food!

Umar M.

Yelp
Sometimes you go to a place to grab a quick meal and fall in live with the comfort and vibe of it. Went to Lost Dog to grab a pizza with a friend and her daughter. Instantly fell in love with the ambiance and the vibe of the place. Service here is perfect. TJ took great care of us and even brought colors for the little one with us. That was very lovely. This place gives back to Teachers and Healthcare workers. They donate to dog and cat shelters. The menu is massive the types of pizza, sandwiches and pasta served are massive. I had a custom pizza, waffle fries and baked onion rings. Really liked all of it. A very traditional fun spot to hang out with your friends and family. They have a merch booth as well!!! 4.8/5 for all of this

Yelp
I've lived on and off the pike for years, so I'm super late in leaving this review. Lost Dog is excellent: the food is good, the service is fantastic, and everyone who works there is incredibly kind. I would recommend the Ricky Ricotta, but they have an enormous menu that would suit any needs. Finally, the restaurant itself is great: it's clean, spacious, and a great place to dine at. Five out of five stars. And the manager is excellent!

Jennifer B.

Yelp
This was recommended by the Airbnb that we are staying at. We ordered online which was super easy! They were delayed in getting our food order. Their beer selection was amazing. Our daughter had the Sea Dog sandwich and said it was great! Pizza was amazing!! We had several different types. My 2 scents was my favorite!! Crab dog dip was horrible. Other than that...creat experience!

JJ G.

Yelp
Imma give her a cute 3... we got personal pizzas and it was a great size to fill each of us up. And yes I ordered a pineapple and pepperoni pizza henny, gobbled it right up!

Jake B.

Yelp
Just moved into the neighborhood and Lost Dog Cafe was our first restaurant adventure. Joey did a nice job taking care of us and made it a great experience. The food was solid, great craft pizza and an array of sandwich options. Excited to go back and try something new.

Haley C.

Yelp
Huge portions of delicious food! The #19 Sammy Club sandwich was perfect for every bite and it was fun to have seasoned waffle fries as well. I ordered online for delivery which was quick and easy

Eric C.

Yelp
Great place for different options of food, whether it's for delivery or dine in. You typically can't go wrong with their pizzas, but their sandwiches are good too. They have a wide variety of beer if you're into craft types. Their online menu can be daunting at first but from my experience if it sounds good, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
***UPDATE*** Thank you to the stores GM Rasha for reaching out ; after a great conversation on the phone we were able to work things out. Plus, after reheating it a few minutes in the oven, the pizza turned out pretty tasty. Sorry Rasha, I couldn't do much to help the dip. Lol. But thank you for sending over the Reeses pie, it was worth the wait. In the future I will be ordering from them again but directly rather than through a food service. Also, kudos to Rasha for her pleasant professionalism and understanding. Highly recommend talking to her for anything you need at Lost Dog. I will be making it a point to stop in and thank her personally. Decided to give these guys one more shot through my Uber Eats app. Man was that a mistake. Once again they screwed up my order and left off an item, and the pizza arrived luke warm at best; the flavorless 7 layer dip might as well have gotten left out on a counter for hours, room temperature and sloppy; and when they asked me if I wanted a refund or if I wanted my Reese's PB pie, I said I wanted the pie of course only to be told that "management said we can't do that" Maybe work on your customer service. Obviously we all know the customer isn't always right, but when you blatantly make a mistake, so what you have to to make it right. We work for our money just as hard as you do and deserve to get what we pay for.

Tara C.

Yelp
Love it!! Greatest pizza and wonderful mission! We order all the time from here. It's great for kids too!

Kevin S.

Yelp
Love the pizza and food in general here. Good selection of sandwiches and beer. Stop in!

Kay F.

Yelp
Always great food and efficient service. We take all of our friends here since we've never been disappointed. The portions are huge so I like to share. Sandwiches, salads, pizza, cool French fries- awesome!

Deb W.

Yelp
Decided to visit this restaurant for lunch. They had a nice amount of lunch time visitors. Service was quick and accurate. The host/waitress wasn't the friendliest nor did she check in on us but the food was great. The table busters were fast and very thorough with their cleaning. The staff was very friendly and the food was good. They have a variety of sandwich options and they are all delicious. I was impressed with the food, how fast it arrived, and the temperature. The order was accurate and the price was appropriate for the food. We will return as we are always pleased with Lost Dog!!

Chris M.

Yelp
Pizza was picked up in time and tasted so stale. It was super thin crust, but left little flavor in the sauce. This is a $20-$25 pizza and is absolute garbage for that price. Will not be ordering pizza again. Service was fine, typical good service Ambiance is super cool. Like the inside a lot.

Margaret M.

Yelp
My order was never delivered at all. They called me after their closing time to say they can't deliver.

Bhavik G.

Yelp
My wife and I came here for a Military Nonprofit Organization event, and while your initial impression may be similar, it looks like another pizza shop. This place had excellent service where they take the time to get you the right beer you want, and the Rouge Chocolate Stout I had was amazing. I would have had more if I wasn't driving. I was most excited about the Holy cow-less, which is a Plant-Based protein crumble, with garlic butter, marinara, melted mozzarella, and parmesan cheese, served on a toasted sub roll. It was 11 dollars, but there was no way I could finish it in one sitting, so not bad for the price. If you are ever in the area and want a great place to sit down and catch up with friends with great food and beer selection, this is the place for you.

Bee U.

Yelp
Time number 3 trying the Lost Dog Cafe and overall I'd give this location a strong 4.5 out of 5 stars if yelp allowed. The food has been 5 star each time. So far I've had one of the best pizzas EVER, an amazing Cuban Sandwich, super tasty Garlic Cheese Bread with marinara sauce and a slamming' carrot cake. Every single bite of food was delicious. The -.5 star is basically the only because the server seemed VERY confused when asked to make a substitution for one of the ingredients on a specialty pizza. Other than that he was polite, relatively quick and attentive. It was early afternoon so we got in before the dinner rush and it was pretty quiet. We were able to sit and eat without a ton of noise and we were able to chuckle at all the dog centric murals painted around the dining room.

Mariya G.

Yelp
Wonderful casual place with a fun decor and a pretty extensive menu. Even as a meat eater I appreciated all the vegetarian menu items that were available and the portions are generous, I didn't finish my sandwich in one sitting; and ended up taking the rest of it home. They also have quite a beer selection and the staff is super knowledgeable-I wanted to get a cider that they were unfortunately out of; and our waiter recommended a sour that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Christina O.

Yelp
I decided to order some DoorDash and tried the Chicken Pesto Pasta, Garlic Bread, and Top Shelf Long Island Iced Tea. All I can say is that I am definitely marking this place as a favorite! The food was packaged really well to include everything I asked for ie eating utensils. I am definitely going to try more items from the menu. The portion size definitely satisfying!!!

Yelp
I guess their kitchen help doesn't know the difference between Rye & Wheat!!! Asked for grilled, not heat the inside. Just a darn mess. Very disappointed! For some reason this happens way too often!! Just darn sad!! Not to mention, I feel robbed!! I will never order from here again

Collin G.

Yelp
Great dog friendly lunch spot! Large outdoor area for dogs to enjoy your company, didn't need to go inside to get a table either. In the shade most of the day as well. Got a chicken salad which was very refreshing for a hot day, and the wait staff was very good about keeping water filled. Will definitely go back.

Yelp
Virtual Yelp Event: Pizza-Making Class with Lost Dog Cafe This was so much fun! It really put a creative spin on our traditional pizza night. The pizza kit included flour-covered dough, sauce and shredded cheese. It was more than enough to make a delicious pizza. We added extra sharp cheese, mini pepperoni and a few shakes of basil for a little razzle dazzle. Because, pizza. NOTE: I cannot take full credit for this pepperoni-topped creation. All work --including adding (and eating) 873 mini pepperoni-- was done by our 4 year old resident chef/future fire captain/Transformer. I'll have you know that I wasn't a complete waste of space; He was nice enough to let me pay, supervise and clean up. This was the perfect family time/bonding activity. Would definitely buy again. * * IG: @f.hux Keep reading... www.elledeepea.yelp.com *°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°*°* #foodieHUX #yelpelite #yelpeatsdc

Yelp
I had a nice experience during my first visit, particularly enjoying the pizza so much that I decided to order again the next day. However, I was disappointed with the terrible customer service over the phone when I placed my order. This experience has left me hesitant to return in the future.

Melissa T.

Yelp
I've ordered delivery multiple times over the years. Today I ordered and they said it would take 30 minutes. However, an hour later, I called back and the person on the phone had no idea what my order was then proceeded to tell me they didn't know who the delivery person would be, and had no way of confirming if my order would be delivered. This company has gone downhill since the past 10-15 years that I've gone there. Super disappointed.

Camille L.

Yelp
Went here for some soup and grilled cheese on a rainy and cold night and this hit the spot! The inside was adorable too - paintings of dogs covering the walls. Fast and casual and definitely recommend! Wait staff was nice too.

Wal E.

Yelp
We came in on a Friday at 4:30pm, ordered two bulldogs and we didn't like it. The menu stated it was a "classic cheesesteak" but it came with roast beef despite the menu not mentioning roast beef anywhere in the description (#4 Bulldog). We asked to order something else, so the manager approached our table with a smug face and smelly attitude. She eyed us down when we asked if we can get something else and with a foul tone, she uttered, "that's just how they come." She didn't give us any options or solutions, which forced us to ask for the check and leave promptly. We won't stay in an establishment with a rude person peering at us from across the restaurant. It's a shame, we really like eating here. The New York Yankee is our go-to, but we'll never come back here knowing that woman is still employed at this location.

Dylan S.

Yelp
Pizza is 8/10. Tastes like better made papa John's pizza. Still really good and honestly the guys at the counter are hilarious and love their job so it makes it a great pizza shop.

Sandra C.

Yelp
The food was good but the racism was awful. Our waitress seemed nervous because she could not understand what I was saying (she told me so) I have an accent but I speak perfect English. Let's say she tried. However, when my family and I were about to leave, the waitress and the cashier (a Hispanic woman that seems to like only white customers) complaint loudly about the tip we left - $10 cash, in their opinion too low. It was so embarrassing that I had to give her $10 more in cash so they would stop complaining. What an embarrassing and awful experience. I will never go back

Chanel Z.

Yelp
Ordered the surf and turf sandwich via take out. It was just ok. It was tasteless, but I was very hungry. Would not recommend.

Richard E.

Yelp
Lost Dog Rocks!!!! Brenda was amazing! Made our night, thank you! Still the best food around with the best staff!!

Katherin Y.

Yelp
Great Gluten free options. Thank you! The cauliflower crust is yummy. I recommend it. Thank you!

Courtney D.

Yelp
Literally one of my fav restaurants! Everyone is always super kind, efficient, and the workers seem to love their jobs which is awesome to see. Fun atmosphere! Soooo many options on food. They literally have one of everything.

Jeremy D.

Yelp
Words can not state how awesome this Lost Dog location is. The food is absolutely amazing...delicious pizza and awesome selection of sandwiches. Our son's a huge fan of their pepperoni pizza! But most of all, the staff (especially Angela) go above and beyond for our son every time we go here. Since they are ceasing the Covid restrictions soon, she let him pick out one of the stuffed animals they used at the spacing tables. He was so excited and it just made his entire night. We are so thankfully for the great hospitality each and everytime we visit.

Dia D.

Yelp
I got the Carolina Dog which had pulled pork, coleslaw, and bacon. It was a tasty sandwich, but a little messy so I wouldn't order this if you are eating in your best clothes.

Carla P.

Yelp
I barely leave reviews, but I was extremely disappointed with my order I had to do it. I got Emory's Portobello Sandwich and not only was it dry, and barely had mushrooms or cheese, but they were extremely generous with the onions and red pepper flakes. I had a few bites and had to throw it out. Don't waste your time and money. Not worth the hype.

Aaron H.

Yelp
It was nice while it lasted - Lost Dog South Arlington has always been a go-to for me. But after some travel, went back yesterday (always pick-up) and wow, what happened. First, they raised their prices significantly. My usual sandwich and fries went up more than $2. But the worst part is the quality significantly dropped. So more money for worse food. The fries were burnt and dry. The chicken looked like they picked scraps off the assembly line and was just junk. And the garlic mayo was barely there so the sandwich was dry. And the garlic butter wasn't on the roll. I used to go weekly, now I'll go monthly, if even that. Do better.

Amy P.

Yelp
I have been to a few other locations and they are all solid. I love that they have gluten free options and the sandwiches are always tasty. I'm giving it 4 stars since it is a little pricey, but again, it's a solid lunch choice and I've never been disappointed.

Beach G.

Yelp
Exceptional Cesar salad. Yummy pizza. Easy to order online. Amazing beer and wine selection to add to my to go items. I will be back. Haven't tried the sandwiches but I am sure they are as good as pizza and salad.

Jay S.

Yelp
I went to Lost Dog and the service was amazing. I had a great time. The manager Rasha was very help and she is so gorgeous. I never believed in love at first sight till I seen her. I will be back for sure and hopefully I will get to see her again

Khaliun A.

Yelp
Lost dog has awesome sandwiches. They have a super good sandwich with turkey and honey mustard that is to die for!

Cindy A.

Yelp
My son-in-law's birthday was upon us and we couldn't travel to celebrate with him. So, we ordered lunch from Lost Dog as a surprise delivery to his home. We ordered two sandwiches and two brownies (minimum order of $25 for delivery). He was very excited to receive the meal and enjoyed eating it! He said everything was very good. It was nice to be able to order a treat for his special day and even pick the delivery time the day before!

Emily G.

Yelp
Lost Dog Cafe has TONS of pizza options (to the point that it's almost overwhelming!) The pictures on the website really make your mouth drool. Cute names too, alluding to different dog names. My roommates and I ordered through the website and got two small pizzas as a party of 3: Great Pyrenees - "A white pizza with sliced portobello mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, fontina and mozzarella cheeses, fresh basil on housemade whole wheat pizza crust." So 1) Tasted fine 2) but was not a big fan of the crust. Didnt think it was that tasty, I don't think I'll go with whole wheat pizza crust, ever again, in general. 2) This pizza in particular was dry, may due to not having sauce, and just cheese. Would not get again, tbh. Polynesian - "Homemade pizza sauce, shrimp, hickory ham, pineapple and crisp bacon. Smothered with mozzarella cheese." This was a GOOD pick, and our party preferred this one a LOT more. 1) having the pizza sauce made it taste tons better. 2) really interesting mix of flavors. Not only is the timeless debatable ingredient of pineapple an ingredient but SHRIMP??? YES IT WORKS. (at least, it did for us :D) I recommend. Again, a ton of options so maybe best to go on the safer side for at least one. I would definitely go with ones with sauces cuz it really makes the pizza. The smalls were fine to split with 3 (each person having 4 slices if you split evenly) and as a small 100lb girl I had 4 and honestly could have eaten more (but should I have? Definitely not ... my eyes are bigger than my stomach!!!!) So if you have a big appetite, go with the large pies (especially if it's a safe option)

Allan B.

Yelp
Service was poor, even while the venue was empty. Had to ask for refills, waited too long for the food and milkshakes, and waited way too long for a check. Draft menu outdated, Untapped was wrong. Beer (on draft) we did order was malted out. Of the 4 pizzas, one is worth ordering again. Milkshakes were small, runny, not blended well, barely any flavor. Not worth $7/8 each. Cookie/brownie desserts looked awesome, and the ambience/decoration is cute. Maybe it was just a bad day.

Jackie V.

Yelp
A great family spot! Neighborhood restaurant with a large variety of pizza, beer, & sandwiches among other things. You can find something for everyone. My favorite pizza is the individual Greek. A perfect size for one person! Takeout is also good! Order ahead because it can get busy. There is plenty of parking behind the post office. Gendered bathrooms. Ramp for folks with mobility issues.

Claressa E.

Yelp
Great food and great service! We were seated instantly and got our food within a decent time.

Melissa C.

Yelp
Salmon salad was not good. Threw most of it away. The salmon was small and did not taste cooked all the way. Will be going back to my usual Urban Plates salmon salad.

Wei-Han W.

Yelp
EDIT: The management has reached out and offered a small gift, like they said they would. I have revised my review from 1 to 3 stars, considering the nice gesture. I sincerely hope they improve their hygiene protocol, since this establishment is liked by many (including my spouse). I look forward to giving it another try. Just pulled a big fat hair out of my sandwich (Sammy's Club), delivered 10 mins ago. Rather unfortunate, because it was quite tasty. See picture.

Jessica H.

Yelp
Their food is overpriced, flavorless and absolutely disgusting. Their food literally tastes like it came out of a high school cafeteria. The crap I ordered was inedible, I threw most of it in the trash. What a waste of $26 for some nasty crap. They also packed my takeout order very sloppily and carelessly. There was marinara sauce spilled everywhere. Just horrible! I will never order anything else from this place ever again. DO BETTER.
