L'Osteria di Chichibio

Wow, what a restaurant. I thought poligano a mare would be super touristy and expensive. This restaurant was cheaper than the ones I went to in monopoli but infinitely better. I ordered two starters, the tuna tartare which was a huge serve for a measly 15 euros but so fresh and tasty. The stuffed cuttlefish - stuffed with polenta with the most delicious red sauce was so perfect. I could eat that everyday..again s really generous portion and only a starter. Service was really good, especially given I speak almost no Italian. Can't believe how cheap it is especially considering it's Michelin rated (and well deserved)

Celebrated my belated 50th birthday here and the food was amazing and the staff very friendly as well. Seafood was very fresh, and flavours of all the dishes we got were outstanding. I can see why this gets great ratings and is Michelin starred. Would highly recommend coming here.

Absolutely top-notch Italian fine dining. The waitstaff were attentive, helpful and not pretentious. The food was delicious (we shared an entree, each had a pasta, shared a dessert). We were walk-ins - and the experience at this restaurant is undoubtably a highlight of our holiday in Italy. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Extremely tasty food that is beautifully presented on the plates. I had to remove 2 stars because although the food was Michelin star quality, the service wasn't at point, slow and not efficient. My wife had the mixed seafood platter and wasn't given an empty plate for the shells nor wet towel to clean her hand. My son and I had pasta with seafood in a bowl and no where to put the shells; we had to wait forever to get an extra drink although it wasn't crazy busy.

Not really convinced by this restaurant. It has numerous Michelin guide awards but we struggled to understand why. For starter we had octopus and while it was beautifully presented, the octopus was well overcooked. For primi we had pasta with porcini and prawns. The prawns again were overcooked and rubbery. For restaurant that specializes in seafood it is quite shocking. One really good dish we had was squid ink pasta with seafood. But otherwise it was a very average experience.

I would travel back to Polignano a Mare just to go eat at L’Osteria di Chichibio !!!! The quality of the fish is top notch, you cannot find fresher sea products. The cuisine is too notch. The service is so courteous but with that happy and smiley vibe from Southern Italy. I had a lunch that I’ll definitely remember!!!

It's a shame. looks good, tastes normal. They don't speak English and owner should learn anger management. You are not professional.how can you shout to customer . We just asked the dish is correct. Worst experience I ever had at the restaurants.

Nice little spot a little upscale. We started with the eggplant parm seafood which was good presentation was better than the taste. Main courses we had one zucchini pasta and sea urchin. The zucchini one was watery but the sea urchin was pretty good. The waiter initially told us there was no room but then we spoke to the host and he sat us down immediately so that was an odd exchange. Overall score 4.1
