I booked this for my birthday, a large group tasting for 6. It was to include a "large" cheeseboard that fed "6-8 people. We even asked the server if it was a large or if there was a mistake. He confirmed it was their large. Luckily we had one person back out so there were only 5 of us, so we got 2-3 bites each. Anyone that loves a good cheeseboard knows people want more than a couple bites!! How was this a large board? Photo 1 is their alleged large board. The next photo is of a board that was for TWO PEOPLE at Slate Theory - beyond impressed with that one!! The other is just an insult. ...Especially after I told my friends I had a surprise for them (for my birthday lol) and that is what came out. I would never return after this 💔

We love this place! We joined as members during our first visit back in October 2024. Since then we’ve gone 4 more times and each visit is a lovely and relaxing experience. We were there yesterday and had a tasting in the Barrel Room with Woody for 7 adults and 4 kids, to be out of the rain. They assured us it was no problem having little kids in the barrel room. They are so welcoming (the “welcome wine” is a plus!), accommodating, and truly treat you like family which is refreshing as some of our previous favorite spots have become not family-friendly and don’t allow kids. Towards the end of our tasting Griffin came and played ball with two of the boys which allowed us some adult conversation. The wines are great, the staff excellent, and the property beautiful. They also have a number members can text to make tasting reservations which is so convenient. We hope to make it to a member event soon, they always look incredible. If you’re looking for a laid-back wine experience with some REALLY good wines, visit Lost Draw.

First winery hit on a quick trip. Pretty cool outdoor seating area with tree cover and shade. They have you sit down outside and they bring the wines to you for your tasting. We actually shared a tasting. The older lady helping us was the sweetest and most kind lady I think I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing at a winery. She walked us through the whites and reds. My partner enjoyed all of the whites and some reds. I enjoyed most of the reds but I would rate them in general as “fair”. I can’t really say and stood out to me. Their take on viognier was lackluster but the Tempranillo was fair. No major standouts really. Whites were super light.

We had a lovely tasting with Woody. He is very passionate about The wines & Lost Draw. They are audacious with their wine choices. I wish them the very best!

Hi, this is Phil. I was a guest of Anna’s at the latest big group meetup. We enjoyed plenty of different wines and all of the employees were very kind. We finally met the famous Shawn (ask about the duck photo). Everyone was super friendly and treated us with care. The wine was super duper and scrumptious. Food and band was awesome. Shout out Shawn! He’s the best. I’m the best. Not sure. Either way. Staff is great. Try the wine. Live. Laugh. Shawn. P.S. that duck photo better be in the office. P.S.S. Thanks for having us! So anyway, here’s a brief history of Hawaii: “Hawai‘i was originally settled by Polynesians around 1,500 years ago, who developed a rich culture and society across the islands. In 1778, British explorer Captain James Cook became the first European to arrive, marking the beginning of increased Western influence. The islands were unified under King Kamehameha I in 1810, forming the Kingdom of Hawai‘i. After decades of political and economic pressure from American interests, Hawai‘i was overthrown in 1893, annexed by the U.S. in 1898, and became the 50th state in 1959.” Best, Again, Phil

The staff was so warm and welcoming! They were very attentive and knowledgeable. We brought our young kiddos and they were very accommodating giving them bubbles to keep them entertained. The view is spectacular. There wasn’t a wine we didn’t enjoy….we did the signature tasting. Highly recommend!

We were welcomed with a delicious wine and lead into the tasting room where Danielle greeted us! She was so informative and passionate and then took us around the vineyard, took our photos and made the entire experience my best winery visit ever!

Google
Sherry is amazing! This was our first stop and none of the other wineries lived up to our experience at this one. Staff was very personal and fun, history of the winery was interesting, gorgeous grounds, loved all the wine we tried. Can't say enough good things about this spot. We should have just stayed here all day vs moving on to others!

Yelp
I've been to the majority of the wineries in this area and Lost Draw is my favorite. It is consistent - fantastic wines whether you prefer red or white and the best customer service. The location is scenic - great outdoor seating. The barrel room is very nice for booked tastings. I've enjoyed every wine I've tried. I've been a member there now for two years. They also have fabulous pick up parties for members. Worth the stop!

Yelp
Really lovely people and the outside tasting area is really nice. I don't particularly like whites, but the Viognier was great. Buttery. Really good. On the red side, like the GSM and Sangiovese the most.

Yelp
Incredible laid-back atmosphere, awesome wines and the staff are so nice, great customer service. They truly want you to have a magical time. Join the club, it is so worth it and the pickup parties 5X a year are generous. Closed to the public, always a band, lunch and free flowing wine to taste. Great way to meet new friends!

Yelp
Omg this place is my new favorite!!!! Every single wine we tasted was incredible! I first visited in Feb and finally made my way back. The property was gorgeous, green vineyard since it's been raining a lot this summer! The staff are lovely! This is a MUST stop on the 290 wine trail! Cheers!

Yelp
For starters, they have everything here down to a science from the wine to the customer service. When you arrive, you're greeted with a starter glass and A BLANKET. It's so chilly in the tasting room so they offer a snuggly blanket for you to use. Sarah was so welcoming, we just met and it quickly felt like she was my best friend. She took her time, answered all my questions about everything (I can be a little inquisitive) and did it all with the sweetest warmest smile. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
There wine overall has a bit more bitter after taste with more tannins than I like but my husband loved every wine he tried.

Yelp
We visited Lost Draw on a visit to Texas earlier this month, and we had a great time at our tasting! They take reservations, which makes things so convenient! The customer service was excellent - two different staff members spoke to us throughout our tasting (to tell us about the wines and their production methods) - and everyone was so friendly and helpful! The tasting room is small but cozy and comfortable. They have a lot of tables outside that looked lovely, but the winter weather wasn't such that people could enjoy their tastings outside on the day we visited! The wines were very good, and the tasting included a variety of wines (wines, reds, Bourbon barrel aged)! I certainly recommend it if you are looking for wineries to visit in the 290/Fredericksburg/Johnson City area!

Yelp
We loved trying the wines at Lost Draw! Their regular tasting room was under construction so we did our tasting in the barrel room which was still a unique experience! We appreciated that they gave everyone complimentary welcome wines for tasting along with bonus ones at times. The reds were definitely our favorite (particularly Tempranillo and Tannat) though we enjoyed the refreshing taste of the whites! However, there was only one staff member at the time and even though there were only 2 other tables there it took us about 1 1/2 hours to do our tasting due to staff talking with/helping others. We did feel he was very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable! It just made for a little longer stop than we would have liked for just the tasting but would say, overall, that we enjoyed our time here and would come back!

Yelp
We really enjoyed our tasting experience here. The server was very knowledgeable about their wines and the wines were very nice. This place is one of those that are close to Johnson City, but not especially well marked. Give it a try if you're in the area.

Yelp
Such an awesome experience. This spot is so cute and I can tell they have gone the extra mile to create a quality experience (from wine and food to ambience). Great wine and cheese board, passionate staff, and lovely exterior with nice seating under the trees. This is a spot you'd want to come and sip for a while to enjoy the view. I can't wait to come back here - this is now one of my favorite spots among the Fredericksburg area wineries.

Yelp
My husband and I had a great time here with our dog, Willie. It was very nice that they gave us a welcoming wine taste of some white wine that we enjoyed. There is a beautiful seating area outside where they let us bring our own food. We really enjoyed talking to our server about different kinds of wines and she let us taste a couple of other ones so we could make sure of which bottle we would like to get. We not only drink a bottle there but we also bought a bottle to take home.

Yelp
A-mazing! My mother-in-law is a member but has only been to their downtown spot. We went to checkout their winery and we're so glad we did! The servers were so friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was welcoming and as always the wine was delicious! I was really impressed with so good the charcuterie board was the perfect size for two ( their small size ) and it was only $10!! That's a crazy steal compared to the typical cost of those boards at other wineries. It was filled to the brim too with crackers, apricots, almonds, olives, 2 types of sausage and 2 delicious cheeses! We'll definitely be back !!!

Yelp
WOW, we saw the sign on the way to Fredericksburg and decided to stop for a tasting. Our tasting room ambassador, Sarah, was awesome. After taking all the time we wanted asking questions about the wines and doing a great job explaining, she took time to learn about our family. She invited us back for an event on Sunday which had live music and free food along with excellent complimentary wines. The entire staff was super friendly and very inviting. We can't wait to go back and get some of the excellent reds they offer.

Yelp
Two words for this winery. "First Class". If you don't visit you are missing out! We joined the the wine club. Just received our first shipment. OMG is all I can say. Love this.

Yelp
Lost draw has mastered the lost art of customer service. Truly the best experience in the wine country! Their Tempranillo will not disappoint. The owner, Andrew, gives a personal touch creating an immersive experience. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Love lost draw! Never had a bad experience. The employees genuinely love the product and are proud to show it off! The new facility has come a long way and the charm of Lost Draw is starting to show through. Always fun and love that they do case specials!!

Yelp
I love Lost Draw! We became members last year. They offer lots of whites and rose' which is what I like best. We also enjoy their reds, including Noel and their GSM. The wine garden is very pleasant and some afternoons there is live music. Bill was our wine guide on thisvisitt and we have meet him several times over the years. He was charming and a wonderful host! Can't wait to return!

Yelp
Such a fantastic experience! Our server Bernadette was so knowledgeable and shared so much information on the different wines and how they were made. The wines were all amazing and the cute patio was super nice on a beautiful day! Loved this place!!
