20 Best Things To Do in St. Martin

"Private nature reserve Loterie Farm is one of the best places on St. Martin to enjoy the island's rich, forested interior. The reserve has its own zip-lining course amidst a canopy of mango and mahogany trees and is the starting point for the trek to the summit of Pic Paradis. For a more relaxing experience, opt for drinks at the location’s "jungle pool" or a snack at the onsite restaurant." - Travel + Leisure Editors

The 18 Best Saint-Martin Restaurants - Eater

"Loterie Farm is a sexy eco-resort where energetic visitors can hop on ziplines or hike in the tropical hills — but most people flaunt their beach bodies by the Jungle Pool. The kidney-shaped water is refreshed by waterfalls, and ringed by mango trees, variegated vines, chaise longues, and cabanas. The extensive drink menu includes rum punch, passionfruit daiquiris, pina coladas, mojitos, margaritas, and fruity zero-proof creations. The resort’s restaurant also makes everything from salads and burgers to platters filled with beef samosas, barbecue riblets, accra (salt cod fritters), crab-spinach dip, and hummus. Don’t be alarmed if you see giant iguanas on the DJ platform or eating fern fronds next to your cabana. They were here first. Admission is 25 euros per person or 8 euros for a cabana. A very cool place, designed for adult relaxation. I can only imagine how fun it gets on days meant for adults. We visited on a weekday, and they were open until 4 PM. The price includes a bucket of beers. The pool and surrounding area are beautiful. The restroom is clean. Great music. If you love partying and having fun, this place is for you. Highly recommend!

Had an amazing time here. Very green and beautiful. Affordable and actually fun. They have a really good ziplining through the forest and you get a beautiful view of the island and the sea. It felt safe and looked well maintained. Very good and fun guides. The drinks and the food are also amazing. There’s also a pool at the base which looked cool but we did not have time for it. We called in advance to confirm availability.

Had a very tasty lunch in a beautiful setting. Our server was very patient and kind. I have many food allergies and he was very careful and made sure everything was done separately! We had a peaceful and relaxing time

A cool place and a must-visit while in St. Martin! The drinks were excellent, and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. It wasn’t very crowded during our visit, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The pool is really beautiful and clean, and the music added to the great vibe. We even spotted some monkeys at the entrance – such a unique touch!

Definitely not worth the time or money. The trip up there is long and the service is slower than anywhere on the island for the lowest quality food. My burger was burnt meat with no seasoning and the fries bland. We waited two and a half hours for burgers. Once we finally did eat another hour or so to get the check. At that point our day was shot. No time to hike or go to the pool. The only good thing we could say is they have the best espresso martini on the island.

Shoutout to all the incredible people and organizations dedicated to conserving our planet's natural beauty! Places like @loteriefarm in St. Martin are true gems, offering a glimpse into nature's untouched splendor. These natural oases are not only breathtakingly beautiful but serve as vital sanctuaries for wildlife and vital ecosystems. They remind us of the importance of preserving our environment for future generations. In a world where development often threatens delicate habitats, these spaces stand as powerful examples of sustainable practices, conservation, and the deep connection between humans and the natural world. Also it’s really cool that they offer on their property amazing places for kids to play and for adults refreshments at nearby restaurants as well as full menu after 11 AM.

We planned to hike to Pic Paradis and relax by the pool after. We arrived at 9.30 am on a Saturday with no prior reservation and were a bit worried it will already be to busy. However, while there were some visitors already, it was still easy to book a cabanita. The kind lady at the reception suggested we do that before heading of for hike, because in that case, the hike fee is lower (5€ instead of 10 €). We had a lovely hike along a well marked trail. It took us an hour and 15 min to the top. Just a word of caution - if you see a red-yellowish wasp-like creature flying towards you, move away fast. This is the Jack Spaniard wasp that protects its territory fiercely and its sting burns for hours - I learned that the hard way. As we returned to the Loterie farm, our cabanita was waiting for us. Towels are not included in the cabanita fee (towel rental is 5€extra), however a welcome drink is included. All kudos to the staff around the pool for kind, quick and attentive service! The food was also exquisite, highly recommend the steak with blue cheese sauce. The only downside were some of the guests that were rather loud and rude, playing their own music that clashed with was played by the establishment and in general behaving like they are having a private party. So, a word of caution, this is more of a party place, you might not be able to enjoy silence and serenity by the pool. However, with good food, nice drinks, beautiful green surroundings, and much to do (not just hiking, you can also do the zip line if you feel adventureous!) this is a great place to spend a day!

My husband and I did the Fly Zone Extreme zip lining and the Chewbaca View Point hike. Zip line experience: good amount of lines and varying lengths to the platforms; super high up for great views! I’ve zip lined in many countries and I’d say this is the most relaxed one which was kind of unnerving. No helmets and about two minutes of instructions before the guide zip lines across the first line and leaves you hoping you remember what to do. It all turned out well and was still super fun but felt a little lax for an extreme sport - wouldn’t recommend to those new to ziplining! Hiking experience: we liked the exertion we needed for this hike - just the right amount and led to great views! We didn’t run into anyone which was fun seclusion, too. You do have to pay to hike which we didn’t know and you also have to start the longest hike by a certain time in order to be able to get back before dark, which we also didn’t realize how long that was so we opted for a shorter hike. Keep those in mind if you plan to try the longest hike.
