BLUF: Average food, slow service with the veneer of opulence. First and foremost, how dare you have 1 waitress for the entire place. That is unacceptable. Miya was running around like crazy. My lamp chops were the David Ruffin of the date. Ain’t nobody coming to see you Mac and Cheese!!!! The bacon was a nice backup for the baked potato and overall it was MID. My wife’s chicken and green beans were a step or 3 below her home cooking. Long story short, bring up the food up to match the atmosphere.

Google
This atmosphere was fun. There are many picture worthy areas at this establishment. I ordered the chicken & waffles. The chicken and potatoes were friend crispy like I'd prefer it, and the waffles were okay. I'd circle back to try other dishes on the menu and to enjoy the ambiance again. If you want a low-key DC brunch vibe, this gives it.

The food and atmosphere were amazing! Also our servers Zack and Jonathan were so sweet and attentive never had to look for them once. Im vegetarian and they accommodated to me. The mimosas were champagne than juice ☺️ Definitely coming back for the bottomless brunch

Food was very flavorful, well portioned and delicious! I was absolutely pleased with level of service and professionalism displayed by staff. I also tried their Moscow Mule cocktail and I was blown away, I HAD to order another one lol!!! By far the best I've had since I've moved to the DMV area. You need to try this restaurant, it's so worth it!

Allow me to introduce you to THE hottest spot in DC! The musicy was on point everything is a vibe, and when I tell you, the food is finger licking good you have to trust me on that one! Our server Zack was extremely accommodating and made sure everything was to our satisfaction! We start out with a short rib tacos, the bang, bang shrimp, the mac & cheese, and the chicken empanadas. All I have to say is wow, I wanted to get the mac & cheese with Lobster, but my friend is allergic, but it was still amazing without it! Total epic cheese pull. & I consider myself an empanada connoisseur, and these were flaky, cheesy and full of meat. Love them! We tried the specialty drinks all of them. We’re not only beautiful, but strong, but not overpowering just perfection. Then for dinner, we indulged in the chicken and the salmon! Both amazing in their own way. And how could you and the night without dessert? We got the New York cheesecake, and the chocolate cake, which is my favorite, super rich, decadent, and delicious. And then they have another floor in case you want to keep the party going!

Very fancy steak house with excellent chef and the rest of the staff. Has a bit of a speakeasy feel being tucked away on the second floor above a Subway.

The food was seasoned to perfection with a great atmosphere. We went for brunch. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly.

Let’s talk service, Chet was phenomal! We sat at the bar and she was very attentive. The food was decent but not 5 star per se. Vibes was on 10 after the crowd started to arrive. Suggest that you book for a later brunch reservation & bottomless mimosas!!!!

Yelp
The food was delicious!!! We had the French toast and lamb chops. The crab egg rolls and jerk chicken empanadas. So good Bri the bartender was beautiful and kind. The cocktails were tasty and the music was good. Great vibes for brunch. Yall should go and enjoy!

Yelp
Came here for Howard Homecoming. Good music, good food, good drinks, and cool vibes. This place has multiple levels, and I didn't get a chance to get to the third level but that's where the dj and dance floor is at.

Yelp
Lost Society was a recommendation from a friend and we couldn't have been more happy with the choice that we made. First, the decor and ambiance is great - the dark walls, huge windows, and great art really set the food for the lunch before it even started. While it wasn't super busy, there were enough people and energetic, but not too loud, music that made the vibe awesome. I can imagine that it's a great place to be during dinner. We begun with some classic margaritas that were tasty but strong. We ended up with two, which was a perfect amount for a day drinking buzz to wander around the town. The food was excellent, we had chicken sliders and crab cake sliders which were both incredible and should be on the list of items to get each time stop by. I can't wait to be back in town to go back and try other things.

Yelp
I'm indifferent about here because I have a different view of nightlife and dinner. Nightlife I'm always down but dinner time? Idk. Service be slow and these servers sometimes really couldn't care lol. I'm here now and this gin drink is made with more syrup than anything and even with me buying a shot and adding it the drink still trash. Feedback given to bartender and although he listened attentively not offer to remake it (had this drink before and yeah them syrup hands was too strong). You may or may not be checked in on. But like it's lost so it's always gonna be cute, it's always gonna be something....

Yelp
Came here for happy hour. I was hoping to sit on the rooftop but was advised it's only open for brunch. The inside decor was nice, they had music playing and once they changed it to music from the mid 200's it was more enjoyable. We got 2 of their cocktails, 2 shots and split 3 appetizers. The drink presentation was cute but didn't taste the alcohol. The calamari was great and Brusse sprouts are my favorite. The jerk chicken empanadas were very good too. While the appetizers were good, paying almost $100 for happy hour was crazy to me. Maybe this is a better place for brunch or dinner.

Yelp
I'm honestly not surprised just how mehhhh this place is. The ambience is amazing!! The drinks are watered down. The staff is great but my experience was just all around mediocre. My husband and I were invited to a friend's birthday dinner. They weren't there when we arrived so we headed to the bar. The bartenders did not acknowledge us for a while although we made eye contact and waved them over. When they did come over they asked us to give them a min.... Which turned into 10-15.out group arrived just as we ordered drinks. Once our table was ready we moved to our table. We ordered food The entire party began to receive their items.... Some missing sides... my food did not come. The server told me she was sorry and that the kitchen forgot mine. Another staff member came to let me know my lamb chops were over cooked and the chef did not want to send them out like that. She asked if I would like a shot or something. I told her I'd prefer to put food on my stomach first. Another 30 min went by and the group was ready to move to the party section upstairs, but could not because I still had not received my food. By this time I was beyond hungry and annoyed. When my food finally arrived the lamb was cold and still over done. They also put some sauce on the lamb which had a bad after taste. Just horrible. The following day I realized I left my card at the bar. Called and received no return call. Sent a text to the number promoted to text when you call. No response. Just overall not a good experience.

Yelp
Had a noon, Saturday reservation. easy to reserve on opentable. 90 min dining If 1 person order, all must order, unlimited mimosas. $35 (cranberry, orange or pineapple) Restaurant level was clean and spacious (2nd floor). Plenty of chairs around the bars. Bathrooms are only on the top level (3rd floor). All unisex, several I had the bang bang shrimp (@ $16 comes with 10 pieces) and with an order of fries ($8). They were okay. Friend said the Hennessy wings and old bay fries were really good Music was kind of low, but a mix of afrobeats & current music Good for solo, couple and groups dining. A less than 5 min walk from the U Street/13th street Metro exit

Yelp
Service was great Hajaisha was friendly and informative. The drinks was amazing. The fruity call was 10/10. My friend enjoyed her sexxy redd. The names are so cute. As far as the lobster/crab egg roll 3/5 not fresh. Tasted super fishy like it was sitting same issue with my Salmon. This comes from a seafood regular. The mashed potatoes was good. It's cute in there.

Yelp
So, my thoughts on this place are mixed. We flew into town that Sunday around noon. We tried to get a reservation but no reservations were available. We decided to walk in around 2:30. Upon walking in there were PLENTY of available seats, however, we were told they were reserved, however the bar was open. We sat there. After about 20 minutes no one came to the reserved table so I went to the two hosts and asked if there were cancellations and if so could we move to a table. We were told they would let us know. We continued to eat and drink, the food was decent, the drinks were good and so was the music. No one ever came to the tables!! We were there for almost two hours because a friend joined us. The tables remained open until about our last 15 minutes there. For that reason I will not return to this place. Then upon our exit they had a line outside. There was no one really in the place. I guess they pretend that it's hype to draw a crowd. Do not fall for it gals/guys. I found that to be terrible customer service.

Yelp
Came here with a girlfriend of mine for brunch and it turned into a day party at 3 LOL. It was a vibe for sure, but for brunch not so much. It's the standard brunch food (pancakes, chicken and waffles, mimosas, etc), but it's not mind blowing. You're better off going somewhere else if you're looking for quality brunch food. I'm giving them four stars because of the vibe! The first hour of my brunch they played Afro beats, which was a nice touch. Then the day party portion of it was great, everyone was vibing and having an amazing time. So the consensus - come to party not for brunch.

Yelp
Lost Society recently remodeled their brunch area and menu so I was expecting so much better. I went for my birthday to brunch with the girls on a Saturday at about 3pm. We were a party of three with reservations. You have 90 minutes to dine. They sat us at a table that is technically for two people and stuck a third chair on the side so it was very cramped. We were questioning how we would have room on the table for all the things we wanted to ordered. We ordered mimosas to start. The waiter came back 10 minutes later to tell us they ran out of champagne and went to go get more. The drinkers weren't strong when we finally got the mimosas 20 minutes later. Typically when I pour a mimosa it bubbles up from the champagne but these did not bubble at all. It was like we paid 35 per person to drink juice. We got our food and it was good. Portion sizes are kind of small and prices are not crazy. The restaurant let us stay a little longer than the 90 minutes. I think we were most annoyed about the mimosas and the small table. When the check came we were very disappointed. There are some extra charges we weren't expecting and you can only split the check evenly. It was insane that 20 dollar chicken and waffles + 35 dollar mimosas + extra fees = 90 something dollars and that didn't even include the tip. The math don't math lol It was okay. We unfortunately just weren't wowed enough to come back.

Yelp
My cousin made a 9pm dinner reservation to celebrate her birthday. She called ahead and told them she would be a few minutes late and was told that if she arrives before 9:30, she would be able to keep her reservation. She arrived at 9:21pm and was told by one of the employees who I believe was part of management that the reservation was cancelled. The lady stated that there was another reservation at 10pm and they could not keep the reservation. She then mentioned that one side of the bar was cleared for us (a party of nine) to sit and eat. "Umm what?!" is the expression that many of us had considering she was told over the phone that the reservation would still be valid, there's no "intimacy/privacy" at a bar (especially for a large group), and there were vacant tables. One of my cousin's friends tried talking to the manager to see where the section at the bar was available for us. Her tone and demeanor was so off-putting; it was as if she enjoyed touting her authority around and had no empathy towards my cousin or occasion. Talk about nasty work. I've worked in the restaurant industry and customer service is BIG to me. This situation was an easy fix and did not have to be so difficult and poorly handled to begin with. We went ahead and sat at the bar and ordered our food and drinks. I ordered the boom boom shrimp and must say it was very delicious! Everyone else enjoyed their food as well. I will note the ambience at Lost Society was nice overall and I loved the views of 14 + U. Thankfully as time progressed, things started to get better. Shout out to one of the managers, Preston who was very understanding and accommodating. He did his best to make the rest of our experience better. We were moved to one of the vacant tables and able to unwind and celebrate the birthday girl. The rest of the staff members were helpful (though we did have to get up a few times to ask for things). We ended up checking the upstairs section/lounge area out and had a blast. I had to cut it short because of work but I could see myself going back to give this place another shot.

Yelp
I loved the atmosphere, music, and vibes! This drink was good too. My heart wanted the bang bang shrimp but the price didn't reflect how many pieces of shrimp there was so I went with the short rib tacos which were okay. The manager and our server were very attentive!

Crystal M.

Yelp
Amazing service !! It's definitely a vibe on Saturdays for brunch. The food was great portions and the bartenders are cute !

Michaele S.

Yelp
I finally got around to posting this review. The only good thing about this restaurant is the ambiance. This was a one time experience only. The food may look good but it really wasn't. The only good thing that I had was the boom boom shrimp. The crap dip was ok but you'll be searching for the crab. The Hennessy wings actually smelled funny when they came out- the scent was burning my nose (I'm not kidding). The alcohol must not have been burned off properly and the flavor was not good at all. Now when you get your bill pay attention to it because the prices on my bill were different from those on the menu and I actually had to have the waitress fix it for me. The time it took for us to get our food was so long. Lastly I asked her if she could break up the change from my bill and that was so I could tip her and she said they would not be able to do that or there was no chnage in the restaurant or something along those lines. I found that very weird so I just ended up paying with my card.

Aliyah C.

Yelp
Great vibe and tasty food! The rooftop setting was a highlight. Service could have been a bit more attentive, but overall, a solid experience worth revisiting.

Kathryn M.

Yelp
I've only had their brunch once, but have been here a few times for their day parties and it is alwayssss so much fun!!! When I did eat their brunch, everything was AMAZING! ALL of the food that we ordered was delicious and the service was great! The 2 person tables are a little small depending on how much you order so make sure you finish your apps before the main meal comes. I liked that the brunch was a chill vibe then you could go upstairs to party. One of my favorite things is the indoor/outdoor setup, so it's never too crazy hot/stuffy. Overall, this is one of my favorite places to go to for a day party & I'll definitely be back to try their brunch again!

Deedee M.

Yelp
Reserved a brunch here for when I was in town, and arrived on time, and was seated immediately. You do have to walk up a flight of stairs to get the dining level, and then another flight if you're going to the day party or bathroom. They do have a bar situated in the middle, with a few tvs located throughout. We came on a Sunday so I appreciated the tvs for the football games We started with the unlimited mimosas, I didn't know they just leave the entire carafe on the table and you can drink as much as you can for 90 minutes. They offer three different types and it was $30 per person. I will say there was a more than decent amount of champagne in the carafes and they were checked often by Zach our waiter. 7/10 because I'd prefer colder mimosas than room temp Crap Dip 5/10 The dip was very good but it was hard to enjoy it with the provided "baguette" as it was crumbling every time you attempted to get the dip. Almost as if it was cut too thin. There also wasn't much jumbo lump crab within the dip. I ordered pita chips for that reason and these were better with the dip Fried Calamari 2/10 This got sent back unfortunately. The calamari was cold, taste as it was frozen and thawed and repeated before cooked. That was extent of the flavor of this dish. Boom Boom Shrimp 9/10 These were amazing, the only thing is I wish there were a little lore for the price. The sauce was a perfect mix of sweet and spicy. The shrimp were cooked perfection. Creole Grilled Salmon 1/10 This also got sent back as it was a lot of things: over cooked, small as heck, and not creole The salmon size they advised is 7oz but it was extremely small. The star is for the sauce and potato I tried. Jalapeño & tequila Burger 4/10 I believe it's just a name because it tastes like a regular burger, but we did opt out of the jalapeños. French fries were good & the burger was a great size. When the bill came the calamari was still on the bill and I asked Zach if this can be removed, and he said I should've told him before the bill came. I advised I told him when it came out which is how we ordered the shrimp appetizer. Ultimately he was able to get the calamari removed, and they also removed the salmon. The music that was playing on the dining level was old school R&b vs the turn up music upstairs.

Audrey L.

Yelp
Took and Uber since parking is crazy. You have the option to make reservations but we got there early enough that we were able to be seated immediately. We could tell it would get better as the night when on. Service was perfect. Our server checked on us frequently and made sure we had everything we needed. Prices were reasonable and food was good.

Marlon M.

Yelp
For dinner we had a 10 Top for our close friend 39th Birthday. When you enter the building the cold breeze travel upstairs. Had to ask security to close door entering restaurant. But it was propped open again. Had to eat & drink with our coat on. Half the table was freezing. After dinner we went upstairs to the club area for hookah. We we fortunate for 1 of the waitress to give us area to sit & smoke the hookah. That area was also cold. It may a addition to the building. After it filled up the temperature elevated to comfortable. Beautiful ambience & can take great pictures there. But be prepared during either they keep the restaurant door open where the drift from downstairs creep up. *side note they only accommodate up to 4 separate checks. So our waitress just gave us a receipt & had us break it down ourselves. We all had to whip out our phones for calculating. Service was slow, with only a few patrons here.

Yelp
Please be very careful in this establishment. My Boyfriend bought a table for his birthday. At the end of the night once the party was over he attempted to pay his $2,000 bill. Lost society DC is unable to swipe your card for anything over $500 at a time so my man agreed to allow the club to run his card 4 times which locked his card due to fraud alert. He offered to leave his card information with the manager to resolve things the next day, however, the club manager refused and had 7 bouncers unlawfully hold us hostage against our will for several hours after the club closed. The bouncers operated more so like a gang rather than security, they were very aggressive and attempted to bully my man 7 against 1. I called the police 4 times and the club bouncers turned the police away 3 times while we were locked inside, I have that on camera. I was absolutely terrified being the only female in the building after hours with 7 big black bouncers holding the door closed physically while taunting us. I do not recommend anyone attending this venue, the bouncers operate as gang members and are liable to cause harm to you.

Taylor D.

Yelp
They accommodated us at the bar as a walk-in. Staff members were polite and attentive. Some minor "rules" that put a damper on the situation. Unable to accommodate my friends want for chicken instead of lobster in her mac and cheese and for the "choice of" 3 tacos...you can only get one type of taco for the order of 3. We decided on a few appetizers and everything was delicious! Would return for a night out but maybe not for a dinner. The option of bottomless mimosas definitely makes me want to return for brunch!

Dre B.

Yelp
Lost society is a Black owned business that focuses on creating an atmosphere where you can enjoy food and drinks and enjoy amazing music. I remember coming to Lost Society at the onset of the pandemic and I love it. They closed and remodeled and we knew we had to get back. Finally we made a reservation on August 12 to celebrate a friend's birthday. When we arrived the host was amazing and got us seated right away. The atmosphere is amazing and I love how they redid the inside and the food and drinks are even different. Let me just say I started with the calamari and it was probably one of the best I've had in a long time. It's almost like a party in your mouth. For the entree I ordered the steak and cheese egg rolls and boom boom shrimp. These dishes were nothing short of amazing. I really love how they put thought into these dishes and the presentation is impeccable. The customer service is also impeccable! Love how the staff are very accommodating and aim to make sure you have an amazing time. I couldn't ask for a better experience. I'll be back and I'm bringing friends.

Yasmailin C.

Yelp
Service was great. Food was eatable but not great. Music was ok, not great. This was an ok date night spot but I wouldn't go back if I'm paying.

G W.

Yelp
Came to the city for a weekend getaway, asked for recommendations this was one named. Food was great, service was great, ambiance was great, most importantly the service was top tier. I wish I knew their names, great job to the female server and bartender. I'll definitely come back.

Breanna T.

Yelp
Lost Society is one of the most fun places to bar hop in DC! I've been here at night when the party is on and poppin at the 3rd level and I most recently came for brunch which is held on their 2nd level. We went for my boyfriends birthday and other accommodated our big party just fine! I completely forgot to take a picture of my food, but the Hennessy BBQ wings were JUST RIGHT. Plus the fries are bomb as well. We did the bottomless mimosas for $35pp and they honestly bring you out big pitchers until your 90 minutes runs out. Our waitress was very attentive to our big party! Highly recommend making reservations in advance which can be done via OpenTable or just sending them a quick email. After Sunday brunch, we joined the day party upstairs where there is another bar, tables for bottle service & hookah and a DJ with a little dance floor. I'm not local to DC so speaking as a visitor, I loved this spot.

Rey W.

Yelp
Went here for happy hour and had a great time..the crab cake sliders was so good..the drinks was great(margaritas & tequila and sprite)the dj was good I will be back!

Tarkeyia P.

Yelp
Went for a birthday dinner and they were very accommodating of our large party. Very nice ambiance and beautifully decorated. Food was a little overpriced in my opinion and wasn't much to rave about. Overall it was a nice time

Dr. Jasmine M.

Yelp
The decor is gorgeous and we were seated right away since they opened at 12. Once seated they inform you that you have 90 mins. Neither one of us drank that day so we had the strawberry sodas mocktail, which was really good! The jerk chicken empanadas were amazing, must try. We had pancakes and French toast which we gave about a 7. But the kicker was the check. It was $110! These 20% charge for everything, a party of 2 and we didn't drink alcohol! And a side order charge for any substitute is crazy. Why would it cost $8 to substitute turkey bacon for turkey sausage. She said upcharge but it was more than a side. If that was the case give me both.

Jaimee M.

Yelp
The music and vibes were nice but it was extremely hot and humid in there. The AC did not work and there aren't any fans to move the air in there. Getting a drink a the bar was also kinda hard and took a while.

Quenterra C.

Yelp
The brunch served here was so good! Everything on the menu was good! The bottomless mimosas will get you your money's worth. Highly recommended!

ItsKita M.

Yelp
I've been here twice for day party after bottomless brunch in establishments close to Lost Society. My friends and I enjoyed those two times. The place can get very crowded and tight so be mindful of that when trying to dance and hold drinks. You can only sit down at a table if the section is booked by you. Like most places bottle service is super expensive which we don't do that anyway so didn't bother me. What did though regarding drinks, the cocktails purchased from the bar are basically $24. Well that turned me always for the future. After the first visit, I made sure bottomless was the first stop because $50 bucks for to cocktails in plastic cups is insane. Just my opinion, if you're good with it by any means please head there for cocktails. We danced and partied on the third floor up where the DJ played. A younger college type crowd, but that never bothers me at all. However, the security can be very aggressive and hovering up there also. They don't make you feel welcome but more intimidating which after that I leave because the environment starts to feel anxiety like something is about to go down. I had a great time with vibes for the short time I was there this past Sunday for the second time. So I think I'll go elsewhere now as I'm always on U st.

Rhonda C.

Yelp
I hadn't been to Lost Society in YEEAARRSS prior to last night and the food wasn't nearly as good as I remembered. I was with a group of 6 or 7 and about half of us enjoyed our food...the other half did not. We did order from the bar menu so here's a quick run down of what we liked and what eventually ended up being sent back. What was good : - the truffle fries...BOMB -the Brussel Sprouts - the Buffalo wings (Someone in my group placed 2 orders) - the chicken sliders What wasn't so good: - quesadilla...no go - the mussels...Disappointment - fish tacos...not much going on there. Had to use some Buffalo sauce from my friend's wings to add some flavor. Other than the food....the place itself is really cute. You get a gorgeous view of the city when you're upstairs or on the middle floor. The ambience on the second floor is dark and moody and the music was pretty great. Can be a bit loud...but that was totally fine for my group. The service was also average...nothing spectacular. Not sure if they were short staffed or there was just more people in the restaurant area than expected...but things were a bit slow...drink items were forgotten etc.

Meekie N.

Yelp
The hostess at the counter was incredibly rude and not welcoming. Our party showed up ahead of our 12:30 reservation and erroneously we did not update the open-table's automatic 2 person selection (our party was 3). The hostess told us that we could not be seated because it said 2 people and the restaurant could not accommodate the 3rd person in our party. While we absolutely hold ourselves accountable for the oversight, the way in which the hostess handled us and the lack of alternatives for your patrons was disheartening. It was not until one of our party members said "there is really no where we can sit" that she said "well your free to sit at the bar" that we were even given an option to adjust. Two people from our party were visiting from California and this was not the best representation of customer service. Bar tender was not friendly, rushed us when ordering food and not attentive at all. Jerk empanadas were top tier. Kudos to the chef and menu/recipe curator. Beautiful ambiance, beautiful concept, beautiful decor. Giving 3 stars for the beauty of this establishment and the kind doormen who greeted us with smiles, spoke to us and even joked with us about being from out of town.

Krystal B.

Yelp
This place was packed as hell. My friends and I had reserved a table. When we got there they said they didn't get our reservation and there was a bunch of drama Around trying to get us the table after our reservation was confirmed. The place was so packed that the crowd was pouring into the table area so you couldn't really get the VIP, "socially distanced" experience like we were looking for. We ended leaving. Also, this place is clearly for the younger crowd.

Della L.

Yelp
No! No! No! We bought a VIP section for $300. When we got to the spot, they tried to charge $500 ADDITIONAL dollars. Our VIP section was supposed to be for 6 people. They told us we needed to sit 3 people ON TOP of the seats and 3 people on the actual seats. They eventually sorted out the $500 fee and said that they "didn't know" about the event brite tickets that we bought. On top of that, service was sporadic because they charged a 20% service charge on top of the $300. The spot is empty, so what they are charging $300 for on a Thursday night is beyond me. I WILL NOT be back. Save your money and go anywhere else.

Keon A.

Yelp
I've been to Lost Society a number of times for happy hour and to party but I recently tried their brunch for the first time and I don't care to ever return for brunch! So, you scan a QR code to access the menu and this is also where you place your food and drink orders and the servers will bring it out to you -- I thought that was so cool and convenient! But the issue came when they begun to bring out the food. I ordered the salmon and brown rice entree but when it was brought to me it was salmon and yellow rice. When I asked what happened to the brown rice, the server seemed confused and proceeded to the kitchen to ask for clarification. When she returned, she said the the chef said that the yellow rice and brown rice were mixed in together and knowing that was not so, I simply grabbed a fork full of the rice and had her observe it herself to see that there was only yellow rice included. She went to the kitchen to relay that there was no brown rice in that dish and came back and said the chef was going to make me a fresh side of brown rice and I was content with that. A few minutes later, the server returned and said there was no brown rice and that I could just get another side item, which only included pancakes, bacon, and a few other items that did not pair well with salmon. The server then shared I could order from the "Shared" menu so I got the Brussel sprouts and my friend gave me the eggs that came with her steak and eggs because she only wanted steak (which ended up only consisting of about 4 bite size steak pieces -- she was still hungry after finishing her entree because the steak was small). The salmon was pretty good but after having to wait for so long to get the rice situation rectified, by the time I ate it it had lost its heat. For the bottomless mimosas, it's a $25 charge, and that's typical, but there was hardly no champagne included in the carafes the server brought out. Because I don't prefer a lot of juice, trying to reduce the amount of sugar I consume, I asked if I could have the champagne separate from the juice but that was not allowed. So, I asked the bottomless mimosas be removed from my check and I just ordered champagne by the glass. While my experience with the food and drinks wasn't the best, the music was great! That was the only thing that kept me there honestly. Because brunch is a big ordeal in DC, I've been to so many and have a much higher expectations for a brunching experience. Lost Society missed the mark with their brunch -- it was a very lackluster experience. I think I'll just continue doing happy hours and parties there, but pass on their brunch.

Yelp
The aesthetics is so cute at this restaurant. Bartenders were sweet and remembered me when I went back. I only had appetizers but it was tasty. Crab dip and jerk chicken empanadas were TOP TIER!

Yelp
I enjoyed a meal at Lost society and found this to be a fun place to catch up with friends. I went more for the food than for the club (so I stayed on the lower level). Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend! - Tasty food: The food here is amazing! Very comfort-style food. I saw a lot of meat entrees on the menu, but there were a lot of options for vegetarians like myself in the appetizer section, so I went all out there, and got brussel sprouts, mac and cheese, and truffle fries. My friend had some sliders which he enjoyed as well. Definitely filled us up and did not break the bank. - Comfortable- The seating in the lower floor of Lost society is comfortable-- lots of comfy chairs and couches in sight of the bars and TVs. This makes the spot a social one, great for catching up with friends while watching sports out of the corner of your eye. - Lively bar scene: The bar scene is popping, grab a beer here or a signature cocktail! Always busy and the drinks come out fast! - Good and friendly service: The service here is attentive and does a great job. The process for ordering food is contactless, so you can order and pay through your food, and they will bring the food right to your table. - Club and entertainment upstairs: There is a busy nightclub on the top floor, which seems busy and which always draws a fun crowd and plays some dancecable beats. - Safety first: The bouncers are respectful and check IDs closely, ensuring that vax cards are up to date and making sure that everyone is behaving and being safe. - Ideal location: The location of Lost Society is great-- you get a view of the bustle of U and 14th streets, as it kind of sits on that intersection. Sit on a comfy couch and watch DC's nightlife play out beneath you.

Yelp
A few friends and I went to Lost Society for their Sunday brunch/ day party and I would highly recommend it. You can rsvp for both on their website and you should do that to guarantee entry. The brunch menu is small but they have great options - I would recommend the wings, mac n cheese and chicken and waffles. They also have bottomless mimosas for $25 (2 hr limit). The day party starts around 4 pm on the roof top deck.

Yelp
this was by far my worst experience that I have ever had with any food establishment. First off, we did not get served until 30 minutes after coming because I am 100% certain they did not want to serve us the brunch menu. Then they had some type of Mexican man who could barely speak English, so when they brought my friends food, we did not understand what he was saying, and he gave it to another table. I paid $30 and waited almost 2 hours for three pieces of shrimp and a teaspoon full of macaroni. The place also gives very deep colorist vibes. the host & servicers think because their lightskin that's enough. I'm confused on if this is a lounge or strip club. and the plate presentation was disgusting.

Yelp
Haja was our waitress and she was great! I had the braised short ribs, tasty but not as tender as I've had from other restaurants. My sisters had the mussels, calamari, and a pasta. They said they loved it.

Yelp
Really surprised with this one. Brunch drinks and food were really good! We ordered the jerk wings with fries, jerk empanadas, and veggie omelette with pork bacon. Only thing I will say almost $9 for added pork bacon is CRAZY. Would come back again though, because fuck it we make money to spend money right? Always shoutout, Jasmine she was an amazing!!

Yelp
0 stars if possible --- NOTHING received but absent customer service -- kitchen apparently closed at 11:00PM but still required to pay $25 just to gain entry for drinks yet nobody came to stand or table

Yelp
Just had brunch at this place earlier and couldn't wait to rave about how awesome our experience was. For starters, the place is perfectly decorated and had very instagrammable content. We were celebrating my sisters birthday and the booth we were sat at was so spacious and pretty. Velvet seats for comfort! Our waiters name was Cole and I must say, he was one of the best servers I've ever encountered. He was sweet, attentive, helpful, funny, and a great photographer! We ordered quite a bit and Cole never once complained about servicing us. We got to know a little about him and his moms cool media company. Customer service means the most to me, so his service alone was enough to make me come back everytime I'm in town. The Arnold Palmer is my highly recommended mocktail choice! The BEST i've ever had. The mimosas were also top tier. We had crab deviled eggs, crab dip, chicken and waffles, and steak and eggs. All cooked to perfection. The steak was so tender and seasoned well! The manager visited our table a few times as well to check in and also made sure the birthday girl was properly celebrated. I could go on and on about how much we enjoyed our brunchtime at Lost Society, but I will leave you with this...request Cole as your server!

Yelp
This place has been my worst experience in DC. I have been in the area for almost ten years and I've never seen something like it happened today. My friend who came from abroad to visit us was asked an ID at the entrance and she showed her international unexpired passport. The bouncer at the door denied her entrance. We were waiting for her at a table and she advised that. The bouncer then asked to see her VISA after screaming at her face. Because she could only get in if she had a valid visa. Like he works for ICE? Or just Trump buddy? I contacted the manager who asked: "but what would you want me to do?" There was no apologies nor anything of a kind of whatsoever. The bartender and one of the security guys upstairs were the only positive points.

Yelp
Ok so I'm SUPER late with this review seeing how we went maybe a month ago lol. Better late than never I guess. We went for brunch. The Place was jammed packed for brunch and we almost didn't get a table. The bar was also full with no place to sit. We waited about 10 minutes. Then decided we'd go somewhere else because we were told about 30-45 minutes for a table , looked at some neighboring places Then as soon as we got ready to leave to go to another place... BAM! Someone calls and cancels a reservation and we immediately got seated. The experience was well worth it. The service was great, people's energy in the building was amazing, and the food! completely loved it. Don't even get me started on the chef!! I asked to speak with him after we finished our meal to compliment him on an outstanding meal. The chef was very humble, respectful and didn't mind taking time out of his day to come meet with us for a few minutes. We will definitely be back. I'm mad I didn't actually take photos of the food. That's not something that crosses my mind when I get ready to eat lol. I just turn into a fat boy ready to chow down. @BNB_King

Yelp
Went for a brunch and day party on the roof one Sunday and it was reallyyyy crowded. Even with a reservation of just three it took a couple minutes to be seated. The brunch was fine but service is slow and waiters usually have multiple tables to attend to. The food was good, nothing crazy and bottomless brunch was reasonable. They make the mix for you and allow you to bring a glass with you to the roof after leaving the restaurant portion. The party was bumpingggg but too hot up there even though half was outside in the covered roof portion. I would come again for lunch on a less crowded day because the place is pretty and the food menu has good options!

Yelp
POOR MANAGEMENT-ZERO STARS I recently had the displeasure of TRYING to dine at Lost Society, and I must say that the experience was nothing short of disappointing. It became evident from the moment me and my group entered the restaurant that poor management was the underlying issue plaguing this establishment. To start with, the staff seemed disorganized and overwhelmed. It was evident that there was a lack of proper communication and coordination among the employees, as we observed them scrambling around in confusion. I would like to say there is a strong issue on how the manager handled a situation among my group. We walk into the building Happy and cheerful. Once we walked in the building we were targeted and grouped with ANOTHER group of guest whom WE DID NOT KNOW, and were told we can not order drinks because we are "WITH THEM". I tried to explain to the bartender that my group does not know them and we arrived about 10 minutes ago. The Bartender was rude and blind to the fact that they did not know WHO THEY ARE SERVING. I then was told I was drunk. WHICH I WAS NOT. Me and my group walking into LOST Society Completely SOBER. I then POLITELY ask for the MANAGER, who never came to have a civilized conversation as to why Me and my group are being targeted. Whoever was in charge on 7/1/23 proceeded to hide in their back office and did not properly handle a situation that can lead to a discrimination lawsuit. Now back to the story. About 5 minutes after asking for the manager the Bouncer came with bottled water and said "here, we are told that you have to leave because you are with this (group) of people " I looked at them is with disappointment and replied with "I am sober and I just arrived here 10 minutes ago, and we do not know them. I never seen them before in my life..I don't even live here" I ask for the manager AGAIN who NEVER came to show their authority. It sadden me to see people of color discriminate against one other. Perhaps the most glaring sign of poor management was the inconsistency in who they serve. Furthermore, the lack of effective leadership was evident in the absence of any form of customer service recovery. Despite raising our concerns to the manager, they appeared disinterested and dismissive, offering no apologies or attempts to rectify the situation. It was apparent that customer satisfaction was not a priority for the management, further highlighting their incompetence. In conclusion, my experience here was a clear reflection of poor management practices. The disorganized and overwhelmed staff, lack of cleanliness, and indifference towards customer concerns all pointed to a lack of effective leadership and management oversight. It is disheartening to witness such potential squandered due to mismanagement. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a pleasant dining experience, as it falls far below the standards expected in the industry.
